Leo's barbecue was always a good afternoon. A few friends just chilling by the pool, having a bite to eat, enjoying the sun and just letting off steam. Ant wasn't expecting any dramas. Last year he had to miss out because of work, but he'd heard all about Jasper's tumble. Ant didn't know the guy too well, but he'd had a few small conversations with the guy to know he wasn't an arsehole so Ant had felt kind of sorry for him when Leo had mentioned it, although Ant would have been a liar if he said he'd kept a straight face.
Arriving at Leo's, all on his lonesome, Ant headed for the front door which swung to let him in. Ant knew his way around well enough and headed for the back where he knew the action would be, only nerds and outcasts would be inside on a gorgeous day like today. "Hello, ladies and gents! Hope we're all having a good time." He said looking around the party, spotting a particular blonde that had then tendency to take his breath away, and today was no different. Liv was a knockout. Head to toe perfection and Ant stared at her a little too long before he looked to Leo and the barbecue, "Mate, that looks sublime!" He said, giving a good sniff of the air.

So the whole D-Man was a runaway train and Ant was surely going to be murdered for it later on by Dorian, but it was all worthwhile when they go to Doc's name. Ant snickered at his friend's lack of fortune, it wasn't good. Leo and this Dora chick seemed to know one another so they were happy chatting where as Ant felt like a third wheel, although he had Doc, but Ant kind of wanted to get away from the cute girl after he'd totally made an arse of himself. "Poor Devereaux, I'll go find him and see how he's holding up." He said, "It's been a pleasure meeting you Dora." He smiled before departing the group and looking out for Kit, or anyone he wouldn't make an arse of himself infant of, really.

Oh thank Merlin that Leo stepped up to the metaphorical conversation plate because Ant felt as though he was completely floundering. The poor woman was probably terrified of him and rightly so, he was clearly not fit to talk to attractive women with confidence. "Copy that." He nodded to Leo and listened to the noirette as she spoke, at least she hadn't been terrified by his first impression, that had to count for something, right? Probably not. D-Man seemed to be catching on and Ant knew that Dorian was going to double kill him for that, first for being a part of a surprise birthday party for the man, and secondly for starting D-Man. Ant was never going to live that down.

Ant was just having a laugh with the guys, joshing about a bit and talking about work, the party and just life in general. It felt like way too long since he'd seen Doc or Leo. "And then I said, "That's not my thumb, that's my --"" Ant was cut short by a swishy hipped lass with sass. He moved over to make a little space for her and smiled, "M'lady," he said with a bow, not sure what in the hell he was doing. maybe it was the fancy house bringing it out of him, "Yeah, it's pretty good," Well it wasn't, but you had to say that, right? Well, he had good company, there was cute chick with them and there was plenty of expensive booze, so it wasn't too bad, "I'm Ant, a friend of Dorian's, known him since school." He said, "How do you know D-man?" He asked, instantly regretting calling his friend "D-man".

Ant had nearly been late. Nearly. You would have thought that someone whose job required him to be on time for busts and such would have been better equipped to handle his personal time than just about anybody else, but nope. Ant squeezed in the door, not even having time to grab a drink before he was roped into conversation with Doc and Leo. He just stood with his mates, chatting for a bit before they were ordered to hide or whatever it was they were doing. Ant didn't really know but he followed Leo and Doc to the bookcase and waited almost silently until someone let loose. He let out a small laugh but straightened his face out fairly quickly, his lips pursed as he hoped he didn't laugh again. This was fine, it was fine. Leo covered the smell and everything was smelling much better and Ant was ready to give a cheery 'surprise' for his mate when he walked in the room. They were all dead people standing, but at least they'd be going out with a bang!

Ah yes. An art showing. A marvellous spectacle to behold. A wonderful evening to be had by all and ANt had absolutely no idea what in the hell to do. He stood in what felt like the centre of the room between two fake walls with paintings on them, and just crabbed every little snack that came his way. He had his left hand shoved into his trouser pocket and he was munching on some kind of fancy seafood thing. He bloody hoped he wasn't going to get food poisoning from these things but he couldn't help himself when there was free food on offer. Someone went by with a tray of champagne and Ant tried to call them over but his mouth was full. He chewed as quickly as he could, coughing a little at the end before he lightly jogged over to where the champagne was. "Thank you kindly, ma'am." He said with a little 'click' of his tongue and a nod of his head. Turning back around to face the direction from which he'd come, Ant made sure to stand himself upright, making himself attempt to look as though this was a place in which he belonged but clearly it was not. If Quinn wasn't such a bang up lad, Ant probably wouldn't have even come.

PERSONALITY Boggart: Being outnumbered by death eaters, knowing he's about to die. The Boggart forms a large crowd around him of black hooded figures, all with silver masks, hiding their features, note even their eyes are identifiable. They all have their wands drawn. A feeling of dread overcomes Ant but he's pretty badass, he's ready to fight his way out, even though it's his greatest fear. Also sometimes moths. If he's had a moth scare and runs into a boggart then the boggart takes the form of a human sized moth. Fucking gross, man.
Mirror of Erised: Something incredibly amazing.
Patronus: Duck - Standing up to his bullies. Bo yeah, fuckers!
Brazen and bold but adorable whenever he wants. Ant is a man of many masks and faces. He spends his life jumping from one persona to the next and he loves it. Creativity flows through his veins and it prevails best in his work life, coming up with the absolute best, spontaneous, most brilliant cover stories and backgrounds that he possibly can. Of course he's also good at doing his job, but he does enjoy going undercover possibly a bit more than most others, but daaaamn, girl! He is good!
On the more romantic side of life ... well Ant is really one for romance. He's dated around quite a bit but his dates are usually pretty short. He doesn't like to dip into his families gold and usually lives off his own pay checks, most of which goes to his astronomical mortgage. He's not disowned from his family, but he doesn't really like his parents and would rather try and survive without them in their lives. He's independent, loyal and a total goofball, aka a bit immature.
Outside of work, Ant doesn't really have many friends because he doesn't really have the time to socialise. He's close with a few individuals and he sees his work colleagues as family. He's got their backs and he knows they've got his. Antoine Louis Yaxley was born into a family that wan't really much of a family. His mother and father were rarely in the same room as one another as he was growing up and neither raised him. Antoine, as both his parents always insisted on calling him, was raised by a nanny and always had a house elf on hand to summon for whatever needs he had that the nanny couldn't take care of, after all he had two brothers come along after him, both of whom the nanny would care for. It was kind of a lonely childhood. His brothers were little shits that irritated him from the moment they could walk. He wanted nothing to do with them but was forced to grow up with them. Thankfully Corban, the middle brother, was five years younger than Ant, which meant when Corban was six, Ant was finally on his way off to Hogwarts. Sorted into Ravenclaw, Ant was surprised to say the least. He'd expected to be a Slytherin like both his parents had been but it seemed he was headed for a different path in life, something he was more than happy with. He made friends easily and became known as a class clown. Regardless of his antics, Ant had a good heart and did well in his lessons. He hated returning home for Christmas and the summer holidays but it was never for long. After he graduated, his parents brought him an apartment in London but he's never stepped foot in there. The house elf that belongs to his family cleans it every week, but Ant wants nothing to do with it. While he's not disowned, he's not exactly in his parents good graces. After graduation he went straight to the Ministry and enrolled to be an Auror. After three years of training he passed all the tests and was a fully qualified Auror and has been ever since. He's seen a lot of highs and a lot of lows. He's supported himself and only seen his parents at events he's obligated to attend.
