Jovi was, of course, her maid of honor and Amelia didn’t feel the slightest bit ashamed of having gotten engaged before her best friend, nor that her wedding would come before Jovi even had a ring on her stubby little finger. The redhead at least had a bit more say in who she would one day marry but sitting in Jacob’s London flat and making last minute changes to their wedding details was more than enough decisions for Amy at the moment. She was completely overwhelmed by the speed of it all, and had even take the next few weeks off from work to see to the details and prepare herself for her impending nuptials. She told Jacob not to get used to having her around as often as she currently was, because she fully intended on going back to work just as soon as their honeymoon was over. He seemed agreeable to her plans.
“Darling, my girlfriend will be here in just a few minutes and I don't see any hors d'oeuvres or drinks set out. Please, I’m not making a fuss about the lack of proper décor in here, so the least you could do is try to make it look as though you care whether I am comfortable in your home. It will be mine to share with you soon enough, at least until we find something more appropriate.”

Why did Amy have to do all this wedding-y crap at his place? Jake was certain she had a place of her own, and that her parents were loaded enough to have a house she could commandeer for all this bothersome nonsense so why wasn't she there? Why did she have to be here? Jake kept his mouth shut, if he wanted a hot lesbian wife then he was going to have to do whatever she wanted in order to get her down the aisle, but when she mentioned something about damn whore dervs, he was about ready to snap. Seriously? Wasn't she the woman? It was her responsibility to get all the food sorted out. "Think of it as yours now, no need to wait until we're married." Although was that an open invitation to redecorate, too? It sounded like it. Shit. Well he could see a few fancy arts around, maybe some lesbian ones, and possibly some naked chick statues around the place wouldn't go amiss. Jake wandered off to the kitchen, "Soopy." He called, grabbing a banana from th fruit bowl, chuckling to his own thoughts of how much like a dick bananas were, although he was sure his was longer he made a mental note to compare later, "Sort out some whore derves for the missus and her girlfriend." he said to the house elf that had arrived with a bow, nose scraping the floor and ears flopping over, "And make sure there's some nice drinks too, strong ones. I wouldn't mind a little show after all this wedding planning." He chuckled to himself, taking a bite of the banana having forgotten to peel it and then immediately spitting it out once he'd realised his mistake.

For some unimaginable reason, Amy's wedding to what had to be a half-ogre, was actually going ahead. Jovi was almost stunned. She honestly had not realised that Amelia had been so desperate all these years. She'd always had an inkling because she never really seemed to have as many boyfriends as Jovi did, but Jovi always liked to make sure she was being taken care of whereas she thought of Amy as some independent type that needed no man, and now Jovi was realising how false her assumptions over all these years had been. Heck, if she had known Amy was so desperate to not have a man escape her clutches, Jovi would have found someone far more fitting than a Bulstrode for her friend to marry, and someone easily twice as handsome, not that it would be all that hard to find someone more handsome that Jacob Bulstrode.
Jovi arrived at Jacob's address and rang the bell. She was supposed to be helping Amy with her wedding planning, but she was more than capable of getting all under control herself, what Jovi was really there for was making sure Amy didn't get in over her head and have a meltdown. Jovi had her wedding planned already, she knew exactly what flower arrangements she wanted and what church, she knew where she was having her wedding reception and she knew exactly how many bridesmaids and groomsmen there would be and she had outfits for them all planned, what she didn't have was a fiancé, but she could wait, she was in no hurry right now and besides, Fin seemed promising. They'd been together for over a year and she hadn't grown bored of him, in fact it it was quite the opposite, she found the more she learnt about him, the more she wanted to find out. She wondered if Amy had any sort of real connection to Jake or if she didn't care just so long as she was married.

The idea of Jacob’s flat being hers to share was not necessarily exciting. They needed to get through the wedding before there was any time to find a proper home as a married couple, but Amy was sure to be taking charge of the decorating when it came to it. Jacob had been left to his own devices as a bachelor and it showed. The flat was rather bland, the walls sparse except for the occasional poster of a quidditch player or some framed memorabilia that, had Amy any interest in sports, might have been half interesting if incorporated into a design scheme. It seemed as though her fiancée, however, cared for interior design about as much as he cared for conversation; he participated but only the bare minimum. In truth, the main reason Amelia agreed to go ahead with the arrangement was that it seemed Jacob would interfere very little in her life, and she could in turn focus on her actual interests while making her parents happy and securing herself some measure of comfort down the road. The fact that Jacob was attractive and good in bed were nice perks.
Amy heard Jacob call for Soopy, his house elf (another perk of the arrangement, as Amelia did not currently have her own elf) and so when the doorbell rang, she didn’t bother to call for anyone else to answer it. Bouncing over to the door and pulling it open with a smile, Amelia greeted her friend. “Ugh, you look lovely. Don’t you know you’re not supposed to look better than me when we’re discussing my wedding?” She didn’t but Amelia offered the compliment anyway. “Come in, come in. Apologies for the décor, I’ll have it all sorted out after the wedding,” she added in a hushed voice as she stepped aside to allow Jovi into the flat.

Jake threw the banana he'd bitten into, into the bin. He turned the tap on and stuck his head under the water flow and rinsed his mouth out as he heard Amy greet her girlfriend. Jake quickly spat into the sink and the grabbed a tea towel, drying his face with it. He turned the tap off and dried his hands while he listened out to see if there was going to be some hot lesbian action.

Amy answered the door and for a moment Jovi wondered if they were going out to do this wedding planning business. Amy's shimmering red top made her look as though she was ready for a night out on the town and Jovi laughed at Amy's compliment. "Well I tried to dress down, darling, but there's only so far I can go. It's just impossible for us to look anything other than splendid." Jovi stepped into the apartment and realised Amelia was quite right to apologise for the decor. There was a staircase, a few closed doors and a whole lot of white walls. It was as though Jacob had only recently moved in. Thankfully he was engaged to Amy and she would whip this place into something more presentable, "Thank Merlin he has you to touch the place up." She said, quietly, looking to Amy with a somewhat shocked expression.

The shocked look on Jovi’s face was expected and Amelia could only nod. The place needed more than just a ‘touch up’ and while Amelia hoped that they would find someplace suitable for them rather quickly after the wedding, she honestly couldn’t live in a place as devoid of attention as the apartment was now. One thing at a time, she told herself upon each visit. She had contemplated asking Jacob to move into her place after the wedding as Amy maintained that her place was more homey but she hadn’t bothered to broach the subject yet with her fiancée, afraid that he would have some even more bland home already sorted for them. “I have plans for us, starting in the lounge and then working our way into the bedroom, but for now let’s just talk wedding.” She closed the door behind her friend and took a few longer strides to lead Jovi up the stairs to the first floor and into the lounge where she had several small stacks of magazines, books, and binders. It was the most colorful thing in the whole flat and it barely took up the entirety of the coffee table. Just as Amy reached the top of the stairs, she saw Soopy with a tray of hors d'oeuvres and cocktails. At least Jacob was a good listener, she could fix his other flaws in time.

There wasn't a whole lot going on, it seemed like they were still at the front door and Jake wondered if they were making out yet. He wanted to give them a minute to get comfortable before he strutted out in all his glory but he definitely heard mention of the bedroom, things were definitely going to get hot. He quickly peeked his head around the corner and sure enough they were only just making their way up the stairs. Straining his neck and lifting himself to his tippy-toes, Jake stretched to try and see if Amy was caressing Jovi's arse. Any minute now they'd be snogging on the sofa and he was going to join in any way that he could.

Why Amy had wanted to meet at Jake's place when it wasn't even done up, Jovi didn't know. She'd happily invite people to Fin's to wedding plan, should they ever reach that stage of their relationship, but Fin had spectacular taste, Jake was clearly a nothing man with nothing in his mind. Part of Jovi pitted Amy, but a larger and louder part told her that it was Amy's own fault for marrying someone just to be first down the aisle. Instead of waiting for true love, she just went for any future-slob that her parents set her up with, but if that was what she wanted then Jovi would support her, plus a small part of Jovi knew she would absolutely relish being in a loving relationship while her very best friend was stuck with ... well.
Jovi made her way up the stairs, looking about as she went. The apartment was incredibly stark but at least the smell was heavenly, was it the coffee place outside with that heavenly roasted been smell or was it Jacob's kitchen? She wasn't certain but she followed Amy and saw the wedding planning kit she had set out and the house elf with some hors d'oeuvres and cocktails. "Let's plan your wedding, sera bientôt Madame Bulstrode!" She beamed, turning her attention to the pages of the binder.
