Whatever they say your soul's unbreakable For all she hated Dora Parkinson, the witch sure did have a nice house. Echo could have stayed in front of that fire all night, snuggled up next to Ollie. Or more, snuggled up against Ollie's lips. They'd aced looking after Dora's baby - come on, three baths wasn't a lot, right? - and little Pansy - no comment on the name choice there - was fast asleep in her room. It had gone swimmingly. She hadn't even gotten a single spot of sick on her, which she was quite proud of, and Ollie had dealt with the poop explosion like a gentleman. Seeing him looking after a baby like it was the easiest thing in the world made him infinitely more attractive, which had surprised Echo. She didn't think she could fancy him any more, but seeing him cleaning poop and barf? Yeah. That was the weirdest form of hot she had ever witnessed. She hadn't told him that. She'd save that for some other time. It was still early days in their relationship, she didn't need to scare him off with strange confessions just yet. She had snogged the face off of him at the first opportunity they had, though. Her nose crinkled when he pulled away at the sound of the front door. She tried to cling on to her good mood as Ollie put a finger to his lips and left the room. She could hear him talking to Dora in hushed tones out in the hallway - if you could call Dora's obnoxious non-whisper hushed - and she reached down to the floor to grab her boots, sinking back into the couch cushions so she would be mostly out of sight if Dora popped her drunken little troll head into the room. She could catch a bit of conversation floating in through the doorway: "knight in shining armour... have to pay you properly." Echo rolled her eyes. She would barge out there and smack the whore, only there was a baby in the house, and she did not want to be the possessive girlfriend type. Echo was perfectly content that Ollie had no interest in Whore-a, and there was no point causing a drama. Ollie was friends with bitch face for whatever reason, and she wouldn't make that uncomfortable for him just because she hated every fibre of Whore-a's being. Besides, the baby was cute, and the cosy house was a bonus. Best not spoil it. She sat upright when she heard Dora's footsteps on the stairs, pulling her boots on. Ollie was there, running his hand through his hair, and it took every ounce of willpower for Echo not to drag him back onto the couch again. He saved himself by mentioning food, and she bounced up with renewed energy. "Oooh, cheesy fries!" she grinned, trying to keep her voice down. She crossed the room to him, sliding her hands along his chest, over his shoulders and around his neck. "I'll get messy with you any time." She leaned closer, as if to kiss him. Closer. Closer. Stopped just before her lips met his. "I'll get my coat." She pulled away with a naughty smirk, and tried to remember where she'd put her coat. Hanging it out in the hallway in plain sight was not an option since she wasn't supposed to be there. She remembered draping it over a dining room chair, but she was sure she'd moved it. Better check there first. _______________________ tag: Oliver Osiris Devereaux and Euphadora Rose Parkinson words: 612 notes: Devereverwood! <3 outfit: Jeans, jumper, cozy boots on the floor. template by izzy [googlefont="Over the Rainbow"][googlefont="Cinzel Decorative"]

Whatever they say your soul's unbreakable "Ohh, you mean you and my mum," she said with a nod of understanding. Her mum was probably the only person on the planet who carried Echo's picture around. Her dad used to, too, though his pictures were a little out of date now. She knew her mum kept a box of his personal belongings in the attic, all neat and tidy and well cared for. Echo took a peek in there every now and again and had a good cry. She knew her dad would be incredibly proud of her for achieving her dream and not giving up. He hadn't known much about Quidditch, but he used to love watching her flying around the back garden on a kids broom when she was little. The magical world had fascinated him to no end, and he would have been cheering louder than anyone in the stands, never missing a match. She never doubted that for a second, and though he couldn't be there physically, she liked to think he might be watching over her from somewhere, though she wasn't sure she believed in that, either. Wasn't that in a similar vein to Sera's palm reading? Her friend studied her palm eagerly, and Echo watched patiently as she traced a finger down different lines that looked nothing more than creases on Echo's hand. How could they mean something? Did the tiny scar on her thumb mean something, too? Or was that simply a reminder of the time she'd been stuck by a thorn on the grounds of Hogwarts in her second year? Sera began to ramble off her predictions, and a reluctant smile started to form on Echo's face. "I'm not hiding anything," she said. "You'd be better just asking me, you'll get the actual truth." That was true, though not without its loopholes. She may have been hiding a few things, but she'd be honest if anyone got lucky enough to hit on the right subject and quiz her about it. Her range of facial expressions was probably quite comical to anyone watching their table, and Echo crinkled her nose when Sera mentioned her getting took out of a game at some point in the not too distant future. She shook her head, rejecting that notion, but her eyes went wide when Sera released her hand, announcing that Echo had her eye on someone. "What? Who!?" she blurted, snatching her hand back and frowning down at the lines on her palm, as though they could tell her what Sera was talking about. She couldn't see herself being in a relationship by Christmas, though she did like the sound of a New Year kiss. That could be with anyone, though, her world had grown enormously since she'd gotten a spot with the Arrows, she could be anywhere on the planet for New Year, kissing some random bloke at a party. Her thoughts flitted momentarily to a certain dark haired, dark eyed someone, and she forced herself not to smile as she felt a tug at the corners of her lips. It wouldn't be him. He probably saw her like another sister, she had more chance of snogging Kal Sullivan at midnight. Not that she would mind that, either, but he was a lot older than Echo, he wasn't exactly her usual type. Did she even have a type? Round, hot, and filled with cheese and tomato. "Where is our food?" she asked, glancing around the bistro longingly for the distraction of her pizza. _______________________ tag: Seraphina Alala Devereaux words: 609 notes: <3 outfit: Snuggly. template by izzy [googlefont="Over the Rainbow"][googlefont="Cinzel Decorative"]

Whatever they say your soul's unbreakable "Left hook," she corrected him, making a fist with her left hand. She was left handed for most things, only she used her right to swing her Beater's bat since she found it easier to steer her broom with her left. Staying on the broom was slightly more important than any other aspect of the game as far as Echo was concerned, though she'd never tell her boss that. In fact, her boss and most of her new teammates had no idea that she'd probably be stronger if she swung with her left arm instead. She didn't want to risk her life for her career so she wouldn't be shouting that little titbit of information from the rooftops. She did well with her right hand and that was all anyone needed to focus on. In fact, she did throw a mean right hook, too, and either of her knees could land a good groin shot. She'd headbutted someone once, too, but that had left her with an egg on her forehead and dizzy spells, so she promised herself she'd never do that again for her own safety. Their glasses were refilled by the bartender and Echo picked hers up, nodding in fake agreement that Ollie would kick her arse into next Tuesday. Well it wasn't that fake, she had to agree to some degree that he probably would wipe the floor with her up there one on one. He had more experience, it was only natural that he'd get the better of her. She'd never roll over and give it to him easily, though. Then again, that depended on what "it" was, she could think of a few things she'd give him without too much of a fight. His hair fell over his face and she watched it swish perfectly as he brushed it back with his hand, feeling as though the room was in slow motion for a second or two. She swallowed hard and raised her glass to his. "Well then, cheers to you kissing my arse 'til next Tuesday," she said, flashing a cheeky grin and a wink to match his, though hers was less dramatic. She was grateful that her smile was hidden behind her glass as she drank, because it was far too cheesy for her liking. _______________________ tag: Oliver Osiris Devereaux words: 412 notes: <3 outfit: Press conference, shmess conference. template by izzy [googlefont="Over the Rainbow"][googlefont="Cinzel Decorative"]

Whatever they say your soul's unbreakable "Fans? What fans?" Echo laughed. She didn't think she was at that stage of her career yet. She was the newbie. The rookie. The fresh meat that everybody wanted to pound to death before deciding whether it was tender enough. Okay, that made no sense, but she was not part of the main meal yet. She was the sauce at the side of the dish that everybody gave wary looks at because they weren't sure what it was yet. She was certainly no Sullivan, who was like the most delicious hunk of meat on the menu. Nor was she a Johnson, the fine wine that went down well with everything. And she was definitely no Ollie, who was the double chocolate sundae that everyone had a second helping of because he was just so yummy. Bloody hell, she was hungry. She was a hungry mystery sauce. Though at least she was on the table, that was what mattered when it came down to it. She'd made it onto the table, and she was damn proud of herself for doing it. Sera reached across the table, wanting to read Echo's palm, and the blonde rolled her eyes with a dramatic sigh. "Urgh," she said in her moodiest tone. "You know I don't believe in all that mumbo jumbo." Of course Sera knew, Echo wasn't shy about letting people know what she did or didn't like. She'd avoided Divination at school, and thought the whole thing was just a load of nonsense. Yes, magic existed, but being able to see someone's future in a teacup, or a crystal ball, or lines on their hand? It was a bit far-fetched, wasn't it. Still, she stuck her hand out and obliged Sera, as usual, watching with a sceptical look on her face. "I'm getting trashed by arsehole reporters for being small and female and a Beater. Does it say anything about that?" she asked, glancing at her upturned palm and thinking the only thing she could predict was that it was highly likely to curl up into a fist and knock someone's teeth out before her year as a professional Quidditch player was through. That was the only prediction that she would believe today. Though she wouldn't grumble if Sera told her that her stomach would be full in the next ten minutes. Could you see stuff like that in a person's palm? _______________________ tag: Seraphina Alala Devereaux words: 426 notes: <3 outfit: Snuggly. template by izzy [googlefont="Over the Rainbow"][googlefont="Cinzel Decorative"]

Whatever they say your soul's unbreakable Echo couldn't resist a quick peek down at her boobs. She did have them, and they weren't subtle. She was short, had more of an athletic figure than anything, but the Powers That Be had blessed her with a generous rack, and there was no hiding it. Ollie was right, the sooner the press got past that little hiccough, the sooner she could just enjoy her job. "Time," she repeated with a nod. "That sounds lame compared to punching them all in the face, but I'll take your advice." She flashed a smile at him and put her own empty glass down on the bar alongside Ollie's. The bartender was busy serving someone further down the bar, but Echo stared until she got his attention and he gave her a quick nod. She took that to mean that he would be over in a minute and looked back at Ollie. Though she agreed with what he'd said - or at least thought it made sense compared to her own more primal and violent urges - his comment about himself didn't sit well with her. "You're far from a second rate player, Ollie-O," she said just loud enough for him to hear. Echo studied his face carefully. He was usually so upbeat, funny, quirky, silly. But sometimes, just occasionally, there was something more there. Small glimpses of something deeper, as though he had the weight of the world on his shoulders underneath his fun bravado. Maybe she was wrong and just reading too deeply into it, but that hidden look that he probably thought went unnoticed more often than not, paired with his self-deprecating words were pretty telling. There was a lot more to him than just being a goofball. A hot goofball. She sometimes wished she could ask Roma and Sera about him, but they'd be on to her in half a second and that couldn't happen. Besides, what would they say about their brother other than yes, he was a complete goofy idiot. It was their duty to talk shit about him, not reveal what he was really like once you got to know him better. Echo guessed she'd just have to find out herself. She was still staring when the bartender appeared asking what he could get them. Echo didn't look at him, just absentmindedly tapped the bar next to the two empty glasses. _______________________ tag: Oliver Osiris Devereaux words: 424 notes: <3 outfit: Press conference, shmess conference. template by izzy [googlefont="Over the Rainbow"][googlefont="Cinzel Decorative"]

Whatever they say your soul's unbreakable Echo began to doubt her own order as she listened to Sera tell the waitress what she wanted. Sera's pizza sounded delicious, too. Maybe too delicious. Or maybe she was just so hungry that anything would sound delicious, and once she got a plate of food placed in front of her, everything would be alright. Her eyes were always bigger than her belly, but she wasn't too bothered by it. She'd still be ordering dessert and trying to get through as much of it as she could. Giving up was for weaklings. Her sisters hated it when she said that. It was one of her favourite lines to save for near the end of a family meal, and Aeon usually kicked off, being the most delicate out of the Everwood sisters. Aeon always left half a plate full of food, and Echo couldn't help but tease. Then steal whatever chips were left on Aeon's plate. It was all in good fun, but she did love being with people who could really dig in and be pigs with her. Sera was no pig, but she could hold her own. Echo waited until the waitress had left to put in their order, and then pulled her bag out from under the table. "My mum always says shoes on a table is bad luck, but-" she pulled her new boots out, in all their knee high, rich brown leather glory -"look at these bad boys!" They were so shiny, with gleaming buckles running along the side, and a heel that wouldn't make her snap her neck. She'd be able to run in them if she wanted to, they were just perfect. And they cost an arm and a leg compared to the clothes she usually bought, which did make her feel a bit guilty, but she ignored the gnawing feeling in her gut and told herself she'd earned those boots. She passed them across the table to Sera so the brunette could admire them properly. "They look better on, but I'm not taking my shoes off in here, I've been walking all day, nobody would thank me for that." She crinkled her small nose with a laugh, imagining green clouds coming from her tired feet. There was no way she could subject an entire bistro to that. _______________________ tag: Seraphina Alala Devereaux words: 411 notes: <3 outfit: Snuggly. template by izzy [googlefont="Over the Rainbow"][googlefont="Cinzel Decorative"]

Whatever they say your soul's unbreakable Echo tried her best to keep the admiring smile from her face as she listened to Ollie talk about Tessa, and minding her kid. She managed it, mostly. Her expression was interested, smile light, nothing at all there to give away the fact that she was internally swooning at the thought of Ollie being the kind of guy who enjoyed looking after kids and babies. It was almost enough to make her ovaries explode right there on the spot, but boy did she reject the feeling. "So you're great at Quidditch, you're a pro at putting your foot in your mouth, and you're good with kids?" she asked, pale eyebrows raised playfully. "Show off." There. Covering her feelings with humour would do the trick nicely. And if that didn't work, she would just get tipsy and everything would be alright, one way or another. She lifted her glass and clinked it against his as he gave a cheers to shitty reporters. Echo grimaced, her top lip curling in distaste. He wasn't wrong. Reporters really were shit sometimes. Or was it all of the time, and she just needed to stop being so hopeful? "Urgh, I'll cheers to that," she said, gulping her firewhiskey and thinking that the reporters who were so hard on her today definitely needed to go and screw themselves. "Are they always arseholes, or does it get better?" she asked, glaring down at her glass before raising her eyes to Ollie's. She found his gaze comforting, like staring into pools of rich dark chocolate, they were warm, safe. Nothing like the dirty looks and judgemental stares she'd been under for most of the afternoon. The one comment that kept burning in the back of her mind, making her angry, was the one where she had been told she'd have been better off as a Chaser, and she wouldn't last a year as a Beater against the likes of Kal Sullivan and other huge guys that played in the position for other teams. That just made her even more determined to prove them wrong, but honestly, she'd rather be a Beater in a match against Sullivan, who just so happened to be Ollie's partner for the Falcons, than play as Chaser and have him hurling Bludgers after her. She figured she was safer where she was. Besides, she was more than capable in the position, or she wouldn't have been offered a spot with the Arrows in the first place. She had told the reporters as much, and put them in their place, and she would continue to do so as long as she had to, but it pissed her off that she had to defend herself for being a woman anyway. Gobshites. She could see herself becoming one of those sports stars that gave the finger to photographers, just to make a point. _______________________ tag: Oliver Osiris Devereaux words: 506 notes: <3 outfit: Press conference, shmess conference. template by izzy [googlefont="Over the Rainbow"][googlefont="Cinzel Decorative"]

Whatever they say your soul's unbreakable Reappearing and looking more than a little bit pleased with herself, Sera joined Echo at the table, singing along to Autumn Vexx, quite the sexy rock star. Echo hummed along happily, enjoying the show. She gave a little whoop when Sera finished. "You know, I heard Vexx is doing a concert in London this summer, we should try and get tickets, it'd be fun," she said, remembering hearing one of her teammates talking about it in the locker room last week. Autumn Vexx was really popular in the wizarding world, but Echo had never seen her live. It would be great if they could manage to get tickets and have a bit of summer fun planned. "We could ask Roma and Darcy and a few others," she added brightly, liking the idea of a group night out with some of her favourite people. She had to be careful making plans, in her line of work, you never knew when you were going to be playing away, or training, she'd learned, but if she checked her calendar, she could try and avoid any schedule clashes. Maybe Ollie would like to go, too. Echo cleared her throat, glancing again at her menu as she tried to push thoughts of Sera's older brother out of her head. Now was not the time or place to be thinking about her secret crush. Nope. Nope, nope, nope. "Yep," she answered, blue eyes scanning the bistro for the waitress. She waved a little hand at the woman, who grinned and hurried over to their table. "Ready to order, ladies?" she asked, her hip giving a little wiggle to the music as she waited, quill poised over her notepad. Echo liked her instantly for that hip wiggle. "We are," she nodded, putting her menu down. "Can I have a ham and mushroom pizza with extra cheese, please," she said, eyes widening for emphasis on the word cheese. "Like, extra cheese. Extra extra cheese. Please." She flashed another smile at the waitress, expression cheeky but hopeful. The woman chuckled and scribbled on her notepad. "Triple cheese, and a bit more," she said as she wrote. "And a raspberry cosmopolitan, too." She drummed her fingers lightly on the table as she waited for Sera to put in her own order. _______________________ tag: Seraphina Alala Devereaux words: 408 notes: <3 outfit: Snuggly. template by izzy [googlefont="Over the Rainbow"][googlefont="Cinzel Decorative"]

Whatever they say your soul's unbreakable Echo let out a laugh as Ollie told her that Tessa was drunk and basically insane in a bid to try and dig himself out of an awkward hole. "When in Rome," she shrugged as Tessa backed Ollie up playfully. There really wasn't any other place better to be a drunken nutter than behind a bar, was there. There wasn't any need for Ollie to try and cover up what he'd said. It was cute. Even if he didn't mean anything by it - clearly Tessa was just hamming it up for a bit of fun - it wasn't such an unusual thing to say. If she were meeting up with Killian, Echo would describe him to someone who didn't know him as a hot Ravenclaw. She'd also describe Sera as a sexy bartender, and Lily as a fiery bombshell quite comfortably. She didn't want to date any of them, or have a crush on her friends, but she could call them what they were without embarrassment. It really wasn't a problem. Ollie was pretty adorable when he was uncomfortable, though, and she couldn't deny she enjoyed it just a teeny bit. Ollie asked Tessa for something strong enough to stop him putting his foot in his mouth or spilling more secrets, and Echo tilted her head to look up at him. "There are secrets?" she asked, then turned to Tessa. "Something strong enough to make him not care about spilling his secrets," she said with a devilish grin. Tessa poured them both a glass of firewhiskey on the house, which would probably do the trick, and made her excuses to leave them alone, not missing the opportunity to call Echo a cute blonde one last time. Bidding the landlady farewell, Echo picked up her glass. "You two seem pretty friendly," she said, changing the subject so that Ollie wouldn't feel uncomfortable alone with her. "How do you know each other?" She'd never thought of Ollie as someone who frequented pubs enough to be best friends with the owners, but you never knew. Ollie was a pretty friendly guy, he could probably make friends in an empty room. Echo might have been giving him too much credit, but that was her opinion of him,and she kind of liked that he was so approachable and easy to get along with. _______________________ tag: Oliver Osiris Devereaux and Tessa Nicole Abbott words: 422 notes: <3 outfit: Press conference, shmess conference. template by izzy [googlefont="Over the Rainbow"][googlefont="Cinzel Decorative"]

Whatever they say your soul's unbreakable Sera chose the window table, and that was fine by Echo. She shoved her bags under the table out of the way, a little voice inside her head that sounded suspiciously like her sisters telling her to make sure they weren't crushed. She peeked inside the bag with the coat, which was still folded neatly, then inside the bag with the jeans, which also looked not at all bothered at being put under a table. The boots would be fine, they were for feet, they were made to be tough. She shrugged off her jacket and settled in while Sera ran off to load up the jukebox with all of their favourite artists. The Hook would definitely be on the list, and probably 30 Brooms to Jupiter, who were a firm favourite of Echo's since they released their first single last year. They were new, but good, and the lead singer was a real cutie. She also wouldn't mind hearing a bit of Holina Hawthorn, too, since she was having a girly day. She didn't expect any of her muggle favourites to come on, not in a magical bistro, but the wizarding world had some pretty talented artists of its own, she had to admit. Echo picked up a menu from the middle of the table and began to look through it. The waitress who had greeted them kept glancing over to the table to see if they might be ready to order yet, but only smiled and carried on seeing to other people when she saw Sera still missing. Echo was tempted to just order for both of them, but she didn't think there was room for seven pizzas on the table, and she really couldn't be sure what Sera was in the mood for. Echo knew what she wanted after half a minute of browsing the menu, and so she closed it and looked at the drinks on the back instead, thinking something fruity and alcoholic might be a nice treat. She hadn't planned on drinking today, but she also hadn't planned on having dinner with one of her best friends. Flexibility was pretty important in life. So was pudding. She looked at the dessert menu next, stomach letting out a growl as she glanced over the pictures of sundaes and pies, and ice cream, and cake, and... well, there was fruit, but she'd be getting enough of that in the cocktail she was going to order. _______________________ tag: Seraphina Alala Devereaux words: 436 notes: <3 outfit: Snuggly. template by izzy [googlefont="Over the Rainbow"][googlefont="Cinzel Decorative"]

Whatever they say your soul's unbreakable She could have stayed there for hours. Cuddling Morgana. Staring at Oliver Devereaux across the room. Just zoning out without a care in the world, her only thoughts about how the soft light reflected off of Ollie's hair, making it look lighter. Or how his nose crinkled just a tiny bit when he smiled. Or just thinking about his smile. That would have done nicely. His smile was on the smaller side as he glanced across the room, meeting her gaze and giving a little wave. Busted. Crap. Her eyes dropped to Morgana for a second as she tried to force herself to not look embarrassed that she'd just been dreamy staring at him from across the room. He didn't know that. He couldn't know that. She had only been looking. It was just a look. "It was just a look," she muttered to Morgana, who sat up at the sight of her owner waving across the room. Tessa Abbott owned the Leaky Cauldron, though Echo had never met her, not properly. The woman seemed to be having a great time waving to Echo, and she waved back, standing up and brushing dog hairs off of her pants. Morgana stood up, too, and after one final pet, made her way up the stairs to find a quieter spot, no doubt. No longer having an excuse to dawdle, Echo crossed the room, feet complaining with every step she took in those bloody awful heels. "So you'e the cute blonde Ollie's been waiting on?" Tessa said, grinning. Echo opened her mouth to say something, but found herself just gaping for a few seconds instead. Cute blonde? Had he called her that? She gave Ollie a look, eyebrows raised, before grinning back at Tessa. "Cute?" she asked, standing right next to Ollie at the bar. "He didn't call me hot?" She nudged Ollie with her hip. "You owe me more than a butterbeer for that," she told him, playfully. Tessa asked what they were having and she honestly wasn't sure what to ask for. Ollie's note had said butterbeer, but she definitely needed something stronger than that. If he wanted butterbeer, though, she'd go with it. She was sure she'd survive either way, but being called a cute blonde by your crush, even if it wasn't to your face, was something she figured butterbeer might not be able to help her with. _______________________ tag: Oliver Osiris Devereaux and Tessa Nicole Abbott words: 433 notes: <3 outfit: Press conference, shmess conference. template by izzy [googlefont="Over the Rainbow"][googlefont="Cinzel Decorative"]

Whatever they say your soul's unbreakable Sera looped her arm through Echo's and they headed on down the street in the direction they'd both originally been going in. Echo didn't know where Sera had been off to. She suspected she might have been working, but she could have had other plans. Well, whatever those plans might have been, they were well and truly dropped now, and Echo steered them arm in arm across the street towards she little bistro on the corner. "Let's go to Louie's," she said. "They have the best pizza." She really did want pizza now. Louie's was quite posh, as far as bistro's went. It was lit with the most stunning candle displays, and the tables were all made of glass. The seats were soft leather benches that were lined with the plushest cushions you had ever seen in your life, and it was far less stuffy than the proper restaurants that were popular in Whimsic Alley. It was the cute version of fancy. Fancy for the common folk, and just comfy and easy. And they really did make the best pizza. Echo used her elbow to push the door open, stepping inside the tiny eatery as a tinkling chime overhead sounded their arrival. A waitress approached the two girls immediately and waved her hand around the room with a smile. "We have a few tables open, ladies. Take your pick and I'll be right over to take your order." Well, if that wasn't much better than assigned seating, Echo didn't know what was. She much preferred being able to choose your own table, and she glanced at Sera as they stepped further into the room. "Whaddya think?" she asked, blue eyes scanning the tables on offer. It wasn't too busy, what with it only being a Thursday evening, so there was a good amount of choice for them. "Window seat?" she glanced at the window table behind Sera, and then over to the back of the room. "Or over by the jukebox?" She quite liked the though that they could control the music for the night, sitting right beside the jukebox. She didn't really mind where they sat, though, and she waited for Sera to offer up her thoughts on the matter, her bags weighing heavier in her arms the longer they stood there. She couldn't wait to put them down and just relax. And eat. Eating was top priority. _______________________ tag: Seraphina Alala Devereaux words: 426 notes: <3 outfit: Snuggly. template by izzy [googlefont="Over the Rainbow"][googlefont="Cinzel Decorative"]

Whatever they say your soul's unbreakable Sera's grin was just gorgeous as she turned around and ran to Echo, wrapping her in a hug. Echo flung her shopping bags around Sera's back and gave her a squeeze, her own smile making her cheeks hurt. She needed to spend more time with her friends, she missed Sera when they didn't get to hang out as much as they were used to, and Roma, too. And Ollie, but she wouldn't be admitting that out loud to anyone. Her crush on Sera's big brother was strictly top secret, not even her friends knew and she wanted to keep it that way for as long as possible, because the embarrassment would be too much to handle if they ever found out. She was sure neither of them would mind, but just knowing that they knew. Urgh. It would make her feel so awkward whenever she found herself in Devereaux company, and there were a lot of Devereauxs around, you weren't hard pushed to find yourself in the vicinity of one at any given moment. She couldn't even escape them at work. Not that she wanted to. She really didn't, she loved them all to bits. "Oh, I just bought the most amazing boots!" she gushed, letting Sera go and waving her shopping bags at the brunette before stopping and scrunching up her nose. "Whoa, I sounded like an actual girl, then," she realised, not usually one for being very girly at all except for on special occasions. Those boots were worth it, though, and she intended to whip them out and show Sera as soon as she got chance. She was sure the other girl would appreciate them just as much as she did. Sera was way more of a girl than Echo was, she always looked amazing, and her ability to walk in heels was something Echo would never not marvel at, though to be fair, Echo was getting better since she'd graduated. She'd gotten a lot more practice in with all of the events and official things she had to attend with the Arrows. It seemed she would be learning more skills than just ones required on a broom, and she was secretly grateful. Nobody liked to wobble around like a toddler every time they wore shoes that weren't completely flat. Sera asked what she was up to and Echo raised an eyebrow. "I was gonna get food," she said, "as if you couldn't have guessed that." It was probably one of the first things people would guess when wondering what Echo was up to. She was a foodie, she wouldn't deny it, and it was definitely the way to her heart. Or one of the ways. Animals worked, too. And Quidditch. And anything to do with being out in nature. Honestly, she was easily pleased. Right now, though, she really was hungry, and if Sera wanted her to do anything that involved something other than food, she would agree because she loved her friend and wanted to spend time with her, but she would be damned if she wasn't at least getting pizza to go along with whatever they ended up doing. Pizza and fizzy lemonade, and possibly some brownies for after. She began to think about nearby pizza places that they could stop at. She couldn't help herself. All of the different topping options floated through her head like the most delicious dance show that ever existed, and then brownies joined on the end, skipping along like happy little squares of joy. _______________________ tag: Seraphina Alala Devereaux words: 613 notes: <3 outfit: Snuggly. template by izzy [googlefont="Over the Rainbow"][googlefont="Cinzel Decorative"]

Whatever they say your soul's unbreakable After being dragged over the coals as "the newbie" of the Quidditch world, and having people question whether she was good enough, or if she could keep up with the gruelling schedule - someone had even commented that she looked tired - Echo had really needed the owl that had dropped a small note on her lap not long after she got out of the meeting from hell. Her other team members got praise, support, all the good stuff, Echo just got doubted and practically told she should turn and run now while she could, before things got too tough for her. That was never going to happen. She was no quitter, and especially so when it came to following her dream. She wouldn't give up for anything, and the more they told her that she had far to go, the more determined she was to prove to them that she could do it. But they could go and fuck and duck if they thought she was doing it for them. She would do it for herself and no one else. The note from Ollie Devereaux had been unexpected, but it had caused the first smile of the afternoon to creep onto Echo's face. It wasn't every day your crush wanted to treat you to butterbeers. She knew he'd probably listened to her pummelling and felt sorry for her. Well, he better not feel sorry for her, because she didn't want pity. She wanted to forget it ever happened and carry on carrying on, because she knew she could do it. Arsehole journalists wouldn't sway her or make her doubt herself. She did think she might need something a bit stronger than butterbeer to help take the edge off, though. She didn't even bother getting changed before she left for the Leaky Cauldron. She was required to dress smart for interviews or other official things, and though she hated the heels and silly white blousey thing she had on, the jacket was kind of cool, and she'd gotten away with wearing black jeans, so that was something. Half comfortable, she pushed open the door of the pub and paused for a moment to let her eyes adjust in the dim lighting. The first thing she saw was Ollie's back. His hair swishing about a he talked animatedly with the owner of the Leaky. She allowed herself a few more moments to admire the swish, and then turned her attention to the rest of the room. She spotted a couple of empty tables, but it was Friday night and the place was packed. Sitting at the bar might have to do, and she was fine with that. What she was not fine with, however, was ignoring the large dog that snoozed in front of the fireplace across the far end of the room, and she veered towards it immediately, deciding that Ollie looked happy enough chatting at the bar that he wouldn't miss her if she was a few minutes late. She crouched down next to the dog that she had met a few times before when she'd been here, and stuffed both hands into the Bernese Mountain dog's soft black and tan fur. Oh, it was heaven. Echo had wanted a dog her whole life, and as soon as she could, she would be getting one and there was nothing anyone could do to stop her this time. "Hey girl," she said softly, Morgana giving a lazy wag of her tail as Echo rubbed her neck, probably getting fur all over her jeans, but not giving a single toss about it. She watched Ollie as she fussed Morgana, admiring that hair, while her hands enjoyed the pup's fur. _______________________ tag: Oliver Osiris Devereaux and Tessa Nicole Abbott words: 650 notes: <3 outfit: Press conference, shmess conference. template by izzy [googlefont="Over the Rainbow"][googlefont="Cinzel Decorative"]

Whatever they say your soul's unbreakable Echo had been so tired since she had signed on with the Arrows that she kind of considered it her default mode these days. She spent what felt like all of her time with her new teammates, training and working out, or playing actual games. Then there were media things they had to do like photoshoots of the new line up and interviews which she had found really weird. Everyone told her she'd get used to it, and she could feel herself relaxing into things a bit more, but it was still all so foreign to her, especially the part where she was now in the public eye. That was tiring and a little bit stressful, but honestly she wouldn't trade her job for the world. It was her dream, and it really was a dream. When she was up there in the air, crowds cheering in the stands, it was the most incredible feeling, a high like no other, and she wanted to hang on to it for as long as she possibly could. The good thing about her still being a new player was that she could still go out without being recognised. Most of the time, any way. She had had a few experiences of being stopped for an autograph by a particularly keen Quidditch fan who knew all of the new members of each team. It was fun. Odd, but fun. She did feel like she needed some space from it, though. A little bit of time that had nothing to do with Quidditch, and her teammates were far, far away. She tried her best to fit in time with her family whenever she wasn't working, and then there was the task of seeing her friends, too. It was bloody hard work, and it was a good job she didn't shy away from working her butt off to get things done. She had spent the afternoon shopping in Whimsic Alley for that exact reason. She hardly ever visited the place in the day time. It had fancier shops and you needed a bit of money to buy what was on offer. It just so happened that Echo was earning a bit of money now, and she could actually afford to shop there, so she'd treated herself to a few things. A new coat, some nice jeans, and a pair of boots with a price tag that had made her eyes bulge, but they were so comfortable, she just couldn't say no. Why the hell shouldn't she treat herself? Now she was lugging her new boots and clothes in shopping bags down the alley, thinking of heading to one of the cute little bistro's for some tea. It wasn't until she was nearly on top of her that she recognised the back of the girl walking in front of her. "Oi, sexy!" she heckled, adding a wolf whistle for good measure as she trailed behind Sera Devereaux with a grin. _______________________ tag: Seraphina Alala Devereaux words: 520 notes: <3 outfit: Snuggly. template by izzy [googlefont="Over the Rainbow"][googlefont="Cinzel Decorative"]
