Boogie Wonderland // Everybody!

Katya tossed her clothes onto the bed and set her shoes on the floor near the chair in her room. “Really? Because I was going to wear these jeans that you like, but if you prefer I go like this...” She smirked at him, fluffing her hair and delaying getting dressed just a few moments longer to bask in his appreciation of her figure before giving in to reality and pulling her jeans on and then her top. Sitting in her chair, she slipped on her shoes and fastened the buckles so as not to lose them in a broom cupboard should the night go where it usually did. “South Wales,” she said, answering his earlier question. “My friend Eric’s place. I think you will like him. He works with the animals like you,” although Eric really only worked with dragons but to Katya it was all the same sort of thing. She couldn’t be fucked to differentiate between all the different sorts of animal husbandry. Zach worked with animals and on the few occasions she had seen him in action, she knew it was a very dirty yet very sexy job he did. Mostly the dirty part, but Katya liked to get dirty from time to time, hence her aforementioned affinity for barn parties in her younger years. Finally dressed and ready to go, Katya locked up her flat so that the pair could apparate to the party, however when they arrived at Eric’s home they were met with a noticeable lack of party atmosphere. Kat took Zak’s hand as they walked around the hut and headed for the edge of the property where they found a teensy shed and a sign claiming this to be the party. “Ladies first,” Katya said, opening the door and letting Zach go in ahead of her. The music could be heard from outside and it was definitely karaoke. Katya was excited.

If this Eric bloke was any sort of a host, he would ensure there were soft drinks behind the bar. Everett was certain they could find something for a non-drinker, but before he could get close enough to the bar to confirm, Geralina nudged him in the ribs and pointed at a couple flirting nearby. “If your gorgeous brother has doppelgängers out there and you’ve not set me up with one, I will be so mad at you.” Everett laughed and pretended to make himself into a human shield so that Geralina could get to the bar without having to see her brother’s love life on full display. That wasn’t the sort of thing siblings should have to deal with.

Rhia had heard of Daisy, but they’d not met before. She suspected that would change tonight if she was the reason they’d been extended an invite. There was only a teensy bit of jealousy in Rhia’s eyes whenever Julian spoke of any female friends. And of course, the feelings of jealousy would fester into guilt for not trusting well enough, then anger at Collin for making her that way, and then shame for being so pathetic that she would stay in such an obviously unhealthy relationship for as long as she had. And then Jules called her his girlfriend and Rhia smothered a large smile. “And you decided to bring me instead. You’re so sweet.” She let out a breathy laugh and leaned into him, all worries or jealousy gone for the moment. Julian pointed out Daisy on the dance floor just as the bartender set their drinks on the bar for them. Rhiannon took them with a “thank you” that went unheard as the man rushed to the next patrons. Rhia passed Julian his drink and then turned to look in the direction he’d indicated, heart sinking as she saw that Daisy was just as attractive as she’d pictured her being and of course dressed to the nines. “We’ll have to say hello when she’s not so busy.” Or when Rhiannon found something more dramatic to wear to match.
