 Dark shines, bringing me down making my heart feel sore Sully gave a thumbs up to burger guy when he offered two, and settled into his seat to wait. It was nice here. He thought Shay and Naia might like living near a lake like this, but then the thought of them running out there without him and drowning put a stop to that. No lakes. Not until they went to Hogwarts, anyway. Someone came up on his right, and he turned to look up at a cute brunette who started gushing over his career. Sully was taken aback for a moment, not having expected to come across any fans at this place, but then she was kind of adorable in her knowledge of his career, it was impressive. Grinning, Sully held out a hand to her, using the other to pull a chair closer to his. "Hey, it's great to meet you. Sit down," he offered, just as a plate with two burgers on floated above his head. Sully caught it and put it on his knee, picking one of the burgers up and smelling it. "Oh, man, these smell amazing. Do you want one?" He offered the other burger to the girl. "It's so great that you follow my career like that. I'm flattered." He really was. "What's your name?"  Stay out, and we'll live forever now Out of nowhere, a posse of younger people swarmed around the food table, piling their plates high and throwing compliments towards him and Liam thick and fast. Leo couldn't keep up with who was saying what, but he did spot the reason for the huge group standing nearby in a stunning red dress. "Well, if it isn't Lola James. Filling my house with young, beautiful people once again." Leo grinned at London with a shake of his head. He had added a plus one to every invite he'd given, but for Lola he'd put plus ten, knowing full well that she would bring a group of friends no matter what he put on the invite. She was a popular kid and Leo could see why, she was sweet and friendly, and pretty fun. And now he'd probably need to head to the kitchen and get more food soon to make up for the massive amount Lola and her friends were eating. Chlo poured herself a whiskey on the rocks as Felix came in "Hey, handsome." She said as she capped the whiskey and put it away while Kiki sounded sexy as hell. Work place hook-ups were never a good idea, according to some, Chloe was fully on board with them. Drama, gossip, more drama, who didn't love all that!? Kiki seemed to be in charge of getting Felix all set up and Chloe grabbed a beer for Liam. She turned around to leave the bar and a couple more cuties made their way in, heading for the stereo but not putting anything on. "Ohh, that's a great one." She said, approvingly before she carried on through and headed out the back to Liam, passing him his beer, "Cheers, lover." she said, raising her glass and taking a sip.

Okay, she had just rambled like a crazy person at one of the most talented people she’d ever seen play quidditch and Lunete was entirely ready to apologise for being a huge pain in the arse and she’d let him be. Much to her surprise he was really chilled out, even offering her a burger. She couldn’t refuse a burger from The Sullinator! “Oh, cool. Thanks very much” She smiled, taking the other burger from the plate and unafraid of taking a bite. The moment she did she couldn’t help but think she needed to learn to cook better, she was okay, but nothing she could make was as delicious as this burger. “Sorry, it’s your day off, you shouldn’t have to be dealing with blabbing fans.” She chuckled, “I’m Lunete, but people call me Lu or Nete.” She said, hoping she wasn’t being too much of an imposing prat!

Last minute? How did she look a million galleons for just a last minute outfit? Geralina was just incredible. As she pointed out that they were matching, Jasper looked down at his own shirt, like some kind of moron that couldn’t remember what he’d put on. He chuckled and looked to Geralina’s dress that really flattered her figure. “So we do.” He chuckled, just glad there were no naked Santa’s involved this time, Jasper was already in a huff with Leo, he didn’t want to give the guy more fuel for the fire.
Geralina wanted to know if Leo had soft drinks and Jasper nodded his head, “You’ll be fine, I’m sure there’s a few non-alcoholic options. If not then I’m sure Tersha will be grinning from ear to ear at all the business the Knight Bus will be getting after this afternoon.” The Knight Bus was a genius business, really. There were plenty of witches and wizards that liked a good drink, but once you were drunk you couldn’t apparat and navigating the floo network exits could be tricky, as well as all that soot involved, so the Knight Bus was a good option for getting home, provided you were on the mainland, of course, there was no travelling over water, although when you were drunk, the zipping and sliding of the Knight Bus wasn’t exactly the best for your stomach or your head. “We’ll head out back and I’ll check with Leo about the soft drinks.” He said, leading the way through Leo’s impressive home.

Killy managed to somehow talk his new buddy into showing him where the record player was. Halley wasn't surprised, he was always able to get his way with things and Halley just carried on with what she was doing, folding up her bag that she'd carried multiple desserts in and finding a cupboard to tuck it away in so it didn't make the place look messy. As she closed the cupboard she head a smooth voice that caught her by surprise, she didn't recognise and yet it felt as though there something familiar about it, as though she knew it from a past life. Halley turned to look at the man the voice had come from. She saw the most incredible looking man standing in the kitchen and he was talking to her, her head was spinning. Halley placed a hand against the counter, steadying herself just a little. Had she turned too fast? Was he really so hot that he could make her dizzy? Probably the spinning thing, right? Right. He mentioned the pav in the fridge and she gave a short little giggle, a noise she had no idea she could make. She looked mortified with herself. Had that really come out of her? What the heck was going on? "Yeah, I brought a few dessert options." She said, trying to sound as casual as possible, possibly making herself actually sound a little too casual somehow, while also giving the complete vibe that she was some kind of crazy person that brought a bunch of desserts to a party. Which she was.

Leo's barbecue was always a good afternoon. A few friends just chilling by the pool, having a bite to eat, enjoying the sun and just letting off steam. Ant wasn't expecting any dramas. Last year he had to miss out because of work, but he'd heard all about Jasper's tumble. Ant didn't know the guy too well, but he'd had a few small conversations with the guy to know he wasn't an arsehole so Ant had felt kind of sorry for him when Leo had mentioned it, although Ant would have been a liar if he said he'd kept a straight face.
Arriving at Leo's, all on his lonesome, Ant headed for the front door which swung to let him in. Ant knew his way around well enough and headed for the back where he knew the action would be, only nerds and outcasts would be inside on a gorgeous day like today. "Hello, ladies and gents! Hope we're all having a good time." He said looking around the party, spotting a particular blonde that had then tendency to take his breath away, and today was no different. Liv was a knockout. Head to toe perfection and Ant stared at her a little too long before he looked to Leo and the barbecue, "Mate, that looks sublime!" He said, giving a good sniff of the air.

It wasn't often that Dorcas came across people that found her ability to be a giant pain in the arse an endearing quality, but Healer Zabini was one such person. It was a strange new friendship that was forming, but Dorcas genuinely thought that Leo seemed like an okay kind of guy, plus he knew Jasper and Dorian, so it kind of made sense that the two of them would become friends in their own way eventually. Apparating in front of his home, Dorcas thought it was quite modest compared to the in your face stylings of a lot of the upper magical world. At any other point in her life she would have thought of the home as outrageously huge, but now she couldn't say a word because she was practically living in a damned castle. Dorcas saw Ant heading in and she looked at her watch. She was earlier than she intended but it was still after the start time that Leo had given her. He was a healer and she'd expected it to be mostly Healers at this thing, but knowing Ant was here and figuring Dorian would be too, it seemed as though it was going to kind of be like a work party. As long as it wasn't packed with auror and ministry people, she supposed it wouldn't be too bad.
Dorcas made her way to the front door and raised her hand to knock but the door swung open for her. She looked about before stepping in, a force of habit when she was in a new place, and then made her way through to where the noise was all coming from. It was pretty nice, Dorcas thought. She loved to swim so the pool looked good, but even better was the view of the lake, and Dorcas could spy a little dock, too, and she wondered if the depth was safe enough to dive in to. Turning her head she spotted Leo and Ant as well as a whole lot of others just mingling with one another. She gave Leo a little head nod and then headed for the bloke sat alone in the shade, enjoying the hell out of a burger. "Hey," She said with a bit of a smile, recognising him now that she was closer, "Johnny, right?" Dorcas took a seat next to him, she rarely forgot a name, "I used to take my cats to see you." She said. It had probably been a while since she'd last seen Johnny, with being all married and crap, Dorcas had learnt that Roddy had a vet for all of Aurora's pets and so Dorcas' cats were just looked after by the Lestrange animal veterinarian.

Liam had never thrown a barbeque of his own before, he'd only ever had quiet ones with family, nothing this intense. It was satisfying seeing everyone tucking in and complimenting the food, even though all he was doing was flipping burgers and other bits and plating them up. Chloe came back with a beer and he took it from her, clinking the bottle against her glass. "Cheers, baby." He leaned in to kiss her on the cheek. "Do you want anything?" he asked, beer in hand, arm draped around Chloe's waist, other hand flipping over a burger. It appeared he would have to fend for himself, but he was quite happy sitting with a burger and a fan. It wasn't what he imagined he would be doing, but he was enjoying it. "So, how do you know this Leo guy?" he asked, taking another bite of his burger and quickly wiping away some sauce that tried to make a break for it down his chin. He shut the fridge door and glanced around the room for anything that looked like it might be the freezer, finally spotting a handle that matched the one on the fridge. There was something so familiar about her, but he couldn't put his finger on it. His smile widened, as he reached his hand for the door behind her, pulling it open an inch to reveal the freezer. "Are Doc or Gabriel here yet?" he asked, really needing to get someone to help Liam with the barbeque so that he could mingle and welcome a few of his guests. He looked Ant up and down. "Don't burn anything, I'll be right back." He'd come across some unusual names over the last few years as a vet, but those had stuck in his head as most unoriginal and yet weirdest ever. Johnny enjoyed that kind of cleverness. "And you're... Meadowes?" It took him a second to make the guess but he was pretty sure he was right.
