Diagon Alley is a cobblestoned wizarding alley and shopping area located in London, England behind a pub called the Leaky Cauldron. Inside the alley is an assortment of restaurants, shops, and other sights. All items on the Hogwarts supply list can be bought at Diagon Alley. The alley is completely hidden from the Muggle world which is right outside of its boundaries. It is essentially the centre of wizarding London.

Every metropolitan city claims to have the wildest nightlife, but only the wizarding community in London actually holds that title. Whimsic Alley is relatively quiet and rather mild during the day; fine dining and classy hotels, a few shops scattered here and there. It’s not until the sun sets that the party really gets started. Pubs, night clubs, gentlemen’s clubs, theatres, Whimsic Alley is the place to go if you’re looking to have a good time.

Ministry of Magic

The headquarters of the Ministry of Magic are located deep underground, below Whitehall, in London. They are comprised of a very large, ten-story building housing several offices, departments and courtrooms. Although all the structure is underground, magical windows show whatever weather the Magical Maintenance Department has chosen for the day, from bright sunshine to hurricanes. Lifts provide access to every level, except Level Ten, the Wizengamot Courtrooms, which is only accessible via a set of stairs from Level Nine, the Department of Mysteries.
