 Whatever they say your soul's unbreakable The crazier the better? Right. Echo stepped up to the edge of the pool, shaking her hair out of her eyes, and took a deep breath. Ollie was watching her, waiting for the splash, no doubt. She tried to aim right for him as she jumped as high as she could, legs pinned together, arms flailing at her sides. It was supposed to look graceful. It might have if she'd have been moving like that underwater, arms gracefully waving about against the tide, feet flipping together. In the air, she looked more like a demented octopus, only her turned out feet, heels stuck together gave any hint that she was a mermaid at all. She flipped her legs as she hit the water, sinking below the surface, unaware of how big a splash she'd made. Dora was off her face on something. Her finger found his bottom lip and she started complimenting his mouth. Did other people have a favourite lip? Was it weird that he didn't? He'd have to ask Halley about it later. Maybe he'd stare at her lips for a bit and see which one he liked best. He didn't even get a chance to respond to the strange compliment before Dora wandered off towards the pool. Jasper was practically holding his breath as he tried not to make a noise. The tension was like a physical entity between the two and Jasper just wanted to pop to with a knife, or shove Dorian away quickly as though he didn’t exist, just something to relieve this awkward feeling, this elongated pause that was probably only a second but felt like an eternity to Jasper. The only thing that broke some of the tension was Lo’s attention snapped up by a burning burger or six. “Hey kid, I’ve gotcha back.” He said, picking up a pair of long tongs, “You can teach me how to handle this bad boy,” He said, patting the side of the barbecue with his bare hand and instantly regretting it as he yanked his hand with a slight gasp. Fire hot, Jasper. “Barbecue hot.” He told himself, “See, complete novice.”

Gabe listened with a small grin as Frey and Dorcas bantered back and forth, Frey was the most perfect woman in all the world and she’d agreed to be his wife. They really needed to set a date and get married because honestly, what was he even waiting for? “Let’s take a little tour.” He suggested cheekily in her ear. Gabe was sure Leo was a cool guy and wouldn’t mind one of his many spare rooms getting a use.

Dorcas look and saw Johnny had poured himself a whiskey and was adding ice to his drink. It seemed the was a man of simple tastes and oddly similar to Dolphus, not that he was at all relevant right now, she was having a fun afternoon out, she wasn’t going to be thinking about her husband, she was her ego have some fun. "Scotch guy, hey?" She asked like a tit, "Are you always that boring or just when you're at a party?" Not the kindest, and definitely not the way to get a guy in the sack, but she wasn't even sure if she wanted to hook up with Johnny, he kind of looked a bit too much like Dolphus, although he had softer features, brighter eyes and was on the whole cuter than her dickhead.

Liam didn’t seem all too well as he slipped his hand over his stomach, his kiss to her hand had been a little reassuring, but she worried about him, she didn’t want him to end up sick, and she didn’t want for them to leave the party, but if he wasn’t well then it wasn’t like she’d have much choice. “Okay, darl, shout if you need me.” She said, eyeing the prawns left on her plate and the looking back to Liam, “I’ll be here … or in the pool.” She said, calling after him, eyeing up the pool. It probably wouldn’t be a good idea to get in the pool if she might have a dicky tummy after some dodger prawns, although she felt fine as it was. Maybe it was something else he’d eaten earlier, or even yesterday, or perhaps he was coming down with something else, either way, Chlo wasn’t going to touch the prawns again.

Elle didn't have the best of luck, it seemed. She didn't mind talking to Geralina, not at all! In fact she was grateful of her colleagues presence, but just as she was trying to avoid looking at Liam, he got closer. Elle focused as hard as she could on geralina's face, trying not to break eye contact but the other witch glanced over towards the barbecue, leaving Elle's eyes to find another place to look and what did she find? Only the most incredible set of eyes passing her by. Her heart felt as though it had stopped for a moment and she looked back to Geralina, "Oh, um, a terrible blind date," She laughed, "a friend from school set me up with him, they work together. I fainted, he spilt juice all over me, ugh, just awful!" But it wasn't so bad now, it was a funny story and it cemented a great friendship. "Will you excuse me a moment? I'll be back in a bit." She smiled, leaving Geralina's company with every intent to return soon but she was just unable to get Liam out of her thoughts. It was awkward, but it shouldn't be, it wasn't as if there was anything wrong with being a friend of a married man, it wasn't as if they were having an affair, so why all the awkwardness? Oh right, because of the obvious attraction, yes, that. Well Elle thought, perhaps naively, that if they just had a chance to speak, however briefly right now, then they'd be able to clear the air and perhaps enjoy the party.

Damn! What a relief! She was a hottie with a sense of humour. Ant knew he liked her for a reason. Well okay, he didn’t know, but he was relieved that she wasn’t some stuck up prissy cow. Awesome, this one would really hurt when she got around to stamping on his heart, even if it wasn’t intended. Great. Awesome. Cool. “Tell that to Hogwarts-me, total lame-o.” Why? Why did he even do this to himself? “So what’d’ya fancy? A cocktail, rum and coke, beer?” Merlin be damned she was hanging off of him while they walked to the bar. A woman like Liv probably liked a spectacularly fancy drink, something he wouldn’t have a clue how to make, but he’d damn well give it a go if she’d give him instructions on what to do. He could throw around a cocktail shaker without smashing any valuable, right?

Sully summoned his sisters drink and Lunete looked towards the doors, scooting her chair back a bit. She’d seen a fair few accidents involving flying glass and she’d not even been working at The Three Broomsticks for a year yet. “I once saw a guy throw a glass at another blokes face because he was adamant the guy had picked up his order, just completely smashed the glass all over this guy, cuts and blood everywhere.” She said absentmindedly, “Still less bloody than a good quidditch match.” She chuckled. "Have you ever been in any off-pitch scuffles with an opposing player?" She asked curiously. She wonders how players got on once the game was over. Sometimes tensions looked as though they were running high, and in professional games she' supposed that could escalate if not dealt with. At least at Hogwarts they were pretty much all kids, although the Slytherin's could be right arseholes.

Halley stumbled as she walked past Roux, his scent caught her off guard and she could have swooned, like actually swooned. She caught her balance and carried on walking out the room, getting some fresh air. She took a deep breath as she walked towards the barbecue, not sure where she was really going but there were people there, she could mingle amongst them and cool down for a second before she threw herself into the pool. She had said to Roux that she was going to the pool, right? She could barely remember. The whole interaction with Roux had left her cheeks flushed pink and she was more than a little disorientated as she caught her upper thigh on the corner of a table, causing her to twist and trip. She should have definitely headed for the pool, she would definitely have been safer in the water rather than near a hot barbecue and the drinks, but she was too busy falling to notice the commotionthat was brewing poolside.
