Everything happened all at once, and even Felix’s cat-like reflexes weren’t enough to save them from what was happening. Kiki smirked at him and basically begged him to fuck her brains out, though not in so many words, when the drink she had been holding flew from her hand. Felix had only just enough time to swing his head out of the way to avoid being smacked straight in the temple with a heavy glass, the drink traveling on to its destination without anyone around giving it much thought because just as Felix had dodged the assailing beverage he stepped on the edge of the table, causing the other side to lurch upward. It was all Felix could do to try to position himself under Kiki to soften their fall as the leg of the table buckled beneath them and sent both bodies toward the floor. Felix landed on his back with a hard thud, the wind being knocked from his lungs and making him unable to speak for a moment, though the noise of their shenanigans was likely heard throughout the party.

As she padded toward the pool, another even more familiar face caught her eye. Splayed on his back, long hair flowing out around his head in the water like a crown, was Ollie. She smiled brighter and continued toward the edge of the pool to call to him when suddenly she was met with a shock of cold water that made her gasp. Her front was soaked, and she stood there open mouthed for a moment, allowing her brain to work out what had just happened as a crashing sound could be heard from the house behind her. She was too stunned to bother turning toward the chaos inside. Brushing water from her eyes, Dora looked to Ollie in the pool and then saw the culprit that had dowsed her with an inconsiderate splash, prematurely ruining her poolside look. “You bloody twat,” she hollered at Ollie’s dumb girlfriend, still dripping onto the patio as her dazed expression turned angry.

Did she... Did she suffer? Did she go quickly? What horribly awful, awkward questions were going through this poor girl’s mind before she decided not to ask anything of her dead sister’s last boyfriend? The smell of burnt burgers, swiftly accompanied by the sound of Jasper burning himself on the grill, solidified Dorian’s decision. “Maybe I ought to help out here for a bit,” he said, gaze shifting between London’s and Jasper’s faces, “No offense, Jas. Ger needs a drink and you could probably use a bit of ice on that.” He gave Jasper a reassuring look, quick but still conveying his thanks at the attempt. He looked back to London. “If you don’t mind me helping, that is.” Crashing sounded from inside the house, and a woman shrieking at someone near the pool seemed to cause enough commotion around them that Dorian was able to slip around to the barbeque before anyone could complain and began transferring more meat to the grill.

Ollie laughed aloud, head dipping under the water for a moment as he did so. Echo was absolutely marvelous. She was always up for a laugh, always so fun and lively. He could be his complete idiotic self around her because she’d act just as goofy right back at him. Her dive, as graceful as it wasn’t, caused a huge splash to wash over the edge of the pool and straight onto... “Dora!” He knew she’d been invited and was planning on coming, but Ollie hadn’t seen her arrive. In fact, he only saw her a second before Echo’s giant wave accidentally covered her. At the same time, he felt Echo’s arms reach up around him and grabbed him. He floundered and sunk under the water, holding his breath and laughter until they had both resurfaced. He came up for air and let his laughter escape. "That was brilliant, babe!" Still laughing, he turned to Dora and said “sorry, Dor” just as she yelled something uncalled for to Echo. “Hey, come on. It was an accident.”

"Sheesh, Jasper, are you okay?" she asked, putting her spatula down and grabbing his wrist. His palm was bright red. Lola whistled. Dorian was insisting on staying, telling Jasper that he needed to ice his hand, and she agreed wholeheartedly. Not because she wanted to stand and chat with Dorian for the next however long. Well, maybe she did. "He's right, go and grow some new skin or something," she joked, letting his wrist go. She smiled at Dorian as he came around and started to help her with the food. "Thanks." There was a bang inside the house, and someone was shouting over by the pool. Lo glanced over her shoulder to see Dora soaked and annoyed. When did Dora get there? And why did she look like she was about to have a Pansy sized tantrum. Kiki's mouth opened in shock, but before she could say anything, Felix stepped back to dodge out of the way of her glass and the whole table tipped over. She let out a squeal of surprise as she topped over, landing on top of Felix on the floor, the table tipped over beside them. What the hell had just happened!? She let her head rest, forehead down, on Felix's chest as her heart hammered frantically, then she burst into a fit of laughter, lifting her head to look at Felix. A few people passed, heading Merlin only knew where, and even when the guy in the bathroom came out and trotted down the stairs past him, Liam didn't get up. He looked towards the house to see a fancy cocktail flying towards him, and caught it in one hand, sloshing a bit over the side of the glass. "You bloody twat!" Sully looked around, wondering who he'd offended, then realised it was a petite woman shouting at the edge of the pool. And she wasn't shouting at him, she was shouting at Echo, who had just jumped in with another splash. She wobbled, whacking her leg on the corner of the drinks table and heading towards disaster. Killian lunged forwards and caught her arm, holding her up before she could face plant and really embarrass herself. "Cool dance moves," he said, grinning down at her, holding on to her until she was steady on her feet. And just holding on to her because it felt nice to have her so close.
