Boogie Wonderland // Everybody!

Finally Sully went for it, and about bloody time, too. There was a big build up of people waiting to get through and some cutie stuck holding the door. Luckily for Sully he didn't need a kick up the arse. As soon as they were in Nala was off, scotching around her awkward as hell brother to try and find something to drink before she got up to much else for the night. She spotted a hot blonde up on the stage in a tight red outfit, singing karaoke. She stared perhaps a little longer than was necessary but it was great to see 1. a hot blonde and 2. karaoke. She was definitely going to be belting out a few numbers tonight, but not before she grabbed a drink, so she made her way to the bar an waited her turn to be served.

The big bulky one who was possibly famous made his way into the barn at last and she followed in after Meg, eyeing up the hunk, only to spot him chatting with a brunette. Ew. Brunette. How bland. Well she would be sure to impress, even if she had to turn on the charm a little, although she very much doubted she’d need it, she was the most attractive individual there by far and she had an exotic, stunning accent, and not to mention she was an absolute delight to be around. She would let him talk to the plain-Jane for now and she would absolutely wow him later. “Where is the bar?” She asked, looking around, spotting it at the back, “I want some bubbly!” She announced to her friends, looking around to see if there was anyone else famous that might be worth her efforts.

Eric was looking! Of course he was and he probably enjoyed the good bum slap Hazel just gave her. “Who could blame him?” She said, rolling her eyes and then having a little laugh. She liked Eric, occasionally at least, but also he was a giant pain in the arse, still it wasn’t as if she was going to let her whole evening revolve around Eric, even if it was his party. “Are you going have a go at the karaoke?” She asked. She was definitely getting up there and bellowing out something fun a lively, and she wouldn’t mind a duet if Hazel was up for it.

Nova went ahead of her sisters and got in through the door before either of them, passing some twerp that looked award as hell just standing there with the door in his hand, was this really the sort of thing that needed a doorman? She didn’t think so. She didn't care if Echo wasn't going to introduce her to the tall and gorgeous Sully because she was more than capable of introducing herself. She looked about and spotted him almost immediately, chatting to some brunette he had has hand on, Nova didn’t care, she tussled her hair just a little and made her way over to the pair, “Hey there,” She beamed her bright smile at the pair, looking from the brunette and then to the total hunk, “I believe I know you,” She said, tilting her head to the side a little and looking him up and down as she spoke, “you whopped my sister’s derrière last season. I’m Nova, Nova Everwood.” She said, holding out her hand.

A first date at a barn dance. A place full of people that she probably wouldn’t know, or worse - would - with a guy she didn’t even know that well. Well, it could have been worse, it probably wouldn’t crack her top of worst first dates, but it was good to be out and dating again, even if disaster was in the air from the get go, anything to get out for a little while. Between work, visiting her family and practically buying out a whole bookshop to drown her sorrows of losing an actual decent guy because of timing commitments, Immy was back in the dating saddle, and what a way to start. “Thanks.” She smiled at Quentin, striking a little pose with her hands on her hips to show off her dress for the evening. Quentin, or Q as he said he liked to be called, had dressed a bit more formally that Immy thought she’d dressed, but this was in a barn, right? How dressed up did she need to be, really? Well apparently quite a bit. She saw a heck of a lot of ladies looking as though they were going out clubbing, but she also saw a couple looking good in jeans or trousers, so she guessed it was a case of whatever you felt comfortable in, and Immy felt comfortable in this. “A gin and tonic would be great.” She said, thinking that maybe this could be okay for a first date because if Q ended up being a total twit, she could just up and leave without him noticing. Oh who was she kidding, if he ended up being a total twat she’d probably end up taking him back to her place.

Jasper noticed the guy that was at the barn door hovering about was the same one that had dragged Dora off at Leo’s barbecue. Merlin he hoped there wouldn’t be a repeat of that tonight, but at least this Sully bloke had helped in calming the evening down, so that was at least something. The bloke had to bend down but he made it through and then so did his date for the evening, but Jasper couldn’t go in yet, there were still quite a few people to go and he couldn’t shut the door on them so he stood there, holding the door open with a smile on his face as people passed by until a chap with an American accent offered to take the door from him. Jasper tried to brush it off as no big deal, nearly everyone was through now anyway, but the guy had taken the door and so Jasper had little else to do but go on in, so he did and he scooted around the end of the wall, back practically up against it, waiting for the area to clear so he could decide what he was going to do next.
