Ollie had been telling her all about this Leo guys house for ages. Apparently he had an awesome bar in the living room, fully stocked with all kinds of tasty treats, and she was really hoping the pool was as amazing as Ollie made it out to be because she had on a bikini underneath her dress and she wanted to use it. She'd ditched heels for the occasion, opting for comfy flip flops which would probably get kicked off about ten minutes after they arrived. Her fingers were twined tightly with Ollie's as they apparated to a stunning lake house. "Whoa, I didn't think you meant an actual lake, I thought it'd be like, a pond or something," Echo said, eyes roving the scenery around the gorgeous house. "I wouldn't mind living in a place like this," she mused, wondering if she'd ever earn enough money to be able to buy a massive house outright. That'd be the dream. And a dog, of course.

London was standing in the drive with a tall blonde girl and Lunete Dearborn, Ollie's ex, and actually a really nice person. "Lunete, hi!" Echo gave her an excited wave, and grinned at Lo and the blonde while Ollie asked if everyone was there yet. She had no idea who else they were waiting on, or how many people Lola had actually invited, but the more the merrier as far as Echo was concerned. There was an older bloke standing a little way away and Echo watched him curiously for a second as he stood there looking like a spare part. He obviously wasn't one of their group but why was he just standing there on his own? Strange. Echo let out a little squeak of surprise as the loud pop of someone apparating sounded behind her, and she spun to see who it was.

Echo gave a swish of her wand, and she could hear the bottle of coke immediately fighting its way out of the fridge upstairs. Ollie's house was set out strangely. The living room was downstairs, the kitchen upstairs, and then bedrooms above that, but it was cute, and she'd gotten used to the layout by now. She could picture the coke bottle zooming down the stairs, and put her wand on the coffee table as she sat up to catch the bottle before it could slam into anything breakable. It looked like it had been shaken up quite a bit on its journey, and she glanced at Ollie, who was sprawled next to her on the couch. "This is gonna explode if I try and open it." She was really thirsty though. She turned the cap a tiny bit and the bottle hissed loudly, causing her to tighten it quickly and hold it away from her. Damn.

Maybe if she wrapped her top around it. Then again, it wasn't her top, she had borrowed one of Ollie's t-shirts this morning. And a pair of his sweatpants, too. They'd hung out all day yesterday, and now they were on day two, so to save her own clothes from looking a complete mess, she usually borrowed something of Ollie's. Plus, they were big and way more comfortable than her jeans. She didn't want to ruin his t-shirt, though, so she abandoned the drink on the coffee table and resigned herself to waiting until it had calmed down.

Echo swapped her burger for her milkshake watching him with wide eyes as Ollie tried to act cool. It was cute of him to try and pretend that he wasn't a total dork, but she saw right through him. Most people would have been able to, to be fair, he wasn't the best actor in the world. But that smile... Echo put her glass down on the table for fear she might drop it while she was melting into a puddle under Ollie's grin. Now she was grinning, too, as she nodded her head. "A really great broom," she agreed. "Like, maybe your broom?" She reached up to wind a strand of his cocoa hair around her finger. "I'd ditch anyone to ride your broom."

Echo nearly spat out her burger laughing at Ollie's reaction to the strawberry cheese fiasco. She put a hand over her mouth and swallowed down a huge lump of meat before it could choke her, though she doubted it would be as embarrassing as the face Ollie was pulling in public. He looked like a rabid camel and it was adorable. Merlin, she had it bad. He could probably pull any face at all, and no matter how hideous it was, Echo would find it cute. Luckily it was the middle of the night and there wasn't anyone else in the little eatery to witness his face, or her heart eyes. She shook her head when he asked if she would be going over to his place at the weekend. "No, I've got plans," she said, seriously. "New broom kit came. I wanna try the twig trimmers out, so I'm gonna do that instead." Her face was deadpan as she watched him over the top of her burger. There was no way she'd pass up on hanging out with him in favour of grooming her broom, but there was no harm in making him sweat a bit.

Echo slumped in her seat. "Urgh. You know you're terrible at flirting, right?" She was smiling, despite him insinuating that she was a sweaty pig after matches. She knew it was just him trying and failing to cope with her flirting with him. She'd learned pretty quickly that Ollie got awkward fast when it came to being smooth or suave. He lacked the gene that allowed him to sync his brain and his mouth around girls, and though it could border on offensive sometimes, Echo found him adorable. He was funny, he made her laugh, and that was way more important than flirting. That, and his hair. If he ever cut it short, she wasn't sure she'd be able to cope. He also made a huge effort to satisfy her love of food, which was a major bonus, and they both ordered far too much when the waiter finally came back to take their order.

"Oh, wow," Echo murmured as they stepped inside. She had pinched Ollie's bum when he went through the door, but that wasn't what got the reaction from her. The walls in the diner were covered in old newspaper pages. They didn't move like magical ones did, but they had been stuck up there that long that some of the news they displayed was fascinating. She didn't know where to look first, though it didn't matter once the old bloke who worked there dumped some menus on their table, Echo's attention was all for them and the food they offered. Ollie spent a bit of time advising her what to stay away from, but she really only had eyes for the triple cheeseburger that was pictured in the burger section. If it came out looking anything like that picture, she would be in her own personal heaven. And of course, cheesy fries to go with it, but they could share a batch of those. "How do you find these places?" she asked Ollie. He was a little bit older than her, but he seemed to have travelled and discovered little patches of the world that she thought she would never have stumbled across on her own.
