Fin's stunned silence was simply perfect. It was just the response she'd been hoping for. It was wonderful to see him cross the room so quickly and she enjoyed his hands sliding over her hips. His carnal desire made her want to lay him on the bed and pull up her dress, but she didn't want to risk tearing the gown, it had taken her so long to settle on a dress. Although with his lips so close to her, Jovi felt a radiating need spread through her, "We can tear other things apart later." she smirked, holding on to his hand as he escorted her from their suit. Whatever the night had in store, Jovi knew that this was going be the most incredible Valentine's night of her life.

Jovi had a delightful lunch with Fin. He was making her day absolutely perfect. It was their first anniversary and their second Valentine's Day together so obviously he had to make it absolute perfection. Getting ready for the masquerade ball was fun in of itself. There was just something about it being just the two of them, on holidays, that made her feel as though they were actual adults, people in their own rights. They weren't children, they were young adults creating their own little world to live in. The world was their's, they didn't have to answer to anyone. Together they could rule. The idea of taking charge of t he wizarding world excited Jovi and she daydreamed of being Minister for Magic while she got ready.
Jovi looked at her reflection in the pale gold mirror and affixed her mask magically. Her complexion was flawless, her gown hugged her figure in all the right places and her her shimmered in the light, making her appear like a copper toned Goddess. She walked to the bedroom doors, giving her wand an effortless swish so they would open for her. She took a few steps forward and paused in the doorway, giving Fin the opportunity to adore her and lavish her with compliments while eyeing him up in his dashing suit. They were a match made in Heaven and Jovi knew that their future would shimmer gold for the rest of their existence.

Jovi was expecting something exciting, something more than just 'are you happy?'. To be honest it kind of fell flat and Jovi's body slumped a little with disappointment at the question. She was happy, Fin was the perfect boyfriend so why would he be asking such a thing? Unless he wasn't happy himself? "Where's this coming from?" She asked with a bit of a frown, her lunch in front of her, forgotten, "Are you breaking up with me?" She looked insulted, her mouth agape slightly. She didn't get broken up with, and especially not on an anniversary. She was the one that did the breaking up and if he thought for a second that he was going to get in first, well he was sorely mistaken.

The morning seemed to pass by in a flash, the afternoon was upon them and lunch was simply divine. Time with Fin was so effortless and free. He was one of the few people Jovi felt comfortable being herself around. She didn't have to hold back any strange parts of her personality that others might deem psychopathic, he never accused her of being spoilt or bratty, in fact whenever she seemed to be heading that way he could head it off, or join her in it. He was fun and gentlemanly and just about everything Jovi wanted in a partner, especially his bank account, so when he leant across the table and asked if he could ask her a question, she nodded her head, looking expectantly at him, hoping for something exciting and rhetorical like 'would you like to go on a shopping spree', 'would you like to have your hair styled by talented Tommaso Mancini', 'would you like to slaughter the muggles of Venice' all of which would obviously be a resounding 'yes'. "Of course," What would it be, she wondered.

Anything. Just the word Jovi loved to hear. Fin was the perfect boyfriend and he made their first anniversary even more romantic when he leant in towards her ear and muttered words that sent chills all over her body. If her eyes could change colour to match her mood they'd certainly be a fiery red, full of passion and blood lust. Jovi turned her head to face Fin and looked over his perfectly chiselled features, she ran the back of her left hand over his perfect cheekbone, "You're far superior in every way, but you should kill him anyway." If Fin would stand and slash the mans throat right now Jovi would have been in heaven, just watching the man's crimson life force draining all over the gondola would put Jovi in such a passionate frame of mind.

Could Fin sing better than that? Well sort of. Jovi was a fan of the operatic style. She found it powerful, stirring of strong emotions and any music that could make Jovi feel was good by her. Although of course when Fin sang she was immensely turned on, which she considered and a strong emotion. "Hmm." She said, her brow furrowed just a little, her eyes slightly narrowed and her lips a little pouted, clearly pondering away at his proposed scenario. "And in this scenario, would you be shirtless?" She ran her finger down the front of his jumper. It was winter now, but her birthday was in the summer and she'd certainly enjoy a gondola ride with Fin serenading her.

"Mmm." She smiled as she chewed, the breakfast as delicious as she had expected. It hadn't gone beyond her expectations, but that was probably because Jovi was extremely confident that Fin would only pick the very best of rooms in the very best of hotels. Being pinned anywhere by Fin was a thrill. He seemed to enjoy the foreplay as much as she did, unlike her previous boyfriends that were mostly all the types to think of themselves, luckily Jovi was excellent at getting her own way, but she really shouldn't have had to put in so much effort. With fin she didn't have to. Fin was pretty much the perfect boyfriend. He was the perfect boyfriend, in fact. Jovi was still waiting for him to slip up somehow but so far there was nothing she could fault him for - other than his daddy issues, but he seemed to hide them pretty well, usually. "Mio caro," She smiled, leaning in against him as they walked hand in hand along the streets of Venice, "Flattery will take you everywhere." She told him, a sparkle in her eye as she turned her head to take him in, surrounded by one of the most beautiful places in the world.

Well that was that. Jovi had brought a hard truth down on her cousin and she didn't feel the slightest bit of remorse. Dora needed to start hearing these things more often. She'd been a barmaid for nearly five years, enough was enough. This wasn't a career. She was a single woman and she had a daughter to support and if Fin thought he could get away with just continually enabling Dora and not helping her then he was sorely mistaken too. Jovi loved her family and she loved Fin, but there was no way she was going to let this toxicity continue. They were becoming complacent and enough was enough. Dora storming off was perfect because it meant Jovi could avoid dealing with her pissy cousin for the rest of the night. Jovi left the staff room and caught up with her friends who all had drinks. Being a couple of shots into the night already, Jovi was ready to have some fun and although she wouldn't be forgetting about Dora. That witch needed to grow the hell up and Jovi was going to be the one to drag her arse into adulthood whether Dora liked it or not.

Dora snapped and Jovi simply rolled her eyes. Her cousin was getting far too old to continue being such a drama queen. She was a mother now and this was how she chose to behave!? It was pathetic. "Me fuck off?" She breathed a faint laugh, "Perhaps if you fucked off for a while you might learn to grow up. How many handouts do you expect to continue getting, Euphadora? Hmm?" She stood up and straightened her dress, "Jobs, home, babysitter. How long do you expect people to stay by your side if all you do is take, take, take?" Jovi didn't expect any sort of answer - at least not a fully coherent one - and she would always stand by Dora, but she did want her cousin to take a serious look at herself. She was turning on Jovi, her own cousin who was merely trying to help her ascend to a better position and a more favourable lifestyle.

Dora liked her job? Jovi didn't believe that for a second. Sure, it probably had some nice aspects, getting to work with Fin, being the bosses favourite had to have its perks, maybe even some of the other staff were okay to hang out with, but actually like the job itself? Serving drinks to a bunch of arseholes while you yourself had to stay sober? That hardly seemed like something Dora would enjoy. She was definitely on the wring side of the bar, and when she compared her position as a bartender to that of Fin being owner, manager and straight up sex god, Jovi snorted. "Fin owns the place." Jovi laughed, "Owning an establishment is hardly comparable to just working the bar." Jovi chuckled, Dora was clearly in a shitty mood but Jovi wouldn't let Dora ruin her night out. They were family and no matter what they disagreed on, they had to love each other! Perhaps Dora was just too sober to be any fun yet. Hopefully the vodka would lift her spirits a little! "I'll organise that interview for you in the new year. You can't keep being a bartender forever, you've got a kid to think about." What a depressing life that would be!

Jovi sniggered a little as Dora spoke of the women's horrid skin. True, Jovi didn't get the chance to see the woman properly, but she was willing to bet that she was as hideous outside as she was inside. No one that was beautiful would be that ... well Jovi didn't want to finish that thought, she was often a pain in the arse but she had her daddy to throw money around to keep people happy, meaning she was welcome to continue being as big of a bitch as she wanted to be. "Honestly, Dor," She said, leaning and grabbing the bottle, "You need to find a new job." She'd been here for too long and honestly, she seemed to be looking older than all the other staff. Perhaps that was because of her sleepless nights and having to work, Jovi wasn't sure, but Dora looked as though she was at least five years older than most of the staff, and that wasn't a good look unless you were the manager or something. "Want me to get you an interview in the Ministry?" She asked while pouring her second shot. "I promise it won't be with Fin's daddy." She chuckled, knowing the pair didn't get on, but Aurelius would never say as much to Jovi as he knew she was Dora's cousin. Jovi knocked back another shot and placed the bottle on the floor, her face scrunched up, wondering how in the hell Dora managed to do these things so straight faced.

Mm, Fin was adorable, cheesy but also cool at the same time. He tucked the rose into her hair and Jovi couldn't remember having a boyfriend as romantic as Fin. It was amazing and made her ever so happy. She supposed this was what a proper relationship was supposed to be like, although she'd never have expected Fin to be as romantic as he was. She'd always thought of him as hot and definitely thought of him as fun after she'd accidentally discovered he was a death eater, but super romantic? It was a pleasant change of pace for Jovi who had always told her boyfriends just exactly how to spoil her. Having one that could think for himself made her think that this could be a lasting kind of relationship. It had already managed a whole year, perhaps if the next twelve months went smoothly then she'd perhaps consider whether or not Fin was marriage material, for now, Jovi thought it was too much to think about and she was way too young, but she was turning 20 in July so maybe she'd feel a bit more mature, although she was sure as hell going to keep having her girls nights out, her date nights with Fin, and cave in to whatever whim she had at the time. Jovi watched her boyfriend waving a sausage about on his fork, giving her a giggle, "Maybe I'll have a taste of your sausage later." She said, picking up her own fork and stabbing into a couple of sliced mushrooms.

Valentine's day. A whole year of dating Finley Avery. It was quite nice. It was certainly one of her longest relationships and he was most definitely the hottest guy she'd ever dated, although he wasn't the richest he still had quite a bit to his name and to prove it, he'd taken her away for the weekend. Venice was beautiful, even Jovi could appreciate its unique scenery, especially when it was Fin she was waking up next to.
Jovi's hazel eyes opened and took a second to adjusted to the brilliant natural light that flooded into the deluxe room. She smiled at Fin recalling their wonderful first night in the hotel. "Hey there, handsome." She said, her voice a little croaky but clearing with each word. She smiled at Fin and ran the back of her fingers over Fin's cheek. He was definitely one of her sweeter boyfriends, possibly even the sweetest. "Such a perfect way to wake." She said, waking in the best possible mood she'd woken in in absolutely ages. Dropping her hand gently, Jovi sat up in bed, the white linen falling to her lap and showing off her lace nightdress. "Something smells delicious." She said, leaning forward and brushing her lips gently against his, careful not to catch them on a thorn on the corny rose in his teeth.

This was the staff area? Oh Finny. He could do much better than this. Jovi didn't care about the other staff but this is where Dora was supposed to spend her time? It did not seem fit enough for Dora. It was an awful and depressing place. It could really do with a sprucing up, a few games here, some gorgeous cushions there, just a place to hang and forget about work rather than sitting around and, waiting to head back to their shifts. "This is ... interesting." She said, closing the door behind her, somewhat afraid to touch the handle for fear of catching something. Did Fin have to come here at all? Merlin she hoped not! He owned the place, he had his very own stylish office and own personal bathroom. Even his bathroom looked better than this staff room. "Cheers!" She said, taking the shot glass and inspecting it. It looked clean enough so she knocked the shot back, gulping it down in one and scrunching her face up. Straight vodka was horrid and she coughed a little, but she was spending time with her cousin and she'd drink as much as Dora offered. Surely after a while that horrid feeling would settle down. "Can't believe that stupid cow. Acting like she's so perfect. Anyone would think she'd not made a mistake her entire life or something." Jovi rolled her eyes and inspected the sofa. She hesitated for a second but decided to sit.
