Lilith ran her fingers delicately over the boomslang skin, barely touching it at all. It had a lot of properties that weren't well known, darker properties that could very well one day cause the skin to become listed on the restricted register. As for now it was safe. Uncommon but purchasable without the government breathing down your neck. Not that Lucian would let the government set foot near his younger sisters, he was rather protective of them, even little Lysander and as much as it could be a bother at times, Lilith felt rather protective of her older brother at times. "Nefarious?" She repeated, looking away from the skin and back to her brother, her hand coming to rest at her side, leaving the boomslang skin where it rested. "Perhaps." She smirked a little but held her head high, keeping herself dignified at all times was an absolute must. "Without your support? Why Lucian, I know you support all my endeavours." She smiled sweetly to her brother, "But today I'm just browsing. The green of the male boomslang just happened to catch my eye. I am a girl that likes pretty things after all." She was actually much more than that, even if it wasn't well known. Men of high society didn't much care for women with minds of their own, although there were a few exceptions that came along that did care about what was in the head of their wives or betrothed.
"Come on now, brother." She said, slipping her arm through his and holding on to him lightly. "This lighting is awful for my complexion. You really should do something about it for me." To anyone passing by it may have sounded to them that Lilith was being quite serious in the matter but indeed she was joking. It could be somewhat frowned upon in certain circles for women to crack wise, to make some kind of joke or speak in a sarcastic manner. Lilith had all those lessons drummed into her from such an early age but she was able to be more of herself around her sisters and brothers. Her sarcastic nature was rarely heard by anyone but them, perhaps the only exceptions being Julian and Rabastan. Even her parents she was a little guarded around. There was no one that she felt she could fully be herself with but it was probably for the best to be a little guarded at all times in this age. Dorcas Amilie Meadowes and Lucius Armand Malfoy Dorcas doesn't keep up with what's going on in the world of the elite, she doesn't give a crap about them so she'd have no idea what Lucius and Narcissa are going through and even if she didn't, she'd think they were idiots for wanting children in the first place and stupid for continuing to try when obviously they can't have any.
Lilith A. C. Lestrange and Lucius Armand Malfoy Lilith would show no concern for Narcissa in the slightest beyond friendly conversation with Lucius, asking how she's doing and if Lilith hears about another miscarriage or anything, then asking how his wife is holding up, but that's all part of being friendly.
Jovian Isobel Corrine Rowle and Lucius Armand Malfoy LOL! Not quite. She's exceedingly smart and won't do anything she doesn't want to. She's going to be heading into the ministry in order to gain favour with Voldemort and to help infiltrate the place more successfully. She does want to work with him on Death Eater missions though and get nice and cosy with him figuring every pureblooded married man has his affairs so they could definitely have fun. However she doesn't realise he actually loves his wife. One of the few purebloods in a happy marriage!
Vienna Phoebe Rosier and Lucius Armand Malfoy Some day she shall! She'll send over an owl asking what he's up to, bring over her son and they can have tea and lengthy chats!

Go shopping, without her? Had they not done that in the past? Were her sisters so incredibly co-dependant that in all their years as fully grown adults with freedom at their very finger tips they'd never gone shopping without her? She found that incredibly hard to believe. Her sister had to be playing, trying to mess with her for some reason but she honestly couldn't think why Lyra would think that would mess with her or why she would even want to play at such petty games. Lilith wasn't really in the mood for stupid little antics and if that was the way her sister was feeling this afternoon then she and Livvi were welcome to go shopping with one another, Lilith was more than capable of enjoying her own company without the need of depending on another for social interactions, "Oh Lyra, always the entertainer of the family." She smiled at her sister. She did love her, very much, but Lilith wasn't the type to coddle anyone, "You are allowed a day off with your sisters, you know." Not that Lyra would ever stop, it was in her nature to just crave attention. Classic middle child with classic middle child issues.
"Well if I'd have known you weren't going back to the office I would have give you a little present this afternoon. As it happens I've left it on your desk, a rather exciting photoshoot with a certain hunky quidditch team." Lilith smirked coyly. The main players, the ones Liv would be focused on, were entirely all pureblooded and promoted this year by Pur Magazine itself. They were doing exceptionally well and a couple of the players were even being looked at by the English national team. Seven divine men and they were all Liv's to do as she pleased. Any pose that popped into her naughty little mind could go without saying. Lilith was certain her sister would behave in quite the professional manner and once she was off the clock she'd enjoy herself in a less than profession manner. Rumour had it that Tersha Knight, tacky little writer with a lot of potential for the Daily Prophet had an interview this month with the divine Phillipe Laroux, French quidditch star on the rise, due to arrive in the country any day now and there was only one thing that would beat that - hunky British players. Plural. Nothing boosted magazine sales like a little bit of competitive patriotism. The Daily Prophet would look simply traitorous compared to Pur.
Lilith held back an amused smile, Liv was always entertaining though she never meant to be, Lyra was always the one that tried. "Well, so long as you promise I suppose we could head to Fifth Element for a look at a few dresses and perhaps on to Whipford's. They got their new looks in this week and rumour has it Christian De Voile has even created his own exclusives to Whipford's!" Lilith smiled excitedly, eyes lighting up. Shopping with her sisters would be fun but then everything she did with her sisters was rather enjoyable. She loved Liv's work and she admired Lyra's performances very much. She didn't have to have direct involvement to enjoy her sisters presence. The passion they put into their work and their drive to succeed and be the best made Lilith proud beyond words. Still no matter how much she loved her sisters and was proud of them, she began heading in the direction of Fifth Element, a place with high end evening gowns but unless it was one of a kind, Lilith wouldn't be buying and she wouldn't be buying without having her sisters approval first. She trusted them to tell her if she looked like a stretched giraffe or a pregnant whale, though they were often more subtle in their criticisms than that. Mostly.

It wasn't often that Lilith stepped foot in her brother's shop. She rarely had any need. If she wanted something he could bring it to her or a house elf could go and collect it. She much referred having Lucian bring things over to her because it meant she got a little time with her brother. When it came to age gaps in the family she was closest to Lucian. Lyra was a little younger than Lilith but she was closer in age to Liv and then there was Lysander, the baby of the family and still away at school for his final year. At least he had Loosh to look up to and he wasn't too much younger than Livia, at least they'd had a while at Hogwarts together before she graduated and Lilith knew well that mother and father both wrote to him over the course of the school year. Lilith too wrote to her youngest brother and she did miss him but she wasn't as connected to him as she was her older brother or sisters.
Lilith browsed the selection of ingredients on offer as the shop contently as the assistant helped some customers. She much preferred experimenting and creating her own little potions and she supposed that little trait ran in the family. Lucian had far more talent than she although she wasn't bad in the slightest. She had a good understanding of the balance required for a successful potion and the wits to always try it on a subject or five but she couldn't do what Loo did. He'd created himself such a successful little business of it all that Lilith was really rather proud of her older brother. Both sides of his business were positively thriving and he was going to make that Nott girl a very comfortable woman.
Smiling to her brother as she heard her voice she carrie on about her business patiently before her brother arrived beside her. "Hello, Loosh." she said, giving him a hug and a kiss on the cheek, "Just wanted to spend a bit of time with my big brother. So, what are you doing after work?" There was no ulterior motive to her wanting to spend time with her brother. She wasn't after anything and she didn't need to be. Unlike many of the pureblooded families in their circles the Burkes were a family that actually loved one another and got on well. There was no drama dividing the family and there never would be. Lilith would always have her siblings sides in any fight and she knew that they would have hers. She turned her attention to a piece of boomslang skin, picking it up and turning it over in her hand, figuring it would go rather wonderfully with her oleander. Oh for Merlin's sakes, were her sisters purposefully trying to embarrass her? Did they realise she had a reputation to uphold? They were fine. They could do as they pleased, marry whoever they wanted within reason and so long as mother and father didn't get an offer on the pair they were basically free as a bird but no, today was a day of torture apparently. Liv with her banging and what Lilith could only assume was some kind of horrific snort and Lyra, appearing out of nowhere with the brightest bloody pink top on, peeking through her coat so that absolutely no one in the whole sodding world could possibly have a chance of missing her now. Lil adored her baby sisters but honestly, it was like neither of them had the slightest clue what to do in public sometimes. "Happy coincidence." She smiled at her sister, leaning in and offering a cheek to kiss, or more bump against. Lilith wasn't a kisser, she just didn't do it and no one ever called her out on it, instead she pouted a little, grazed her cheek close, but never touching, to whoever's and then allowed them to either do the same or side kiss her cheek lightly. Though a tad hypocritical she did take note of those that did not make that little kissy noise and mentally marked them as complete bitches that thought they were better than her, well they weren't and they especially wouldn't be once she became a Lestrange. Her sisters however did get a little more than most and Ly-Ly got the little kissy noise but only because Lilith loved her.
Livvi was bounding before them in no time but Lilith kept her composure. "Honestly, what has happened to make my sisters so obscenely paranoid?" She asked and just as she had done with Lyra, Lilith leant forward and made little kissy lips and a little kissy sound as Liv grazed against her cheek. "Inside there?" Lilith questioned looking to the shop and then back to Liv as though her sister might have been joking, which of course she was not, "The place where you have just caused a scene?" She let out a sigh, "I'd rather marry a half-blood." She said, scrunching her nose up. "I was just on my way shopping for a new dress, work was boring me so I left for the day." And she had that luxury unlike the two of her sisters, "Didn't you have the Larson shoot this afternoon?" She asked Liv, she'd thought her youngest sister was going to be kept busy all day but she wasn't exactly well known for keeping track of Liv's schedule, she didn't even have a schedule of her own that she kept to so why would she bother learning anyone else's? Larson just seemed familiar for the day but perhaps it was tomorrow, or perhaps even yesterday. There was even the possibility that it was cancelled until a later date, who even knew beside Liv, Larson and his publicist?

Ugh, her day was at an end. Her work day that was and really Lilith hadn’t actually done all that much. She’d gone into work, making an appearance to please the big boss and then she’d fiddled with a bit of paperwork but as everyone knew Lilith never actually worked in her office. She had one of the biggest offices in the building and yet the majority of the work week it was empty. Still it was her space and the was no chance of her ever giving it up. Not unless she was offered a new office of her own or she decided to leave for whatever reason. Perhaps she and Rabastan would move the wedding date up. Maybe she’d grow bored of her little hobby. Perhaps she would find a new, better job that she preferred. Lilith didn’t really know and she didn’t really care. She worked hard enough. She certainly pleased those she worked with enough and her superiors were happy with her work so she would continue to do what she did all the time. Turn up in the mornings and leave either just before or just after lunch. Lilith couldn’t even remember the last time she’d worked a full work day and today was no exception.
Pushing back her chair from her desk she pulled out the parchment from her type writer and laid it down on her desk. Her owl was waiting patiently and silently in the corner of her room, over by the open window where a cold breeze was filling the room but Lilith didn’t mind. She rather enjoyed the frigid air of winter, so much so she was planning her wedding for winter this year. The end of this year that was, she rather preferred having the time and the space to chose it all and Rabastan didn’t seem to mind all too much. He had his input here and there but Lilith was taking rather well to all this wedding planning but she preferred doing it alone. Her mother was rather keen on everything and Mrs Lestrange seemed to show quite an irritating eagerness to help too and it was all rather hard to direct their attention elsewhere. Thankfully Mrs Lestrange had a granddaughter to dote on. Bringing up the subject of the child would bring light to the grandmothers face. Everyone had been shocked that the Lestrange line was not continued when Rodolphus and Bellatrix had a daughter but no one could really say they were all that surprised. While the Lestrange's had strong male lines, the Black's were clearly cursed, or at least the Rosier side of the line was. Three daughters and Cygnus Black probably wanted to pull his hair out and slaughter his wife. With her own mother she could direct her attention towards Loosh's up and coming nuptials. He had his own bride and wedding plans to prepare for and yet her mother still seemed more keen on the union between the Burke's and the Lestrange's. Not that Lilith could blame her, to tie in with the Lestrange's was considerably better than the Nott's or whatever family it was Lucian was now promised to. Lilith couldn't say she'd paid all too much attention to her brother's bride to be and her family.
Having her thoughts turn to her brother Lilith decided she wanted to spend some time with him. She looked at her watch and decided now was as good a time as any. He'd be closing up soon or he could leave it to one of the menials that he employed at his establishment to see to it the place was locked up good and tight. Lilith wanted time with her brother and she wanted it now. And some cocktails. The Ambrosia lounge was of course the forefront of her mind after deciding she wanted cocktails and so she made her way through her home, passing through the extravagant entry way and making her way up the stairs, calling her house elf Mitzteig to bring the carriage around before she walked the corridor to her bedroom. It didn't take Lilith long to get ready. Fresh make up, new clothes, different hairstyle. She reapplied her perfume and was ready to visit her brother. Slipping her earrings in she looked at herself in her vanity mirror and headed out the door and back through her extravagant manor. One would have thought that Lilith would have been quite lonely there all alone but she wasn't, she rather liked the quiet of a large, empty manor. Soon enough Rabastan would live there too and perhaps within a year of being married they would welcome their own little bundle of join, a Lestrange heir that his brother could not seem to produce with his current wife.
Climbing aboard the carriage Lilith sat back in her seat and gave her command. The winged horses started moving at the command of the driver before they lifted off into the air. The white and gold embellished carriage took little over five minutes to reach its destination. It was a little bit of a walk before she reached Lucian's shop but it was better than apparating and potentially ruining her hair or her outfit. The shop was quiet, a couple of customers lingering about and Lilith checked her watch. It was exactly closing time but rather than shooing out whatever kind of clients of Lucian's these were, she browsed the shelves, looking for ideas of new and wonderful potions she might try creating, something with the precious oleander she had out the back of the house.

The knocking at the window caught Lilith's attention immediately. It was loud and brash and not the sort of sound one expected to hear in such a respectable place. Lilith's head turned towards the noise, like many others in the vicinity, and there, smiling and waving like a recently escaped mental patient, was Livia. Of course that was who was calling the ruckus. There was no taking her anywhere, not that Lilith had taken her anywhere, her sister, who Lilith had assumed was working as she should be, had managed to find her own way to Whimsic Alley, presumably for lunch and possibly a bit of shopping. The blonde had her camera with her so perhaps she had been working and intended on working again after whatever it was she was doing. Lilith on the other hand had no intentions of working for the rest of the day. She was shopping and then she was having a wonderful evening out with her fiancé. Where they would be going she wasn't sure, but it was bound to be some place marvellous, he was never a disappointment in surprising her.
Lilith looked about at the people in the street that were looking from Livia to herself. She smiled politely, a little sheepishly and looked back to Livia, twitching her head to indicate her sister really should join her out on the street rather than disturbing so many patrons that were trying to have a leisurely afternoon. There were people here that would recognise her for Merlin's sakes! But Livia didn't care about these people, she didn't have to be married off into the pureblood world, she got to take her time before mother and father shoved her in the direction of a wealthy male that would support her for life. A nice home, plenty of travels to exotic lands. It would suit Livvi quite well apart from the whole commitment part but it wasn't as if it was fully expected for pureblood couples to stay loyal. It was well known that the men weren't and the women, while more subtle, were definitely unfaithful. Lilith didn't believe herself unfaithful, she'd never slept with a man. She had no idea if her fiancé was the faithful sort, she had no reason to doubt him thus far in their relationship but he was a man and it was often said that a man would think with the brain in his underpants rather than the one in his head. Lilith rather hoped her relationship would grow into love, like her parents were in love. Lilith was certain that in their entire relationship, neither of her parents had strayed.

With a flourish of her wand the quill under her control scrawled her signature at an angle cross the bottom of a piece of parchment sitting on her desk. The benefit of being a writer for a private magazine was she could take her work wherever she chose and take an afternoon off here and there as she pleased. Lilith enjoyed her life of luxury, she had a job that fit around her own schedule. Lyra was always at someone else command, if she didn’t obey she was fired and if she was fired for being a diva no one would use her for work again. Liv had to go where she was needed when she was needed or again, she’d be fired. All Lilith had to do was submit whatever the hell she wanted to the Editor by the end of Wednesday afternoon and they’d make it work. Of course it was time consuming but Lilith preferred to do her work in the comfort of her home. Her office was nearly entirely decretive. A picture of her family, a picture of her fiancé, pictures of her winning her various awards and decorative writing sets. All her practical stuff sat away in her draws, only ever out when needed, such as now.
With another wave of her wand and then a flick, Lilith’s quill and ink put itself away in her top draw. Her coat few over and hovered behind her. Delicately she slipped her left hand in, switched her wand to her other hand and then slipped her right hand in. Gently she adjusted the collar of the coat to fit more snuggly and then proceeded to pull the cashmere wool coat over the snug fitting blue dress she wore today. The dress and the coat both hugged against her hour-glass figure, making sure she retained a silhouette of her hard worked for body. She had no plans for this afternoon but there was never anything wrong with a spot of shopping. Diagon Alley was a popular spot but Lilith felt like something a little different. She fancied a higher end brand of shopping, as she usually did, and so Whimsic Alley was on her list of places to visit. Cute little shops, betters bars and restaurants. Her mind was already made up. She was going to head to Whimsic Alley.
Grabbing the parchment that lay still upon her desk, the tall blonde headed for the exit of her office. As she exited the room her office door shut behind her, lock clicking into the place and the lights dimming until they were out. She walked across the floor, workers busy working and she landed the parchment onto Liv's in-pile, knowing she'd be pleased with this particular job but she wasn't giving her sister any clues, just an address, a name, and a time, the note telling her to prepare for all environments, not that it had to be specified, Liv was always prepared from everything and anything. Even if she wasn't Lilith's sister, Lilith would still have preferred working with Liv purely because she was the best in the office and Lilith found her easy to get on with in a work capacity. Home life she could be a little much from time to time but Lilith still adored her youngest sister and her spirit.
Lilith was out of the constricting building before she knew it. She hated to admit it but she rather had some similarities with her youngest sister. Liv was openly a free bird but Lilith put up with the confines of a building and often. There was plenty she'd rather be doing, horse riding was the one that sprung to mind in the moment, but she'd worked and now she was going to surround herself with more buildings. She was going to shop and she was going to buy herself plenty of beautiful things, have them sent to her home and then indulge in a light, late lunch before heading home, dressing in something elegant and having an evening with her fiancé some place lavish that charged far more than it ought to. For now she was disapparting to Whimisc Alley, brushing the outside of her coat off as she looked up and down the alley from the apparation point she'd appeared at, noting how much better off these people looked. Of course when the sun set there were a few gentleman bars in the vicinity but during the day, Lilith thought as she stepped out into the crowd, it was certainly a better place to shop.

The Front Isn't she stunning? Lilith fell in love with the facade of this home. It reminds her of her time spent in France and what with becoming a Lestrange she felt this was the only home she could possibly live in.
Entrance This grand entrance and waiting area is something Lilith spent a lot of time thinking about when spending time up fixing the old home. Pillars, gold accents and a pink crystal chandelier were all absolute must haves. Dining Rooms Coming from a somewhat large family, Lilith has never really understood the word 'small'. Her intimate dining space comfortably sits ten people, more when charms are added for extra space and length. The larger dining sits 26, although once again, with a quick spell, it can seat far more. Lounge This lounge is light and airy and a place Lilith comes to relax or play the piano. She can often be found sat in this room with a book from the library. Ballrooms One ballroom might be enough for some but Lilith likes to have her options. And if you count the grand dining hall, when cleared of the table and chairs, that too acts as a third ballroom. Extravagant and with gold touches, signature Lilith. Library Lilith doesn't really spend a lot of time in here, although she pops in regularly for a book. Swimming Pool Bright and warm. Lilith doesn't spend a lot of her time swimming as she finds the water too damaging for her hair, but she likes that her pool is enclosed but lets in a lot of natural light. Naturally there is a gold sun at the bottom of the pool. Master Bedroom Probably a lot plainer than one might expect from Lilith, but she finds she needs a place she can calm down after a busy day. The white of the room helps her wake more naturally in the mornings Aurora's Bedroom What happens when you let a 7 year old Princess help design her own bedroom at her aunt and uncles home? A lot of pink and gold! Spare Bedrooms The spare bedrooms are decorated with certain people in mind, from her parents to her sisters, Lilith thinks of everyone's needs, however they're not specifically for each individual alone, they're for anyone that wishes to stay. Here we have a room tailored for Lilith's parents, situated on the ground floor. A grand, golden bedroom for the star of the family - Lyra. An extravagant bedroom for Rabastan's parents.
