It was blasphemy. Absolute blasphemy. He had seen it coming a mile off, but it still stung to see such barbaric laws put in place. The magical world was changing, and with those changes, the Muggle world would never be the same again. Albus had dispatched a few of his most trusted Order members already, sent them off to assist the families of muggleborns in any way they could. It sickened him that such a thing was necessary, but here they were. Gone was the twinkle from Albus' eye as he waited for the others to arrive, and in its place was a spark of steel that hadn't been seen there for a long while. Voldemort had infiltrated the Ministry, but not only that, he had reached the top. The very top. Wilbur Dolohov was clearly under Voldemort's thumb to pass such vile laws and so quickly, and now it was time for the Order to step up. They could not sit back and watch the world fall apart around them, not while Albus was around.
He waved a dismissive hand at a house elf who approached. "Not now, Alfrie," he said sharply. "Watch the door. Greet our guests." Alfrie knew not to push his luck, and respectfully bowed out of the small side room that Albus paced in. The fireplace was empty, the building hot enough in the June heat, and he adjusted the collar of his plum coloured robes to let some air in. He was sweating just a bit, whether from the weather or sheer frustration at what was happening, he didn't know. A glass of whisky stood on the table across the room, so far untouched, but Albus picked it up as he left the room, heading down a narrow hallway and into a larger room which was usually adored with tables full of food and drink. Not this time. The room was bare save for a few chairs lining the walls, and an empty table in one corner. He was in no mind to prepare such a merry get together as he usually did. Today was about making sure the entire Order was aware of how dire things had gotten, and to ensure that they were all prepared to face these new challenges head on. He already had a snake in Voldemort's lair, but it wasn't enough. It was time for action.

Sunday lunch was all over. The pots and pans, dishes and plates were all cleaned and put away, ready for another Sunday lunch. It was amazing how their family had grown. They'd gone from having a daughter and niece with no desires between them for children at any stages in their lives, to having two almost grandchildren, an almost son, and almost son in law and a daughter that had found happiness and was an almost mum herself! Still André was always reminded as he looked at Dorian or Ariel, that they were there through tragedy. André just hoped that what he and Em offered was at least of some help to them. To all of them. Julian and Tristan included. It was such a strange way to come by a family but André was there to support anyone that needed it, blood or not.
Sitting on the sofa with his arm around Em as they read their books in silence, he was surprised to find a note appear in front of him. He'd been doing things on and off for the Order for the past month, both he and Em had been. They'd moved back in January and had turned the upstairs of their garage into a temporary safe house for muggleborns that were escaping the new barbaric laws the ministry had put into place. It was a cramped space but it was only ever needed for a day or two and their house was under the protection of the complicated fidelius charm with Em as the secret keeper. With him remaining in the Order, it made more sense for Em to be secret keeper. He was at risk of worrisome things happening, whereas Em was just that little more safer. Well a lot more safer actually.
André took the letter and read it over, Em shifting off of him, knowing he'd be leaving soon. "A meeting." He said, lowering the letter and giving her a peck on the forehead. "About time. Don't wait up, mi amor." André stood and headed for the front door, grabbing his cloak and leaving the home. He disapparated and arrived at the Headquarters. He held up his letter and it turned to ash, granting him entry. Alfrie was waiting patiently to take André's cloak. André handed it to him with a smile, thanking the elf before moving forward to where they always met. Upon entering the room he couldn't help but notice how empty it looked, and not just because no one was there yet, other than Albus. "Good evening Albus." André looked about the room. "A little unprepared this evening I see. Not a problem! Leave it to me, old friend." He smiled heartily to the older wizard and pulled out his wand. A few swishes her and there, a little flurry over there, a whizz, a whirl and the room was ready. "There." He said, sliding his wand away. The room looked better now, ready for a meeting. André had thought of setting the place up for dinner and having Alfrie whip up something delicious for everyone, but André had a feeling dinner party was not the sort of mood that Albus was going for this evening so he took a seat near the front where Albus' two private doors were and he struck up what would be a rather dark and quiet conversation with the man running the evening.

Sitting at home alone, Dormiens was relaxing after a rather hectic few weeks for the Order. It seemed that there was barely any time to rest at the moment. The ministry was on everyone's tails, chasing up muggleborns in order to register them and mark them with those hideous bands. Well D was having none of it and she was pleased to see that Albus felt similarly. Together they helped muggles and muggleborns move from place to place, keeping the ministry off their tails before settling them down in more permanent accommodation, but it was hard. There were quite a few families in need of their help and it wasn't slowing down. D just buckled down and did what Dumbledore asked. She had a blind faith in him because if she didn't, then too much would be questionable. They had their times of discussion but sometimes things had to be acted upon immediatley, which was why D was taking the time to enjoy a drink and a book because there was no telling when she'd be called away again.
Almost as soon as she thought it, the letter appeared. She read it and set her glass and book down on the table. She slipped into her shoes and cloak that were waiting for her by the front door and she left her home. She locked the house up and disapparated to the Order's secret headquarters, presenting her invite and having it turn to ash in her hands. The door opened and a house elf was waiting. It took her cloak from her as she heard another pop from outside the door, signalling the arrival of someone else, and D headed to their meeting room. Once there she let herself in, a table set out before them and the room looking brighter than it usually did. She nodded to Albus and André and made her way to the left of the table, taking a seat at the front right next to the little podium set up for Albus to speak. It was all rather formal looking but D supposed it would be different today, there was no need for food and drink right now for this was not a relaxed meeting nor was it a place to socialise or celebrate, tonight, D presumed, would be about the changes in the magical world of Great Britain and how the Order could tackle what was going on, or something to that effect.

It was happening! They'd finally made plans that they were going to follow through on! It had been forever since she and Darcy had actually made plans and then actually followed through on them. Usually they laid around, getting ready to go out without really having any plans, or sometimes they'd make plans but then one of them would have to cancel, tonight however they were actually having a proper girls night out and Sera was at home, getting ready, adding the finishing charms to her hair to keep it in place for the night. Once she was all dolled up she slipped her cloak on over her shoulders and gave her daddy a kiss goodbye, promising to stay safe. The world was ninety-nine shades of insanity at the moment and it was only getting worse with the new laws in place and bad people exercising their new so called "freedom". Sera didn't like it, not one little bit, but she wasn't going to let it stop her from having a great night out with her very best friend!
Meeting Darce at their rendezvous point Sera gave her best friend a squeeze. "Let's get some drinks!" She said, raising her arms and cheering to their night out, when a letter appeared before her and then Darcy. She dropped her arms and along with them her smile and her hopes. She took the letter and read over it, knowing exactly what it was going to be. She sighed, looked at Darcy and shrugged her shoulders, "Or we'll get some drinks another time." She said, slipping her hand into Darcy's and the pair disapparated to the doorstep of the hide out. With letters raised the door let them in and the letters disappeared, turning to ash in their hands. Sera dusted her hands off and walked in with Darcy, taking her cloak off and passing it to Alfrie. She made her way to what she always thought was a dining room, and noticed a few people there already. She took a seat at the table and pulled Darcy into the chair next to her. She had enough room on her right for Ollie and Kit to join them, if they were coming, and between Darcy and Dormiens was a spare seat, leaving Sera feeling a little rude for leaving a gap but it was too late to switch around now, besides, someone else might sit there. Let the eye of vigilance never be closed
Alastor gently shut the door to Alice’s bedroom, having backed out silently on his tiptoes as the toddler slept peacefully. Ever since she turned three, Alice was a much better sleeper. He and Clarice now had the bed to themselves for almost a full week at a time, although without fail at least once a week they’d be woken in the middle of the night by crying and neither mummy nor daddy had the energy nor the heart to send her back to her own bed once she’d calmed down. At least she consistently went to bed without a fuss. A quick story or three, a lullaby Alastor always managed to butcher, and a dozen or so kisses, and soon Alice was sleeping soundly surrounded by a mountain of teddies. “Think we’ll make it a full week, this time?” he asked Clarice of their sleeping successes thus far as he stepped out into the living room. They were going on day seven of undisturbed sleep. He was probably jinxing himself just by mentioning it aloud, and Clarice hushed him and threw a couch cushion at him with a broad grin on her face. Alastor returned her teasing smile, but the look faded quickly as a letter appeared on the coffee table behind Clarice.
“What is it?” Alastor’s dark eyes scanned the words, which gave little clue as to the purpose of their meeting but anyone unaware of the recent advances the Dark Lord was making in the Ministry was either dumber than dragon dung or purposely shoving their head in the sand. “Albus needs to see me,” he answered, folding the letter and stuffing it into his trouser pocket. “Enchant the locks and don’t answer the door. I’ll probably be late, don’t wait up.” He kissed Clarice on the lips, his large hands tilting her face up to meet his, then rose and headed for the door.
Upon arriving, Alastor scanned his surroundings to ensure he was alone, then held up the invitation he’d received only a short time ago. The parchment turned to ash and the enchantments lifted, allowing Alastor inside. The room wasn’t even half full but there was a sour note in the air. Moody felt it, himself. “Albus,” he said, nodding to the elder wizard. “Andre.” He turned and headed to the left side of the circular table. “Ladies.” He nodded at the youngsters who were dressed up for going out, not fighting evil bastards, then pulled out the chair closest to Dormiens. “The Abersteens settling in well, D?” The Abersteens were friends of the Moodys, good friends, and muggleborns. They had three young children and were understandably scared about the Ministry’s new anti-muggleborn agenda. Alastor had asked for Dormiens to help them out in the same way she was helping the muggleborns Albus sent her way.

Post by James Henry Potter on May 28, 2019 10:59:33 GMT
Tonight we can truly say together we're invincible James was actually relieved that a meeting had finally been called. He had been fuming for weeks now. How dare the corrupt as all Hell Minister make new laws that branded muggleborns as outcasts, as the enemy? How fucking dare he!? And making them wear fluorescent wristbands with glow in the dark M's on them? What kind of psychotic power trip was the man on? It wasn't hard to figure out that Dolohov was aligned with You Know Who after that. Any idiot could put two and two together and figure that out, and anyone who bought the shit excuse that it was all to protect magic kind and free them from blah, blah, blah was just a no good, shit for brains coward. Oh, James was mad. He couldn't stop thinking about it. Literally, could not stop thinking about it. It was eating him up inside, and the sooner he got to do something about it, the better. Dumbledore had him working on helping to get muggleborn families to safety, but James hadn't wanted to leave Lily too much now that she was in the later stages of her pregnancy, but it was killing him to hold back. He needed to do something. Relief washed over him when the invitation to the meeting fluttered past his face, then two more appeared for Lily and Sirius, who were sitting in the dining room with him eating fish and chips. James had had his fill of food already, and practically knocked his chair over trying to stand up, eager to go. Lily was staying at home. She wasn't in any state to be stressing herself out with Order meetings, she needed to relax and stay hidden, especially if she wanted to avoid being stuck with one of those bloody armbands. Over James' dead body would she end up wearing one of those while she birthed his child. He felt sick at the thought. And their marriage was apparently null and void now? No fucking way! No. Fucking. Way. He stomped his feet into his boots, and waited for Sirius, then the lads apparated to the Order headquarters. Invitations turning to ash at the door, they entered the building, and James led the way, finding their usual meeting room done up formally today, rather than the usual more relaxed style they were used to. Good. It should be formal. Everyone should be just as angry as James was, and he barged right to the front of the room, taking the closest seat he could get to Dumbledore, which was beside Andre Meadowes, an older man who was actually alright, though James was in no mood for chit chat. "Who are we killing?" he asked loudly, Sirius close at his other side, as he should be. _______________________ tag: Sirius Lee Black , Albus P.W.B Dumbledore, André Daniel Meadowes , and everyone! words: 500 notes: <3 outfit: Moody bum. template by izzy[googlefont="Covered By Your Grace"][googlefont="Cinzel Decorative"]

But the tigers come at night with their voices soft as thunder Kit opened his bedroom door, a letter from Albus Dumbledore gripped in his hand, at the same time that Ollie opened his own door facing. The two men locked eyes for a few seconds, both having identical letters, before stepping out into the hall. Kit took the lead down the stairs. It was obvious what the meeting would be about. Major change was happening in the wizarding world, and though it hadn't yet touched Kit's family, he knew it would eventually. They were half vampires, half breeds as far as people like Wilbur Dolohov were concerned, and if he wanted to brand muggleborns, it was only a matter of time before he extended that to half bloods and the likes of vampires and werewolves who were mixed in with the magical community. Kit feared for his family more than ever, and wasn't sure what he could do about it, save assassinate the Minister and go on the run, but that wasn't practical at all, and Kit had practical running through his veins. The brothers locked up their home and apparated to the headquarters of the Order of the Phoenix. Kit was tense. He'd been tense for weeks now, especially since he worked at the Ministry, there was no avoiding Dolohov and his people, and the Auror department was spread thin trying to do damage control with people being allowed to practice magic freely now. It wasn't fun trying to keep on top of everything when you knew you were being watched closely by a sick bastard who wanted a pure world, preferably without you in it. His letter crumbled through his fingers as he held it up to the door, and once Ollie's had done the same, the door swung open. Kit had no jacket to give to Alfrie, the house elf, so he headed straight into the meeting room, surprised by the setup of a fancy table and chairs. His golden gaze fell on Sera sitting with Darcy, both looking like they should be in a club rather than a meeting. "What the hell is she wearing?" he muttered to Ollie, noting the amount of skin he could see on his sister. Kit took a seat, leaving the one beside Sera for Ollie to take. "Hey," he greeted calmly. _______________________ tag: Oliver Osiris Devereaux , Seraphina Alala Devereaux , Darcy Eleanor Davies , Albus P.W.B Dumbledore and everyone! words: 426 notes: <3 outfit: Sexy scruffy. template by izzy [googlefont="Rock Salt"][googlefont="Cinzel Decorative"]

Post by Zachary Oscar Zeller on May 28, 2019 12:34:46 GMT
And the last known survivor stalks his prey in the night Zach's spell missed its target, and he swore, pulling his gun out as a last resort and aiming through the trees at the Chimaera that was charging towards him, jaws salivating at the sight of a fresh meal. Its hooves beat against the packed dirt on the forest floor. It would be upon him in seconds, but Zach held his ground, gun aimed squarely at the creature, hand steady. Snarls and roars escaped its throat as it pounced up into the air at the last minute, and Zach spun, turning to the side quickly so that the beast sailed past him, his gun firing into its flank as it crashed into the ground. He followed it up with a quick stunning spell, knocking the creature out before approaching it carefully. It was unconscious at the base of a tree, so he bent to check the bullet wound. It didn't look too bad, but he extracted the bullet with his wand anyway, healing the wound easily enough. Something fluttering from the branches above him made his head snap up in time to see a small letter floating down towards him. Zach snatched it out of the air, scanning the words on it. "Son of a bitch," he muttered. Tucking his gun away in the waist of his jeans, Zach pulled a small metal pole from his pocket, throwing it on the floor beside the Chimaera, where it began to snap, several more poles jutting out from the first, twisting this way and that until it formed a large cage of solid steel, magically re-enforced and shimmering softly in the dim light of the forest. He made short work of getting the beast into the cage and shrunk the whole thing, beast and all, down to pocket size, shoving it into his jeans and apparating home. He popped into the large shed in his back garden, crossing to the enormous trunk that lined one wall. He lifted the lid to reveal a staircase wide enough for a single person to fit through, leading down into the depths of the trunk. Descending the stairs, he entered a large chamber at the bottom, multiple iron doors ringing it. Zach took the tiny cage from his pocket and opened one of the doors. It squealed on its hinges as he pulled it wide, and slid the cage across the stone, the cage and it's occupant growing back to their full size as it slid, finally coming to a stop against the back wall. "Stay," Zach muttered, slamming the door shut on the sleeping beast. He would have to deal with it later. Taking it into the Ministry was the least of his worries now that he had an Order meeting to get to. They could wait, and go and fuck themselves if they had a problem with it. Zach climbed the narrow stairs and locked the trunk behind him, popping out of the shed and appearing outside the headquarters of the Order. The process was familiar enough by now. Hold up your invite, wait until it turns to dust in your hands, the door clicks open, a house elf is there to pester you and brush said dust off of your pants for you. It was second nature to him by now, but he did push Alfrie away after all of two seconds, preferring to stay dusty than have a house elf smacking his nuts. His yellow armband flashed on his wrist as he walked down the short hall to the door that led to the main meeting room. He glanced down at it, giving it a twist on his arm. It wasn't tight, but it was a whole different kind of uncomfortable, and he had lost count of how many times he had tugged and tugged at it to try and make it come loose enough to slip off. It was no use, the thing was stuck on with magic, there was no undoing it. Zach entered the meeting room and found himself a seat, making sure there was nobody next to him on either side. He wasn't in the mood. _______________________ tag: Albus P.W.B Dumbledore and everyone! words: 725 notes: <3 outfit: Hot and angry. template by izzy[googlefont="Nanum Brush Script"][googlefont="Cinzel Decorative"]

Post by Remus John Lupin on Jul 8, 2019 10:50:23 GMT
They have stolen the heart from inside you but this does not define you Remus left his tiny apartment and took his time locking the front door behind him. He walked slowly down the street, in no hurry to get anywhere fast, and took his time crossing the road. His hands were stuffed into the pockets of his jeans, his wand tucked in there, digging into his leg with every step. It was a comforting sensation, familiar, a daily thing that would make him feel strange if it stopped. Having his wand seemed more important now than ever. He felt like with the way things were going in the magical world, it was only a matter of time before he and every other half blood or muggleborn or werewolf had their wands confiscated and were banned from performing magic at all. He could see it coming, and as miserable a prediction as it was, it wasn't at all far fetched since Dolohov had become Minister. The world as he had always known it was hard enough, and now it was about to get even worse. Remus welcomed the hard digging of his wand into his thigh as he trudged along the street. He made a turn into an alley and stepped behind a large industrial bin, apparating to the Order of the Phoenix headquarters with all the calmness of someone heading to the kitchen to make a cuppa. Why rush? There was no point getting in a panic and getting worked up about what was going on. It was happening, and Dumbledore would no doubt have some ideas on how to combat it. Getting angry wouldn't help anyone. He held up his invitation at the door and stepped back as it crumbled to ash at his feet. The door swung open, and Remus gave a polite nod to the house elf that greeted him. He headed for the meeting room they usually used, and paused in the doorway to take in the scene. It was set out like some sort of conference room, and he frowned, grey-blue eyes scanning the people already in attendance before eventually landing on James and Sirius. James looked furious. Remus' heart sank. He didn't need the drama. Crossing the room, he sank quietly into the empty chair beside Sirius, and said nothing. _______________________ tag: Albus P.W.B Dumbledore and everyone! words: 416 notes: <3 outfit: Plain white t-shirt, light jeans, trainers. template by izzy[googlefont="Tangerine"][googlefont="Cinzel Decorative"]

I'm falling for your eyes but they don't know me yet "Oh, shoot!" Sharla's invitation popped in front of her face in a flash of flame just as she lowered herself into the bath. Her bubbles sparkled luxuriously around her, and the heat of the water soothed her aches and pains from a particularly difficult week, but her hand was fast as it snatched the letter out of the air before it could hit the water and be ruined. "Dumbledore, you gotta pick your timing better," she groaned, eyes scanning the letter quickly. Order meetings were necessary, and more so in current times, but she wanted her bath. Her skin shimmered already, the glitter from the bubbles sticking to her everywhere it touched, and she admired it for a few minutes before sighing and pulling herself out of the tub. "I will see you later," she told her bubbles, promising herself that she would have a bath tonight, no matter what went down at the Order meeting. Unless she was given an immediate mission, then she'd have to try again tomorrow, because sparkly bubbles or not, duty came before down time. She dressed quickly, pulling on a simple dress and wedge shoes, brushing her purple hair over her shoulder and staring at it for way too long. She shook her head and her hair changed to a vibrant pink. Sharla studied herself again. She pulled a face. One more shake and it was back to purple. Satisfied, she snatched her letter up and headed for the Order headquarters, a black purse hanging on her arm with everything she would need for her trip inside it. Her letter turned to dust at the door and she entered, giving a bright smile to Alfrie the house elf as he offered to take her bag. "No thanks, Alf, I need it with me tonight," she said cheerfully as she barged into the meeting room. "Ooh, very posh," she said, admiring the chairs as she circled the round table in the middle of the room. It was a different approach, but she didn't dislike it. She sat in an empty chair next to one of the younger lads, Remus, she thought his name was. He was blonde and cute and very quiet. Sharla placed her purse on the table in front of her and opened it up. Inside was her wand, and a bottle of scotch. All she needed. She pulled the bottle out and conjured a glass for herself, pouring a generous amount before looking around the table to those already gathered. "Anyone for a drink?" she asked loudly, wand poised to conjure more glasses. _______________________ tag: Albus P.W.B Dumbledore and everyone! words: 469 notes: <3 outfit: Tame template by izzy[googlefont="Dawning of a New Day"][googlefont="Cinzel Decorative"]

A little fall of rain can hardly hurt me now His hands snaked around her waist, fingers pressing into the bottom of her back, and she leaned into him, her lips pressing hungrily to his neck, his jaw. "What if somebody walks in?" she whispered, hands sinking into his hair. His response was to lift her up and slam her against the door, blocking anyone from being able to enter. She grinned wickedly, and then his lips found hers, hungry, eager. Her fingers lifted the edge of his shirt and -
POP!Geralina slammed her book closed with a squeal of surprise as a letter floated down onto the bed beside her. Her heart was hammering in her chest, part from the scene she had been reading, and part from the shock of a flaming letter appearing above her head. She glanced at the letter as though it might bite her, clinging onto her book as she tried to steady her breathing. "Meow." "That was not funny, Rigel," she said, giving the huge cat a wide eyed glare as he stretched at the foot of the bed and pawed at the letter, purring. Putting her book down on her pillow, she picked up the letter and read it quickly. She knew it was an Order meeting, but a part of her still always had a brief panic about the other awful possibilities of who was sending her a letter. Death Eaters? The Ministry wanting to interrogate her over something? Her stranger of a father trying to finally contact her? Hogwarts firing her? A friend asking her to go out for tea? The possibilities were endless, though none of those letters would come with the signature flames that Dumbledore's Order invitations came with. She was wearing pyjamas, but she changed easily enough, tugging on a pair of jeans and a tank top, and stuffing her feet into a pair of trainers. She ran her fingers through her hair and gave each of her pets a quick kiss and cuddle before she left, making sure they knew she loved them and that she would be back soon. Her letter crumbled in her fingers, and she found herself chatting to Alfrie in the hallway of the Order headquarters. No, she didn't want a drink, thank you. And she was so sorry, but she hadn't brought a coat today. She also knew where the meeting room was, but she allowed the house elf to show her in anyway, hoping he was happy at getting to do a good job. She was expecting to be the last one there, since being late was kind of her thing, but there were quite a few people missing as she made a beeline for Kit and claimed the seat next to him. "Wow, I'm actually on time," she muttered to him in greeting, getting one of his gorgeous smiles in return. _______________________ tag: Albus P.W.B Dumbledore and everyone! words: 510 notes: <3 outfit: I was ready for bed. template by izzy [googlefont="Lovers Quarrel"][googlefont="Cinzel Decorative"]

Doc was done with his chores for the night. It was strange being back home with his dad after so many years away from the family home but it was something that Doc had to do. After Tristan's death Doc had taken it upon himself to move back home with his dad and sister, to keep them going, but it was also to keep himself going. While he had them to look out for he didn't have to worry about himself so much. He'd done a good job of being there for them and lifting his sister's spirits up because he was able to help her realises she needed to move away from home, to find her own to feet out in the magical world. Did he worry for her? Of course, but Lunete was more than capable of taking care of herself, however after she'd moved out, Doc had realised the home was rather lonely, even with his father there, however it was a large home, plenty of space for the two of them, however they usually ended up in the same spaces, keeping one another company.
Usually after Doc had finished tidying up after the animals he kicked back and relaxed with his dad. Being magical had its perks. He was able to get the dishes washed with just a few flicks of a wand. That was pretty wonderful for him and his dad, however tonight he received a letter. He spoke with his dad, letting him know he wouldn't be able to hang out tonight, and then headed right upstairs for a shower. He'd been mucking out his horse's stable and it had not been a pretty job, even with the aid of magic. Doc scrubbed himself and then hopped out, getting dressed in record time. He fair-welled his dad and then put up every magical ward he knew on the house, keeping his father safe. After having lost Tristan there after a Death Eater break in, Doc wasn't taking any risks. He'd begged his dad to move, sell the house, but it had been no good. Completely pointless. It was their family home, it was named after Doc's mum and the place she'd loved, there was never going to be any selling of the family home.
Arriving at the Order meeting, Doc entered the room and saw it was looking pretty full, not because of the people occupying the room but more the furniture that wasn't usually there. Dumbledore wasn't usually that organised with Order meetings but Doc moved himself around to the next spare seat, next to someone he'd not met before. Unlike the majority of people in the room Doc was plagued with a ridiculous and horrid garment that he had to wear on his upper arm. Because he was from a muggle family and was what was known as a 'Muggleborn' wizard, he was forced by the Ministries new protocol, to register his name and address at the Ministry, and he was forced to wear an arm band the showed the world what he was. Doc sincerely hoped that was what tonight's meeting was for. Something had to be done. He would have refused to have gotten the damn thing, or to have registered, but Lunete worked in the Ministry and there was no way he was going to put any extra pressure on her. The Ministry was crawling with anti-muggleborn wankers and the less fuss he caused, the less shit she'd have to deal with, hopefully.

There was flirting and then there was flirting. Zelda was enjoying a night out with a friend from work, something she didn't do all too often, when it was interrupted while she was on the loo. A letter arrived in front of her, right as she plonked her arse down on the toilet seat. She groaned and rolled her eyes and then remembered she wasn't the only one in the toilets so she sat up a little straighter, as if people could somehow see her, and then grabbed the letter. She read it and stuffed it into her bag before finishing up. She left the stall and made her way to the bar where her friend was waiting with a couple of cute guys, one of which Zelda had been having a lovely time with. Zelda explained she had to go, much to the protest of her friend, and promised she'd try and make it back. She offered to see her friend home first but apparently that was too much of a buzzkill so Zelda just apologised again, especially to Mr Hotty, and left the bar.
She arrived at the Order Hideout and her rummaged for her letter in her bag. After she found it she held it to the door and it fell away from her hand, turning to ash. Zelda just walked in, stuffing the strap of her bag in her mouth while she tried to get her tan leather jacket on. Magically the neon fricking armband the ministry was forcing her to wear appeared over her jacket. There was no hiding the thing or removing it. Zelda just carried on, letting herself into the meeting sitting her arse next to her brother, her sour expression matching that of her brother's as she looked on at Dumbledore, ready to get on with this meeting and the downfall of the dickhead Minister of Magic.

“Let’s get this going,” She said as she made her way into the room from the main entrance, the sight was unusual but it didn’t take her by surprise, it was an Order meeting which meant to expect the unexpected with Albus. She didn’t bother looking at who was in the room, all she saw was Dumbledore up ahead, her dad to his right and to Albus’s left was Dormiens. “I told Rodolphus I’ve got diarrhoea so I’ve only got a few minutes before he attempts criticising my meal choices again through a toilet door and another minute or so before he realises I’m not telling him to fuck off.” She said as she took a seat between Geralina and Zelda. It was a weird relationship she had with Rodolphus, Dorcas was willing to admit that, but having to act like she was in a relationship with him meant limited time for Order meetings when he was home. Last time Albus had requested her presence she was having a girly day with Aurora, which basically meant shopping mostly for snacks to have while they watched a muggle movie at her cottage but before they could get the movie started she had her summons so she dropped Aurora off with her mum and claimed she had some work business. She’d made a stop via the ministry so she’d be seen there before she made her way to meet Albus. They had rather conflicting schedules these days but they both knew updates had to be done and they both had to sacrifice time. At least it was never too long. Dorcas had gotten back to the ministry, dumped a completed file she’d had hidden away for such an occasion on her superiors desk and then made her way back to Aurora who was stuffing herself with cookie dough she’d made with Dorcas’ dad. Naturally Dorcas had joined in and the four of them had watched a muggle movie together with a few homemade cookies and a bunch of snacks that they’d brought earlier that day.

Orders members began to arrive in a timely fashion, and Albus waited patiently. He chatted with Andre Meadowes for a while, nodding in greeting to each person who entered. James Potter arrived like a raging bull, and Albus neglected to answer his question. Killing was not on the agenda unless their hand was forced, and even then it didn't sit well with him. Voldemort and his followers belonged in Azkaban, not the afterlife. If it would hold them, of course. There was always the chance that the wizarding prison was corrupt, too. Now that the Ministry had been taken, it was only fair to assume that it was. If that was the case, then James may just get his wish of killing people after all.
Dorcas Meadowes was the last to arrive, his wolf in sheep's clothing, announcing that they needed to get a move on before it was discovered that she was gone. Albus had to agree that her being discovered was the last thing they needed right now, and so he cleared his throat and addressed the room. "Far be it for me to cause Miss Meadowes to have an accident on one of our fine chairs. I will keep this brief." Diarrhoea indeed. He gave Dorcas a look of disapproval for her announcement, but it lasted only a second before his expression was sombre again. His gaze fell upon the few in their midst wearing yellow bands on their arms. Those marked as having come from muggle families. Not a one of them looked happy to be wearing such a brand, and Albus couldn't blame them.
"As I'm sure most of you will know by now, there have been new laws passed in the Ministry. The appointment of Wilbur Dolohov as Minister of Magic has brought with it some rather shocking developments. It is my presumption that Dolohov is under the guidance of He Who Must Not Be Named, and therefore entirely corrupt. Muggleborns wearing armbands like cattle, muggles being attacked left, right, and centre. The Statute of Secrecy abolished." He paused at that, letting the weight of what that meant sink in for everyone in the room. "This is the beginnings of a war, and we must stand stronger now than ever." Albus glanced around the room at each of his supporters in turn. "Some of you have been making headway already, helping muggleborn families get to safety. I will be opening Hogwarts up to families in need for the summer. Once the students have left, the Hogwarts Express will return harbouring muggleborns. I will, of course, assign those of you required to help with these tasks closer to the time. For now we will carry on as we are. I have work for all of you."
Some more than others, but they would all have their roles to play in what was to come. His steely gaze fell upon the Zellers, Caradoc Dearborn, Remus Lupin, the Devereaux family What would come for the halfbloods like them? Albus shuddered to think. Half vampires and werewolves were likely at a stronger disadvantage than muggleborns. What would they be labelled as? Monsters. Inhuman. Albus' stomach dropped as he looked at them. They were children. "Stay safe, all of you." He stepped down from the head of the table and retreated into the back room, not wanting to stop and chat to any of them in his current mood. He would speak to them all individually as needed over time. Tonight was not the night.
