PERSONALITY Boggart: His wife surrounded by several men, all naked, all kinds of horrors happening ... Mirror of Erised: Himself happy with a new wife and children. He doesn't feel ready to find love just yet but it's his deepest desire to be truly loved. Patronus: Jasper cannot produce a patronus and his happiest memory (after marrying his wife and proposing to her became total and utter shit) was saving the life of a two year old nine years ago. Thanks to him she started Hogwarts and has written to him a few times over the years. Jasper's a very relaxed and easy going kind of guys. He's friendly and nice company to be around. He can tolerate all manner of people and isn't as fussed about blood status as some of his peers. He's a good friend to those that take the time to get to know him and actually be his friends but to strangers he's just a nice guy that they've met at some point. He's perhaps not the most memorable of people because he doesn't make a fuss, he'd rather sit at a table with the wrong order of food than to speak up and get what he'd ordered. He definitely prefers to avoid confrontation but will deal with it head on if it turns out it's going to be unavoidable. Having always had a love for learning Jasper found once he started school that he's actually very smart. He learnt fast, often reading his text books in the summer holidays before school even started. He would challenge himself to learn new things, learn different kinds of magic. He found dark magic particularly fascinating although it's not something he'd ever use - the boy has a conscience! Jasper never really made any enemies, or if he did he was unaware of who they were. There is a rather long list of about thirty individuals that Jasper has a dislike of thanks to a list of his wife's he found after her death. She was the love of his life but after her betrayal Jasper lost himself a little, pulling away from functions for a while until he found his feet again. He's putting himself back out there in the world, choosing not to sit and brood although when he's home alone he can't help where his mind takes him. He's not ready for romance, he's never been particularly forward with women, but all that's happened with his wife has left him even mor unsure of the fairer sex. They had a son straight off the bat and he was treated like royalty to the couple. Jasper was their pride and joy and he always strived to be the perfect son and perfect big brother. He was soft and gentle as a child, never wanting to hurt a fly. He had such a docile nature that people were drawn to. He was a calm space in the sea of chaos in his family and he very much enjoyed talking and spending time with his family and friends. Showing signs of magic at six years old was a relief for Jasper's parents. They were beginning to suspect that their son could quite possibly be a squib, something that had been a worry since he'd turned four and still not shown any signs of magic. Still he managed to float a teddy bear across the room in order to try and soothe his baby sister Alice and his parents realised his brand of magic was a much more caring and far simpler kind than they'd expected and that perhaps he had indeed performed such subtle magic before. They were just relieved that their worry was for nothing. When Jasper went off to Hogwarts, and sorted into Ravenclaw, he wasn't really sure what to expect from it. He knew what the school was like from his reading and he knew he would get to see friends from all the pureblood get togethers he'd gone to his entire life, but it was still a daunting experience. Calm and collect Jasper spent his first year reading a lot, barely socialising unless it was with those he already knew. He was a whizz at Transfiguration and sought Professor McGonagall's help in advance transfiguration. By the time his seventh year finished he was a fully accomplished Animagus, transfiguring into a bumblebee of all things. Jasper took advantage of his parents wealth and spent the first year after school travelling. He visited many countries on his little world tour before returning home and meeting the woman he believed to be the love of his life. Jasper had met Ebony Kibbit at school and always thought of her as cute and the type of girl he could see himself spending life with, but she always seemed to have a boyfriend. He wasn't one to sweep a girl off her feet if she was already seeing someone and so he'd always left her be. The day Jasper proposed to Ebony was the day that had made his life feel like it had a purpose. He wanted to give Ebony the world. Their wedding was large and lavish, no expense spared so that she could feel like a Princess. They decided to start trying for a child as soon as possible but it didn't matter, they couldn't have children. Regardless of his wife not being able to give him an heir, Jasper remained with Ebony knowing that the Flint name would be carried on with his brothers. He felt no pressure at all to have children and he would happily give up his rights to the family home so that one of his brothers might have it when the time came for them to start a family. Life was easy, simple, beautiful. Until the day that crushed him. The news that Ebony had been killed by a man in the streets of Knockturn Alley. Made out to sound as though she'd simply been in the wrong place at the wrong time but then more and more information was unearthed and Jasper's whole view of his wife changed dramatically. Ebony Flint had been murdered by muggleborn wizard Daniel Stumps. The pair had gotten into a fight after being seen leaving a bar with one another, having been drinking there, fondling and groping one another in public until they were thrown out for sneaking away to the toilets together. Jasper's head was a mess. He couldn't believe what he was hearing. His wife had been out with another man, kissing, grabbing, being grabbed. Jasper refused to believe it, he had to believe that she was being attacked or just about anything else. That could not have been the case. For the first time in their relationship, Jasper invaded her privacy. He looked through her things, hell bent on proving that his wife was innocent of cheating on him but all he found was more heart ache. She had a little black book with names and details of various men. Everything from their worth to their blood status was included as well as rankings on their looks, kissing, foreplay and intercourse. Jasper flipped through name after name, broken and devastated. He found the reason they could not have children and it was that his wife was still on birth control, no doubt to stop herself being unsure of whose child she might be carrying. That was the first time in Jasper's life that he ever felt real rage. He lashed out at everything around him, breaking priceless pieces of art, punching holes in walls until he felt nothing in his knuckles and his hands ran red with blood. He was a broken man, his reality had been twisted beyond recognition but he carried on. He carried on for his mother whom he was always close with, and for his father who had become quite unwell. He moved back home, taking over as the head of the family as his fathers health deteriorated rapidly. He took over the family business having been raised to do so anyway, it had always just been expected that it wouldn't be for ten or so more years. Putting his life as a Healer on hold, Jasper began looking over all that the family owned and controlled, getting everything in line and good order so that when his father's passing comes, as it inevitably will, he will be prepared with a smooth transition.
