Lyra and Livvi could attempt to tease her as much as they liked, to try and draw out some kind of reaction from her that would be based in rage at the continued suggestions that Meg would be present at the wedding but it wouldn't work. Lilith was too certain of herself and knew her sisters knew her too well to ever allow such a thing to happen. Lilith loved her sisters dearly, they were special to her in all manner of ways, but if that dog was caught at the wedding for even the briefest of seconds, it would be a dead dog walking. Or a severely sick dog, she wasn't certain that she could go through with killing her sisters companion, or even having someone kill it for her. She loved Liv, she didn't want to leave her heartbroken if she could help it but she was beginning to think of ways to render the dog unwell for the big day. Force Liv to find some kind of doggy baby sitter for the day to make well and truly certain that the dog stayed out of her wedding. Nothing would ruin her special day, especially not some dog.
Livia made a comment about the two of them trying something on and Lilith looked at her scornfully though it wasn't at all in any type of manor to actually suggest she was upset with her sisters comment, she was only teasing the youngest Burke daughter. No, Lilith was quite playful in her own way and it was only really family that really got her sense of humour, none as well as Lucian though. "Keeping you from bigger and better things are we, darling? My apologies." Lilith made her way in to her change room and began trying on her clothes, getting rid of the first one without even showing it off to Liv and Lyra and then stepping out in the light floral gown she'd first picked out. It sat wonderfully she thought but she wasn't quite sure if she could pull of quite a low 'v' neck as this dress had. It was certainly something more to Lyra's suitability, Merlin knew the girl liked to flaunt what she had. "Hmm," She said, running her hands over her slim frame, twisting and turning, looking in the mirrors, showing off a little, "What do you think, Livvi?" After all she found Livia to be rather more impartial when looking at dresses, Lyra seemed to want to get Lilith to flaunt her assets but half the time Lilith was certain Lyra only thought such things just to mess with Lilith.

Lilith almost broke out in a genuine smile. Almost. She was well versed at keeping the type of expression she needed for a situation but Rabastan was a rather entertaining sort. She'd spent a bit of time getting to know him, they were engaged after all and she'd been growing up with him for her whole life. It didn't mean they were close but before they were engaged they'd certainly spoken before and knew of one another. He was quite handsome, better looking than his brother so she was lucky with that regards. His brother also had a habit of sleeping around. Lilith wasn't sure if Rabastan would share that particular family trait with his brother but she hoped not, or if he did that he'd at least keep himself to a decent class of woman. She wasn't sure who Rodolphus spent his evenings and nights with but she'd found herself both pleasuring him and being pleasure by him. She may have been wanting to save herself completely for her husband but she wasn't a complete angel, a girl needed a little fun here and there and there was just something so tantalising about an office affair. Of course that was before she was engaged to Rabastan. Had she known then that she would be betrothed to the younger Lestrange she most certainly would not have enjoyed Rodolphus' advances as much and they would not have gone further. She liked to think that Rodolphus was at least a slightly honourable gentleman and, if he had known that she would be his future sister in law, that he would not have made any such advances.
As she was trained to be, Lilith was a perfect companion. She followed Rabastan, effortlessly following his every little non-verbal command as he guided her through the house and to where they were seated. Rodolphus was there having parted ways with Evie Nott, someone Lilith hadn't really expected to see here but then again she had the chance to cling off of a Lestrange so what else should Lilith have expected? Clementine had wormed her way into the Burke family somehow, something Lilith was most displeased about, but if she had to be related to the despicable Nott family through the Lestrange side as well ... well she'd just have to kill someone. Instead of allowing these thoughts to cross her face and give her away, she smiled politely at her future brother in law with the warmth that she offered only to family and, these days, family to be. "Evening Rodolphus, you look dashing." She smiled, knowing he would have all sorts of women hanging off of him now that he was getting divorced. Evie would only be the start, although he had planted the idea of her walking down the aisle to meet him instead of Rabastan. He was the older sibling, and heir, but Rodolphus was not as attractive as Rabastan and she was already engaged to the younger Lestrange. It wouldn't do well to change brothers, not that she would have any choice in the matter, it was just a silly little thought passing by.
Lilith was seated and she took in the sight of those at the table around them. A glance up the table first, she wasn't far from the Minister at the head of the table and those opposite were somewhat acceptable. That Vienna woman was directly opposite and Lilith wasn't a fan, not even the slightest. She was an unknown and yet, somehow, she'd managed to claw her way into a highly respectable pureblood family. One of the Sacred 28. Lilith was a blood snob, even amongst the Sacred 28. There were a few in there that weren't up to the name. Parkinsons, Blacks, Weasleys, Bones. There were a few. The Notts too, Lilith disliked how they were so chummy with just about everyone, they were close to blood traitors in her mind. Further down a familiar face caught her eye and she lingered on him a little while. A couple of people beyond her cousin, well second cousin, Fin, was Julian. A face she'd not seen in a while. She didn't even notice, as she lingered on him for a moment, that he was with someone. Instead she averted her gaze back across the table and made small talk with the Rosiers, knowing Rabastan would make the evening far better later. Rabastan was charming to say the least. He was positively dream worthy really and Lilith knew she was incredibly lucky to have landed herself a fiancé like him and not anyone else that she knew of. There were a few respectable gentlemen in the wizarding world but honestly, none of them were royalty the way Rabastan was. He may not have been the heir to his families fortune but he was certainly a prince within the wizarding world and that would naturally make her a princess when they were married, and how could she ever pass up such a position? It was as though she was born to fill the role. It was just a shame the wizarding world didn't have such titles, perhaps she'd have a word with her parents and see if they couldn't start something. Of course the idea that Rodolphus of all people could one day be King of the wizarding world was a little terrifying, but if it meant she'd be a Princess, a genuine, actual Princess then she was all too welcoming of the idea, even King Rodolphus. She would be sister-in-law to the king and as he had no heir, once he was done Rabastan would be king. Of course Rodolphus could always find himself a new bride in that time, one that was able to conceive children for him, unlike the dreaded Black's who it seemed held nothing but failure in their wombs. Lilith was certain she'd give Rabastan plenty of children, an heir immediately. Her family had no issues with conception. The women were all fertile and she knew she'd be the same. They would have as many little Lestrange's running around their family home as they desired. They would be the envy of the Wizarding elite.
"Why thank you, Rabastan, you're so sweet." Her smile widened as he kissed her ring and presented her with the roses. She chuckled softly at his compliment, hoping he intended for it to be as cheesy as it was because if he hadn't then there were probably going to be issues in their marriage. Well probably not, she'd internalise absolutely everything. He was worth it. Or at least his bank account and status were worth it. She'd do just about anything for those! Sure she worked but it wasn't enough to support the lavish lifestyle she wanted to live. She enjoyed her work and wanted to take over Pur magazine some day but that would be in the future. First she needed to get married and start a family with the gentleman before her. "Mitzteig." She called. the house elf was only a couple of seconds away and peeked her head around the corner, entering the room and approaching Lilith while Lilith looked at her roses and gave them a gentle smell. Once the house elf was at her side, Lilith gave her the roses and the house el bowed, taking them away to out in a vase. She'd know well enough that Lilith would want them on display while they ate. "Come, have a seat." She said, opening up her arm, indicating to where he'd been sat before he'd crossed the room to greet her, "Dinner won't be far off." Lilith paid no attention to what her sisters were picking up or looking at as they went around the room. She could almost have rolled her eyes at the insinuation that she wasn't ready fro the wedding. She had ideas, she was just waiting for perfection and while Lilith doubted she'd find it in a shop there was always the chance she could be pleasantly surprised. Of course if she found nothing she'd have dresses made. A seamstress pricking at her sisters thighs was rather amusing to Lilith but she'd never say that out loud. She loved her sisters but a little pain here and there was rather amusing, especially when it wasn't anything serious. Lilith didn't think of herself as sadistic but there were just some things that were funny regardless of your sense of humour. "The dresses will be arranged and sorted in no time. You'll both look absolutely stunning." She assured them, of course they would both already know she wouldn't do anything to make either of them look anything less than the perfection they were. She was going to have a beautiful bridal party and she was going to be the most stunning bride imaginable. Ever wedding that ever was and ever would be would forever be compared to hers and none of them would ever match up.
Lilith laughed as Liv asked about her little dog. Lilith didn't really have anything against the animal really but a wedding was not the place for animals. At least not that sort. Unicorns and doves, of course! Dogs? No. They weren't blind, they didn't need any kind of animal assistance and what if the thing started squatting everywhere, leaving yellow snow? Lilith was going to have snow for her wedding and none of it would be yellow. Liv's question wouldn't get a verbal answer from Lilith, instead she circled about the shop looking for dresses, handing them over to the assistant so she could carry on looking while she thought over ideas for her wedding though really she was rather looking forward to getting home and going for a horse ride. Shopping with her sisters was wonderful but it had been a while since she'd galloped across the grounds of Oleander Grove and she was starting to ache for that sort of solitary freedom that could only be found racing through trees and over lush green fields, kicking up soft mud as they went and finishing off with a hot bubble bath and glass of wine, reading a good book until she began to prune a little.

The Ambrosia lounge was one of the most high end places you could go in the wizarding world for lunch. It wasn't exactly the best evening place, there were superior venues for dining out in the evening, but for a late afternoon date with her brother it was ideal. They could get to talking about wedding plans, complaining about the prospect of in-laws and, in Lilith's case, wondering how she'd not managed to fall in love with some remarkable and rich pureblooded gentleman while she'd had the chance. It wasn't as if she'd been rushed to find a future husband but at the same time she had the opportunity. Rabastan was absolutely lovely, he came from an exceptional family too which was something Lilith rather approved of but it wasn't love, at least not yet. She hoped the love would grow, she'd been told by plenty of people that would happen over the course of their relationship and she believed it was. Rabastan was a very likeable gentleman and while she knew Lucian never really had anything bad to say about him, or their match, she hoped her brother approved of him and grew to like him. Rabastan and Lucian, brothers-in-law, would make quite the pair, Lilith thought.
"Absolutely." She said in a rather hoity voice, making her come off as quite the snob, caring only about lighting and what made her look nothing less than perfection. Of course she wasn't being serious but the hostess wouldn't know that. She kept her features elegant and lady like, she ensured that her features let the hostess know that she was nothing compared to Lilith and she didn't even glance at the girl. She was a worker, someone paid to ensure Lilith's comfort so there was no need to look at her. Instead Lilith shook off her coat that someone else she also didn't bother looking at, took for her. They were seen to their table and Lilith took a seat in the chair that was held out for her, "Merlin's beard, Lucian!" She said with a chuckle once they were comfortably seated at their table, water poured and a wine selection to chose from. "That will have to wait until I'm married. Far more pressing matters to think about, such as dresses and flowers. Who in the name of magic would want a successful career before all those things?" She most certainly did want a career. Her wedding would be wonderful and beautiful and while it would be talked about throughout the wizarding world, it wasn't something Lilith genuinely believed was more important than her career, after all she had people to boss around for her wedding. Plenty of people paid a heck of a lot of money to ensure absolute perfection and an easy time of wedding planning for Lilith. Lilith just had to give them her ideas and thoughts and anyone that came back to her with anything displeasing was simply removed from the planning ... and perhaps tortured a little and suddenly "missing". Lilith placed a drink order, closed the wine menu and thrusted it towards the help. "How are the plans coming along for the up coming Nott-Burke wedding, might I enquire?" She was curious as to how this wedding of Lucian's was going to turn out. Clementine was not someone Lilith approved of and the witch wasn't exactly letting Lilith in on any of the wedding plans. Lilith wasn't usually one for playing nice with those she clearly did not like but she'd attempted to with Clementine, if only for her brother's benefit, but she'd been snubbed and only had her mother to rely on for information as to what the wedding would hold.

An almost smile flashed over Lilith’s lips as Rabastan suggested seeing how not lovely the ballroom was. She wasn’t going to publicly approve of such a comment but her eyes shifted to her fiancé and she was entertained by his wit. Luckily no one was paying close enough attention to be able to read lips or hear the pair of them but Lilith was quite certain that Rabastan would be quite right, the inside of this home, if you could even call it that, would just be a let down. Still it would impress the sheep that were unaware of what fine taste was. This whole ‘Minister of the People’ act was wearing thin already on Lilith’s patience and while this may have been the Minister’s first ever spring Gala, Lilith had no intentions of attending another, or any other kind of gala this minister threw together. It was dull so far and the evening had only just begun, there was no direction for the evening to go but down.
The two entered the ballroom, Lilith on Rabastan’s arm, letting him take the lead as she was raised to do. There were plenty of people dancing and the music was acceptable to Lilith. Her fiancé spun her and pulled her back again into an intimate yet formal dancing hold, something entirely suitable and expected of an engaged couple, she felt. “Such a splendid idea, Rabastan.” She smiled. It was of course an awful idea and she didn't take Rabastan seriously in the slightest. Hiring this place for their wedding was the biggest joke of the night. It was large but it was a drab yet it still wouldn’t even fit all of their guests. The Burke-Lestrange wedding was to be the biggest the wizarding world would ever see. They would have the most notable people in all the wizarding world wishing them well. Minister Galanis, if she was still Minister come the time of their wedding, would of course be invited and expected to show, if she decided not to then Lilith would make sure there was a good reason for such an absence. “Let's invite everyone here tonight, such a wonderful evening to recreate." She did not mean that in the slightest and the subtle change in her tone portrayed that. Rabastan may not have been quite used to her extremely dry sarcasm but it was something she was certain he'd grow to recognise the more they got to know one another, if not then this marriage was going to be best spent apart. She rather liked Rabastan though so she hoped he'd catch on, or she supposed she could become a little more obvious. Looking to her right there were mudbloods dancing among them but she took a breath and looked back to Rabastan, knowing this evening wouldn't last forever. The first annual Spring Gala of the new Minister for Magic. So far not so bad, Lilith supposed. Her arm was delicately placed through her fiancé's as they entered the gala, the perfect couple. Beautiful, powerful, and did she mention beautiful? Lilith had to admit she was a little disappointed not to be announced to the room and attention drawn to her dress and hair. She'd spent what felt like an eternity getting ready for this evening and no one was openly staring and admiring her, what in the name of Merlin was wrong with this Minister?! Lilith supposed the place was full of commoners so it wouldn't do well for the minister to highlight more influential persons amongst her crowd of guests this evening. People would come to stare at her beauty in their own time and with her well to do fiancé people should really have been staring at the pair. They were beautiful, rich and the most influential couple there. The Malfoy’s weren’t around and they were holding less and less favour in the wizarding world now that they were unable to conceive. Rodolphus - her former employer and future brother in law - was in the process of a divorce and she expected women to be hanging around, looking out for an in with him. Undoubtedly he was the most eligible bachelor in the wizarding world but honestly, some women had no standards, he wasn’t even divorced yet, give the man some room to breathe. Lilith was more than happy with her own fiancé, she wouldn’t need someone like Rodolphus, someone that was only going to sleep around on you anyway. Her eyes drifted to his direction and she scoffed silently, turning her head forward again, of course the skank sister of her brand new sister in law was practically draping herself all over Rodolphus.
Once the Minister was done talking, Lilith looked about the gardens. They were rather beautiful in a simplistic sort of way. She wondered, briefly, what it was like to be poorer than she, then she remembered she didn’t actually care and instead turned her attention to her fiancé, a man that was ten times the gentleman of anyone else at the gala, including his own brother. Honestly, the man couldn’t even get his wife to give him a son and now they were divorcing? How unheard of. Everyone knew if a woman refused to birth her husband an heir there was only one way she was getting out of that marriage and it was not divorce. Why Rodolphus didn’t just deal with Bellatrix the old fashioned way was beyond Lilith’s levels of comprehension, he was certainly creating himself a reputation of being quite a soft touch by letting a woman walk all over him! The eldest Black sister was by no means the friendly sort, Lilith had made a habit of avoiding her whenever she could, but surely Rodolphus should have been able to handle his own wife! The situation was really rather laughable! Rabastan wouldn’t have to worry about any such shames from her, she would give him as many heirs as he desired and she would be the perfect wife through all scenarios. It was how she was raised - properly. “Such a pleasant evening.” She smiled to Rabastan, “The Minister has clearly attempted her best for the gala.” Lilith was not being kind. Her words may have sounded it, her expression may have been rather friendly and approachable but she was not feeling the Gala at all. It was drab compared to the types of events that her family held and it was all of mixed bloods. Lilith was rather disgusted but it was a political thing, she and Rabastan had to be seen together and supporting this Minister. There seemed to be quite a bit of interest surrounding Galanis from the upper purebloods and while politics was not something Lilith had ever been taught to concern herself with, she knew the merits of mixing with the right people.

Lilith Readied herself for her evening with her fiancé. It was lovely to be engaged to someone like Rabastan although she would most certainly have liked to have fallen in love before an arranged marriage was set. It hadn't happened and there was no shame in that, the right person just didn't cross her path and the suitor she now had was quite possibly the best she could have hoped for with what was available in the wizarding world. Rodolphus clearly would have been the absolute top prize but he knew it. He had been married for a while, he had a single daughter and no sign of an heir, not even a gentle whisper on the breeze. He was unfaithful, which Lilith knew first hand having been between his legs beneath his desk, and she was willing to bet all that she had that he'd done more than what the two of them had done and with more women than she'd even have a chance at contemplating. That was the draw back to Rodolphus, but once he inherited everything in the Lestrange fortune, he would be the richest wizard anyone could possibly know, and that made for the infidelity.
Lucius Malfoy would have been another superb match, however his inability to create and heir with his wife was troublesome for the couple. Undoubtedly it worried Lucius' father also. Lucius was the only heir to the Malfoy fame, fortune, and influence, to lose that would be horrendous. Secretly it delighted Lilith. There were a few other attractive and wealthy first borns but they were all married, some lucky enough to have found love but of all the second born sons Rabastan was by far the best option, he was even better than quite a few first borns. There was a hierarchy in the world and a second born Lestrange son would trump the vast majority of all other males. Lilith was just lucky that he too had been single when her parents were looking for a suitor for her and she tried not to think about his own faithfulness. Lilith was remaining faithful to Rabastan, she kept herself pure enough unlike many others and she intended to not lay a hand on another male. For now. There was no telling what Rabastan would be like as a husband or how he would treat her. If she felt neglected then obviously her needs would have to be met elsewhere but she was remaining optimistic about he future husband.
Mitzteig knocked at Lilith's door and Lilith stood, knowing it was time to graciously greet her fiancé. She felt the strange sensation of butterflies take hold of her stomach as she always did around Rabastan, at least as soon as he was named her betrothed. It was a strange sensation and one that couldn't possibly be comprehended by those not having been in the same situation. She was excited and nervous all at the same time, Rabastan was nothing but a gentleman and amusing in all the right ways too, but it was still a man she was destined to marry without having picked him herself and as she walked the halls and descended the stairs, she wondered if Rabastan felt anything when he thought of her. She suspected not. Men were far more visual creatures and hopefully, in the dress she'd picked for this evening, he would be feeling all sorts of things about her. She only hoped he wouldn't take his needs and urges elsewhere but they were not married yet, they were not in love and the only promises to one another really was to be wed so if he was one to indulge in the bodies of other women, Lilith knew she shouldn't take it personally. Of course she still wanted to slaughter any woman alive that had touched Rabastan, but that would be most unbecoming of a woman and far too territorial and possessive two things she did not want to be.
The house elf mentioned something about Rabastan being in the lounge and that was the way that Lilith headed. Her home looked perfect, Mitzteig had the place looking positively spotless and gleaming. This home was very much her palace and Lilith was proud of it. There were still rooms here and there she was working on - or paying people to work on - and she would have this home absolutely perfect before she was married. She and Rabastan hadn't yet had the talk of where they would live but obviously there was no competition. This home was perfection, or at least it would be by the time she was done with it. They could happily raise their sons in this home and they'd be a perfect family. Two sons and a daughter. That would be most ideal to Lilith. As she stepped in to the lounge she saw Rabastan sitting and she began walking towards him, "Rabastan," she smiled a well practiced smile, not because she wasn't happy at his presence, she was indeed most pleased to see Rabastan, it was just a practiced smile as she knew how her face was looking with this smile, all her smiles in fact and this was very nearly her warmest, she didn't want to embarrass herself by seeming rude to Rabastan and she didn't want to insinuate in any way that she was the clingy sort. It was a fine line and one she'd been taught to walk in high heels, tight clothes and perfect posture. Tag: Rabastan Aramis Lestrange Words: 917 Notes: <3 Whoda thunk it?! Outfit: Grandma stylez

Lilith took a deep breath, looking in the mirror and running her hands down over the silk nightdress she wore. Her hair was a mess and her face was pale but she’d only just woken up and she knew she looked a thousand times better than any other woman on the planet who was all dolled up and trying to look her best. Lilith knew she was just a natural beauty and she wasn’t going to squander her looks nor was she going to use them for complete manipulation. She preferred her mind for that, but as she looked in the mirror, breathing in and out, watching the gentle curve of her breast rise and fall, she wondered if there might be something that would make her that little more perfect. Her left hand slid around to her back while her right hand caressed the front of her stomach. She stood tall but natural, not sucking her stomach in or trying to look like anything she wasn’t. Some day she would carry a son in her womb, an heir for Rabastan and she looked forward to being a mother. She came from a loving family, as did Rabastan and she wanted the same for her children. Boys and girls alike, they would have love in their lives as well as anything and everything their hearts desired. They would be spoilt and they would be wonderful. Her mind naturally crept to the act itself. The act that would be needed to indeed create an heir with her soon to be husband. Lilith had not given herself to a man before, not in that way, and she wanted her husband, whoever he’d be, to be her one and only. It was a tad romanticised, she knew that, but she had a rather romantic streak when it came down to it. She hoped that Rabastan would grow to love her, that they would love one another and remain loyal and faithful. The idea that he was anything like his brother made her stomach churn. She didn’t want for her husband to fool around behind her back and she didn’t want to know of it if he did. She wanted bliss and happiness. She wanted what her parents had but it wasn’t ever going to be. When she’d been younger and far more naive than she was now, she’d kind of hoped that Julian would whisk her away. He wasn’t as pureblooded as she would have liked but he was fun and making out with him was always a thrill. That was just a silly school girl fantasy though. It was never anything that would actually come true, and then after he’d graduated that was it, she’d not seen him again. Lilith had never really had ‘crushes’ like many of her school friends, and she’d never entertained the idea of boyfriends really. There was never anyone all that good enough for her apart from Rabastan and she’d never really attempted to make herself known to him. She’d caught his older brother’s eye when she’d been working as Rodolphus’ personal secretary and while he would have made a very fine husband indeed, he was already to married to the barren Black woman. Or not so barren. They had one child, a daughter, but she was older now, five years old and they’d not had any children before or after her and in the top world of the elite, there was only one reason for that - she was unable to carry children well. There’d been a few rumours here and there, speculating that she was pregnant, but none were ever confirmed until she carried her daughter. Married women were always expected to conceive an heir within the first year of marriage because that was usually the whole point of marriage in the first place. The fact it had taken the Lestrange couple a while to conceive their first, have a daughter and then never have a child again, all pointed to Bellatrix being barren. It really wouldn’t have surprised Lilith, all that inbreeding in the Black family and her own sister was also having difficulties. Married for a while and actual news of miscarriages from the Malfoy’s only added fuel to the fire that Bellatrix was much like her sister.
Getting ready for her day, Lilith left the mirror and any thoughts of changing her body behind. She was perfection and as she caught a glimpse of her backside she smirked to herself. Sheer perfection. Her day started the same as any other, she showered herself and performed her little rituals to make sure she looked her absolute best. She picked out the finest clothes and ate only a healthy breakfast, something bland and devoid of all flavours in order to keep her figure the way it was. She’d lost a couple of pounds for the wedding but she didn’t want to be too skinny. She didn’t want to be the type of girl that could see her rib cage when she looked at herself naked in the mirror, and Lilith could certainly look at herself naked in the mirror for a decent amount of time, something that not a lot of other women could do. After being ready for her day she made her way to work, the charms she’d placed on her hair to keep it in place worked, just like they always did. She was head to toe perfection and when it came time to leave work she was out the door before anyone else, completing a rare full days work in the office.
After a relatively easy day Lilith was home, greeted by the only other inhabitant of the home her house elf, Mitzteig. Mitzteig took Lilith’s outer garments and asked if Lilith would like anything to drink. Lilith declined. She had Rabastan coming over this evening and Mitzteig had her work cut out for her. Lilith was exceedingly fussy with her food and it had to be prepared and cooked perfectly, especially while she hosted the company of her future husband, but Mitzteig was yet to let her down so despite a little apprehension and worry, she was looking forward to what she’d requested for the evening. A three course meal that she wouldn’t even finish half of, the finest champagne and some wonderful music to play in the background. Mitzteig was rather accomplished with both the piano and violin, as was Lilith but her favourite by far was the piano which she had demanded be played this evening. A fine medley of gentle and classical music would play, some of Lilith’s favourites by some of the greatest wizarding composers known to man. Of course they were all dead so her house elf would be gently playing without actually being in the room. House elf magic was a wonder sometimes but Lilith didn't have time to sit and think about it, not even for a second, she was off upstairs getting ready, spending her time between getting home and Rabastan's arrival pampering herself a little because Merlin knew she was worth it. Walking past the house elf and in to the shop Lilith looked at what was on display a little closer. She still wasn't ready to settle on dresses for her sisters because the right design simply hadn't caught her eye yet. She was not a designer, she could design a dress but perhaps Lyra would be able to. She was in to the more manual labour side of things, working in show business and needing her dresses made for her, she dealt with all this sort of thing far more often than she or Livvi. Lilith only had dresses fitted or designed when there was something worth while that required the absolute best fashion to show off. Lyra needed multiple dresses for multiple shows usually all created from scratch for her. Lilith was really re-thinking this whole wedding dress idea and contemplating getting the absolute best fashion designer around to do her dress and something for her sisters. Though she rather loved the dress she'd picked out and if they'd adjusted it properly then it would fit perfectly. Snug in all the right places, accentuate her natural born gifts and make the whole world jealous. The women jealous of her body and the men jealous of Rabastan for getting to marry such a beauty. Her blonde against his darker features would look incredible amongst the snow and bare trees and there would be snow, even if she had to kill someone for it.
"Something that makes you both look hideous and, by comparison, makes me look even more stunning. I'm thinking something horrendous in lime." She said casually, no hint of her humour in the slightest but she was of course teasing the pair of them. She wouldn't have her sisters looking so disgusting at her wedding. In fact her friends that weren't in either wedding party would be on duty to make sure everyone looked good. Anyone that looked remotely disgusting would be told to go change or they'd miss the wedding and all the frivolities after. "Yes, we'll have someone take some polyjuice potion with a lobe of your ear in it so we can tell who's who. You can sneak around taking pictures while some homeless stranger poses as you in my wedding party for a hell of a lot of money." She said, looking to Livvi, giving a clearly sarcastic look at her youngest sister. Honestly, there was no way she'd ever allow her sister to duck out of her role as bridesmaid in order to take photographs. "The photographer we've hired is one of the very best. Some overachieving, malnourished Russian teen or something." Lilith had no idea. The photographs looked incredible and while the travelling teen was but a teen, they were hard to employ but their works went for hundreds of thousands. Lilith explored the shop, the shop assistant coming out with a tray of champaign for the party of three and setting it down on a large round table surrounded by seats near the changing rooms for family to sit and judge what their family and friends wore out of the changing rooms. "Good morning ladies!" The shop assistant spoke too cheerily. Lilith smiled politely and turned away from the shop assistant, looking towards a mannequin with a flowing winter-spring dress, light and breezy but long sleeved and long skirted. Was that even the right word? The combination of white and blue was rather refreshing but she passed it by, "Can I help you with anything?" She asked, eagerly. Lilith was indecisive. She just fancied a browse but ordering people around was rather fun.

Humour amongst her siblings was a favourite sort for Lilith. It felt like a private little club, a Burkes only sort of affair. She was able to slip her humour in to a lot of conversations with others but they never noticed, she was too dry and flat for their little pea-brains to comprehend and she was fine with that. More than fine. She found another source of entertainment in their dull wits. Intelligence was something highly prized for Lilith. She was very much a Ravenclaw through and through. Given the choice of any of the houses then she would pick Ravenclaw every time. The house of Wit and Learning was not often frequented by the elite in the pureblood world. It was the second top house for sure, yet most ended up amongst the snakes. Not that Lilith minded and some, much like Lucian and Livia, were exceedingly smart. She was rather fortunate too that she was engaged to Rabastan. He was another Slytherin that was on the far more intelligent side of the snakes. It was a shame not all of them were as smart, but then if they were she might not have nearly as much fun with them. Secretly mocking them to their faces while she spoke to them was rather a highlight of social events and even run-ins in the streets. Not that much conversation was ever held in the streets, a formal 'hello' and on your way. Only the common stood around to chit-chat in the streets.
Lilith pulled her coat over herself a little more, covering herself up to brace the cold outside of the store as Lucian spoke to his staff. Lilith didn't bother looking to his brother's employee. She'd seen him before and there was nothing there worth ogling in her opinion. Not that she was the type to ogle but she was the sort to notice good looks and steal an acceptable glance if the chance arose. Marcus was not worth a second glance, neither was anyone else that worked in Lucian's little shop. They were all too inferior in both looks and bloodline so not worth her time on a double scale so Lilith happily left the apothecary without a thought of who she'd been avoiding in Lucian's shop. Mrs Lovett, she was fairly certain, was the crazy old widow that had a thing for younger men. It was no surprise that she was visiting Loosh's shop. Probably for about the third time this week and it was only Tuesday. "I was thinking the Ambrosia lounge." She said with a quick glance down the street to the bend the high-class lounge sat around. Lilith gave a single nod to Liv. She rarely kidded around when it came to work but she was happy to see her sisters joy. It had taken a bit of effort to organise everything and because plans were so fragile with the risk of falling through they had to keep absolutely everything hush-hush from the rest of the staff so there'd be no leaks but it was so close now and everything was set in stone that a few more people could be let in on the secret, and with such a big shoot there was only one person Lilith could realistically recommend for the job and it wasn't just because Liv was her sister, it was because she was the best photographer they had at the magazine and just the best photographer Lilith had ever encountered. Knight would get plenty of pictures for her little article of that French dream-boat but they'd all be low quality in a low quality, black and sepia newspaper, whereas Liv would have pictures she'd taken of one of the best teams in the world in all it's glory in the glossy pages of Pur Magazine. Tersha was a good writer, she drew in good readership with her blunt advice column where she said what everyone was thinking but lacked the guts to say. They could use her at Pur. She had an edge that no one else in the industry would dare have and she was respectably pureblooded too.
Lyra made a comment that gave Lilith the impression her sisters were going to be far from proper this afternoon and she was right. Liv made an effort to link up like she was still in school, spending time with her mates rather than her sisters but Lilith reminded herself that her younger sister was still quite young, she'd not been graduated for very long and Liv was bound to still have a few of her old habits kicking around so Lilith walked with her sisters, all connected until they got to Fifth Element. The large glass doors opened for the girls and Lilith walked in first, taking off her scarf and holding it out for someone, anyone to take. She let it go, a house elf catching the thing and she unbuttoned her coat, looking about the store, excited to start a little retail therapy with her sisters. It was a good way to enjoy her day and perhaps the pair would even have a little input on their bridesmaid dresses for later in the year when she married Rabastan. It seemed so far off right now but she knew between work and wedding preparations that the time would just fly by, but first they had Lucian's wedding to get through. It would be a wonderful and beautiful affair, it was just a shame about the bride and her family. At least they were one of the few worthy sacred families she supposed.
