Born to the wealthy and prominent Malfoy family, Regina was the second child but very much desired by both of her parents. Her older brother, Lucius, was never really around much but that was never anything Regina worried herself with. When they spent time with one another she would climb all over him. She would play with him and always try to get a look at what it was that he was doing. This was usual for Regina, while she was raised to be a proper young lady she was also a free spirit. She was wild and liked to have fun with whoever was around. Lucius was the perfect son, first born, no issues so Regina was really quite a change of pace for Briella and Abraxas. Still they'd had so many losses between Lucius and Regina and a few more after their Princess that they weren't going to look a gift horse in the mouth. Two healthy, wonderful children was a blessing.
Mixing and mingling were things Regina could have been good at if she'd put in more of an effort. She was far too into being herself rather than conforming. Plenty of people have snubbed her over the years but as a child she was perhaps seen as a little unruly. She was the one that would run around the halls playing, she was the one that would slide in her frilly white socks and petticoats across the freshly polished floors, she was careless and free, knocking into everything and she would always, always get her way.
Regina was a bright and happy child, she never needed to learn to manipulate people because all she had to do was ask mummy and daddy and she'd usually get what she wanted. There were a few tears an tantrums when she wouldn't get things she wanted but she would often get over it all rather quickly, especially if something sparkly was dangled in front of her. For all her wildness she was a girly girl and loves anything that sparkled and shined. She loved dresses and she'd often wear her fancy evening gowns around the house, no matter what the occasion.
When she she was seven Regina started to have a crush on a boy. He had dark hair and the most amazing eyes she'd ever seen. She came from a family of boring blondes but even then she knew this boy was handsome. He something she wanted and she told her parents that one day she wanted to marry Sirius Black. Her parents laughed her off but she insisted they make arrangements and they promised, that once she was of age, they would organise something with his parents. He was absolutely perfect.
At age eleven Regina joined her brother at Hogwarts. She too was sorted into Slytherin and was disappointed that Sirius had not been a Slytherin also. No matter she knew she'd still see him around and she would have a few lessons with him too. She had plenty of chances to talk to him and get to know him away from the events their parents had dragged them to over the years.
Regina settled very well into Slytherin and practised her singing regularly. She wanted to be a singer once she'd graduated and had no desires to do anything else - other than marry Sirius of course. She wasn't the brightest student but when she applied herself she did well in lessons. Though that did require effort and she didn't put a lot of that in. By her third year she was able to convince a few boys to help her with her homework. By her fifth year they were doing it for her. She learnt what she needed overtime but the essays were just so boring and pointless. Who cared who invented spells or why, what mattered was that she knew them so wasn't that enough?
Between the Summer of her fifth and sixth year Regina received absolutely devastating news. Sirius Black had rebelled against his family and run away. Regina could hardly believe it. Sirius had always had that rebellious streak but to actually run away? Well that meant arranging a marriage was off and Regina was convinced that her life was over and that she was absolutely heartbroken. It took a good three days to convince her otherwise and a lot of new jewellery and dresses.
Her NEWT years were tricky, Regina was still able to get boys to help her with some of her homework but the spells and potions were so much harder than during her OWLs that she considered giving up and just starting her life as a famous singer. Her parents put their foot down and got her a tutor for over the holidays and thankfully she passed her NEWTs, even though she took next to the bare minimum.
Having left Hogwarts with a handful of NEWTs Regina tossed them all aside and had her daddy open doors for her, metaphorically and literally. Regina had been singing with professional coach and trainers for as long as she could demand it and she was ready to take to the stage. She was signed up by a manager owing a favour to her dad and found a few gigs, being an opening act for a few small bands. She built up a fan base of her own and started opening for better known bands and doing her own smaller, private gigs. She recently became big enough to do her own gig, performing for the biggest crowd she'd ever been before in her life and she absolutely loves her life. There was of course the agreement with her parents that she would be betrothed to another pureblood although she still has hopes of impressing a certain man and claiming him for her own. Another condition of her desire for fame was that she take a stage name so that the Malfoy name would not be tarnished in anyway should she get up to any sort of shenanigans and so when on stage Regina goes by another name. She writes and sings her own songs under the stage name Autumn Vexx.
