Stay out, and we'll live forever now It was hard to believe it was April already. Leo felt like it was only a week ago that he was waking up on New Years Day with a killer hangover and a faint memory of having his butt groped by a man in some club. He couldn't even remember where he'd ended up, or how he'd got home that night, but it didn't feel like three months ago, that was for sure. Time waited for no man, and Leo intended to move right along with it. He'd gotten his place set up with some baby essentials, for a start, since his sister insisted on ditching her new son on other people whenever she could. She was a good mother when she was with Blaise, but her patience for him was almost non existent, and Kara would often get fed up and desperate for some time alone. Leo didn't mind having Blaise stay over with him, not one bit. He had always had a knack with kids, and it was easy enough to look after a four month old baby for a night. He woke up a few times in the night, but aside from that, he was a pretty pleasant kid. And he was getting weekly bonding time with his uncle, which was great if you ignored the reason behind it. He was nephew free for the weekend this week. He'd minded the tiny pooper on Wednesday night so that Kara could go to karaoke, and as payment, she had to keep her own son all weekend, and miss out on the Easter barbeque Leo was having with some friends. Usually he would invite his siblings to come along, and Enzo said he would show up for an hour or two, but Kara would be noticeably absent, and rightly so. Leo had gotten in all of the supplies, food and alcohol, and chocolate eggs he would need for a Sunday afternoon with friends, and he'd started up the barbeque out by the pool when he knew people were due to start arriving. He'd lost track of how many people were supposed to be coming, but there was music playing loudly, the sun was shining, and it was set to be the perfect day. He had every intention of setting Jasper up with Immy today. They were both cute, and Immy had been single for far too long, so why the hell not. Jasper was too reserved for Leo's liking when it came to women, he needed to put himself back out there, and someone like Imelda would be perfect for him; classy, beautiful, not likely to sleep with a football team behind his back. It really couldn't go wrong. He sipped on a glass of whiskey as he listened to the buzz of chatter around him from the guests who had already arrived. Time to mingle. _______________________ tag: Jasper Ignatius Flint , Caradoc Bernard Dearborn , Dorian Michael Humbert , Imelda Abril Fenwick , London Nerissa James , Freya Isis Fawley words: 535 notes: I've tagged the basics, feel free to drag other people along if you want. <3 outfit: Keeping it classy template by izzy[googlefont="Cedarville Cursive"][googlefont="Cinzel Decorative"]

And you're wrapped in light and life, and love Gabe had fussed over her all morning. He wasn't sure about them apparating to the party, and he wasn't sure about her being surrounded by people drinking and being rowdy. Freya appreciated how much he cared and looked out for her, but she had managed to convince her fiance that she would be fine. She was seven and a half months pregnant, and she could go to a bloody barbeque at a friends house without anything bad happening. She was only a few weeks away from the no apparating rule, though. She knew her limits. Besides, she would be relaxing and staying away from anyone who had too many drinks this afternoon. She'd spent far too much time trying to squeeze her feet into heels, until finally giving up and putting on a pair of flip flops with her dress. She didn't care. She just didn't care. It was ridiculous how easily her feet swelled these days, and if she got cramp in them, everyone would know about it. She'd be barefoot before long, anyway. Sure enough, ten minutes after they arrived at Leo's house, they'd greeted the host, and Gabriel had gotten them a drink each - he was drinking fruit juice tonight so he could look after her if she needed anything - and Frey was now happily sipping on a glass of ice cold water, and mingling with the guests who had arrived. She knew a lot of people here, but there were also faces she didn't recognize. Gabriel had been dorm mates with Leo at school, and so always got an invite to these sorts of things, but Leo often tended to find himself new people to befriend, and so the group changed and grew a lot. Gabe was off talking to someone in the kitchen, and Freya - after snagging herself a chocolate Easter egg off the kitchen counter - made her way outside, running her hand along Leo's arm as she passed him. "I'll be rooted in the pool if anyone asks," she told him with a smile that said she was planning on being devilishly lazy today. He laughed and she padded past him, kicking her flip flops off and slowly, laboriously lowering herself to sit at the edge of the pool, her aching feet dipping into the cool water, making her sigh in relief. Yes, this was where she would be for the foreseeable future. She munched happily on her chocolate egg. _______________________ tag: Everyone! words: 437 notes: <3 outfit: My feet are killing me template by izzy[googlefont="Euphoria Script"][googlefont="Cinzel Decorative"]

My promise to you always and forever
“And don’t wear a suit.” Leo always knew exactly when and how hard to kick Dorian’s arse into gear. Alright, ‘always’ was hyperbole but more often than not, Leo could read Dorian just right. They had been friends for longer than Dorian cared to remember. Leo had been there through it all. When his parents had been kidnapped, his father murdered, and his mum tortured into insanity, Leo offered his support. When his mum took her own life in the mental ward where she was supposed to be safe, Leo had been the first to come by. He brought Dorian food when he didn’t ask for it and insisted on badgering him when Dorian just wanted to work and ignore the pain. Leo had always been a delightful pain in the neck and even though Dorian had retreated pretty far into himself after his parents had gone, and again after Paris’ death, and still again after River and Bert had passed leaving him an uncle and father to his orphaned niece, Leo had always checked in on him, keeping tabs and reminding Dorian he couldn’t hide from the world for long. He was a good friend who meant well but his latest request had just gone too far. No suit?! Preposterous. How was he supposed to feel comfortable around so many people, even if a good number of them were something of his friends, if he couldn’t dress in whatever he felt most comfortable in? Dorian liked being buttoned up. It felt good to have rigidity and order around him, and a suit embodied that but apparently it wasn’t that sort of an affair, despite it being Easter Sunday. Dorian recruited Geralina’s aide in finding something that was casual enough to appease Leo’s ridiculous request but still nice enough that Dorian would be comfortable. Was a tie okay? He wasn’t expected to wear jeans, was he? Dorian felt like a teenage girl getting ready for a party and he was a little angry with Leo for making him fret like this, though only a very little.
There were plenty of familiar faces around, and Dorian mingled here and there with a few of the more friendly sorts. Gabe and Freya had arrived, and while the pregnant witch had wandered off to sit by the pool, Dorian stood with Gabe in the kitchen, catching up. “Ariel’s with her uncle Julian. We’re getting together for tea later and to have an egg hunt in the garden.” Ariel was old enough now that she could do a little egg hunt on her own, with the eggs spread out on the grass right in front of her. Tristan would probably be much of the same, despite having a few years on his cousin. The pair chatted about Gabe’s and Freya’s little girl who was expected in only a few months’ time. Everyone was having children. They had finally reached that age. It was strange to see his mates from school, the same ones who had thrown cherry bombs into the girl’s loo on the third floor and tried making liquor from their potions supply (to no avail), now raising children of their own. Even Dorian was a parent, despite having come into it through the most macabre manner. The pseudo-fathers compared tales and were soon joined by a few others, at which point Dorian decided to head out to the pool. “You’re not giving this one vodka, are you, Zabini?” He looked between Leo at the barbecue and Freya sitting nearby with her feet in the pool. She had water and Dorian had a grin on his face that felt old and new at the same time.

Jasper was not punctual. He never had been. It was quite possibly one of his biggest flaws but it made him lovable, right? Jasper wasn't sure as he scurried around the house, getting his bits and bobs together. Ebony had always kept him running on time. Merlin knew how she did it, she had been magical in that way. It was strange to Jasper, he had no idea how she could bring him such anger and rage and yet he was still able to look back and remember how perfectly she fit into his life. In his mind it was almost as if there were two different Ebony's, one that was his wife and another that was a complete slut that he was glad had died. That was perhaps a little harsh, far harsher than Jasper's thoughts usually were, but it was like his wife was two separate people and he felt very differently about the both of them. One he loved, the other he never wanted to think of ever again, but he couldn't compartmentalise like that, they were both the same woman which made his wife a heartless, conniving witch.
Leaving his home with a pop Jasp arrived outside of Leo's place. He could hear chatter carrying over the house and he could smell the BBQ. He opened the front door and let himself in and was met with the sound of chatter. He smiled a little to himself, it was a good feeling to be back out and socialising. There was a time after Ebony's death where he'd shut himself away. Many people believed it was because he missed his wife, he'd only confided in Leo of what his wife's true nature had been. "Hey." He called to Leo as he entered and made his way over to his friend. Jasper held out a blue gift bag that he'd carried with him, it just had a bottle of rum inside but it was better than the standard gift of a bottle of wine, Leo had plenty of that, what he didn't have plenty of was Black Tot. Not the most expensive of Rums, it didn't even cost a half grand of galleons, but it held a few good memories. "A gift for the host," he chuckled, "Happy Easter, mate." He said, looking around "No Blaise this weekend?" Leo was often playing the good uncle and looking after his nephew. His sister, Kara, was a beautiful woman and smart witch, but not exactly the maternal kind.

What an Easter! Doc was famished and ready to delve into all the foods Leo had on offer at his Easter barbecue. Doc had spent the morning at Church with his family and was glad to be out of there. He always got a gloomy and depressed feeling behind the cold stone walls of the place but he had to admit he did enjoy belting out the songs just a bit. A good rendition of 'Alleluia' had put him in a joyful mood and after 40 days of Lent he was ready to get a few drinks inside of him. He'd not bothered fasting this year, his mother had always been the religious one, insisting the whole family join her in celebrating properly and what not, but Doc couldn't do it this year, he liked a decent meal and surely giving up red meat and alcohol for Lent was enough. He'd acted as she would have liked since her untimely death but this year there was just too much going on, he felt. It was their first Easter without Tristan and Doc was really beginning to lose faith all together.
Doing a little mixing and mingling, Doc was enjoying himself. He was chatting away in the kitchen with Gabe, reminiscing a little about their time at school and wondering how they got away with even half the things they'd gotten up to. They hadn't been trouble makers by any stretch of the imagination, but they weren't completely innocent. Doc finished off his drink and noticed Gabe running low so he grabbed them out a couple of new ones from the fridge, taking a peek at the desserts for later. Was that a chocolate gateau? Doc was pretty sure that it was and he was eyeing up a bit of that for later before he shut the fridge door shut and took Gabe another fruit drink while he himself indulged in another beer and the pair talked of pregnancy, babies, weddings, and Doc's non-existent love life.

Stay out, and we'll live forever now Freya passed him with a lusty look in her eyes as she headed for the pool. He chuckled as she told him she'd be sitting by the water for the day if anyone asked, and he made a note of it. He was sure Gabe would ask him at some point if he didn't already know where his girl was, he was a good fiance, he actually cared, unlike some of the guys Leo knew, who treated their wives like nothing more than pieces of meat. He didn't like that side of some of his pureblooded friends. They married because they were told to, and therefore had little to zero respect for their wives. It wasn't Leo's style. He was more a committed and caring kind of guy, and he wanted to marry for love, something he was lucky to be able to do one day since his parents had never thought to try and pair him up with someone. He was thankful for that, and thankful for friends like Gabriel Ollivander. Dorian stepped outside, a look of mirth on his face as he asked whether Frey was sipping on vodka. Leo glanced at the clear liquid in Freya's glass. It could easily pass for vodka. He let out a chuckle. "Gotta start them early, Dor," he said with a shrug. "Kid's gonna come out fighting." Freya rolled her eyes at him, and he laughed some more as Jasper rolled in late, as expected, and held out a small blue gift bag. Leo took it and peeked inside, pulling out the bottle of rum and giving it a lover's look. He whistled low. "Oh, this is getting hidden away for something special," he crooned, caressing the bottle and patting Jasper on the back. "Thanks, man." He slid the bottle back into the blue bag and kept hold of it, intending to see it to a safe place himself, rather than put it down and risk someone opening it. "I am kid free, and if Kara shows up here with him, you have my blessing to kick her out and lock the door." He was smiling, but he really meant it. She had better not have the cheek to bring Blaise to the barbeque. It was adults only. Dorian had to leave in a few hours to go back to Ariel, and that was fine, but today was a kid free zone for Leo. _______________________ tag: Jasper Ignatius Flint , Dorian Michael Humbert , Freya Isis Fawley and everyone! words: 440 notes: <3 outfit: Keeping it classy template by izzy[googlefont="Cedarville Cursive"][googlefont="Cinzel Decorative"]

But maybe you're hoping for a fairytale, too Lola could have spent her Easter with her family. Her nieces and nephew probably would have been pleased to see her, but honestly, would they miss her just this once? She'd visited both Vienna and King yesterday and dropped off tons of chocolate eggs to make the kids hyper, and a little Easter dress for Tilly, who was too tiny for eggs. She was pretty happy with her effort, and it meant she could go to Leo Zabini's barbeque without feeling a drop of guilt. Okay, she felt one tiny drop of guilt, but it had soon subsided when they'd arrived at Leo's house and she'd seen the pool. She had on a blue bikini under her dress specifically so she could take advantage of the pool later. Living in an apartment did have its drawbacks, and she knew one day she'd probably get an actual house and make sure it had a pool in the back garden, but for now she'd just take advantage of luxuries that her friends had. She'd asked both Ollie and Dora to come with her, not wanting to be the youngest there, surrounded by older people who all wanted to talk about work, or kids, or mortgages, or whatever people in their thirties talked about. Lo could talk about those things, but it wasn't really what an Easter get together was for, was it. She wanted to let her hair down and have a laugh with friends, and after greeting Leo, she'd pulled Dora and Ollie to the informal living room that was tucked away on the other side of the kitchen, and just so happened to be home to Leo's bar. Dora couldn't drink, but she could have a non-alcoholic cocktail, which Lo had encouraged. "I saw Freya Fawley out by the pool drinking water, you don't want to be that person," she told Dora, knowing Dora liked to be the fanciest bitch at the ball, and she deserved to still be that even when she was ready to pop. She turned to Ollie. "You're gonna come swimming with me later, aren't you?" she checked, having every intention of just shoving him in the water if he said no. As if he'd say no. Ollie was probably her most fun friend, which was the entire reason why he was here. She sipped on her appletini happily. _______________________ tag: Euphadora Rose Parkinson , Oliver Osiris Devereaux and everyone! words: 426 notes: <3 outfit: Blue beauty template by izzy[googlefont="Parisienne"][googlefont="Cinzel Decorative"]

She was a little bit ruined a beautiful disaster but she was magic
Dora still had over a month to go before she got her figure back, but she’d been invited to an Easter BBQ by Lola and seeing as she didn’t have any other plans, the raven-haired mummy-to-be got all dolled up to go socialize with a bunch of grannies and grandads. Okay, it hadn’t been sold to her as a function for the elderly, but Lola had made mention that she was to be the youngest person at the party and didn’t want to feel on an island all by her youthful lonesome, so she’d recruited Dora and Ollie to join her. Dora hadn’t had high hopes for the other guests, but as the group strolled through the massive mansion littered with attractive people, Dora was beginning to think this could be a very entertaining day. She would have fun with her friends, as was always the plan, but now her eyes would be having fun too as she scanned the model-worthy wizards dotted around the home. The owner of this handsome mansion was a bloke named Leo, an older man with a smile that made Dora melt and she greeted him with a flirty smile before Lola ushered their little group into the house to find some drinks.
Lola mentioned Freya, an older witch who was also pregnant. Dora was pleased not to be the only whale at the party, but she was in high spirits today and was perfect happy to flaunt her baby belly in a short dress that barely covered her knickers, and tucked away in her bag was a bikini she was bound to look stunning in. The weather was perfect and Dora couldn’t wait to get into the pool for the first time this year. “If I’m ever that person, you have my permission to use the Killing Curse on me. Just don’t let that hunky Auror by the pool hear you plotting things.” Dora fixed herself up a Shirley Temple, complete with an orange and cherry garnish, and sipped on it as talk of swimming started up.

If you obey all the rules you miss all the fun
The Devereauxs were no slouches, but this place made Ollie’s wildest fantasies look pathetic. London had invited him and Dora to accompany her at a friend’s BBQ on Easter, and Ollie thought it sounded fun, but now that he was here, he was feeling severely under dressed. He was wearing shorts and a stripy-shape shirt, with boat shoes because he thought they looked pretty cool with his outfit before he saw all the older gents with their button-down shirts and their khaki trousers. Hairy legs and pale arms on full display, Ollie followed the ladies around the party, talking with a few people whenever London introduced them but not really knowing what much to say beyond “great weather, eh?” and “this is some party.” He sounded like a tosser, but it didn’t bother him. He didn’t know a good number of the people here, so what was it to him if they thought he was a big knob. London asked about swimming and Ollie grinned. “Course I am! I’m just trying to figure out if I want to canon ball or belly flop as my grand entrance.” He gave a big smile and nodded his head at her, eyes wide in an expression that said he was dead serious and very much looking forward to it.

But maybe you're hoping for a fairytale, too "Shhhh!" London giggled at Dora saying she could use the Killing Curse on her if she ever became the dull person drinking water at a party. "You'll get yourself arrested and have an Azkaban baby, saying stuff like that!" Did they put people away for just saying things like that out loud in a casual manner? Lola didn't know, but she'd rather not risk it. Like Dora had said, there was a hot Auror out by the pool, and just because he was off duty, didn't mean he would forget his training. Lo often found herself doing her job even when she wasn't on the clock. She'd see a mother giving a toddler grapes to eat and immediately say something, warning them to be careful of choking. She'd see old people crossing busy roads like snails and rush to help them. Better to link their arms until they reached the other side safely, than have to treat their injuries after they'd been hit by a bus. She couldn't help but notice accidents waiting to happen, and be prepared to deal with them, because she was trained to do so. Her brain was always in emergency mode, even if it was just little alarms going off in the back of her mind while she was trying to have fun. Even Ollie's question about whether he should do a canon ball or a belly flop into the pool triggered her work brain. She immediately, without even wanting to, assessed which of the two would be likely to hurt him the most, or even break a bone. People doing belly flops into pools or the sea had knocked themselves unconscious in the past, she knew. Still, this was not work. This was play. Lola grinned happily as she met Ollie's wide gaze. "Belly flopppp!" she sang, knowing full well that despite its risks, it would be the most fun, and the most entertaining for people watching. She wouldn't be doing one herself, she'd definitely opt for the canon ball, but Ollie was tough. And if he did somehow knock himself out - unlikely - she was there to help, and Leo and Jasper were amazing healers. He'd be fine. Everything was fine. It was time to play. "Shall we head outside?" she asked, happy that they all had drinks for the time being. _______________________ tag: Euphadora Rose Parkinson , Oliver Osiris Devereaux and everyone! words: 416 notes: <3 outfit: Blue beauty template by izzy[googlefont="Parisienne"][googlefont="Cinzel Decorative"]

Life as a Healer was a little unpredictable. There were the strange hours, the strange cases and the strange patients, and that was just the start of it all. Fellow staff could occasionally be inconsiderate while others could be flat out rude. Immy wasn't exactly someone that would let people walk all over her but she did put up with a lot more than the regular witch or wizard might, today's example came from a healer that wanted to be out the door on time and couldn't be bothered with another case. He palmed it off on Immy who acted more than happy to help a fellow Healer out but deep down knew her colleague was taking advantage of her kinder nature. She was keeping track, though, and if this became a regular thing, as in happened again, then she would be putting her foot down on the matter. There was helping someone out and then there was being walked over. Immy wasn't going to let herself be walked over but she would give her colleague the chance to get out on time, even if it meant her missing the start of Leo's barbeque, but he'd understand because he'd been where she was.
Finally clocking out and knowing her patient was in good hands and in a stable condition, Immy headed to the change room. She didn't have time to head home and change and if she did then there was the chance she'd just crash on her sofa and not go at all. Again, Leo would understand if she'd done that but this was the first out of work thing he'd invited her to at his home, mixing with more than just people from work that she already knew. Immy wasn't sure if she'd know anyone at Leo's place today but she got ready and she was looking forward to doing a bit of mingling and maybe making a new friend or two. What harm could it do?
Leaving the hospital Immy summoned the Knight Bus. She'd never been to Leo's place before so had no idea what it looked like which meant no apparating. She had no desire to travel by floo and get her clothes all dirty and she certainly didn't want soot all in her hair. She hadn't set up a portkey because she hadn't known what time she'd be leaving work (she never finished on time) and so the Knight Bus was the only plausible solution left. Unfortunately. Immy found herself tossed about this way and that as the chairs slid across the lower floor of the bus. A few times Immy passed under the chandelier that dangled from the far top of the bus and swayed rather precariously as they went round corners and as the bus squeezed to fit between cars. The muggle world was very busy.
Eventually the bus pulled up at the end of the driveway and Immy gladly got off, relieved that the journey was over and wishing that she'd taken something beforehand for the nausea. She sighed and smoothed her white tee shirt over her flat belly, partially in order to straighten it out a little but mostly to settle her nerves after such a journey. She made her way down the driveway and was in absolute awe at Leo’s home. She wondered if she’d got the right place but she could hear chatter, music and smell the smells of a barbeque. She felt like she was in the right place but there were probably plenty of people having barbecues today, celebrating Easter and what was probably going to be short-lived good weather.
Immy came up to the front door, which was slightly ajar, and knocked. “Hellooo?” She called, letting herself in and seeing straight through to the back where people seemed to be enjoying herself, she took a breath and started walking to where the people were having a grand ol’ time. She couldn’t see Leo so she really hoped she had the right place and wasn’t barging in on anyone’s Easter celebrations uninvited. If she was then she’d offer apology after apology and back out as quickly as possible. She hoped Leo was just out of sight around the other side of the wall or off in the kitchen or something simple, because if she had crashed some family’s Easter, she was going to be super embarrassed.

She was a little bit ruined a beautiful disaster but she was magic
Not ever having been close enough to anyone who’d had any real trouble with the law, other than her daddy who had been assaulted by a madman before the MLE could even get involved, Dora thought nothing of making jokes about Azkaban babies. She laughed and rubbed her belly with her free hand. “I do look good in stripes.” She sipped her drink as Ollie pondered his entrance into the pool. “Yes, yes! Belly flop! Oh,” she said with a sudden look of concern. “But don’t get my hair wet.” Her concern faded into a bright smile, showing she was only teasing. She’d placed all sorts of vanity charms on herself today, making sure she’d look phenomenal at the pool. Her scars were covered as well as their severity would allow and her hair was enchanted to stay silky smooth even when wet. She was the size of a quidditch pitch, but she would be the most attractive witch at the party in spite of it. Lola coming in a very close second. Black hair bouncing as Dora nodded in agreement with venturing outside, she turned on her tall heels, looping her arm in Ollie’s. “So which one of these cougars are we setting Ollie up with, Lo-Lo?” she giggled and smiled at Oliver, knowing he was just like his brother when it came to ladies, all nerves and flushed cheeks.

And you're wrapped in light and life, and love Freya turned her cool green gaze on Dorian as he appeared in the garden and made a joke - an actual joke - about what might be in Frey's cup. "You owe me a vodka once I've pushed this bean out," she told him with one arched brow. She couldn't wait to be able to drink again. Not that she was some kind of alcoholic, far from it, but she really enjoyed a beer with her husband, or friends and family, and not being able to just freely pick up a drink at a get together was a bit of a pain in the arse, though she imagined giving birth would be an even bigger and more literal pain in the arse. She rolled her eyes as Leo joked that her baby would come out fighting. She really hoped not. If it could just slip out nice and smooth, she'd be eternally grateful. She'd asked Nelle if she had had any visions of her actual labour, but her vision-having little sister had only seen things from a little farther into the future. There was nothing helpful or soothing that Noelle could tell her, other than her child would grow up healthy and beautiful. She supposed she should be content with that. Jasper made his way outside, and she raised her glass to him in greeting. "Hey Jasp." Sipping her water, she went back to watching the sunbeams dance on the top of the pool, which was completely still until she shifted her feet to get comfortable, causing rainbow ripples across the surface of the water. _______________________ tag: Dorian Michael Humbert , Leonardo Valerio Zabini , Jasper Ignatius Flint and Everyone! words: 296 notes: <3 outfit: My feet are killing me template by izzy[googlefont="Euphoria Script"][googlefont="Cinzel Decorative"]

Stay out, and we'll live forever now Leo was about to make a highly insensitive comment about how Frey would be pushing out something much bigger than a bean, but she was saved from his humour by a small voice calling out from inside. Leo craned his neck to see Imelda Fenwick looking a little bit lost inside his house. She was alone, and he took a few steps towards the back door so she could see him. He'd only moved a few paces away from the barbeque when something started to crackle loudly over the flames. "Immy, you made it," he smiled, glancing over his shoulder in time to see flames shooting skyward from the barbeque. "Oh, damn!" Rushing back to the burning food, he patted Jasper on the shoulder, putting the blue bag with the rum inside back in Jasper's hand. "Jas, can you put this under the bar and show Immy in for me?" he asked, trusting Jasper to see his guest in safely, and hoping that they'd subtly hit it off. "Hey, do you know Jasper?" he called to Immy over his shoulder as he began flicking his wand to control the flaming burgers, floating them out of the flickering fire and onto a plate, where they sizzled. They weren't too burned, just a bit charred, but still edible. "This is going well," he laughed, putting the burgers on a table that was filled with hotdogs and buns and other food he'd already prepared or charred ten minutes ago. People were helping themselves, but Leo hadn't had a bite to eat yet. "I need Doc out here," he muttered to himself. Doc was reliable in a fiery crisis, he'd make sure Leo didn't burn his house down. Wherever he was. He was probably inside with a cool drink and good company. Leo would have asked Dorian for a bit of assistance, but the guy could only stay for a few hours, he didn't need to spend his time playing chef when he should be relaxing and being sociable. "Burnt burgers are up!" Leo called loudly, thinking he might go with chicken next. He stuck his hand into the mini refrigerator next to him and set to work, cracking open a bottle of beer as he did. _______________________ tag: Imelda Abril Fenwick , Jasper Ignatius Flint , Caradoc Bernard Dearborn and everyone! words: 402 notes: <3 outfit: Keeping it classy template by izzy[googlefont="Cedarville Cursive"][googlefont="Cinzel Decorative"]

Jasper briefly chuckled while Leo panicked about burning food but being the incredible friend that he was, he took Leo's gift and patted the bloke on the shoulder, "No worries. You take care of the food." He chuckled, heading back in and towards the entrance. He spotted Immy and he recognised her from about the hospital. She worked in a different department from him and he'd not had the pleasure of actually having a chat with her. He supposed now was the perfect time to change that and if Leo was asking him to see her in then Jasper felt fairly certain that this was another one of Leo's attempts to set him up with someone. Not that Jasper minded, he was terrible at finding women. A girl he'd had a crush on in school ended up dating one of his closest friends, his wife was a cheating whore and there were a few minor incidences in his life too which had prevented him from dating certain people so maybe Leo's interference in his love life was what he needed to get himself back in the game a little more. It had been a while since his wife's death and she'd been totally unfaithful, so why not get to know someone else a little?
"Hey Immy," He said, taking a step up to greet Immy who was by the door but that was as far as he got. He misstepped with his second foot, hit the front of the second step and fell flat forward. He tried to turn himself as he fell only he had the gift in the bag there so he quickly shot his arm out at an odd angle to try and prevent anything from happening to the rum. Body twisted, arm flying out, face covered in complete horror and Jasper finally hit the ground, feeling as though his fall had almost been in slow motion, though it certainly had not been. His head collided with the floor and his arm pushed back. He groaned a little, not wanting to make a bigger deal out of what was happening because of course this was what happened when he tried to introduce himself to a nice woman, he had the absolute worst luck when it came to his love life so why in all that was magical would Leo getting involve in any way, shape or form change that? Was that blood!? Yep. There was blood coming out of his face somewhere so he tried to get himself up but the arm that was still holding the unbroken gift was useless so he had to roll on to his other side and he felt the blood trickle across his face as he tried to do so. Wonderful first impression.
