PERSONALITY Boggart: You know Who wiping out her entire family for not being pure. Mirror of Erised: Herself surrounded by kittens. Just literally sitting in a pile of kittens, without a care in the world. She has no shame in the fact that she hopes to one day be a crazy cat lady. Or a crazy dog lady. Maybe even a crazy baby owl lady. All the baby animals. Patronus: Lioness - Sharla has a pretty strong Patronus, with roots in defensive and combative magic, she can blast one out quite easily. Her happiest memory to date is from a few years ago. She spent a whole month of her summer living in Spain, acting as a private tutor for a family there. She got to spend every day in the sun, teaching kids how to kick arse, and their cat gave birth to a litter of kittens, which she got to watch, and they let her keep one as thanks for a job well done with their children. Sharla is a firecracker. Never afraid of a new adventure, she will try anything once, or twice, or three times if it was particularly fun. She can be quite comfortable in a room full of strangers if she has to, and will get along and make the best of the situation. She's fun, she has a lot of wit, and a very silly sense of humour, and she is very open-minded, never one to turn her nose up at a person without getting to know them a bit first. Don't let her lovable, friendly, silly nature fool you, though, she is badass. She is highly trained in defensive magic, duelling, and dark arts, and was a notorious Curse-Breaker for five years after leaving school. She can kick anyone's arse without breaking a sweat. Not that she wants to. She'd much rather have a drink and a flirt and a giggle. And don't expect her to look the same every time you see her. Sharla is a Metamorphmagus, and loves to change her hair and eye colour all of the time. She's not afraid to stand out from the crowd and look different, and it's clear with the way she dresses and presents herself boldly. She loves her family, and will drop anything to be with them. She gave up her job for them because they were too worried about her, and she'd do it again if it made them happy. She is a big softy at heart, though it can be hidden behind a flirty confident nature. Really, all she wants is kittens and candy floss, and good company. She puts on a show of being indestructible, just fine in any situation, and she is, she really is, but it takes its toll. She has to go away and unwind after particularly gruelling social gatherings or strenuous adventures, but honestly, she wouldn't slow down for the world. She loves to keep busy, and live life to the fullest, and gets great pleasure from teaching kids how to take care of themselves and not get bullied. She is the ultimate advocate for self-confidence, and will spread it to as many people as she can, especially in such dark times. HISTORY Mother: Melody Lovegood nee Barker, 49, muggleborn, Ravenclaw Alumna Father: Lycus Lovegood, 50, halfblood, Hufflepuff Alumni Siblings: Fauna Lovegood, twin sister, 27, halfblood, Hufflepuff Alumna Xenophilius Lovegood, brother, 22, halfblood, Ravenclaw Alumni Partners: None Others: Leona, 2, tabby cat, love of her life Pandora Lovegood, 22, sister-in-law Sharla Violet Lovegood was born on a mid-November night, with rain battering the windows at two in the morning. She came out completely bald and screaming, and was quickly followed by her twin sister, Fauna, who had a shock of black hair. By the time Sharla was old enough to have a fine covering of hair on her tiny head, it tended to change colour every day, to the amazement and confusion of her parents. Fauna's hair never changed. It stayed black, and her eyes bright blue, but Sharla was like a living rainbow. Between her hair shifting colour every day, and her eyes going from blue, to green, to brown, to violet, and every other colour on the spectrum, her parents never knew what to expect from their eldest child. They often wondered what she looked like, but it took quite a few years for her to learn to pause her Metamorphmagi gene. It was a law unto itself for most of her babyhood and toddler years, and Sharla enjoyed the fun and craziness of it all. By the time she was six, she could control it a lot better, and had mastered changing her appearance at will, which meant she could also switch it off at will, and her family were probably a little bit too emotional and happy to learn that she looked a lot like her twin sister. Black hair, blue eyes, just beautiful. Sharla enjoyed fun, she enjoyed an adventure, and a bit of chaos, while distressing for some, was a blast for her. She liked the unpredictable, and not knowing what was coming next. She was the complete opposite of a control freak, and enjoyed risks and gambles and life being exciting. She was such a sweetheart with it. A very loving little girl, she would always comfort her mother with the best cuddles after she'd loop the looped on her broomstick six times in a row in the garden. "See, mum. I didn't vomit, or break my neck!" *cuddle cuddle* Absolutely fearless! She loved her siblings, too, and was exceptionally close to her twin, as well as her baby brother, Xenophilius. She and Fauna went off to Hogwarts when Xeno was only six, where the twins were both sorted into Hufflepuff. Sharla would send howlers to her little brother every single week, but not angry ones, funny ones. She would sing silly songs to him, or just shout "I LOVE YOU, I MISS YOU, YOU STINK!" obnoxiously loud. Their mum would help Xeno send proper letters back, and he adored Sharla's silly way of keeping in touch and making him still feel part of his sisters' world. She and Fauna were dorm mates, along with three other pretty awesome girls. She formed a strong bond with them, as well as a few kids from other houses. Sharla was a sociable little creature, she could walk into a room full of strangers and just muck in, completely happy and confident and able to find common ground with just about anyone. She was well liked, and her sense of humour and ability to laugh at herself and have a go at pretty much anything won her a lot of friends. She joined the Frog Choir, which was brilliant, and was always one of the people cheering loudest at Quidditch matches, even if her own team weren't playing. Sharla had a zest for life, and she also had a zest for Defence Against the Dark Arts at school. She shone in the lesson, and was top of her class by the time graduation crept up on her. She wasn't sure what to do with herself when she left school. She didn't want to be an Auror, but her love of combat and duels, and kicking arse left her needing something physical and challenging to keep her happy. She soon stumbled across an advert for openings at Gringotts. They were looking for new Curse-Breakers, and she thought she might as well have a go. It sounded fun, and she'd get to travel and do exciting things. She was nineteen, and thrust head first into a dangerous world, and boy did she shine. She gained herself a reputation as someone not to mess with. The day she quite literally held back a crumbling temple when her colleague had triggered a nasty curse, was the day people started to take her seriously. She loved the job, it was fun, and she got to see some incredible sights, but the danger element was real. She saw people dying around her far too often for her liking, and her family worried for her. Eventually, Sharla decided that five years doing such a high risk job was enough stress for her parents and siblings, and she handed in her notice, settling back in England for good. She took an opening at Hogwarts as the Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher, which was an amazing opportunity. She was twenty five, had lots of experience under her belt, and was passionate about the subject. What could go wrong? Everything. Everything went wrong. The one curse she couldn't break was one set by You Know Who himself, and it took her down despite her best efforts to avoid it. She taught at the school for almost a full year before it happened. A seventh year boy, one who's name she curses every day of her life for being a lying little shit, fancied her. He would flirt with her during lessons, and she would tell him to stop being inappropriate. He didn't like being rejected, and eventually, he went to Dumbledore, telling the headmaster that Professor Lovegood had tried to kiss him and he didn't feel safe with her in the castle any more. Of course, Dumbledore knew the lad was lying, but word had begun to spread, the little shit had told all of his friends and the rumour mill was going wild. Hot DADA Professor tries to seduce student. Dumbledore had to let her go, and so she finished up her year in her dream job, packed her bags, and stormed out of the castle like a raging fury. That was a year ago, and the damage hadn't actually been as bad as it had seemed. It certainly hadn't leaked into the outside world, like she had feared. It seemed Professor Dumbledore had done all he could to quiet the rumours, and help Sharla out a little. He was a good man, and it did help her out a lot. She began working as a duelling tutor full time. She took on private clients and went to their homes, or welcomed them into hers, and taught adults and children alike. She even gets the odd foreign client, and gets to travel abroad for weeks at a time, and it's just the perfect life for her, really. She has her cat, and her sister, and her baby brother recently got married. Things are looking up. She recently joined the Order of the Phoenix, her reputation as a fighter, dueller, and all around badass getting her an invite. She wants to stop Voldemort. The bastard cursed her favourite job, and besides that, she's not pure, he's looking right at her when he spouts his shitty beliefs at the world, and she takes it very personally. If she can have a hand in stopping the bastard, then she will. Just watch her. OOC Play By: Katy Perry Your Alias: Izzy Pronouns: Her/she. Age: Younger than Slither.
