Well no, Jasper supposed one wouldn't necessarily plan to ride on this wretched bus. He certainly hadn't and he'd been too embarrassed to tell the conductor his calling of the bus had been a mistake, after all despite the horrid job that they did, they were still doing a job and the idea of wasting anyone's time wasn't one that sat well with Jasper. He had multiple businesses to run, some of which had been neglected, and he himself was a Healer by trade so he knew that time was a precious commodity. You could have all the time turners in the world and time would still be a gift, at least in Jasper's eyes. He'd seen young lives lost, time stolen from people that truly didn't deserve it, some suffered, some didn't but it was always a sadness, especially for the loved ones left behind, the ones whose lives were forever affected.
Jasper smiled as Dora explained where she'd been. A new baby was cause for joy and it was good that Dora's mother was pleased to be a grandmother soon. The family had certainly suffered quite a few losses so a baby was a beautiful little addition. Dora seemed well and pregnancy seemed to give her a more pinky colour that made her glow rather than looking sickly, which a few women experienced, although Jasper and his wife had never experienced the joys of pregnancy, despite him believing they'd been trying. "Ha ha." He chuckled sarcastically at her comments of him being pregnant, "I'm just off to The Three Broomstick. I fancied paying Hogsmeade a visit." He smiled, perhaps looking a little sheepish due to his mistake of summoning the Knight Bus when he'd not needed it in the first place, but he was avoiding her comment of better travel options and hoping she'd not enquire again because he honestly wasn't sure if he could come up with a lie under pressure.

It took a little while but the bus did actually stop, as in came to a full halt. As soon as the words had left his lips and the offer given, the bus came to a sudden halt, jolting the paying customers of the Knight Bus about in a most unceremonious manner. Jasper glared down towards the driver but he didn't seem to notice and Jasper wasn't going to speak up now that his request had been acknowledged and fulfilled. Still he moved quickly, along with Dora who held on to him, and knew that the second her backside touched the seat that the driver would be off again, expecting his gold coin whenever Jasper got off the hell bus. He'd been on for a couple of stops and the bus wasn't exactly empty, so he wasn't sure how long his journey would be, he just knew he'd probably be getting off around about the same time as Dora.
Jasper could easily related to Dora's hate of the bus and as expected as soon as she was sat, the bus set off again with no regards for the fact that he was still standing and Dora hadn't even been given the chance to get comfortable. Jasper took a seat next to Dora and chuckled at her comment. "No, though if she knew you were taking this wretched bus, she might." He commented. He knew that sometimes there was no other option, and in Dora's condition she was extremely limited on how she could travel long distances in a timely manner, but still, his sister would not like her friend travelling alone on the Knight Bus in her condition, heck Jasper didn't like it. "Off anywhere nice?" He asked, wanting to put forth an effort to make friendly conversation.

Late. Was that so unusual? Not really. Jasper was always behind schedule, even when he started getting ready hours earlier he still managed to run late, never really getting anywhere on time. It had been a long while since Jasper had decided to go out but he had supposed he'd best make an effort for Dorcas' birthday or he'd never hear the end of it, not that she'd notice if he was there or not by the end of the night because she'd be so gone that she wouldn't be able to stand on her own two feet. Just so long as she didn't get up on a bar or table and try dancing they'd be safe.
Jasper got to the club and spotted the group on the dance floor. He wished Dorcas a happy birthday but she hardly seemed to realise who he was. It seemed it didn't really matter if he'd turned up at all or not, she was already fairly wasted. All he could do was laugh and get himself a drink then join in the fun, however by the time he got back from the bar, having had a shot to catch up just a little but by the time he got back to the dance floor hell was breaking out. He sighed, gulping back some of his pint while Geralina literally put herself in the middle of the fighting women. Jasper coughed as a little of his drink went down the wrong way and the other woman and her partner went off to wherever Geralina had pointed, spouting out nonsense of free drinks. Jasper made his way over to Geralina as Dorcas seemed distracted. "I always miss out on the fun." He joked, hoping Geralina wasn't already fed up with the night to just disappear. He'd only just gotten there and hadn't yet socialised with anyone beyond an awkward greeting with a drunk dancing Dorcas.

Jasper was not punctual. He never had been. It was quite possibly one of his biggest flaws but it made him lovable, right? Jasper wasn't sure as he scurried around the house, getting his bits and bobs together. Ebony had always kept him running on time. Merlin knew how she did it, she had been magical in that way. It was strange to Jasper, he had no idea how she could bring him such anger and rage and yet he was still able to look back and remember how perfectly she fit into his life. In his mind it was almost as if there were two different Ebony's, one that was his wife and another that was a complete slut that he was glad had died. That was perhaps a little harsh, far harsher than Jasper's thoughts usually were, but it was like his wife was two separate people and he felt very differently about the both of them. One he loved, the other he never wanted to think of ever again, but he couldn't compartmentalise like that, they were both the same woman which made his wife a heartless, conniving witch.
Leaving his home with a pop Jasp arrived outside of Leo's place. He could hear chatter carrying over the house and he could smell the BBQ. He opened the front door and let himself in and was met with the sound of chatter. He smiled a little to himself, it was a good feeling to be back out and socialising. There was a time after Ebony's death where he'd shut himself away. Many people believed it was because he missed his wife, he'd only confided in Leo of what his wife's true nature had been. "Hey." He called to Leo as he entered and made his way over to his friend. Jasper held out a blue gift bag that he'd carried with him, it just had a bottle of rum inside but it was better than the standard gift of a bottle of wine, Leo had plenty of that, what he didn't have plenty of was Black Tot. Not the most expensive of Rums, it didn't even cost a half grand of galleons, but it held a few good memories. "A gift for the host," he chuckled, "Happy Easter, mate." He said, looking around "No Blaise this weekend?" Leo was often playing the good uncle and looking after his nephew. His sister, Kara, was a beautiful woman and smart witch, but not exactly the maternal kind.

Jasper sat in his study, pouring himself over all the financial records for Avalon. Business was down but then that was the side effect of a war. It was all well and good this Lord Voldemort bloke wanting a pureblooded society, one that that meant you would be free to practice magic wherever and whenever you wanted, but what was the cost going to be? This man had been rising to power recently, it was rumoured those in power worked for him directly, but that wasn't what concerned Jasper, what concerned Jasper was that business was slowing down. All across the wizarding world people were becoming more and more concerned with what lay outside their own front door which meant an awful lot of people choosing to stay home rather than risk any sort of unnecessary travel. That hurt business and not just his own, there were plenty of people up and down the magical streets that were missing out on business and there seemed to be no promises made that would ensure their livelihoods would be protected. Even if there were such a promise made, by anyone, how would one even go about believing it?
Jasper was fed up of devoting himself to failing businesses for the day so he pushed himself away from his desk with a huge sigh, as though that would help him leave his worries but it wouldn't, they'd always be in the back of his mind no matter where he went. As he left his study he heard the front doors open and a cooing come from the front of the house. Jasper was headed that way but before he could get too far, a dove flew before him, hovering until he took the extravagant invitation attached to its leg. Once the white bird was free of it's duty, it cooed once and then flew off back through the house and out an open window in the kitchen, meanwhile Jasper was looking over the invite. An ivory envelope with gold and lavender embellishments covering it. Clearly far too much thought had been placed into the envelope and Jasper was willing to bet the invite inside was just as painfully extravagant. He broke the seal on the back, lavender wax with the Lestrange coat of arms pressed into it. It was far too over the top for Adolph and Ceres or even Rodolphus, so that only left Rabastan and his new bride, Lilith.
Jasper shoved the invite into his pocket after reading it. There was a strange sensation in his chest, a lot of feelings rising that he’d not felt for a while. He disliked all this business, he had done for a while. These invites were never addressed to just him, it was always him and a guest. Once upon a time these invites had been for himself and his wife, Mr and Mrs Flint, but not any more, now they were only for him and whoever he'd like to take and Jasper wasn't all that sure there was anyone he wanted to take. He wasn't interested in pursuing romantic relationships as of yet, he wasn't sure he could ever be ready for such a thing after what it turned out his wife had been doing behind his back. Jasper was certain it was going to cause instant trust issues in whatever relationship he entered next so why bother having relationship at all if you couldn't be sure you could trust someone?
Jasper stepped out of his home, lost in his thoughts of all the men his wife had been with. A lot of those names he hadn't known but a few he certainly had. Part of him had expected to see Rodolphus' name somewhere on the list, the man shagged everything that moved, but apparently he hadn't shagged Ebony so that was good he supposed. He was retreated enough from his friends these days, it probably wasn't wise to pull away even more, not that he and Roddy were all that close, but Jasp still considered him a friend.
Looking about Jasper realised he'd gone for quite the wander. He pulled his pocket watch out of his pocket and it dropped, landing on the ground and rolling into a bush. Jasper muttered under his breath and pulled out his wand, not dare wanting to put his hand into a dark bush without being able to see what was in there. He'd taken Defence Against the Dark Arts, Herbology, and Care of Magical Creatures in school, he knew all too well what could bloody well be lurking inside of some innocent looking shrubbery! Lighting the end of his wand with a simple spell, Jasp pointed his wand toward the bush. Nothing jumped out or grabbed at the wand so he lent over. He saw a glint of gold, knowing that he was well within reach of his pocket watch, although it looked rather muddy. Without taking his gaze from his pocket watch he swapped his wand to his left hand and pulled out a handkerchief from his left breast pocket. Bending closer Jasper reached for the chain the pocket watch was on and grabbed it successfully. He stood himself upright, left arm and wand out stretched to keep his balance as he rose. He took a few steps away from the bushes, focused upon his pocket watch. It was smashed and utterly disgusting to look at. At least, he supposed, he hadn't had to reach too far into the bushes and nothing disgusting had tried to kill him, so that was pleasant enough.
Turning around to face the road Jasper figured he'd walk home rather than apparate, he was only five minutes, if that but before he could start walking he heard a noise. He looked to his left hand where he held his wand and realised it was still well lit. "Bollocks." As soon as he was finished with his curse the large, purple Knight Bus was parked inches from his feet in front of him. Jasper sighed and turned the light at the end of his wand off and proceeded to tuck his wand away with one hand while the other folded the dirty and broken pocket watch into the handkerchief. Well where in the bloody hell was he going to go now? He wondered. He couldn't ask to be taken home because it was literally seconds away. He approached the bus, panicking about where he could say he wanted to be taken. He stepped on board, offering a halfhearted smile, "The, uh, the Three Broomsticks, thank you gentlemen." He said, shoving the covered pocket watch away into a pocket and then fumbling around for some money, passing it to the boy and getting a ticket in return. Grabbing on to a rail just in time, the bus lurched forward sending Jasper stumbling towards the back of the bus, keeping himself upright only thanks to the rail he had a hold of.
The bus zig zagged this way and that. Jasper sat and held on for dear life before the bus stopped again. He hadn't even had chance to pull out his pocket watch to inspect it and fix it up when a familiar raven-haired woman stepped on board the Bus. Dora; someone he'd met a few times when she'd spent time with his one and only sister, Alice. Jasper hoped the bloody thing wouldn't take off on her the way it had on him when he'd gotten on but there was no luck, the bus did what it did and Dora managed to keep herself upright. Jasper felt terrible for her. She was in no position for the bloody bus driver to be tossing her about this way and that so he stood, holding a pole, "Dora." He said, taking a few steps forward while the bus lurched this way and that, "For Merlin's sake, Prang!" He shouted towards the driver, "I'll give you a sodding galleon if you stop for five seconds and let the lady get herself a seat." He called, hoping the incentive of gold would at least slow the sodding bus down, if only for a few seconds so Dora could be seated properly before the senile codger took off again at breakneck speeds, trying to drive Dora into an early labour, something Jasper really wasn't keen on as he'd rather not get his shoes wet from the splash of waters breaking.

Lachy dated Jovi for a bit. He was the year above the girls and always a total moron, but his family had a decent amount of gold and he has a hot body so Jovi was interested for about three months before she dumped him and moved on to someone with a bigger bank account xD Amy would have heard about his huuuge *ahem* and all the gossip about him from Jovi.

So she had a tantrum because no one loves her and started hating on him and he’s so mature that he retaliated xD

So they used to date in school! Eris is a quiet sort of person but when she decides she likes a person, she’s not gonna beat around the bush about it. In her sixth year, his seventh, in about October she’d have approached him and asked him if he wanted to go on a date down to Hogsmeade and then from there they got close, would do homework together and cutesy things without being sickening. He took her v-card over the Christmas holidays and was super adorable and considerate. Then in about the end of April school was kicking their arses and they started seeing less and less of one another, just drifting apart. Dorian had his NEWTs coming up and Eris was bombarded with extra homework and Quidditch practice so they agreed to put things on hold until the summer holidays. Then Dorian started his training and was really focused on that so they came to the conclusion they had to end things. Dorian was becoming an Auror and Eris was starting school again in September so they weren’t going to have the chance to catch up all that often anyway. They still wrote to one another, Dorian telling her about Auror training and she’d tell him about NEWTs and Quidditch. Then around April Eris forgot to reply to one of Dorian’s owls, she was swamped with homework and quidditch that he kind of fell through the cracks and since then they’ve not seen one another again or spoken but they’d probably get on really well, especially when they find out they have bubbies almost a year apart.

Dorm mates! Salem was quiet enough that she wouldn’t have been a threat to Lyra’s limelight and she’d also have been a great person for Lyra to tell her tales to. Salem’s a great listener although in their first year her awkwardness at conversing might have come off as her being a bit of a bitch (like people would think she didn’t want to talk and was just being a cow lol) but Lyra came to like her any how and realised she’s not a bitch, just crazy awkward!

Big sister! Triss has lived in her sisters shadows for as long as she can remember. She’s incredibly smart, just like her sisters, however along came a charming face and she was willing to throw it all away, relieving herself of the pressure. Currently she’s doing well, she’s thinking of herself and what she needs to do to get through her OWLs so she’s actually behaving, but we all know that won’t last long. Deep down she does love her sisters, but right now she’s acting as though she’s indifferent to her whole family. That’ll change when she rocks up drunk on Amy’s door!

Triss started as a really good student, showed a lot of promise. She was following in her sisters footsteps until she was halfway through her fourth year. She started dating Zane Flint who was in his fifth year and things just gradually started getting worse. Triss started breaking rules and getting a lot of detentions. Perhaps Hazel had a really good chat with Triss which is why she’s not gone back to Zane after the last time and why she’s really focused on getting her grades back up. They may not be perfect like they once were but she’s at least trying and passing. She’s not in Hazel’s house but that motherly side Hazel has could be looking out for her anyway. Hazel insists they catch up once a week to discuss how she’s getting on in her lessons and gives her extra work to make up for what she’s missed.

Still, he thinks of Roddy as a friend, plus Jasper’s friends with Dorcas so he’s very encouraging of Dordy!

PERSONALITY Boggart: His wife surrounded by several men, all naked, all kinds of horrors happening ...
Mirror of Erised: Himself happy with a new wife and children. He doesn't feel ready to find love just yet but it's his deepest desire to be truly loved.
Patronus: Jasper cannot produce a patronus and his happiest memory (after marrying his wife and proposing to her became total and utter shit) was saving the life of a two year old nine years ago. Thanks to him she started Hogwarts and has written to him a few times over the years.
Jasper's a very relaxed and easy going kind of guys. He's friendly and nice company to be around. He can tolerate all manner of people and isn't as fussed about blood status as some of his peers. He's a good friend to those that take the time to get to know him and actually be his friends but to strangers he's just a nice guy that they've met at some point. He's perhaps not the most memorable of people because he doesn't make a fuss, he'd rather sit at a table with the wrong order of food than to speak up and get what he'd ordered. He definitely prefers to avoid confrontation but will deal with it head on if it turns out it's going to be unavoidable.
Having always had a love for learning Jasper found once he started school that he's actually very smart. He learnt fast, often reading his text books in the summer holidays before school even started. He would challenge himself to learn new things, learn different kinds of magic. He found dark magic particularly fascinating although it's not something he'd ever use - the boy has a conscience!
Jasper never really made any enemies, or if he did he was unaware of who they were. There is a rather long list of about thirty individuals that Jasper has a dislike of thanks to a list of his wife's he found after her death. She was the love of his life but after her betrayal Jasper lost himself a little, pulling away from functions for a while until he found his feet again. He's putting himself back out there in the world, choosing not to sit and brood although when he's home alone he can't help where his mind takes him. He's not ready for romance, he's never been particularly forward with women, but all that's happened with his wife has left him even mor unsure of the fairer sex.

Born to Henrietta and Reginald Flint Jasper was the eldest of the Flint children and made his parents proud. They had a son straight off the bat and he was treated like royalty to the couple. Jasper was their pride and joy and he always strived to be the perfect son and perfect big brother. He was soft and gentle as a child, never wanting to hurt a fly. He had such a docile nature that people were drawn to. He was a calm space in the sea of chaos in his family and he very much enjoyed talking and spending time with his family and friends.
Showing signs of magic at six years old was a relief for Jasper's parents. They were beginning to suspect that their son could quite possibly be a squib, something that had been a worry since he'd turned four and still not shown any signs of magic. Still he managed to float a teddy bear across the room in order to try and soothe his baby sister Alice and his parents realised his brand of magic was a much more caring and far simpler kind than they'd expected and that perhaps he had indeed performed such subtle magic before. They were just relieved that their worry was for nothing.
When Jasper went off to Hogwarts, and sorted into Ravenclaw, he wasn't really sure what to expect from it. He knew what the school was like from his reading and he knew he would get to see friends from all the pureblood get togethers he'd gone to his entire life, but it was still a daunting experience. Calm and collect Jasper spent his first year reading a lot, barely socialising unless it was with those he already knew. He was a whizz at Transfiguration and sought Professor McGonagall's help in advance transfiguration. By the time his seventh year finished he was a fully accomplished Animagus, transfiguring into a bumblebee of all things.
Jasper took advantage of his parents wealth and spent the first year after school travelling. He visited many countries on his little world tour before returning home and meeting the woman he believed to be the love of his life. Jasper had met Ebony Kibbit at school and always thought of her as cute and the type of girl he could see himself spending life with, but she always seemed to have a boyfriend. He wasn't one to sweep a girl off her feet if she was already seeing someone and so he'd always left her be.
The day Jasper proposed to Ebony was the day that had made his life feel like it had a purpose. He wanted to give Ebony the world. Their wedding was large and lavish, no expense spared so that she could feel like a Princess. They decided to start trying for a child as soon as possible but it didn't matter, they couldn't have children.
Regardless of his wife not being able to give him an heir, Jasper remained with Ebony knowing that the Flint name would be carried on with his brothers. He felt no pressure at all to have children and he would happily give up his rights to the family home so that one of his brothers might have it when the time came for them to start a family. Life was easy, simple, beautiful. Until the day that crushed him. The news that Ebony had been killed by a man in the streets of Knockturn Alley. Made out to sound as though she'd simply been in the wrong place at the wrong time but then more and more information was unearthed and Jasper's whole view of his wife changed dramatically.
Ebony Flint had been murdered by muggleborn wizard Daniel Stumps. The pair had gotten into a fight after being seen leaving a bar with one another, having been drinking there, fondling and groping one another in public until they were thrown out for sneaking away to the toilets together. Jasper's head was a mess. He couldn't believe what he was hearing. His wife had been out with another man, kissing, grabbing, being grabbed. Jasper refused to believe it, he had to believe that she was being attacked or just about anything else. That could not have been the case.
For the first time in their relationship, Jasper invaded her privacy. He looked through her things, hell bent on proving that his wife was innocent of cheating on him but all he found was more heart ache. She had a little black book with names and details of various men. Everything from their worth to their blood status was included as well as rankings on their looks, kissing, foreplay and intercourse. Jasper flipped through name after name, broken and devastated. He found the reason they could not have children and it was that his wife was still on birth control, no doubt to stop herself being unsure of whose child she might be carrying.
That was the first time in Jasper's life that he ever felt real rage. He lashed out at everything around him, breaking priceless pieces of art, punching holes in walls until he felt nothing in his knuckles and his hands ran red with blood. He was a broken man, his reality had been twisted beyond recognition but he carried on. He carried on for his mother whom he was always close with, and for his father who had become quite unwell. He moved back home, taking over as the head of the family as his fathers health deteriorated rapidly. He took over the family business having been raised to do so anyway, it had always just been expected that it wouldn't be for ten or so more years. Putting his life as a Healer on hold, Jasper began looking over all that the family owned and controlled, getting everything in line and good order so that when his father's passing comes, as it inevitably will, he will be prepared with a smooth transition.
