Eris slipped her hand bag onto her shoulder. It had everything she would need in it thanks to a concealed expansion charm placed on it. She loved her daughter but she really didn’t fancy luging around a giant bag full of nappies, wipes, spare clothes and the various other little bits and bobs that came with the whole ‘mum’ territory. It seemed unlikely but Angelina seemed to have had a growth spurt. Her trousers were a little too short around her ankles and her tops were beginning to ride up over her tummy. Eris was certain that the two year olds clothes had fitted her only a week ago but now she was in need of a new wardrobe apparently. Eris wasn’t one to complain about shopping for Angie, she had the cutest clothes and Eris was more than happy to add to the collection. Or replace it as the case was. “Mama, poops.” Angie reached her hands up to the picture of Eris’ parents. Eris smiled, holding back a small giggle. “You fancy visiting Pops?” Angie nodded her head, still reaching for the picture on the hallway, “Poops! Poops!” She cheered happily, “How about we get you some new clothes, have a play at the park and then visit Pops when he finishes work?” Angie looked a little confused so Eris simplified it a little for the two year old, picking her up and popping her on her hip, “Shopping, swings, Pops. Okay?” Angie nodded with a grin, happy with the order of the day.
Eris took Angie shopping in muggle London. There were plenty of shops but not nearly enough for Eris’ liking. She really liked to indulge but it was close to lunch time and she didn’t want Angie getting too cranky. She’d noticed a couple of times in recent days that her daughter would get angry and magical things would happen, mostly things nearby would explode. She didn’t want Angelina getting hungry, cranky and then blowing up some muggle shops so she took to Diagon Alley, grabbing a couple of savoury bits from the bakery. They enjoyed their delicious treats and headed to the park way down at the end of the alley, the bottom of the pram full of shopping bags that had been shrunk down to fit neatly and a couple of treats from the bakery that she couldn’t resist. Once at the park Eris knew Angie would only have eyes for the swings for the next twenty minutes, possibly longer, so she unclipped her little toddler near a bench and sure enough she toddled her way on over to the swings. Eris stayed hot on her tail and then swooped her little princess up and placed her in the baby swing and began to gently push, enjoying the sunny rays shining down, even if it wasn’t quite warmer temperatures yet, Spring was certainly settling in and Summer would soon be here and the park would be even busier.

Dark shines, bringing me down making my heart feel sore Sully lifted Naia down off of his shoulders as they neared the park tucked away at the end of Diagon Alley. "Dada, can I run?" she asked, watching as Shay sprinted ahead, confident in his surroundings. Sully watched Shay head for the climbing frame and nodded to little Naia. "Be careful," he warned. "Watch out for babies!" But Naia as already sprinting after her big brother. He knew she'd head for the swings, but they were already in the park now, she couldn't get lost. It felt weird loosening the strings with Naia. She was three, and when Shay had been three, he'd still had a mum, and Sully had had a partner in crime to help him figure out how to let his kid grow up without worrying too much. Naia, he had raised alone, and he wasn't sure if it was because she was a girl or just because she was the baby of their little group, but he struggled to give her more freedom. She couldn't go wrong just running across a park, nothing bad could happen to her, but still, he watched her like a hawk as she stopped by the swings. Sully caught up at his own pace. Shay was already at the top of the climbing frame, and Naia had settled herself in the swing right beside a woman pushing her toddler. Sully recognised her before he was near enough to say hello. Eris Johnson, Puddlemere Chaser. He'd attempted to knock her head off with a Bludger more than a few times over the years, but his smile was bright as he approached. "Johnson," he greeted happily, pausing beside the swings, Naia's pink unicorn backpack slung over his shoulder as he leaned one large hand on the metal frame. "Did you have a good Easter? Easter Sunday had been just two days ago, and Sully had some time off for the holiday, something he was making the most of with his kids. They'd spent Sunday with family, and he'd eaten far too much chocolate. Enough for him to feel gross and like he needed to work out for a month to get rid of the damage it had done. He'd had the kids out for a bike ride yesterday to try and fit in some exercise, and today was ice cream and the park. They'd finished their ice cream not long ago, and his overprotective brain made him question for the hundredth time whether they'd waited long enough for their tummy's to settle before going nuts in the park. They had, but he glanced up at Shay again anyway. _______________________ tag: Eris Vivian Johnson words: 471 notes: <3 outfit: Lazy day at the park template by izzy[googlefont="Loved by the King"][googlefont="Cinzel Decorative"]

Eris was going to be pushing Angie on the swings forever, she knew it. There was nothing more fun to the two year old than the swings and it would take some coaxing to get her to the slide or the roundabout for a little spin. Either way it was going to be a delicate operation but one Eris was well versed in these days. It was incredible how single-minded a small individual could be. Eris had always thought kids were all over the place with short attention spans, into this and then into that, all at once. Angie, on the other hand, was captivated by the swings every time they visited a park.
More kids joined them at the park and Eris heard her name called. Her surname that was. It was strange, she'd been married for a while but 'Johnson' still didn't feel right, Eris just felt it didn't suit her properly. She heard it often enough that she should have been used to it by now but perhaps it was just one of those things she would never get used to. She didn't have her father's name, she'd been raised by a strong woman, surrounded by strong women, that it seemed strange to have given up her name for her husband's. But there was no going back now, they had a child together and she didn't want a divided family, she didn't want Angie to have a different name than her own. Angelina was a Johnson and so Eris would be too, for her daughter.
Eris smiled over at Sully, giving a head nod in his direction as a form of friendly greeting. They were rivals on the pitch but Eris tried not to take too much of that away from the game. She liked to save it all for when they were playing, although it could occasionally get a little difficult when you were faced with a giant, twice the width of you, probably three times as strong, that wanted to kill you. Perhaps that was too strong of a term. Maim was probably more appropriate but the things beaters would do did make you wonder if they were after more than just winning. Eris wasn't 100% sure if Sully was just about the game or if he was partial to a bit of violence, but Eris supposed she should give him the benefit of the doubt, trusting her gut that he wasn't one of the dickheads she'd had to deal with in the past. "Not bad. Not bad at all." She smiled a little, recalling the Easter Egg hunt mostly. Angelina was too little to fully comprehend what was going on but she definitely loved the chocolate, that much she understood. "Spent it with family. How was your Easter?" She asked in return, still thinking of her Easter and how great it was spending it with her family. Not so great the bits she had to spend with her in-laws, but it was a necessary.

Dark shines, bringing me down making my heart feel sore "Same, same," Sully nodded. "We went to my Uncle, I think he'll need a week or two to recover from the chaos." He chuckled at the thought of his Uncle being frazzled by the little ones running around, but to Sully it had been a joyous sight. Shay and Naia only had each other, really, but Sully's cousins had kids of their own and it was good to see the kids all playing together, even if it did make a ruckus and set his Uncle's nerves on edge. They had all been hyped up on chocolate, which hadn't helped, but Sully had played with the kids more than the adults, and he would tell anyone that he had a great Easter for that reason. Any time he could spent with family was time well spent, as far as he was concerned. He just wished he could get out to Hawaii more often to see his parents and his mother's family. He missed the sun and the sea, and the smells of home, even though it hadn't technically been his home since he was eleven years old. His roots would never stop calling to him. "Dada, push me, push me!" Naia called, swinging her legs as hard as she could to try and make herself go higher, though it wasn't working as well as she'd like it to. Sully chuckled, glancing at Eris' daughter. "Not right now, Naia, you'll scare the little one," he said, pointing to remind Naia that there was a toddler swinging beside her that would likely get very freaked out if she saw how high fearless Naia liked to go on the swings. Sully would always push her as high as she was comfortable with, knowing that he would catch her if she fell. He trusted himself enough for that, but sometimes he got funny looks if there were other people in the playground at the same time. "She likes to go so high she nearly loops right over the top," he explained to Eris. Shay climbed down from the climbing frame and ran up behind his sister. "I'll push you," he told Naia, giving her a mighty shove. She hardly moved higher than she'd already been swinging, and Sully laughed. Shay was not built like the son of a mountain, he was a skinny little thing, but he grunted with each push, teeth bared. Naia seemed pleased, so Sully left them to it. _______________________ tag: Eris Vivian Johnson words: 443 notes: <3 outfit: Lazy day at the park template by izzy[googlefont="Loved by the King"][googlefont="Cinzel Decorative"]

Eris only had Angie and she was only a toddler but she was becoming quite the handful. Eris's husband had suggested they try for another but Eris wanted to focus more on her career again. Also she wasn't so sure she even wanted any more kids. Angie was great and everything, and perhaps she'd want another child some day, but she couldn't imagine having one with her husband. Eris knew her marriage wasn't what it should have been, she wasn't as happy in it as she'd thought she would be. She convinced herself to go through with it because she told herself it would all be better once they were married and settled in to life, but it wasn't. It was more of the same. She thought a child would help her find happiness but it hadn't, not in her relationship with her husband at least. Angie was a brilliant baby, a wonderful toddler, but Eris wasn't going to bring another child into a fractured relationship. She had no idea if her husband felt the way she did or if he thought everything was fine, all Eris knew was that she wasn't happy with her marriage but that it brought her the most wonderful little darling in all of the world, so she would forever be grateful she went through with it, despite her hesitations.
Eris enjoyed spending time with her own family - her in-laws, not so much. They were bitchy, snide and probably part of the reason Eris had always felt off with her husband. She thought they'd treat her differently once they were married but she'd been wrong about that too, she was wrong about a lot of things around marriage, apparently. She had an affair the night before she was supposed to be married, she hoped to Merlin that she'd have been caught but she never was. It was her one and only affair and she had no desires to be the kind of woman that slept around behind her husband's back, but how long would it be before she'd pluck up the courage and do the right thing?
Sully's kids were a picture of sibling kindness and love if ever there was one. Sully's older kid pushed his sister on the swing, taking care of her wants despite the fact he didn't seem all that well built for the task. Eris wondered if Sully had started out the same way in life or if his son had just inherited his wife's more slender build. She'd always seemed like a nice woman, Eris thought, although she'd never really had much of a chance to interact with her but she'd seen her around. It was a shame what had happened, even worse that it had seemed to happen to a couple that were very much in love. "That's adorable." She said to Sully, a small smile on her features as she gave Angie a gentle little push, not daring to go any higher than she already was. "It must be good that they get on so well." Another reason Angie didn't much feel like having another child while Angie was so little was that she didn't think she could handle tensions between siblings. She was raised as an only child and she'd never really had any desires for a sibling and she didn't want to force a sibling on Angie.
