She was a little bit ruined a beautiful disaster but she was magic Her flat was teensy tiny but after spending seven years with a handful of dorm mates at Hogwarts, and a few more years with Fin as a housemate, Dora was finding living on her own to be a bit lonely. She had been thinking on it for a while now, at least a few weeks, and had decided that she was going to get a pet. Something small, of course, as she couldn’t very well fit a large animal in her little studio flat, but she didn’t want a rodent or a toad, and she wasn’t keep on birds either. Really, she wanted something that she could snuggle with at night, particularly after one of her nightmares in which she was still apparating over to Fin’s mansion in the middle of the night to crawl into his bed for comfort. They were getting older and while he hadn’t said as much aloud yet, Dora could sense that it was time for her to find another way of dealing with the haunting image of her father disapproving of her life’s choices from beyond the grave. The nightmares had been bad enough while the man was alive but after his death Dora’s subconscious had managed to outdo itself and really put her frail little nerves through the ringer. Luckily she only had these intense nightmares once a month or so, but she always found it difficult to fall back asleep afterwards. Having Fin, or now hopefully a cuddling cat or dog to snuggle with at night allowed her to feel at peace.
Last month her attempt at not bothering Fin in the dead of night resulted in a very deep cut on her thigh that she had had to go to St Mungo’s to get taken care of. She hadn’t bothered mentioning her midnight trip to the hospital to any of her friends, for fear they would find out about her little habit and she wasn’t strong enough to cope with that yet. Instead, Dora made up some line about a kitchen accident and the healer bought it since her other scars had been properly concealed with a vanity charm and, thankfully, he seemed to be a pretty young healer which meant he hadn’t seen all the tricks the older, more experienced healers would have caught on to straight away. Dora had been lucky with the hospital trip and thinking of a replacement for Fin besides a cutting charm that might help her at night. Hopefully the answer would be a cute, fluffy pet and she would only have need to climb into Fin’s bed for friendlier reasons.
Pulling her cloak tight around her, Dora walked down the busy London street towards the pet shop her nanny used to take her to as a young girl. Little Dora had always loved watching the puppies scramble over each other in a bid for attention, but her father had never permitted her to have a pet of her own, saying her owning a horse was a pet enough, but you couldn’t snuggle with a horse, no matter how much Dora had loved the creature. A little bell over the door rang as Dora stepped inside. She was immediately assaulted by the smell of wood shavings which were bagged and piled near the front of the shop with a sign that said they were used to line the bottom of hamster cages and were on sale. She weaved through the aisles, avoiding the rodent section as she had absolutely no interest in owning a rat or mice. She firmly believed in paying people to keep such creatures out of your home and she didn’t understand why anyone would ever want to pay someone to own one as a pet.
After looking at all the kittens on offer, she decided they were a tad too lazy for her liking. Dora liked being outdoors and while she wasn’t the sort to go hiking or anything like that, she did love a nice stroll through the park and these cats didn’t seem up that. A dog, she determined, was probably a better fit but of course it would have to be a small breed which meant the adorable chow chow puppy she had been snuggling for the past several minutes would not be the dog she brought home today. After asking the shop owner a million questions, Dora finally left the shop with a tiny mixed terrier with wispy white hair and big eyes to match her own.
“Are you sure you don’t want some help with all of that, miss?” the shop keep asked once more as he held the door open for her and Dora headed out with her new pup on a leash and several oversized bags full of everything she would need to make her new doggie comfortable at home. “Thank you, no. I’m just going down the way.” That was true, in a way.
Struggling to keep the bags in her arms and holding tightly to the lead, Dora walked past only a few shops before sidestepping into a narrow alley way. “You require just about as many accessories as I do,” she said affectionately to the pup who tugged on the leash in a desire to continue walking. Finding that she and her puppy were very much alone in the little alley, Dora lifted her skirt and revealed her wand which was held to her thigh with a pink garter. “Watch this,” she told the little dog, who barked excitedly as Dora banished all of her shopping bags to her flat in Wales. They disappeared with a little pop and the puppy went wild, jumping all over the dirty alley ground where the bags had just been. “Come on,” she said with a smile to her new furry friend, replacing her wand in her garter and smoothing her skirt to lay flat, “let’s go show you off in the park.” A few city blocks later and Dora and Mimosa (Mimi for short) crossed the street with a happy little bound and began their stroll through one of London’s many lovely parks.

One might not have expected to see such a prominent pureblood such as Lucius Malfoy out in the world, mixing with muggles but that was exactly what he was doing today. Not exactly mixing with muggles though, he was walking among them getting from point A to point B through a quaint little park where owners were letting their dogs run amuck, sniffing at one another's arses in greeting and chasing after balls. Occasionally Lucius thought dogs were much better behaved than some children. His own children would never act like some he'd seen or grown up with but he expected he would make a rather fantastic father and Narcissa, if she were able to put her head on straight, would someday make and incredible mother, however for the time being and the foreseeable future, Narcissa would not be a mother to a living child, it would be more than she could handle to carry another life inside of her again, after all, what if they lost the next child in much the same manner as Carina? Lucius wasn't sure if he himself could suffer another loss like that. His daughter's passing had taken quite a toll and what was more the whole of the wizarding world knew about it and pity was showered down upon the mourning couple. No wonder Narcissa had locked herself in her room for months.
The park was rather glorious in the sun. Lucius had one of his ark navy blue business suits on and walked with purpose along the path. The area he was walking through was rather better off than some locations around London and what was more a very pretty site struck his eyes. Slim and pale, dark haired and well poised. Lucius would have known that figure anywhere, despite the cloak the hung around her shoulders, keeping him from appreciating her dainty little frame as well as he ought to have been.
Picking up his pace a little Lucius pushed his hands into his navy, Italian woollen twill coat until he was level with Euphadora Parkinson. "Why Miss Parkinson," He said smoothly, his voice deep yet inviting, "What on Earth brings you and your little companion to the parks of Muggle London?" He enquired. London during the day was not such a bad place to be although it made it easier to spot the riff raff that someone of her standing ought not be around. Lucius was well aware of her financial standings in the world - it was common knowledge and a laughing point for some - but she was a Parkinson, she had some of the purist blood around and was even able to keep hold of the title of one of the Sacred 28. While she may have been at the lower end of the spectrum Lucius was surprised that no one had snatched her up. Young, beautiful and no family drama's to have to contend with other than her mother, who Lucius believed could be easily rid of for the right price. Surely there was some lower family, not in the Sacred 28, that would be willing to give darling Euphadora a life worthy of her name in exchange for her hand in marriage to booster their own name, or even take her surname as their own, purely for the strong reputation it had once held. All that malarky with her parents and then death of her father was nothing to be put off by, after all, Parkinson had survived worse in its time, all families had.

She was a little bit ruined a beautiful disaster but she was magic
The weather was rather lovely and it was so nice to be able to stroll along the pathway that weaved through the lawns with her new little puppy tugging at its lead, trying excitedly to take in everything it could. They pair passed by a pond with several ducks swimming in the water and a small cluster of children standing at the edge, throwing stale bread for them. Mimi barked wildly and pulled on the leash, trying desperately to chase after the ducks who hardly seemed to notice her at all from this distance. Dora held tight and didn’t allow her new puppy to get away from her, laughing at how the adorable, wild white hairs on the tip of Mimosa’s ears shook frantically as the dog barked. Tugging a little firmer on the lead, Dora guided the pup away from the enticing ducks.
A deep, seductive drawl came sounded just behind her and Dora’s turned her head to see Lucius Malfoy falling in step next to her on the path. She beamed at the sight of him. He was utterly delicious and she’d fancied him for the longest time now. It was a shame he was married, she would really have loved to have the chance to slide between his sheets for a little fun. It made it all the more appealing as he walked through the lovely park in a sodding gorgeous suit that fit him perfectly as if it was made for him. It probably was. The Malfoys were rather wealthy, though she wasn’t sure just how wealthy, where he fell on the ladder. She knew that her family was near the middle for most of her life, and now they were practically the bottom rung. Fin’s family was closer to the top, as was Livia’s, though neither held a candle to the Lestranges. Everyone knew they were the wealthiest family in Britain, possibly all of Europe. But whether Lucius’ lot ranked above or below Fin’s, Dora wasn’t sure. What she did know was that Lucius had enough money to make a girl’s head turn, and the looks to make her want to drop her panties.
“Hello Lucius,” she purred, her body being tugged unexpectedly forward as Mimi caught sight of some muggle teenagers throwing a frisbee and attempted to chase after the flying disc. She pulled the lead, her steps slowing and soon coming to a stop as she stooped down to scoop her tiny dog up into her arms. “My little companion, actually. I’ve just picked her up from the shop across the way. Isn’t she precious?” Dora cooed, pressing the doggy to her chest and giving her a nuzzle then holding her up so that Lucius could meet her properly. “I’ve named her Mimosa,” she explained.

Dora's voice was practically an invite into her knickers, a satisfied smirk crossed Lucius' lips as he walked along side the petite little dark haired beauty. She was always so floaty in her movements as though she was walking on clouds. She was raised a lady and despite the difficult times her family was putting her through, it showed. She was well dressed and well manicured, she was the sort of girl you could feel comfortable slipping your arm around as you strolled through the park. She was proper and attractive, her blood was some of the purist. Lucius would not complain to be in her company and if he was single he wouldn't mind taking her out on a date, being seen with her in public. She was the flirty sort, he'd seen her behaviour around other men and experienced it a time or two himself, but right now he wasn't able to just slip his arm around her as they walked, and he wasn't able to reciprocate any flirting but he'd certainly enjoy it. Perhaps someday he and Miss Parkinson could take any sort of flirting to a private chamber somewhere and see just where such talk would lead.
Precious was certainly an interesting word for the little pooch Dora was walking through the muggle park in the middle of the day. It rather suited Dora to have a little dog, something she could show off and accessories with. She was single, as far as Lucius was aware, and she was childless. There was no suitor lined up for her and so with absolutely no commitments it made sense to fill the inevitable void that must have had hold of her in life. The loss of her brother and father too would have been a big upset to her situation, then to have her mother turn her back on her ... well there weren't many people in their circle that would treat their heirs the way the Parkinsons had. "She most certainly is." He smiled at the little dog, his hands behind his back, keeping respectable mannerisms around Miss Parkinson, after all there was no telling just who might be paying close attention to the pair. "It's an absolute pleasure, Miss Mimosa." Lucius bowed his head to the little pup, curious a little about the name choice but not up for the conversation behind such a choice, instead he straightened up and looked to Dora, "Any plans for the day?" He asked, turning his body, ready to continue walking the second Dora decided she was ready. It would be unseemly to leave a woman of her standing alone in a muggle park.

She was a little bit ruined a beautiful disaster but she was magic
Dora managed to rein in the gigantic smile that wanted to break free on her face as Lucius greeted Mimosa as if she were a proper lady and not just an adorable little pup. Dora gave an amused grin instead as she patted Mimi on the head and then stooped down once more to let the pooch walk along beside them. Dora raised herself to her full height, increased a few inches thanks to her tall heels, and smoothed the skirt of her dress with her hands. Lucius was asking about her plans for the day, and her feet began moving forward as she thought about the answer to his question. “Well,” she mused aloud, then gave a little laugh. “I guess I hadn’t really thought of much beyond finding a little furry companion. I’ve work later, but that’s several hours off still.” She brushed a curl behind her ear as she looked at the handsome blond man beside her. Dora’s shift started at nine, and being that it was a weekday she knew it would be a rather slow night. She would bring books with her during weeknight shifts, and while taking her breaks she would read. Sometimes she would read about various household charms that she was still attempting to master (completely ignoring the fact that it was basically like studying which she had loathed while in school) but more often than not it was suspense novels that kept her from rapping her fingers into oblivion on the bar top out of boredom.
A cool breeze blew at their backs, kicking up the hem of Dora’s cloak and blowing her hair forward into her face. She brushed her curls back into place effortlessly and allowed her eyes to travel up the length of Lucius’ tailored suit before reaching his eyes. “And what of your plans, Lucius? Have you anything exciting going on to make me jealous of my boring plans for the day?” If he didn’t have anywhere to be, Dora could suggest a few places that might interest him, particularly between her legs but alas he was married and he probably wasn’t up for that sort of thing. A girl could dream though.

Ah work, something not a lot of people knew Lucius did. As far as the world was aware Lucius was heir to a great fortune and that was about all, money was coming in from somewhere but anyone that would look and really, truly look, would only find investments made for the wealthy blonde on his behalf. If one really knew how to look then they might find that Lucius was involved in a lot more than just being rich and living a lavish lifestyle. Lucius had money coming from other, illegal means and it was kept entirely hush hush. His father's business was one he was now head of. He had been for a couple of years since Abraxas Malfoy had handed over the reigns in secret retirement. It wasn't a business Lucius would ever speak of and he never partook in talk of any such business. His father had not raised a fool. Lucius was cautious, not just because he could potentially land his arse in Azkaban but because if he was sentenced to Azkaban then what would happen to Cissa? She was fragile enough as it was, he couldn't take even the slightest risk that he could cause her more distress, something that would potentially kill her. Little Miss Parkinson, however, had a job to get by in life, something she could openly talk about although Lucius was fairly certain she might not fancy talking about being a waitress or bartender or whatever it was she did for Fin. Rumours had it she was his whore to boot but Lucius didn't buy in to nonsense like that, Finley was more than capable of finding a woman, he didn't need to pay some down on her luck young woman, and Lucius wasn't even sure if Euphadora was the sort to sell herself, sure she was relatively poor now and she was always flirting, but that didn't mean she was any sort of whore.
Lucius chuckled lightly at Dora, shaking his head just a little, a small smile resting on his lips, "Not at all, rather boring day myself actually. Just catching up with an old friend with some awful halitosis but I'm running a little early." He informed her. "It can be quite a pain having to deal with family friends." He told her, especially the ones with the worst smelling breath you could imagine. Lucius supposed Dora would have her fair share of patrons with bad breath, but if she wanted a little tip then she'd put on a smile anyway. Lucius thought that perhaps he might head out with the lads one night and pay Dora a visit while she was working. She seemed the type to offer service with a smile, and potentially a glimpse of her backside in a skirt the rode up as she bent over to fetch a drink from low storage, certainly something worth a decent tip but most certainly not any form of whoring herself out, at least not in Lucius' humble opinion but then what did he know? He'd never hired a whore before, he didn't have a need to.

She was a little bit ruined a beautiful disaster but she was magic
Talking about her work as a bartender wasn’t something Dora was really keen on doing. She never hid it from anyone who knew, it wasn’t as though she pretended with her friends that she didn’t have a job – and such a lowly service job such as this one. Certainly Fin knew as he was her employer and boss, not to mention her best friend, but Liv knew as well, and a handful of other pureblooded witches and wizards that she hung about with, most of whom she had grown close to while at school and who had played witness to her family’s fall from grace first hand. Lucius wasn’t really a close friend, but he was close enough to the people who knew Dora and the Parkinsons to know what had happened in her life and exactly how far she had fallen. There was no need to hide her work from him, though if he ever came into the club on a night she was working, well that would be another level of embarrassment for the petite brunette. Acknowledging that your father swindled the wealthy out of their money and paid for it with his life was one thing, serving one of the hottest men in the united kingdom from behind a bar while your shoes stuck to the spilled liquor on the floor and your face was shiny from the sweat of working your arse off to make a few extra tips to be able to afford drinks out with your girlfriends once a month was simply more than she could bear to think about. Were he to ever picture her in his mind, she would much prefer him to visual an imagine like he saw before him now; leisurely and smiling brightly, a sparkle in her eye that showed the dark times were a thing of the past (for this week, at least), and her hair and makeup flawlessly executed to perfectly accent the outfit she had picked out for the day. If Lucius Malfoy ever closed his eyes and fantasized about Dora, let it be this image that excited him.
Dora was no stranger to dealing with people with bad breath. They got all sorts at the Starlight, though the bouncers did a fairly decent job of ensuring most everyone met the standards Fin was looking for in clientele, but every once in a while there would be some bloke who looked delicious and when he opened his mouth it made the staff sick. “Add a touch of Angelica root to his drink, that ought to make it more tolerable,” she suggested effortlessly. It was a trick one of the other bartenders had shown her a while back and despite her loathing having to be of the working class, Dora actually picked things up rather quickly. What she wanted to pick up, however, was her modeling career which seemed to be going nowhere quickly.

How to deal with halitosis really wasn't something Lucius was after. He wouldn't even begin to think of how he might slip a little Angelica root into someones drink and honestly, he could just keep his distance. It was far easier. He would only have to be close to shake hands. That was once for hello and once for a farewell, so long as they parted on good terms. The type of person he was seeing today it could be a rather questionable meeting that might not go the way either one of them was hoping, but Lucius had been dealing with the fellow now since he'd graduated Hogwarts so he was used to what the outcomes could be and able to usually smooth over any disagreements while they were still in business mode. "Angelica root? Hmm." He mused, "I bet you keep a little something behind the bar for the not so pleasant patrons." He said, a slight smirk, eyeing her a little. Undoubtedly a boring conversation for her so he'd get off the subject before she felt that talking to him was all about reminding her of how lowly she was these days, not that Lucius thought of her as lowly, but having such a job as she had was not something you could proudly advertise.
"Enough about work though, I'm sure you don't want to think about it in your free time." Which would be more than fair, eh wouldn't want to talk about his business either, not that many people knew he had any sort of a job, everything he did was very hush-hush. Narcissa of course knew, but Lucius preferred to keep her out of it, she didn't need to know anything. The less she knew if he ever got caught, the better for herself. He loved his wife dearly, he didn't want for her to get caught up in anything untoward, not that Lucius ever had plans to get caught, he played things safe, only meeting with people when he had to. "Tell me more about your plans with little Mimosa." He said, turning the conversation on to something far more pleasing than work, "Going to sign her up for any puppy training classes?" because Dora was cute, she did not need a ferocious little dog keeping away potential husbands. She was still young, only about twenty if he was getting his maths about right, she still had time to find someone and lock them down, but there was no way she'd be able to find someone suitable with a yappy, aggressive little thing nipping away at ankles. A puppy was cute, to some, but as she grew she'd only become more undesirable and now he wasn't sure if he was thinking of the dog or Dora. Cute for now but she'd better hurry along or her heydays would be over and gone in the blink of an eye and this temporary slump she'd found herself in would become more permanent.

She was a little bit ruined a beautiful disaster but she was magic
Dora hadn’t given much thought to the idea of getting Mimosa any training lessons. In fact, she hadn’t given it a single thought. This whole endeavor was rather half-cocked, and she hadn’t made a single plan outside of purchasing something fluffy today. Now that she had this darling little doggy she would soon find there were many more items to concern herself with, beyond just puppy training. A dawning expression crossed her beautiful features as Mimi tugged again at the leash, fighting to get free of the restraint and go play with a family of ducks that seemed to want nothing to do with the barking pup. “I guess I hadn’t thought about it.” Dora tugged on the leash to pull Mimi in closer to her. “She does need a few charm lessons I suppose,” she simpered, effortlessly flirting with the delicious married man.
Having an ill-behaved pet was not something Dora had considered, though now that Lucius pointed it out, in an innocent, non-accusatory manner, Dora couldn’t help but hear every high-pitched yip as a deafening bark. She would certainly need to put a silencing spell around her flat, puppy training would be a must. She simply couldn’t have a rowdy pup. It wouldn’t be becoming of a woman of the station Dora was hoping to one day join. She couldn’t marry a Malfoy as the only one available was not actually available at all, being married and all, but there were other high society purebloods that she might catch the eye of one day. A long day off, surely, but one day perhaps it could happen. It wouldn’t be a marriage for love but there had to be something Dora could offer as a wife. She didn’t know what, but whatever her secret allure was, it would only be overshadowed by a poorly trained companion.

"Charm lessons" was a cute little way of phrasing such a task. Training a dog, Lucius believed, was rather simple. They were obedient creatures that longed to be ordered about so as to please their master, although Dora's little pup certainly seemed a little more excited than Lucius had ever been used to. He was no expert on dogs really but he was certain that young Miss Parkinson wouldn't want to be scaring off any suitors anytime soon so she'd see to it her dog was aptly trained. "I'm positive she'll become endearing in no time at all, after all she'll be learning from the best." He smiled, meaning Dora. She was rather cute and endearing in Lucius' opinion and if it struck his fancy perhaps he might see if there was someone he might urge her way. She was in need of a husband and sooner rather than later. She and Fin didn't seem to be doing anything with regards to their relationship so Lucius could only assume they were incompatible one way or another.
With Lucius' "meeting" not all that far off he supposed he'd best be on his way soon. He still had a little time and rather enjoyed Dora's company. She was an easy going kind of girl and he meant that in all the ways possible. He knew she had a bit of a reputation but she was young, barely out of Hogwarts really, she needed some fun but now life was becoming serious and Dora would be expected, someday, to have an heir for a pureblood husband, someone that sided with the Dark Lord and carried out his bidding. Dora was a girl with her head on straight but with her parents being who they were - or had been in the case of her father - she had no one looking out for her to find her a husband, and while Lucius genuinely did enjoy her company, she wasn't exactly wife material. She needed someone to give her a push in the right direction and to arrange something. Something her parents truly should have sorted for her but alas, the situation was what it was. "How is your mother these days? Last I heard she was a little under the weather." Of course the rumour mill was churning and it wasn't so much that she was ill in the traditional sense, such as a bug, but more the self inflicted kind with far too much wine to numb whatever pain she had inevitably brought upon herself.

She was a little bit ruined a beautiful disaster but she was magic
Merlin, Lucius Malfoy was suave. He could charm the knickers off a straight man, if he so chose to. It was such a shame he was already married, and to a barren witch no less, if the rumors circulating had any truth to them. Dora had never had any pregnancy scares herself, so for all she knew she too could be barren but the idea of that problem affecting her at this time in her life was completely moot. She didn’t want to have babies anytime soon, and she would definitely need to be married before even considering it. There was loads of time for Dora, but the idea that she could possibly give Lucius something his own wife seemed unable to give him was a tantalizing one.
Lucius effortlessly complimented Dora, making her cheeks flush pink as she simpered. The change in her coloring was easily noticeable against her dark hair and usually pale complexion. “Oh? So you’ll be training her, then?” She petted Lucius’ arm and gave him a flirty smile, letting her fingers rest on his tailored cuff for a moment longer than was necessary. “That ought to be fun.” She was teasing, and the little giggle that followed her words expressed as much. Unless he was completely daft – which he had every right to be, looking that bloody delicious – Lucius would be able to pick up that she was in no way serious. And if he was that daft, then Dora would have no qualms about entertaining him should he show up to her flat for Mimi’s first lesson.
Mimosa pranced alongside her new owner and Dora and Lucius strolled through the park. There were more people than she would have expected to be out in February, but the word ‘crowded’ certainly could not be applied to their situation. It was a rather lovely day and Dora could have thought of a thousand worse companions than her current one to be walking alongside. Looking lazily off into the distance, her simple smile faltered at the mention of her mum. “It’s been a difficult few years for her,” she answered diplomatically, her eyes looking toward her feet as she spoke. “She’ll be pleased you asked after her. I’ll be sure to mention it next I see her,” though Dora had no idea when that would be. Aside from walking down the street of her mother’s new flat and trying to catch a glimpse of the home she was barred from, Dora hadn’t seen her mum in the longest time. She was working up the courage to actually knock on the door but had not had much luck as of yet. It wasn’t the easiest thing for a daughter to do – that’s what Dora kept telling herself every time she chickened out.

Lucius let out a soft chuckle as Dora called him charming in return. Honestly, what was there not to like about Dora? She was witty and bright and her family's bloodline was nothing to turn your nose up at. Lucius was convinced there was something off about her parents and it was a tragedy that had befallen her brother, but Dora had high spirits, she was jovial and a pleasure to be around. She was straight up sexy too. She was always impeccably dressed and Lucius knew if he didn't have somewhere to be and if she didn't have her little companion, then they'd have had an absolutely splendid time with one another in some five star hotel at his expense. If Narcissa didn't start showing signs of forgiving him for whatever it was he had done, then perhaps he would seek out the company of Miss Parkinson for an evening of pleasure. Order room service, have some fun and then leave her with the room for the night while he retired to his empty bed.
"Do, and pass on my regards. We all know she's been through a lot and I'd hate for her to think that she's been forgotten." He smiled politely, not really caring too much with regards to Dora's mother. The woman was okay but it was quite obvious the way in which Mr and Mrs Parkinson had neglected their children and now one, the son that would have carried on the Parkinson name, was deceased, leaving Dora to pretty much fend for herself. Well Lucius would see to it that Dora was looked after one way or another. Fin was a friend of hers and often helped her out and Lucius was willing to offer help in anyway that he could. So perhaps hooking up for an evening would be a mistake. "Ah, the time has come that I must make my way to visit my friend. We should catch up properly sometime, you should come over for some tea," Although Narcissa probably wouldn't like that, "Or we could go out for something a little stronger." That would be better, maybe grab Fin to make sure nothing else happened while he was drinking his sorrows away.

She was a little bit ruined a beautiful disaster but she was magic
If Rebekah Parkinson ever felt forgotten, Dora was quite positive the world would stop spinning. Dora was having a shit time with moving on from her family’s sorrows, and there was no doubt that her mum had been through a lot, but if the woman wasn’t already out there trying to pick up the pieces of her shattered life by falling into bed with every eligible bachelor the wrong side of forty, then Dora would really have been gobsmacked. Dora enjoyed the spotlight. She loved being the center of everyone’s attention, and that was a trait she inherited directly from her mother. Of all those times Dora stood outside her mum’s flat, trying to muster the courage to let her presence be known, Rebekah Parkinson was probably off at least half the time, flirting sans knickers with some old man in a foreign country where her husband’s exploits were not as well known. Dora kept these horrid thoughts from showing on her face and instead she forced another smile and gave a polite nod of gratitude.
Soon enough Lucius was saying goodbye. Dora had no idea how long they’d been chatting, though it didn’t feel like very long at all. She didn’t wear a watch as it would have clashed with her outfit, but she had no plans for the day beyond fetching her new little pup so there wasn’t much need of a timepiece. “I’d love that,” she grinned broadly at his suggestion they get together again soon. “Anywhere but the Starlight.” Her pearly white teeth glistened. “Owl me,” she said casually, giving Lucius a small wink and a flirty smile before turning her attention on Mimosa and saying, “come on, Mimi. Let’s see what other handsome men we can run into today,” loud enough that Lucius most certainly heard her as she and the pup walked off in the opposite direction, making sure to give her hips an extra little wiggle as she sauntered off.

Oh she was naughty. Lucius watched a little as Dora strolled away, a little wiggle to her hips, enticing anyone that looked in her direction. She knew exactly what she was doing and Lucius enjoyed it. Still he was a married man, out in public and it was time to head on to his meeting. Dora had been a charming distraction for a while but he had to tame his mind, focus it on business and not the bouncing locks of raven black hair. Dora was pushed to the far reaches of his mind, sat somewhere around the same place as Narcissa. He could see Narcissa and Dora getting on well some day, should Narcissa ever pull herself out of that slump she refused to allow him in on. There was only so much a husband could do for his wife and while it pained him, he had needs, needs he would see to when he could wait no longer and his wife, in her pit of depression, could never know.
Lucius took to the path needed to get him to his destination and thought only of what was in store for him this afternoon. He put up a barrier, separating the women in his life from the work he had ahead of him and he knew that in order to be the best businessman he could possibly be, he had to have no distractions. Easily done. Shutting himself off from his feelings and emotions Lucius went ahead with his little meeting and got himself a hot little deal. Perhaps a little more forcefully than he would have liked but then some people needed that extra push and as he settled with a scotch in his hand as he looked around his study, he found his mind drifting back to Dora once more and the discreet fun he might one day have with her.
