PERSONALITY Boggart: Everything around her burning. Loved ones caught in flames. Having lost her grandparents in a fire she fears losing more relatives and loved ones the same way. Mirror of Erised: Dormiens would see herself standing in front of the mirror, looking happy and content her her husband and three children play in the background, set against the backdrop of a beautiful home in the country. Patronus: Puffin - A summer's day when she was little, she went fishing with her grandfather and then did some baking with her grandmother. Family means a lot to Dormiens. Dormiens is a busy individual. She takes on the role of leader in almost all situations that she's in. She's very decisive and driven and is always two moves ahead. Many people think she should have been a Ravenclaw and she was a bit of a hat-stall, sat under the Sorting Hat for 5 minutes before a decision was made. There was talk of all four houses but Slytherin was first dismissed. Next Hufflepuff. Finally it came down to Gryffindor and Ravenclaw and Dormiens did not have an opinion on the matter, she was more than happy to be in either house. The Sorting Hat finally saw fit to place her in Gryffindor where she joined a bunch of relieved faces, probably relieved that their waiting was over for it had felt like an eternity under that hat. Dormiens is an open book with her emotions, she's very easy to read although that doesn't mean that you know her as a person or that you can predict what she'll do next. She's a fighter at heart, willing to fight for any cause and she's Quidditch mad. A stalwart supporter of the Holyhead Harpies, Dormiens never misses a match. She misses her days of playing but she's long been done with Quidditch and hopes to find her niche in the world. For now she is fighting with the Order and she will give all that she can. She will give all she has to all her causes and does well with taking multiple causes under her wing. She has the time and so she feels she must do as much as she can to help as many as she can. Always having been popular in school, Dormiens has watched many friends fall in love, get married and have children. Sadly she has watched quite a few perish and so she has vowed to not let their loss be in vain. She's a little impatient from time to time when she's awaiting results from a decision she makes. Dormiens has been known to lose her temper and it's not exactly a pretty sight. Frightful when angered Dormiens barely recognises herself but it's something she's worked on, counting to ten before she reacts in a situation withe people that might cause her to lose her temper is her go-to method right now. Dormiens has had a lot of friends in the past, some have come and gone and some have stuck around. She makes an effort to keep in touch with everyone she considers a friend and even if they don't keep in contact, they get a card for Christmas. Dormiens is often just known as 'D' around her friends and family. She is perhaps a little naive in that she believes in giving people a chance, sometimes even a seconds chance to an ex that might deserve it, but she's no fool, she won't let anyone step all over her just to be nice. She's friendly but firm. Dormiens doesn't usually talk or spend any time thinking about people that dislike her. She's probably got a few "enemies" out there because she never tolerated bullying in school and she wasn't afraid to really put herself out there, but as nice as she tried to be, there were always people that thought she was fake and insincere. On top of that she works full time for the Order and has interfered with Death Eater doings a time or twenty. Doing what she can to help the Order progress in what feels like a losing battle. HISTORY Mother: Joanna LeBeau nee Whyte, 67, Hufflepuff, pureblood Father: Michel LeBeau, 60, Hufflepuff, half-blood Siblings: None Partners: None Others: Avery LeBeau, 99, Beauxbatons, pureblood, grandmother, deceased (fire) Hamilton LeBeau, 104, Beauxbatons, pureblood, grandfather, deceased (fire) Dormiens Avery LeBeau was born on a warm April day to two very proud parents. Joanna and Michel LeBeau were ready to welcome a child into their lives and their little pride and joy came along almost at once. The couple decided one child was enough and so Dormiens was an only child. She grew up hoping now and then for a brother or sister but it was never something that consumed her. She had plenty of friends both magical and non-magical and she was always off on adventures and learning new things with her parents. When Dormiens was three the family moved to France to be close to Michel's parents. His mother suffered from dementia and his father couldn't manage her alone. Together they all lived in a splendid château not too far from the sea towards the south of France. Dormiens, whose father was born to French parents in England, had learnt French growing up. Adjusting to life was easy for the toddler and she loved her grandparents very much, but at the age of eight there was a fire. Her grandmother Avery had placed something in the oven one night while everyone was sleeping. Her grandfather woke to find Avery missing and so he searched the house for her. He could smell the burning and he could see flames coming from the kitchen. Being non-magical he was not able to put out the flames but he called for help and ran into the kitchen where his wife laid lifeless. Dormiens doesn't remember much from that night other than her mother hurrying her outside. Her father helped battle the flames with others that lived near by but Avery and Hamilton were lost to the smoke. Dormiens and her parents stayed in hotels for the next few months while they could arrange for a home in England. They stayed in France until after the funerals and then moved to London. Dormiens recalls feeling very sad at no longer having her grandparents in her life but she managed their deaths relatively well. She cried and she felt an array of different emotions over the situation and thankfully had her parents to help guide her through everything. She found it hard coming to terms that she'd never play chess with her grandmother again or that she'd never stargaze with her grandfather. For a muggle man he knew a lot about the solar system and marrying a witch opened up even more knowledge to him, knowledge he'd been teaching Dormines since she was born. Dormiens settled in London quite well. She missed the warmer weather but she happily played in the drizzle. Everything did seem more grey but it was something she adapted to and now she will make the most of good weather. Diagon Alley was a wonderfully quaint experience for Dormiens. She'd been to a few of the French equivalents but the British one seemed to have so much more character than its French counterparts. She was eleven years old and spending a couple of days of her summer with her parents, shopping for her school supplies. She was excited to be going to Hogwarts like her parents had done before her. Saying goodbye to her parents was surprisingly easy for Dormiens. She'd had her worries about leaving them in the days leading up to the journey but on the First of September, 1958 Dormiens was at ease with the situation and actually rather excited, just as her parents had told her she would be. The train ride was excellent, in D's opinion. She travelled the car she was in, making friends where she could and enjoying the long journey. It felt like no time at all before the first years were being ushered towards a large lake. Dormiens climbed into a boat with a few other people and then the boat set off, taking them across the lake, looking up at the wondrous castle. Once inside the wonder never ceased on that first night. School was amazing in Gryffindor. Dormiens found interests in so many different academic clubs. She joined nearly all of them and kept herself busy. She was even part of a homework group to make sure she never slipped in that. She was a whizz at school. She absorbed knowledge like a sponge and always got her homework in on time. She loved reading but she wasn't one for works of fiction, she preferred reading about history or magic, anything that could broaden her mind and deepen her knowledge. During her third year Dormiens noticed there was an end to her tether. A boy that had picked on her since her first year took things too far and pushed her down the main stairs from halfway. She rolled and a tumbled, dislocated her left shoulder and fractured her left wrist. She had a cut dangerously close to her eye and a lump on her forehead. Absolutely furious she whipped out her wand and threw the nastiest hex she could manage at the boy. He went flying back through the crowd that had started to gather on the stairs and knocked several people over. He hit the back of his head against a stone step and fractured his skull, but Dormiens wasn't done. She swished and jabbed her wand in his direction countless times, wanting him to suffer, wanting him to feel the years of pain he'd inflicted on her. She only stopped when a Professor came from the great hall and put an end to the commotion. Taken to the hospital wing along with the boy, they were put at opposite ends to make sure nothing else happened. Dormiens was given a warning but that was all. The boy, as well as his injuries, received detentions and a loss of house points. Dormiens felt justice had been well and truly served. From then on whenever Dormiens noticed someone being bullied she tried to keep an eye on the situation, it wasn't a pleasant experience being picked on and she hoped no one else had to go through what she went through. She encouraged people to come to clubs, not wanting to overstep and get involved when people didn't want her involved in actively standing up against a bully. She joined the Quidditch team as Seeker in her fourth year and became captain of the Chess club. She was still a prat of as many clubs as she could be and was always active all over the castle. In her fifth year Dormiens became a Prefect for Gryffindor, her schedule started to become full so she dropped a lot of clubs and was left with Chess Club, Quidditch, Astronomy Club and Homework club. She prioritised Quidditch and loved the game immensely but it brought her a few grumpy faces in the Chess club when a couple of members wanted to try and change the meets to her quidditch training times. Dormiens was hurt that they'd try such a thing, she always tried to give 100% to everything she did and so she took the members on head first in a few intense chess battles and won. Things stayed the same and the members quieted down. That was about as dramatic as life got at Hogwarts for D. There were a few love interests but nothing she grew too attached to. She found she was better off as a friend to many people and feels fine with that. Once she was graduated from school Dormiens tried to find where she fit in with the world. She took on many jobs, trained for various things but never stuck to anything. She became a Quidditch player (in Seeker position) for the Appleby Arrows and then a few years later the Holyhead Harpies until she retired a few years ago so she could focus completely on working for the Order. She's dedicated herself completely to the Order and its needs, not having any responsibilities beyondcher friends and family. OOC Play By: Gal Gadot Your Alias: Coco!
