Why Amy had wanted to meet at Jake's place when it wasn't even done up, Jovi didn't know. She'd happily invite people to Fin's to wedding plan, should they ever reach that stage of their relationship, but Fin had spectacular taste, Jake was clearly a nothing man with nothing in his mind. Part of Jovi pitted Amy, but a larger and louder part told her that it was Amy's own fault for marrying someone just to be first down the aisle. Instead of waiting for true love, she just went for any future-slob that her parents set her up with, but if that was what she wanted then Jovi would support her, plus a small part of Jovi knew she would absolutely relish being in a loving relationship while her very best friend was stuck with ... well.
Jovi made her way up the stairs, looking about as she went. The apartment was incredibly stark but at least the smell was heavenly, was it the coffee place outside with that heavenly roasted been smell or was it Jacob's kitchen? She wasn't certain but she followed Amy and saw the wedding planning kit she had set out and the house elf with some hors d'oeuvres and cocktails. "Let's plan your wedding, sera bientôt Madame Bulstrode!" She beamed, turning her attention to the pages of the binder.

Amy answered the door and for a moment Jovi wondered if they were going out to do this wedding planning business. Amy's shimmering red top made her look as though she was ready for a night out on the town and Jovi laughed at Amy's compliment. "Well I tried to dress down, darling, but there's only so far I can go. It's just impossible for us to look anything other than splendid." Jovi stepped into the apartment and realised Amelia was quite right to apologise for the decor. There was a staircase, a few closed doors and a whole lot of white walls. It was as though Jacob had only recently moved in. Thankfully he was engaged to Amy and she would whip this place into something more presentable, "Thank Merlin he has you to touch the place up." She said, quietly, looking to Amy with a somewhat shocked expression.

They danced for what felt like all night and still Jovi could have danced some more. As they glided across the floor and wowed the crowds with their impressive knowledge fo a variety of dances, Jovi felt it was time to leave their crowd wanting more and she expressed so to Fin and he wasted no time in seeing her to the exit. Their carriage was awaiting them before they reached the bottom stairs and Jovi climbed in first, followed by Fin. She fell back into the seat with a laugh at such a magical, beautiful evening, but she wanted more. As Fin climbed in, Jovi grabbed him and pulled him in, pulling him against her as the door shut behind him. She didn't hold back in her fervent kiss until they were moving. She placed her hand on his chest and looked at him, excited for the rest of their evening, "Where to next, my love?"

For some unimaginable reason, Amy's wedding to what had to be a half-ogre, was actually going ahead. Jovi was almost stunned. She honestly had not realised that Amelia had been so desperate all these years. She'd always had an inkling because she never really seemed to have as many boyfriends as Jovi did, but Jovi always liked to make sure she was being taken care of whereas she thought of Amy as some independent type that needed no man, and now Jovi was realising how false her assumptions over all these years had been. Heck, if she had known Amy was so desperate to not have a man escape her clutches, Jovi would have found someone far more fitting than a Bulstrode for her friend to marry, and someone easily twice as handsome, not that it would be all that hard to find someone more handsome that Jacob Bulstrode.
Jovi arrived at Jacob's address and rang the bell. She was supposed to be helping Amy with her wedding planning, but she was more than capable of getting all under control herself, what Jovi was really there for was making sure Amy didn't get in over her head and have a meltdown. Jovi had her wedding planned already, she knew exactly what flower arrangements she wanted and what church, she knew where she was having her wedding reception and she knew exactly how many bridesmaids and groomsmen there would be and she had outfits for them all planned, what she didn't have was a fiancé, but she could wait, she was in no hurry right now and besides, Fin seemed promising. They'd been together for over a year and she hadn't grown bored of him, in fact it it was quite the opposite, she found the more she learnt about him, the more she wanted to find out. She wondered if Amy had any sort of real connection to Jake or if she didn't care just so long as she was married.

It was the most romantic scene that Jovi had ever been a part of, and she truly demanded some romantic moments out of her former partners, yet Fin was able to blow them all away. There was nothing more she wanted than to be wrapped up in his strong arms. Even as he sat her on the edge of the balcony she trusted him completely. Perhaps she was a fool, but she was a fool in love. "The only person I want worshipping me is you." She said with a playful smirk, grasping lightly at the notched lapels of his jacket, bringing him in to kiss. Those people's admiration at the ball was fun, but she'd much rather be showered with love and affection by her Finley.

Jovian was a Princess and she hadn't realised how hard she'd struggled to make everyone aware of such a matter until she started dating Fin. With Fin he just knew that she was special and there was no trying on her part, there were no demands because he anticipated her needs better than she could ever have imagined and he seemed to enjoy spoiling her. To hear he loved her was not unexpected, however she couldn't have anticipated the way it made her feel. Her heart was aflutter and her mind intoxicated with a happiness she'd never felt before. As Fin kissed her Jovi's eyes closed, her whole body feeling as though she was floating on clouds.

The brighter lights were better and Jovi felt a little more at ease, although she didn't know what was taking Amy so long. Perhaps she'd run into Jake and the pair were off ugly-snogging in the bathrooms or something, or maybe she'd realised what a huge mistake she was making with that uggo and was off snogging someone else in the bathrooms, either way Jovi did not appreciate being left outside for so long, not when she could be off having some fun of her own. A quick glance one way and then the other, Jovi realised that Amy was waiting for her at the other end of the club, past where the entrance line usually was. "Come on, let's go somewhere else, I thought you were hooking up with some bloke for a hot second." She laughed, walking with Amy down the alley, far more comfortable now that it was the two of them.

A strange wind blew leaving Jovi with the feeling that she was being watched. The hairs on the back of her neck stood up and she looked up and down the street for anyone or anything suspicious. Her eyes scanned the lit alley but she found nothing unusual there, still, she couldn't shake the feeling of something untoward. Perhaps it was Amy out of the club and looking for her, maybe she'd distantly heard her name called on the wind and that was why she had this feeling. Jovi decided to go back to the club, it was well lit in that direction and there were plenty more people there which would leave her feeling more comfortable. She'd had twelve months of training with Auror Humbert, but that didn't mean she was ready in any way for some sort of physical altercation. Jovi walked back towards the club, keeping her eyes peeled for Amy, or any signs of danger.

Fin was Jovi's prince for the evening and she was his princess. He was absolutely spoiling her and showering her with all the affection she had ever craved from a romantic partner. Fin was so good, so perfect that it was almost hard to believe that someone like him could exist. She'd never dated anyone so understanding of her wants, needs and desires.
Jovi allowed Fin to lead her up the most extravagant staircase she'd ever seen in her life. The palace was adorned with wealth every direction you looked. No common household item was too small or menial not to be done up with gold and jewels and Jovi loved it. She walked with Fin down the corridor and stepped out on to the balcony, the winter air chilling her slightly, but her gaze across the grounds distracted her from the cool air as her eyes sparkled with the reflections of the lights and stars. It was a wonder, true magic like she had never known before. Jovi turned to face Fin, his sapphire eyes reflecting the same magical evening as hers, "Finley Avery, I love you." She'd never before felt comfortable telling a man that she loved them, but with Fin it was easy and true, "You have made reality superior to even the most sweetest of dreams." Jovi could not imagine a more perfect setting, nor a more perfect man.

Jovi waited in silence as the seconds passed by. She gazed into the shop window but the reflection of the lights from the club opposite were making it hard to see what was in the shop beyond the mannequins displaying the newest arrivals. Jovi gave up on peering in the window and decided to try a couple of shops up where the alley was a little darker. Jovi's heels clicked on the stone path with her mind not giving a second thought to Amy who would probably only be a couple more minutes.
Jovi came to a stop in front of an exclusive shoe boutique. "Huh." She tilted her head a little, her hair falling against her neck and slipping behind as she tried to get a look at the price on a particularly cute pair of heels. They'd make a cute present for Dora. Pale red, a little sparkle, extremely high and they had a flashy price tag. They were completely Dora's style but Dora had already had her birthday and it was ages until Christmas. Jovi would have to come back and buy a pair for her cousin in a day or two and then think of a reason to give them to Dora. Usually a price wouldn't bother Jovi, she'd just buy herself whatever she wanted, but when she was buying for other people she liked to keep track of how much she was spending on them and see if she got similar values spent on her in return. Naturally her parents and grandmother spent the most on her, and Fin was doing impressively well spending more on her than she on him, as it should be, but Dora was lagging a bit, but Jovi gave her a 30% margin. Quite generous considering her margin even for close friends was 7%, but she knew Dora was practically a peasant and she had a daughter she was raising, so that afforded Dora some of Jovi's scarcely seen pity and leniency.

Jovi ran her cold hand through her long copper hair, pushing it away from her face although it was futile, the wind was picking up through the alley and blowing her hair back across her face. Jovi pushed her hand through her hair again, swopping it over to her left, letting the wind help keep the gentle waves off her face. Jovi looked about at the buildings around her, they were all familiar in the light of day when the were bustling with people, but in the night the were empty soulless.
The night was still young and Jovi was having a great night with Amy but her best witch had to dip back into The Starlight Speakeasy for something but Jovi hadn't been paying enough attention to know what Amy had said she was going back for. Amy insisted that she’d only be a second and she’d only been gone a minute but Jovi, ever impatient, was beginning to wonder if Amy had bumped into some cutie while she was in there. Jovi wouldn’t blame her bestie if she flirted up a storm with some hottie. Amy had been telling Jovi all about her dates with Jake, and Jovi was impressed that Amy hadn’t told the guy to shove off. Arranged marriage fresh(-ish) out of school? To an older guy? Ew.
Jovi had seen Jake about a few times, all the elite purebloods knew of one another, but she didn’t know him personally, they were acquaintances at most. Still, Amy was happy enough so Jovi was happy for her friend. The Bulstrode name was certainly a step down from Greengrass, however the gold was a bit of a step up, so good for Amy. One thing that did stand out to Jovi, however, was that Amy listed ‘good looking’ as one of Jake’s positive attributes. Jovi had seen Jake, that certainly would not have made her good list. Jake’s face alone would have made the negative list, however his body was mystery to Jovi, but with his quidditch involvement, Jovi hoped that for Amy’s sake that it was good.
Jovi thought about Jake’s good points versus Fin’s, and obviously Fin beat Jake on all fronts. He was younger, more attractive, and Jovi was willing to bet that her beau was both mentally and physically superior to Amy’s. Fin was the perfect boyfriend and Jovi felt Jake was one step up from a neanderthal. Still, Amy was engaged (was it actual engagement yet?) to him and so Jovi would keep her opinion to herself, sharing it only with Fin, and Dora, and just about anyone else she saw.

So many admirers. Jovi was glowing in all the praise they were receiving. Words like 'bellissima' and 'impeccabile' were being thrown around. They were the perfect couple, gentlemen took her hand and kissed the back of it, bowing their heads to her hand. She felt like an absolute princess in that moment. Gown and an adoring crowd made for such a wondrous boost for her ego. It was a shame that Fin was growing tired of all the praise but if he wanted to have her alone again for a moment, then she wouldn't object. Jovi excused them and thanked the crowd for their kind words while allowing Fin to steal her away. "Not familiar with being so admired?" She asked with a chuckle. Honestly, Jovi could have stayed listening to the crowd of strangers adoring her for a good half an hour more, but it was their Valentine's weekend away and she wanted to spend her time with Fin, not complete strangers, no matter how praise-worthy they were.

Jovi loved the control Fin took as he pulled her into his arms. The dance begun and Jovi took the spins the way she had trained to. She had grace and poise as she cleared the dance floor with her moves. Her partner was amazing and Jovi enjoyed really being able to show off with Fin and she couldn't wait until they had the opportunity to show off in front of their friends, family and just about anyone else that was around. They were the perfect couple, their dance was flawless and Jovi's dance teacher had taught her that you could always tell the relationship of a couple by the way they danced and tonight, everyone could tell that they were passionate lovers that were perfectly in sync, perfectly made for one another.

A King bowing before his Queen. Jovi could not have felt more smug and spoilt if she had arranged this evening. Fin truly knew how to spoil her and this was only the first day of their weekend away. Jovi had high expectations for the rest of the evening and the plans for tomorrow. "Hmm." She said, pausing a moment, acting as though she was contemplating anything other than a yes, "You may." She was ready to annihilate anyone that stood in their way. They would rule the dance floor and people would be in awe of their splendour.

Fin had the most spectacular evening planned for them. Jovi felt like an absolute Princess, even though they were only travelling to the ball still. The golden carriage ride was magical and the emerging castle was breathtaking. Jovi was in awe. She had never seen anything so grand or perfect. When they walked up the steps to the entrance, Jovi felt as though she belonged in a place such as this. She and Fin deserved nothing but the absolute best that life had to offer. A palace, servants, jewels, and splendour. All the riches in the world. Jovi's eye devoured all that they saw. She scanned the crowd and knew that without a doubt they were by far the most impressive couple. She looked about the room and followed the curves of the architecture to the ceiling. It was magnificent. Jovi could feel the gaze of the people falling upon them, undoubtedly impressed and in awe of the seemingly regal couple. "We'll show these peasants how to have a good time." She smirked, looking to Fin.
