The muggles are beginning to respect our kind and realise that they do not own this country, it is not their country - it is our. We will continue to fight for our freedom, to be able to live our lives wherever we please. Muggle communities will be set up so that they are the ones hidden from sight, not us. We will finally have complete freedom to live our lives as wizards and witches of Great Britain. It is time that our lives began expanding, that we push those that do not deserve our magics aside, which is why new marriage laws will be coming into affect as of tomorrow. Marriages will be between two consenting magical individuals. Magical unions are a wondrous celebration. For all new laws, a decree will be released tomorrow. It will be effective immediately. We will truly make our country Great. When future generations talk about how Great our country is, they will look back and they will say that today started the Great revolution. Thank you.”

Plans to eliminate the muggle-born wretch from the wizarding world were going well. They needed to learn their place and that place was not where magic existed. The next step in Wilbur’s plan, as Minister for Magic, restricted marriages. His laws also encouraged pureblood to create more purebloods in turn, their blood status was most important and needed to be preserved. The new laws that came out announced Muggleborns were no longer allowed to have children, and ominous wording made it seem as though it wold be seen to that they most certainly could not have children, one way or another.

Purebloods were given incentives to marry and have children, with either fellow pureblood or halfbloods. A 75 incentive to every couple that included a pureblood and was approved for marriage through the ministry, was given. It was titled a ‘Honeymoon Bonus’ and given to the wedded couple when they produced proof of their wedding. Halfbloods marrying halfbloods were entitled to 25 incentives for their marriages. Any divorces between halfblood and halfblood now have to pay a hefty fee while divorces between purebloods and purebloods must be Minister approved, as well as the hefty fee for processing.

Any pureblood or halfblooded couples that had children were given monthly payments of 50 for the first six months of their child’s life and a farther 10 per month until the child was an adult. Muggleborns with businesses were forced to pay extra fees and taxes, and were only allowed to keep their businesses open under the conditions of sterility. Day by day, the Ministry sends forth its goons in search of muggleborns, dragging them to a secure location and sterilising each and everyone, to stop them from mixing their tainted blood into the magical gene pool.
