Everything was going okay, right? Yeah. Everything seemed to be on track, Salem thought as she took a seat and began reading to the children. The stories were all magical and Salem had enchanted the books to entertain the kids. With every page turned, something new and exciting came out of the book and flew around above the heads of the children. A quick glance to Neve showed that her little story area was going well, too, and another glance to Neve's "friend" showed that he too was handling things rather well. All in all Salem just tried to focus on her little area so she could give the kids the best experience possible. She wanted to do this again in the summer, so she had to make sure this was as flawless as possible, although she would possibly have someone other than Neve help out next time, not that Neve didn't seem wonderful, but Salem could have done without the lateness and a bloke in a fairy dress.

 When the world's against me is when I really come alive Nobody was forthcoming with any juicy details, which was highly disappointing. Jules would quiz Vienna about it later. For now, he glanced over towards the craft area where Ariel was, hugging some random man that was talking to Meadowes. A stab of annoyance jarred his chest and he was even more determined to steal Ariel away from Dorcas today. Letting the child hug strange men. Really. She was so irresponsible and irritating, Jules clenched his jaw. "I'll be over in a second," he told Dorian, but was drowned out by Tristan running over to hug Dorian excitedly. "Uncle Dor! Can I come, too?"  Things were all good yesterday, then the devil took your breath away Soph didn't have to wait long, she soon heard Love's voice calling her name across the crowded shop. Following the little waving arm that stuck up in the air, Sophie weaved her way through shelves and kids and adults, Susie cradled close in her arms, until she reached Love's side. She'd found a perfect little space where Susie would be able to crawl around a bit. "Oh, this is brill," Soph said with a grin, dumping her bag in the corner and crouching down to put Susie on the floor. "Shhh," she hushed her sister, but Kiki was chuckling, too. Her cheeks were aching from the effort of trying to fight it, so she turned her back on the craft table and put a hand over her mouth. Jasper was never going to live this down. Kiki wouldn't be surprised if these pictures ended up on display at St. Mungo's. It would certainly brighten up the staff room, that was for sure.  Stay out, and we'll live forever now Leo hoisted Blaise up on his hip so that they could take a selfie or ten with Jasper, and Blaise did his best cheesy grin, which just made it even better. Other kids started asking for pictures, too, and Leo obliged. He was also perfectly happy to provide copies to all who asked. This was the funniest day of his life, and though Jasper might hate him right now, Leo would make it up to him. He'd see the funny side eventually. After exhausting his camera, he glanced back towards the seating area to look for Dora, but she had disappeared. A quick scan of the patio told him she wasn't there, but he did spot Pansy's pram with another witch. Strange. "Come on, Blaise, let's go and listen to Nevey tell a story."  Beautiful dreamer, wake unto me starlight and dewdrops are awaiting thee Neve was in her element reading a fairy story to the children. She even added a little song and dance, which they seemed to love, some of them joining in with her. Her smile was wide and bright as she twirled in her fairy dress, loving every second of the experience. She stole a few glances at Salem and Jasper to see how they were getting along, but they didn't seem to be as entertaining as she was. Salem was reading quite calmly, and her kids looked interested enough, and Jasper was busy taking pictures with people. It was nice how confident he was, even in a dress. Or was that something she should worry about? Dorian was rushed by a little pixie with a curly blond mop, and Dorian knelt down to the boy’s level to speak with him face to face. Dorian disliked how some people spoke to children from a towering position, forcing the child to crane their neck upward only to often be scolded when they look away. Dorian’s own parents had never treated him like that, they were always very aware of speaking to him properly and without holding their stature over him when he was little. He tried to emulate that now that he was a parent as well. Tristan took his hand and Dorian beamed at the boy. “Hey there, champ. Let’s ask your dad if you can come with me until he’s done talking with his friend. Alright?” Dorian made sure to never speak for Julian by giving permission to Tristan for anything that wasn’t already agreed upon. There was still sometimes an uneasy air between the brothers that made Dorian uncomfortable, and he would not add to it by assuming more of a role in his nephew’s life than what Julian wanted.

Their brood? Oh damn, it was a brood, wasn’t it. Three kids seemed like too many, far too many, especially when she wanted none and had compromised by 1. Being a step-mother and 2. Agreeing to let him use her eggs to make one, ONE more child, instead there were now two baking away in some woman’s oven and Dorcas just had to bloody deal with that. “Live in therapist?” She laughed, “As if.” She snorted, “My kids are going to be fine because I don’t treat them like toys.” She’d kick Bastan’s arse at this parenting gig. She was already making Aurora less of a brat, although it was probably hard to tell unless you spent a lot of time around her. “Oh yes, must upset the ice queen, she might crack.” She laughed, Bastan was such a little bitch, was he always so scared of his wife? Probably, she figured.
Rabastan asked about Roddy but Aurora stepped in to answer that one. Dorcas hadn’t been aware that Aurora had asked him to dress up and go with them as Dorcas had been planning on it just being a girls day, but she supposed she shouldn’t have been surprised, Aurora was a total daddy’s girl. “Come on, girls, let’s go watch the fairy over there.” She said, pointing to Neve. “I think she’s twirling and singing.” She said. Aurora and Ariel looked excited and Dorcas followed them over to where the fairy was singing and making a big show out of it. Aurora and Ariel both lifted up their arms and started trying to copy the fairy. Aurora’s form was pretty good, Dorcas thought, but Ariel, try as she might, couldn’t quite grasp it and so quickly gave up and started doing her own little wiggle.

Love felt that Soph worried too much. She kind of understood why, but honestly, Soph was such an amazing big sister that she really didn't have to worry about whether or not Suse was having a good time, she'd know if she wasn't, "So happy!" She encouraged. Love was pretty sure that babies couldn't remember things from this early on in life, but it didn't matter about Susie and whether or not she was having a good time because it was Soph that would be the one to remember this experience and how she handled it, and Love wanted her friend to have every confidence in herself.

Nala tried to hold in her laughter but she still wanted to blast it out loudly for the whole world to hear. This guy looked hilarious, but credit to him, he was posing for pictures, and he was even forcing a few smiles, too. It definitely put Nala in a better mood, she loved spending time with Sully's kids, they were the light of her life, but she was in some real need of venting to Kiki about Abby. Later, she kept telling herself, they'd have time later and they could drink and Nala could let Kiki in on everything that was going on but in the meantime she had to get her head into the game of babysitting, and this Jasper bloke had just made that a whole lot easier.

Tristan was with Jules every single day, it was fine if he wanted to see his uncle for a few minutes, there was nothing to be jealous of. Besides, the two knew each other well enough, Jules dropped Tristan off with Dorian and Ariel for a lot of full moons these days. The rest of the time he went to Vienna's for a sleepover, though he couldn't do that too often in case she suspected a pattern to Tristan's visits. Jules really didn't have anyone else who would help him that way. Vienna's every few months when she thought Jules was out on a date or something, and Dorian's the rest of the time with no secrets, that was the arrangement he had managed to work out, and it worked, but it did create that pesky bond between his child and other people. Jules merely nodded his head. "Go ahead," he said to the pair, who stood hand in hand. Tristan grinned a pearly white grin and tugged on Dorian's hand. "He said yes, Uncle Dor!" This really wasn't a place for young babies, Nathaniel was getting nothing out of this other than being lulled to sleep by the noise, and then at the same time, woken abruptly by the noise. Rabby headed back to Lilith and took a seat next to his wife. "I think someone's missing you," he said, handing the baby over and shaking his arms out a bit. He glanced across at Clem, who was now in possession of a small female child, carrying her off across the shop. Rabby frowned. "Where's she been hiding that one?" he asked Lilith, incredulous. The disposal of her child had been something he had been wondering on. If she'd tried to bring the baby along he might have had to get rid of Dora completely. He couldn't be having idiots like that in his life. Thankfully she showed a small amount of common sense, though ditching her child on a random witch could barely pass for common sense. Still, she was eager, bordering on desperate, which was something that played on Tam's mind. Desperate was a turn off. Dorian waited in a squat position with Tristan until Julian gave his blessing and Tristan exclaimed "He said yes, Uncle Dor!" Dorian smiled. “Brilliant!” Rising to his full height, Dorian politely looked toward Vienna. “It was lovely meeting you again.” Tristan, thankfully, was tugging on Dorian’s arm and he went with his nephew willingly, secretly happy to have gotten the niceties over and done with. He would much rather have spent the day watching Ariel chase paper fairies and even listening to Dorcas’ step-daughter Aurora explain why the fairies her father bought her were better than the ones on offer in the bookshop, but it would have been rude to not say a proper hello.
As they approached the singing fairy, Tristan let go of Dorian’s hand and ran off to dance with Ariel and Aurora, along with several other children. “There’s quite a few people here,” Dorian said as he walk up to stand beside Dorcas, watching the children dance. She could probably hear the disdain in his voice at having one of his happy places, a bookshop, so crowded with people. “Watch me, uncle Dor!” Tristan shouted excitedly to Dorian, who gave the boy his fully attention. “I’m watching.” Tristan flailed around like an adorable munchkin.
