A little fall of rain can hardly hurt me now Geralina had spent far too much time being a recluse of late. If it wasn't for the likes of good friends like Dorcas, and Tersha, and Dorian, she didn't know how she would have coped with the difficult hand life had been dealing her over the past few years. She knew she wasn't alone, and that those around her had felt their own share of pain and loss, too, and that helped, though she hated the feeling that her friends were hurting. Since Paris had died, it had seemed to set in motion some sort of domino effect. Tristan had died barely a year later, and though she had felt a bit strange around him at first, given the fact that they had dated as kids, she had gotten used to his presence around the castle, and she sometimes wondered if she should have kept her distance, because his death might not have hurt so much then. If losing the humans she cared about wasn't bad enough, her ancient little elf owl, Tala, had passed away before Christmas, and then her old cat Chase had gotten sick in the new year and had to be put to sleep by Johnny. Was it any wonder she'd been quiet for months? Keeping to herself, and going about her routine had felt safe and kept her calm. Going to work every day, coming back home, having cereal for tea, reading in bed until she fell asleep. It had become her safe place even more so than it ever used to be, and it was taking a lot of effort to drag herself back into the real world slowly. She wasn't entirely alone in her routine, the people that had died had had pets, and it seemed everyone thought of Geralina as the person to take said pets in. Of course she would never say no to that, she was an animal lover if ever there was one, but sometimes it was a stab through the heart when she looked at Rigel and remembered when Paris had first ended up with him. Pippa, her little spaniel dog, was less of a heartache. Geralina had only had her for a year and a half, and she had come from the Blackthornes, so Geralina was detached enough to enjoy the pup without the sad thoughts that accompanied Rigel. She had brought Pippa with her today, and secured her in a safe area in Dorian's back garden with some shelter and a bowl of water. Luckily Dorian's entire back wall of his home was made of glass, so all she had to do was glance sideways and she could see the little dog snoozing in a patch of late winter sun, happy as can be. She was a good dog, she had been sweet when she'd first come to Geralina, a little bit confused, but young enough to adapt. Geralina had trained her up really well, and sometimes she even came to the castle with her, enjoying the fireplaces in the winter months. Geralina had been a bit apprehensive about bringing her to Dorian's brand new home, she knew he hadn't had pets before and probably wouldn't be getting any until Ariel was old enough to pester him for one. Pippa was an angel, though, she would just play with her ball and snooze the whole time, Geralina was positive of that. What she wasn't sure about was the outcome of these cakes she was mixing up in Dorian's kitchen. His entire house was streamlined and spotless, sparkling from top to toe, and she didn't fancy ruining his shiny counters in cake mix and mess. She'd clean up as she went, that was easy enough, but she couldn't predict whether Ariel would want to paint herself in icing or not. She had the toddler sat on the counter top in front of her as she mixed up a batch of cake batter with a whisk, a few droplets of thick, creamy goo spraying into her hair and onto Ariel's face, making the little blonde giggle and try to lick it off of her nose. "Oops! Is that tasty?" Geralina laughed, pulling a tray of empty cake cases closer to them and giving Ariel a small spoon. "Okay, time to get messy," she said, helping her to scoop spoonfuls into each case and catching drips on her fingers. She licked them off, unable to resist having a little taste. Ever since she was a little girl herself, she had always insisted that the cake mixture tasted better than the cake, and to this day, she would probably still say the same. It was delicious! "Shall we ask Dor to put these in the oven for us?" she said to Ariel, scooping her up and sitting her on her hip as she carried the full tray over to Dorian, who had been appointed Chief Oven Worker. It was basically his job to get the cakes in and out of the oven so that, one; Ariel wouldn't go near and burn herself, and two; Geralina wouldn't go near and burn herself. She'd had a few mishaps in the past, and if she could get someone else to do the hot stuff for her, Geralina definitely would. Besides, Dorian needed something to do, he couldn't just watch, or chill out while the women did all the hard work. Geralina didn't entirely trust him to join in in the cake mixing part, she had no idea whether he could bake or not, but she'd rather not chance it. It was amazing how much they had grown closer over the years since they'd lost Paris. She would count Dorian as one of her closest friends if asked, and it was strange to even think that once upon a time she had looked at him with swooning teen eyes and dubbed him "Hot Humbert". Now he was just Dor, but there was still so much about him that she had to learn. Like whether he could bake. _______________________ tag: Dorian Michael Humbert words: 1035 notes: <3 outfit: Comfy for cake! template by izzy [googlefont="Lovers Quarrel"][googlefont="Cinzel Decorative"]

Dreaming of a family Christmas Geralina let out a gentle laugh when Dorian told her Ariel was already quite spoiled. "Well, she's the only one to spoil," she countered, stroking Ariel's soft curls as she bobbed the baby up and down on her knee. "Is there such a thing as being too spoiled for your first Christmas?" she asked Ariel, who grinned up at her. A definite no. She was sure Dorian wasn't the type to spoil a child, he was far too sensible, and was probably one of those people who only kept toys that were being played with regularly, and gave the rest away to a charity or something. Unlike Geralina, who still had cat toys that none of her cats played with any more, and had a terrible tendency to hoard things until the end of time. It wasn't really a purposeful decision, she was just far too sentimental, and she knew she needed to toughen up, but really, when you had a magical attic that could hold an immeasurable amount of crap, you really didn't need to throw anything away if you didn't want to. That was her excuse anyway, and she was sticking to it for now. Maybe one day she would harden herself up and have a good clear out. Maybe. It might be an idea to let Dorian loose in her attic one day. In the very very distant future. If she ever lost her mind. She turned to the fair man on her other side as he said her name, realising that she didn't have a clue who he was, but he must have been told there was someone called Geralina coming today. That made her feel uncomfortable immediately. What else had they said about her? Feeling a little bit on the spot as he looked at her, she met his gaze, but wanted desperately to look away. She couldn't. He was so handsome, and that was enough to throw her off keel without him actually speaking to her. Julian Blackthorne. Had she heard that name before? Probably not, but he followed up by telling her that he was Ariel's Uncle, and then it all clicked into place. Dorian's long lost brother! Well his gorgeousness made sense now, too. He was related to Hot Humbert, for Merlin's sake. "Oh, hi!" She sounded as surprised as she was, though she did manage to hold her hand out and shake his quickly. "It's nice to meet you." She glanced down at Ariel with a wide smile, her awkwardness fading slightly when she focused on the baby. "Is this your uncle?" she asked, turning Ariel around so that she could see Julian a bit better. "Do you want to go to Uncle Julian?" She placed a swift kiss on the top of Ariel's head and passed her over to Julian carefully, feeling like she really couldn't keep the baby from her family any longer, even though she'd only held her for all of a couple of minutes. _______________________ tag: Dorcas Amilie Meadowes , Dorian Michael Humbert , Julian Astraeus Blackthorne , Emily Jane Meadowes and André Daniel Meadowes . notes: <3 words: 537 outfit: T'is the season to be awkward! template by izzy [googlefont="Lovers Quarrel"]

Dreaming of a family Christmas It only took a moment for the door to open, and Geralina's eyes drank in the gorgeous sight of Dorcas Meadowes. She was a tiny little thing, but just stunning, and she knew it, and in that dress she'd have Santa himself drooling and divorcing Mrs Claus for a shot at the Auror. "You look amazing!" Geralina grinned at her friend, who had been just as tiny and just as beautiful back when they were only first and second years at Hogwarts, and held out the bag of Christmas presents as she stepped through the door, Dorcas wishing her a Merry Christmas. Geralina was about to wish her the same and maybe give her a quick hug despite Dorcas not being the affectionate type, but the brunette's next words halted any plans she had immediately. "Merry-eeeeeee!" she squealed halfway through her greeting, her smile brightening as she completely bypassed Dorcas altogether and practically pranced into the lounge to see the cutest baby she had ever seen. That wasn't even an exaggeration, Ariel was just that adorable. Her pace slowed when she entered the room and saw a strange guy sitting there opposite Dorian, who had Ariel in his lap. It didn't halt her completely, I mean, there was a strange - and gorgeous, oh Merlin! - guy in the room, but it wasn't enough to squash her excitement at seeing Ariel for her first Christmas. "Hi," she greeted the two men a little sheepishly, her usual awkwardness not letting her down. Thanks awkwardness. But she still crossed the room and bent to beam at little Ariel, her tone much more enthusiastic this time. "Hi, beautiful!" she cooed, stroking a gentle hand over Ariel's soft hair, and glancing to Dorian. "Can I have a cuddle?" she asked, already scooping Ariel up without an answer and holding her close. "She's gotten so big!" She was certainly heavier, and look how strong she was, practically holding herself up, though Geralina kept a careful hand on the back of her head, just in case she thrashed. Dropping Dorian's baby on Christmas day would not be the best move. "You're so big! Yes you are!" she said to Ariel, who beamed at the attention she was getting. "Happy first Christmas, Santa gave me some surprises for you!" She sat herself down on a chair with the baby, completely engrossed in fussing over her for more of those smiles. She hadn't even noticed that she still had her coat on. _______________________ tag: Dorcas Amilie Meadowes , Dorian Michael Humbert , Julian Astraeus Blackthorne , Emily Jane Meadowes and André Daniel Meadowes . notes: <3 outfit: T'is the season to be awkward! template by izzy [googlefont="Lovers Quarrel"]

Dreaming of a family Christmas It was weird working on Christmas Day. She hadn't even thought about that element of working at a boarding school, that the staff - or at least some of them - would be required to stay over the holidays. She had been asked to work this year, and though it had been kind of crappy to have to tell her family that she couldn't be with them to celebrate on the day, she'd still managed to work something out so that she could escape the castle for a few hours. Dorcas' parents had always been lovingly dubbed 'Auntie Em' and 'Uncle Andre' by Geralina since she was at school. They were such loving people, and she always had an invite to any occasion with them, even after Paris had died she had still carried on going to the Meadowes family. They kept her connected in a way Dorcas couldn't. Though Dorcas was Paris' cousin, she was as useless as a chocolate teapot - not that chocolate was ever useless - when it came to opening up about her emotions, and so getting any kind of Paris connection from her was impossible. Her parents, however, had pictures of Paris dotted about their home, and spoke about their niece openly and with great affection. It helped heal Geralina's heart to be around them, and so she had found a way to get away from the castle for lunch. Her booted feet landed on the snow covered street just outside the boundary of their lovely little cottage, and she stomped the snow off of them before walking up the path to the front door. She wasn't sure who else would be there today. Certainly all of the Meadoweses, possibly Dorian and his adorable baby niece. Or was she his daughter now? It was hard to know what to refer to her as in such a sensitive situation, but whatever she was called, niece, daughter, she was the most precious little thing. Geralina smiled as the bell on the door gave its familiar chime, and she waited for someone to answer, hoping she hadn't missed dinner altogether. She had a gift bag gripped in one hand filled with presents for the family, and she had almost forgotten it in her rush to get out of the castle. It wasn't unusual for her to be late to most places that she went, but she'd feel awful if she was knocking on their door while they were in the middle of eating. And oh, she could smell the food. Please let there be some potatoes left, at the very least! Andre's potatoes were everything! _______________________ tag: Dorcas Amilie Meadowes , Dorian Michael Humbert , Julian Astraeus Blackthorne , Emily Jane Meadowes and André Daniel Meadowes . notes: <3 outfit: T'is the season to be awkward! template by izzy [googlefont="Lovers Quarrel"]

Before the Night Begins Lenore happily jumped in to talking about her grandmother's cooking and how it just didn't compare to house elf cooking. Was anything really better than your grandma's cooking? Geralina didn't think so. She remebered her own nan making the most amazing roast dinners, and her mum's were second best, but she often wondered as she got older if her own kids would say their nan did the best and Geralina's was second. It was probably a pattern that every family followed. Unless you were Dorcas. She couldnt imagine her having grandchildren bragging about her cooking, she could barely make toast without burning the kitchen down. Snapping herself out of her thoughts, she grinned around a mouthful of chocolate cake. "Oh, me and your gram-gram have tea every Tuesday," she said sweetly. "I can't promise I won't slip up." She was joking, of course, though she honestly would have tea on Tuesday's with Lenore's grandmother if she was asked. Everybody knew that saying no wasn't her strong point. Saying no to an old lady was an even harder task. Carmen helped herself to some cake and had the same reaction Geralina had when she'd first tasted it. "Isn't it just heaven," she smiled, feeling more and more comfortable as the other women settled into conversation. Carmen was new to the castle, and it was very enjoyable - and quite fancy - hearing her delightful American accent whenever she spoke. Geralina often forgot that Carmen was from America until the doe eyed lady opened her mouth, then a silly grin of admiration usually crept on to Geralina's pale face. "What was the food like at Ilvermorny?" she asked, overly curious about the American wizarding school. She'd have loved to be able to go there, even just for a short visit, and any of the other magical schools for that matter, just to see what they were like. It was pretty cool having someone who had been there around to ask. Not that she had the confidence to be that nosy most of the time, but since she saw an opening, she might as well jump on it. She didn't know much about the American school, only bits and pieces from books that she'd read over the years, but she imagined their house elves would be just as talented in the culinary department as the British ones. _______________________ tag: @lenore and @carmen notes: Outfit <3 template by izzy[googlefont="Lovers Quarrel"]

Before the Night Begins Geralina sliced the cake as the two other women excused themselves to get what they had come for. She still cut three slices in case either woman wanted some, it would be rude not to, but she left the other two along with the main body of the cake on the plate and picked her own gooey chunk of heaven up, biting into it and letting out a moan at how amazing it tasted. "Oh, Merlin," she muttered, enjoying the moment while she didn't have an audience. She could hear Lenore chatting with Mormin about something, and Carmen making coffee, but Geralina had everything she could ever want right there in her mouth. She licked her lips as Lenore, and then Carmen a moment later, made their way over to the fire place to sit with her. Best to not be a greedy piggy, though she was comfortable enough with the ladies to not have to worry too much, they likely wouldn't mind her enjoying her treat at all. She was just glad it wasn't Tristan she'd bumped into. As comfortable as they'd been together for their Hogwarts years, she would have cancelled her cake and made an excuse to leave, awkward as anything around him now that they were back in each others lives. The women sitting by the fire with her were far more preferable to her right now. She supposed this was when they were supposed to make small talk, or just chat about their day or whatever, but Geralina didn't have the foggiest what to say right then. She had expected to be sitting alone for a while until her shift ended, not chatting up a storm with two other people. Then again, two other people were better than one, they could talk to each other while she took a back seat if necessary. She didn't really want to seem antisocial, though, she had made a promise to Paris after she had died that she would try and be more confident and make more of an effort to force herself out of her comfort zone, to take on a bit of that Paris get up and go. It wasn't going spectacularly so far, but she figured it was a work in progress and she'd get there eventually. She didn't think this was the moment to force conversation, however, so she focused on taking another bite of her cake and enjoying that while she waited for one of the other women to lead the conversation. _______________________ tag: @lenore and @carmen notes: Outfit (No worries, lovely! <3) template by izzy[googlefont="Lovers Quarrel"]

Frosty Days
Heart racing in panic, Geralina was a little bit relieved to see the blonde girl holding her finger up to Tala and chatting to him, a smile on her face. She was a pet friendly one, thank Merlin for that! Some kids didn't like owls at all, Geralina had seen a few of them having a moment of horror at breakfast when the post came in. It was the wings, something about the flapping wings stirred up a feeling of panic and the need to flee. Geralina's mum was the exact same, any time she was around any kind of bird, she ran away if it flapped it's wings. It had always seemed silly to Geralina when she was a child, and she'd laugh often at her poor terrified mother, but now as an adult, she understood it a bit better. It was always better to be cautious, though this girl didn't seem to have any issues with Tala at all. So far. He could be a bit of a grump in his old age, she would hate for him to nip anyone, even though owls were kind of known for that anyway.
A shock every so often is good for you? Geralina definitely didn't agree with that. She'd prefer a shock free life, thank you very much, but disagreeing with someone wasn't her favourite thing to do, so she laughed with a small nod. "So they say," she smiled, happy to have found a response that wasn't her lying by agreeing with the girl. Loopholes, loopholes. They were wonderful at stopping one from being a two-faced liar. "I am sorry, though," she said once more, stopping beside the small girl and pointing to Tala. "Tala must have liked the look of you, he's a law unto himself." Never a truer word spoken. Giving a quick whistle which Tala was trained to respond to by flying to her, she looked at him. Tala looked back at her. He didn't move. She whistled again. Nothing. Perfect. "Tala, come here," she said with an awkward laugh, holding her arm out for him to hop on to. Tala stayed put on the blonde's shoulder. "I think you're stuck with him," she curled her lip in an embarrassed cringe. This was uncomfortable. She hadn't planned on standing around chatting to a student while she waited for her own to detach himself from said student's shoulder. Awkward.

Frosty Days
Geralina laughed as Tala, her tiny old elf owl, nipped at her finger for another treat. She didn't often bring him to work with her, but she knew he loved the castle, and had missed his days living there when he had been at school with her. He had been her first ever owl, right back in her first year of school, and now he was a very old man, but he came to life when she brought him with her to fly around the grounds. It was beautiful to see him having such a treat in his twilight years, as she didn't know how much longer he would be with her. It wasn't something she liked to dwell on, though, and instead she focused on how content he was each day, that was enough for her. Reaching into her pocket for a tiny owl treat, he snatched it from her hand as soon as she offered it up to him, and and she tickled the feathers at the nape of his neck with one finger. He was still as soft as the day she bought him.
"No snatching," she told him firmly, though her tone was far too gentle. She really didn't like telling him off. "You need to be a good boy or you won't be able to co-" And he was off. Without bothering to listen to her boring cautioning, he gave a few hard flaps of his tiny wings and soared off across the grounds, sailing around a copse of trees and out of sight. "Tala!" she called, breaking into a jog to try and catch up with him. She eventually rounded the trees to see him heading straight for a blonde girl who was trundling along the path. "Tala, watch out! Come back!" she called, picking up speed as he let out a hoot of defiance. He had always been stubborn and hard to train, but Geralina knew he also got a kick out of being a rebel. He flew straight into the girl, gripping her shoulder and trying his best to find a perch on it to sit on. Grey-blue eyes widened, and Tala's owner skidded to a halt in horror as she watched her owl probably scare the life out of a poor unsuspecting student. "I am so sorry!" she called, forcing herself to move again and closing the gap between herself and the girl with the tiny owl clinging to her shoulder.

Tersha Alara Knight & Fergus Jefferson Bones Definitely friendly. She thinks he's really dull, but she's nice to him because he was Paris' friend and she sort of just got used to him. Lmfao She'd have been completely drunk at said party and probably doesn't remember half of what she said to him, but she'd remember him as being a great listener. X'D She'd say hi and chat his leg off if they ever ran into each other! Geralina Amara Drake & Fergus Jefferson Bones She adores him. She just walks into the staff room, sees him sitting in there, plonks herself down near him, annnnnnd relax! She finds him really easy to talk to and genuinely values his friendship. Plus he has all the animals! All the animals! She definitely visits him when she should be working, or takes slightly longer breaks to "ooh" and "ahhh" over shiny new creatures that he has in for the day. <3 Tristan Jude Dearborn & Fergus Jefferson Bones He would have gone to a Christmas bash, yeah! I think they'd get on really well, nerd fest! Lessons on mooncalf (mooncalves? XD) where Tristan attends and gives a little bit about the astronomy side of things to the kids. It'd be cute if they did a few team up lessons like that. I'm sure there are enough night loving creatures for them to cover. XD Definitely great mates since Trist started at the castle! Echo Arista Everwood & Fergus Jefferson Bones Lmfaoooo Yes!! I can just picture his face "well he deserved it" written all over it. X'D He's her favourite Professor. Both her parents are zoologists, so CoMC is her best lesson, the only one she doesn't struggle with (DADA is second, everything else she sucks at, except flying, duh). So yeah, she just looks forward to his lessons and does really well and is slightly overenthusiastic sometimes. She once got a chunk of her hair singed off getting too close to a blast ended skrewt, but aside from the odd accident, best lesson everrrr! <3 @leif & Fergus Jefferson Bones I keep tagging him as 'fergua', this is hard! LOL Anyway! Leif would be a bit embarrassed if he knew that Gus based lessons off his dad's work. He's not into bragging about all of that side of his family life at all, but he's quietly proud of his knowledge and experience with magical creatures, and he'd do his best to not be the class swat, he gets all O's of course, but he doesn't rub it in anyone's faces, and he gives others a chance to raise their hand in lessons and answer things, and then if nobody else does, he just pipes up with the perfect answer and then gets on with whatever work they're doing. XD He'd offer to help Professor Bones out outside of lessons if he ever needed it, and be really enthusiastic and eager about any extra bits or bobs he got to do. Livia Eleanor Grace Burke & Fergus Jefferson Bones She got E's in his lesson, so she was pretty good. Her problem is she can't resist a baby animal, so anything small and cute would have gotten her her best results, bigger things she might have been a bit less interested, unless it involved a thrill of some sort. XD

Happiness Can Be Found The mere mention of Kit's father made Geralina feel awkward. She had met him just the once when he'd been at Kit's house, visiting, and she'd popped in to drop some books off for Kit. Well, that had ended up with her being completely and utterly dumbstruck at how insanely hot Max Devereaux was, and she was pretty sure she'd made the worst impression ever on him. He probably thought she was a mute. She'd made her excuses to leave as soon as possible, and she was pretty sure her face had been red the entire time, not to mention he would have been able to hear her heart beating a million times faster than usual whenever she looked into those dark, dark eyes. Merlin, that was something she didn't want to repeat any time soon, and it was also something she had found herself daydreaming about. So very wrong, but sooo good. But he was Kit's dad, and Kit was her friend. More like a little brother, actually, she felt very protective over him and so drooling all over his gorgeous father wasn't really appropriate. Those eyes, though... She was grateful for Dumbledore's voice breaking through her thoughts, and her head was soon filled with thoughts of death and sadness as she listened to the old man speak of such a terrible loss. She couldn't imagine what those close to the Netherly family were going through. She supposed something similar to what she had been through when Paris had died last spring. Just over half a year ago there had been one of these meetings for her, and Geralina had had to make a swift exit from the room, hiding herself away in the back of the building and just sobbing until she couldn't breathe. She hadn't wanted anyone to see her cry, but at the same time, she didn't want to leave and be disrespectful to her best friend by not staying to honour her. She had stayed, she'd chatted to the house elves in the kitchen for a very long time, managing to eventually stop crying and then show her face again in the main room. It had been an awful night for her, and she didn't like remembering it, either. The loss of her oldest friend would never not hurt, she knew that now, but she had found a way to keep the tears away, and that was good enough to get her through times like this. Speech over, Dumbledore moved away from the front of the room, and Kit turned to her immediately, asking about work. Geralina nodded. "Yeah, I was just finishing up for the day when I got the note," she said, noting that Kit wasn't in work gear and so he must have come from home. Her grey-blue eyes roamed the room while she spoke, settling on a small house elf who was sneaking through legs on it's way to the food table on the other side of the room. It was what was on the tray it carried in it's teeny hands that really drew Geralina's attention, and she glanced at Kit. "There are truffles," she moaned, nudging his arm with her elbow, being careful not to make either of their drinks spill. "Come over with me so I don't look greedy going by myself," she said quietly, knowing Kit wouldn't refuse. He wasn't as into chocolate as she was, but he'd do what he could to make her feel less uncomfortable in her actions, she trusted him that much. The pair made their way across the room together, drinks in hand, and Geralina immediately grabbed a small chocolate truffle from the platter they were piled up on, taking a bite and feeling like she could float with happiness at how delicious it was. "Oh, Merlin, before we leave you have to hide me with your coat or something so I can stuff a load of these in my pockets," she laughed, taking another bite. _______________________ tag: Dorcas Amilie Meadowes , Albus P.W.B Dumbledore , Lily Joanne Potter , James Henry Potter , @phouxee , Tristan Jude Dearborn , Christopher Erebus Devereaux and everyone! notes: Outfit <3 template by izzy[googlefont="Lovers Quarrel"]

Happiness Can Be Found She had finished dinner in the great hall, and was tidying the back room in the library when the phoenix appeared in the fireplace that was lit in the corner. She had been ready to get her coat and go home, but the note that fluttered out of the flames made her plans change, and Geralina felt quite put out that she'd be staying out longer when all she had wanted to do all day was curl up on her couch with her cats and just relax. It was cold, and it had been a long day, but she supposed there was nothing she could do about it. The Order was important to her, and to many others, and if she was needed for a meeting, then she was needed for a meeting, she couldn't exactly not go, or cry off sick, Dumbledore had seen her at the castle today. She had no choice but to suck it up and go. Pulling her grey coat down from the coat stand in the corner of the office, she tugged it on and reached under her desk for her bag and scarf, heading out and making sure the library doors were locked behind her. On her way down the stairs to the entrance hall, she did a double take as she realised someone was walking beside her, and gave an amused smile at Professor Dearborn, knowing he was headed to the same place as her, but not being able to acknowledge it out loud in case any of the students passing them overheard and wondered what on earth an "Order meeting" was. Tristan smirked back at her, and they carried on down the stairs in happy silence, Geralina hanging back as he opened the front doors for her. With a quiet thank you, she slipped out into the cold, Tristan falling into step beside her once more as they crunched down the pathway through the grounds, and to the castle gates. Once outside, Geralina turned to her old beau and quirked an eyebrow. "Bet I beat you there," she quipped, turning on her heel and disapparating without warning, popping into existence outside of the familiar headquarters of the Order of the Phoenix. It only took Tristan a few seconds to pop in a few feet away, and she grinned and held her invitation up to the front door, watching as it crumbled to ash and the door drifted open before them. She entered ahead of Tristan and took off her coat, leaving it with the others and waiting for him before entering the main room where everyone was waiting. After a bit of small talk, she left his side and went to stand beside Kit, who looked rather uncomfortable. Offering a small wave to the others in the room, she helped herself to a glass of lemonade and gave Kit a reassuring smile. "Breathe," he whispered to him, teasing. _______________________ tag: Tristan Jude Dearborn , Albus P.W.B Dumbledore , Dorcas Amilie Meadowes , Lily Joanne Potter , James Henry Potter , Christopher Erebus Devereaux and everyone! notes: Outfit <3 template by izzy[googlefont="Lovers Quarrel"]

Before the Night Begins Though Geralina's reaction was to try and remain as still as possible, hand over her mouth, the other at her chest as she tried to calm her heart rate, Lenore's reaction was to apologise and worry and flap her arms about in some sort of crazy game of charades that Geralina actually understood. "No, it's fine, I'm alright. Are you alright? I think we're both alright," she rambled, moving her hand from her mouth to run it through her hair and letting out a long calming breath as another person came crashing into view around the corner. Grey-blue eyes wide, Geralina let out a small gasp that turned into a laugh at the sight of the school healer, Carmen, who looked like she'd just sprinted for her life through the kitchens to see what the trouble was. "Sorry, Carmen," she laughed, "we're just being jumpy and weird." That was an understatement. It was late at night, but not edgy enough to make everyone ready to scream at the smallest thing, though crashing head first into someone wasn't exactly a small thing. She glanced back at Lenore. "And we've got a healer in case either of us gets a black eye!"She was joking, nobody was going to get hurt. Again. She hoped. A small tap at her knee made her glance down, and she saw Mormin the house elf hovering beside her looking like he didn't want to be rude and interrupt the three women. "Excuse me, Miss Drake," he squeaked nervously, huge eyes drifting to Lenore and Carmen. "Mormin has brought your cake." Sure enough, in his hand was a pretty enormous silver platter - enormous compared to his tiny hands - with a warm and gooey chocolate cake on it. "Oh! Thank you, Mormin!" she declared, acting quickly to take the heavy platter from the elf so he wouldn't have to struggle under it's weight any longer. The scent of warm chocolate hit her right in the face and Geralina closed her eyes and inhaled deeply, a smile caressing her ruby lips. "Ladies, I think we're set for the night," she said, lifting the cake up in front of the other women and nodding her head towards the couch by the crackling fireplace across the room. "Come on," she led the way, making sure not to tip the platter and have the cake slide to the floor, and she set it down on the coffee table in front of the couch, perching on the end cushion and lifting the knife to slice three greedy pieces. _______________________ tag: @lenore and @carmen notes: Outfit <3 template by izzy[googlefont="Lovers Quarrel"]

Christopher Erebus Devereaux & @will Well I'll PM our Dumbledore and see what he thinks of Kit trying to bring Will into the fold in person. He's great at his job and would probably be a good asset to the Order, so we shall see! =) Geralina Amara Drake & @will She'd talk to him if he made the effort to approach her. She'd be dying inside at how hot he is, but she'd try her best to get through it in one piece, and if he was confident and friendly she'd relax into it. She can be quite witty and fun when she feels comfortable around people, so I guess it would be up to him and how he was with her. XD Let me know if you wanna thread them at all!

Echo Arista Everwood & @fable I think these two could be friends, Max is a year younger but Echo would adore her bright, fun ways and be drawn to her for that. She'd hang out with her around the castle and I can see them being silly together sneaking into the kitchens to make snacks and just laughing the whole time. @leif & @fable Again, Leif would love her fun ways, and he'd really like how she seems so upbeat and positive a lot of the time, because he's pretty good himself at finding the positives in most situations. He's not as energetic about it as Max is, though, and he'd find it a tiny bit tiring after a while, but he'd enjoy her company in shorter bursts. Lol Friends? Geralina Amara Drake & @carmen Work buddies! Geralina has worked at the castle for a year and a half now as the librarian, so she would have been someone to welcome Carmen when she started as a Healer. She's a bit quiet and on the shy side, though tries her best to force herself out of her shell with new people, since she hates being the awkward one and wants to be more confident in social situations. She'd find Carmen fascinating because she's from America, and really enjoy chatting to her and generally just listening to her accent. LOL She makes a great friend, though, so these two could definitely be building themselves a nice little friendship, and they're around the same age, too. I could see them being really good friends. Tersha Alara Knight & @carmen Tersha is kind of American, too! She was born in England, lived in America for ten years until she got her Hogwarts letter, then went back to England for school, so she has a weird half accent, but yeah, they totally have that in common. XD Plus, they're the same age. Tersha can be a bit of a bitch, though, she's a writer for the Daily Prophet and has an advice column, too, she's super blunt and will walk all over anyone to get what she wants, BUT! I can see her hearing Carmen's accent in the street and being all "Oooh, an American!" and being nice and chatting to her, so if you ever fancy having them run into each other somewhere, they could potentially be friends! XD
