It was such a wonderful, blissful moment to see the realisation on Sirius' face. Regina had just known that he'd needed time, all men did, especially one as free as Sirius. He was such an incredible husband really, and he was going to make such a superb father to their little bean. His kiss on her head was simply heaven and Regina could not have been any happier. "Okay." She said, smiling and standing from the sofa, "I'll see you at home." She pecked him on the lips and then ran her hands over her belly, "Can you believe it? We're really going to be a family." The excitement flowed through her body and Regina made her way to the front door of Peter's home and let herself out, lost in a wonderful place in her mind where she could see herself, Sirius and their little boy being a perfect, truly happy family.

It was time to talk to her husband, time to set the record straight on what was going on, what she expected to happen, and laying out what their future would be. Sirius wasn't a care-free lad anymore, he was a husband and he was going to be a father in a matter of months, he needed to learn his place and Regina needed to take a firm hand with him, but how could she? He was so handsome and perfect, even in spite fo his colossal meltdown. "It's time you came home. We're married, we make a perfect couple and in a few months you'll have a son that's going to need you. Think about his future, darling. I don't expect you to be the perfect husband, but I know you can be a wonderful father." He just needed to come home.

Her poor love was lost. Regina had left him for too long. They needed a serious talk because it was clear that Sirius still couldn't see how perfect they were together. "Darling, have a seat. I think we need to have a talk." Regina made her way to the couch and indicated for Sirius to sit beside her. This bachelor pad was fine for the likes of Peter Pettigrew, but her husband deserved a loving home with his family, and she would never give up on bringing him home. Their destiny was together, he just couldn't see that yet, but he would, even if she had to make him.

Regina sighed, shaking her head a little as she smiled, letting Sirius' words wash over her. "Honey, in the very least get some trousers on! We can't talk while you're so naked, it's taking all my will power to keep my hands off you! Unless you want to head to the bed." She said, biting her bottom lip. She'd not had some wild pregnancy sex with her husband yet, maybe now would be their first opportunity.

Well this was just shocking. Regina knew that her husband needed a little space to adjust to his new life, but boxers in the middle of the day? And had he gained weight? He certainly looked as though he'd been living a slobbish life and while he wasn't dirty, he was certainly unkept. "Oh darling, what's happened to you?" Regina sighed, "Perhaps I gave you a little too much freedom. I blame myself, my sweet, I should have checked in sooner." Regina took another glance around the apartment. "Why don't you bathe and we'll have a little talk about you coming home, hm?" Regina batted her eyelashes. He was still so incredibly handsome. Was there any look that he couldn't pull off?

It had been one entire month, almost two, since Regina had told Sirius that she was pregnant. She'd decided to let him have a little time to cool off after his initial shock, but it was time for him to come home, or at least start. Regina was not far off the halfway mark of her pregnancy and her baby needed to hear his daddy's voice, not that Regina knew what she was having, but she was sure it would be a boy. She and Sirius had such amazing genetics that they could only possibly have a beautiful, strong heir. Their son would have the absolute best parts of both of them and would be the heir to the Black family fortune, if she could convince his family that his crazy notions wouldn't be passed on to his son, and if she couldn't, then it didn't matter, she had plenty of money of her own, Sirius had enough, too, and her family weren't going to cut her off. No matter how much her father seemed like a hard-ass at times, she was his little princess, even eloping with a blood traitor hadn't gotten her kicked out the family, probably the only saving grace was that he was a pureblood of the sacred 28 line.
With a twist of the key in the door, Regina let herself in to what was Peter Pettigrew's apartment. It was obvious from the first second she stepped in that two guys were living there in the one bedroom apartment. There were empty beer cans scattered around, some clothes here and there, scruffy blankets on the bed, and dirty dishes in the sink. There was a scent that lingered that she wasn't particularly fond of, but it wasn't enough to make her leave. "Honey, I'm home!" She called merrily through the apartment. She'd known that Sirius was hiding out at Peter's since the day after he'd left. She'd put very, very little pressure on Peter to give her Sirius' location and he'd handed over a spare key. It was far too easy.

Regina could barely keep her hands off of Sirius. He looked so handsome in his Christmas suit but she couldn't wait to get him into his birthday suit later on. She was going to have to make sure that his glass was kept topped up and he was going to have to have be able to apparat home alongside her or else he'd be a complete mess and totally useless. She'd not spent a Christmas with him before so she wasn't sure if It was a time he mourned losing his family or if he enjoyed being away from them. He had a turbulent relationship with his family but Regina truly believed that given time, they would work things out, especially if they were to have a baby together.
Sitting at the table Regina smiled, looking at the food all laid out before them, "This looks amazing, Lily," She smiled, taking a seat, Sirius joining her pretty soon after. Regina looked to the red-head, surprised that she hadn't just placed a pile of garbage on the table "Oh my gosh, those beans smell amazing." They were sat right in front of her and scooped some onto her plate, smelling the garlic and bacon they were cooked in. At least all that talk about fruit flavoured thongs was over because that had really ground Regina's gears, not that she would ever let on, she would let her darling Sirius have his fun because Regina knew that nothing whatsoever was going on with the mudblood because she had married Sirius and he would be true to her for as long as they were together, that was what marriage was all about.

Watching the room dote on Harry made Regina feel like a little bit of an outsider. She didn't really know all that much about the Potters or their son, but it was clear to anyone that paid the slightest ounce of attention that Sirius absolutely adored the child and Regina knew that when the time came for them to have their own child, then Sirius would be absolutely smitten with him or her too, after all, how could he not be? Half her, half him? It would be the most perfect combination, and hopefully, this time next year, they would be sat with their own little Sirius Jr who would be the centre of attention, everyone cooing over the couple. It was a beautiful daydream but Regina was brought out of it quickly when she heard Lily flirting with Sirius. It was obviously and very bad, tasteless joke, but Regina forced and obviously fake laugh in an attempt to save face, to show that such a thought was amusing and not a bother, "Oh you two," She laughed again, rubbing her hand over Sirius' shoulder for a second before she adjusted his hair. If Evans thought she could weasel in on Regina's husband, then she could bloody well think again.

What was happening? Regina was both confused and hurt and she couldn't figure out why. She was pregnant. That was incredible news for the both of them, but Sirius didn't seem to think so. Instead he seemed to be throwing some sort of tantrum over the whole thing. Regina was shocked, absolutely shocked. Was this too soon? No, they'd been in love for ten glorious months! This was due. Perhaps she should have told him a little later on. No, she couldn't keep a secret from her husband, they told each other absolutely everything. So why was he telling her to get rid of their child? Why was he heading for the door? Regina followed him torn between running for him and giving him his space, "Sirius," Merlin, even when she was confused his name felt so sweet rolling from her tongue, "you don't mean that." She wanted him to stay, she wanted him to admit that this was an amazing thing but to do all that, she needed him to stay, "Stay," She stood where she was, the sweetest blue eyes framed by her perfect blonde locks looked too her husband, silently pleading with him to stay with her, to wrap her in his arms, breathe into her neck and just admit that this would be amazing. This would be the making of them. They would be the happiest family on the planet.

Wha-How? What? Regina's and was a muddle and she either couldn't take in what her husband was saying, or didn't want to, but either way she couldn't follow his ranting. Her brow was furrowed in misunderstanding. Had she missed something? Was there something going on that she wasn't aware of? Sirius seemed quite ticked off and Regina just couldn't figure out why. "Darling," She said, hoping her soft voice would help to soothe her agitated husband, perhaps it was because they were still so young that he had a problem with them having a child right now, but it didn't matter, they were having a child and Sirius was acting out from shock, "Let's just talk about this, hmm? This is a wondrous gift for us, my love." She smiled, although her eyes gave away the fear she felt in the pit of her stomach. She couldn't quite place her wand on what that feeling was, but it was something unnerving.

Regina's smile didn't falter. She was just to ecstatic! Yes, Sirius' reaction wasn't the best, perhaps he'd hoped that they'd have more time together as a couple before they had a baby, but this was happening! "I know this must be a huge shock, my love," She paused, taking a deep breath, her heart racing with excitement, knowing that once the idea had settled into Sirius' mind that he would be overcome with joy at the situation. "But we're going to have a child. You'll have an heir." Regina was carrying the next generation of sacred blood. The next generation of Black, and he, or she although hopefully he, would be part-Malfoy, too, a most splendid, perfect combination. Their child was going to be smart and beautiful, Black and Malfoy, Pure and Perfect.

Another tour? Merlin he was hilarious! Regina chuckled and patted his shoulder, scolding him playfully. She'd just got home and she was willing to bet that tonight they'd have a few drinks and have a wonderful, romantic night together, especially after she broke their big news! "Sit! Sit!" She said excitedly, bouncing on the balls of her feet as she followed him over to the sofa, waving her wand to start his drinks amixing while she slipped her wand away. Once he was sat she clasped her hands together in front of her and brought them up in front of her mouth. With his drink mixed it floated on over to Sirius. It was time. Taking a deep breath before lowering them. "This has been the best year of my life." She told him. "We've been married for ten incredible months and you've made me the happiest woman in the world." She said, "And now," She unclasped her hands and placed them flat on her stomach. "And now we're going to have a baby." She beamed, the news being nothing but amazing, and she couldn't see Sirius taking it any way other than hugely positive.

Regina was surprised as Sirius was so shocked by her beauty that he stumbled to the floor. She smiled sweetly and held back a chuckle. He seemed to be okay which was the main thing. "Last night," She said, knowing that meant he hadn't come to bed with her and that he'd likely not even been home. "I've missed you so much!" She said, unable to stop herself from approaching and wrapping her arms around him, placing her lips on his. After she was finished kissing him she let go and shut the door behind him, "Come in, get comfy, I've got some amazing news." She beamed.

Regina drummed her nails on her dresser, chewing at her bottom lip. She'd gotten home from her six week tour yesterday and had gone to bed alone and woken alone. She wasn't sure if Sirius had come and gone in that time or if he'd just not slept with her at all last night, but it didn't matter because she'd been exhausted anyway and even if he had come to her, looking for a little fun, she couldn't have done anything due to the sheer exhaustion she was feeling. She hoped Sirius had come to bed and just slept beside her, or even better had a little snuggle, but at the end of the day she was used to her husband falling asleep on the sofa or staying at a mates house, and she was fine with it, he needed his freedom to be him. Today, however, she needed him for a little bit. She had some news that she thought was amazing! After months and months of trying to lock the marriage down and ensure Sirius would stay with her, Regina had finally fallen pregnant. She was nine weeks along and it was time to share the news with Sirius.
Patting the top of the dresser a couple of time Regina was ready with what she wanted to say, the only trouble was Sirius was not home. Regina decided she'd make him his favourite meal for dinner tonight, she could break the news to him when he was in a brilliant mood seeing that he wasn't home now. All she'd need was a new outfit and the family house elf to actually do all the cooking.
Regina pulled out her bag from her wardrobe just as a loud roar came from outside. Sirius's bike was unmistakable. Loud and obnoxious it put a dent in the sounds of the countryside. Regina supposed that maybe she could break the news to Sirius now, she wanted to do it as soon as possible really, and then the lasagne could be a wonderful celebration meal, and who knew, perhaps he'd want to invite his friends over, celebrate together. They were family to Sirius and now his family was growing by one more.
The front door could be heard opening and Regina made her way out of the master bedroom and down the hallway. As she came down the stairs Sirius came into view, headbanging away. Regina smiled, enjoying seeing her husband being absolutely bonkers and she was certain that news of a baby would only lift his spirits higher, after all he was ever such an amazing godfather to Harry so it only made sense that he'd be just as amazing, if not more so, as an actual father. "Hello, darling," Regina smiled a she stepped off the last stair, placing her bag on the floor near the bottom step, waiting for her husband's solo to be over.
