Hello, gorgeous. Ant’s body was reacting to Liv’s sexy tone. He wasn’t even sure if she was trying to be sexy, but she was, she was the sexiest woman on the planet and right now. “I bet I could make it your best cupboard party.” He said, slipping an extremely nervous hand onto Liv’s hip, expecting a slap to the face, but instead the cupboard door opened and there was a very apologetic woman stood there, but Ant, having been anticipating a slap, jumped back, pulling his hand away from Liv and smacked his head on the wall of the cupboard. The woman shut the door again and Ant rubbed the back of his head. He’d just found some form of confidence and now he felt like a total dweeb.

Ant laughed a little as Liv claimed they'd not dropped the food, and as he pulled him into another room the plate slipped from his fingers at the sudden jerk. They stopped pretty quickly and Ant looked about, it was most certainly not the bar, nor another room, it was definitely a cupboard. He wanted to say something cool something sexy, because how often did he get a chance to be in a small space like this with the woman of his dreams? Absolutely never. This was a miracle. "I've drunk in worse." He joked, although he genuinely had he was kicking himself for not saying something so incredibly hot and sexy that she just wanted to snog his face off. He put it down to nerves and the fact that he was not a smooth individual.
Ant's mind raced as he tried to think of something to say, anything that would make him seem like not a total weirdo, but he ran out of time. Leo was looking in the cupboard, clearly not in the most partying of moods, asking if this was a barbecue or a brothel. Ant was about to respond, his mouth open but before anything could come out, Leo had shut the door, leaving the pair in the dark. "So Leo seems to be having a good time, how 'bout you?" What even was that?! Ant wished he could just smack his own forehead but that would just raise more questions. He was going to have to punish his brain later by getting absolutely smashed.

“An appletini? Sure,” And had no freaking idea, “I just get an apple, give it a quick ‘Reducio’, and there you have a teeny-apple.” He jested, although perhaps he should have been paying attention to what was going on because Liv saved his handsome face from getting smashed by a flying cocktail, and the sound of a commotion up ahead lead Ant to believe that someone was missing a drink. “I mean, if you wanted me close you should have just said.” He took a step back and saw that he’d dropped half her food on the floor. Well shit, he was not on form today.

Damn! What a relief! She was a hottie with a sense of humour. Ant knew he liked her for a reason. Well okay, he didn’t know, but he was relieved that she wasn’t some stuck up prissy cow. Awesome, this one would really hurt when she got around to stamping on his heart, even if it wasn’t intended. Great. Awesome. Cool. “Tell that to Hogwarts-me, total lame-o.” Why? Why did he even do this to himself? “So what’d’ya fancy? A cocktail, rum and coke, beer?” Merlin be damned she was hanging off of him while they walked to the bar. A woman like Liv probably liked a spectacularly fancy drink, something he wouldn’t have a clue how to make, but he’d damn well give it a go if she’d give him instructions on what to do. He could throw around a cocktail shaker without smashing any valuable, right?

Ant gave a light, fake laugh at Liv as she stretched out that awful word he’d used. She asked if he had anyone and he could have laughed, “I came solo but as you can clearly see, I’m fighting the ladies off left right and centre.” Ant gave a quick swipe of the air as though invisible women were indeed clawing at him. “So, do you need a drink to go with that?” He said, indicating to the food Lola had sent him over with. He’d more than happily fetch Liv a drink, hell, he’d get her just about anything she asked for.

“Ha!” Ant laughed as Liv said she felt like she was in trouble. Oh Merlin, he could only imagine the sorts of troubles he could get himself into with a girl like her. The sexy kind, that was! Definitely not the illegal sort. Ant was not the illegal kind of guy, although as Liv stroked her hand down over her leg, Ant couldn’t help but think he’d do just about anything Liv asked him to, hell, he’d even pop his own mother right now. “Heh, yeah.” What was he supposed to say next? He had to think quick, “So are you here with anyone, friend, lover ..?” He trailed of, face a little paler as the colour washed out of him. Lover? Seriously? Could have have been a bigger twit? “I mean, boyfriend, or girlfriend if you’re that way inclined,” He was not making things any easier for himself.

The music was poppin', the lights were flashing and everyone was starting to get a little more in the party mood, "Yes, Frey-Frey! Woo, you go girl!" He hollered as Freya started getting into the party mood, swinging her bottle around and getting her hips a wigglin' and a shakin'. "Boo!" He called after Kit, but he wasn't going to let that stick in the mud put a damper on what was going to be an epic night, "Moody!" He yelled, waving his hand over the music to where Moody was stood with his wife and Doc, "Take that shirt off, baby, make them pecs dance!" Everyone need to lighten up, this was a party and they all needed to let loose! Ant himself bounced on the spot from side to side, his energy levels feeling like they'd last forever as the atmosphere gave him the energy he needed to make sure that this was going to be a blast. One chick had already left and the night hadn't even really started yet, Ant was going to make this a night that at least one person was going to regret the next day.

They were the cool kids! Ant was pumped to be hanging out with some badass colleagues at what was essentially a castle, Freya and "Someone get this woman a bottle of shamp-ag-un!" He called out to the room, if Freya needed a bottle of champagne, then she was going to get a bottle of champagne, this was a party and people needed to celebrate! “You do you, mate,” He said, patting Kit on the back, “Plenty more fish in the sea and plenty of time to go fishing later.” Ant wasn’t even sure why he was talking about fishing, but it didn’t matter, he grabbed a beer from a tray, “Turn the music up and turn off the lights,” He said, giving his wand a wave to have the lights dim before colourful orbs began floating overhead, dancing above the party goers, this party was going to rock!

She said his name. Oh holy magic balls. Ant’s lips pursed into an awkward smile, “You’re welcome.” He said, his lips removing that weird thing he was doing that only barely passed for a smile, “Just call me Ant. Antoine’s a bit stuffy for my taste.” He said, hoping that he didn’t come off like an absolute twit, “I like your trousers.” He said, physically pointing to them, as though she wouldn’t know where they were, “You look very fresh and fruity.” He laughed, kind of awkwardly, and wished that he’d stuck by Lola’s side instead, she’d been easy to get on with, not that Liv was difficult, but Ant couldn’t help but be awkward when face to face with such a stunner.

Ant smirked, laughing quietly as Lola accused him of being a liar, “What gave it away, huh?” She was a funny one, Ant thought she wasn’t too bad to hang out with. Obviously he would have loved to hang out with the hot blonde, Liv Burke, but she was way out of his league. So was Lola, but they were just hanging, chatting about total rubbish, if he was anywhere near Liv, he was certain he’d put his foot in his mouth. Ant took the plate as she took the spatula. He looked around in the direction that Lola was pointing. Liv!? Ant could feel his stomach drop. “No worries, that’s fine.” Fine. Totally fine. He told himself. “Lovely chatting, Lola. Good luck with the grilling, make me proud, girl.” He shot her with a finger gun and a little ‘pow’ sound and made his way over towards Liv, praying that he didn’t trip over his own two feet. Ant took a deep breath and calmed himself, being sure not to trip as he stepped inside and approached Liv. “Hey,” He said, his voice deeper than he intended, “This is for you.” He clear his throat and pointed a thumb over his shoulder at Lola at the barbecue, “Lola sent me.” He smiled awkwardly, feeling awkward but hoping she wasn’t going to scoff at him or anything too harsh because he had a feeling he would just die.

Keep Kit company, "Sure we will!" He grinned his biggest grin, keep a colleague company with another colleague at the birthday party of yet another colleague that had walked out? Sure, sounded like a blast! Who wouldn't love to babysit someone that looked as though they'd rather go home. His date had ditched him, and no matter how much he insisted they were 'just friends', it seemed to Ant as though there was certainly something else there, although he didn't get the impression it was romantic, more kind of ... forced? "Perhaps you'll meet someone here," He said, although everyone here was pretty much either from work or a spouse of someone from work. "Or just hang with us, we're the cool kids." He was putting his foot in his mouth again, he could feel it.

Lola was a bit of a smart-arse. Ant chuckled, about to answer but they were interrupted. Ant didn’t ind so much, “Sure, mate.” He smiled, turning the sewers and making sure they all looked cooked enough. They were kind of brown on the outside so he figured that was good enough. If people got food poisoning then he’d just blame L-Man. “So many medals,” He boasted to Lola, using tongs to pass over the prawn skewers to Liam, “I even have a trophy.” He boasted. He did have a trophy, but not for barbecuing, he wondered if anyone had a trophy for barbecuing, surly it couldn’t be that hard of a thing to do. “Sure did!” He said, puffing out his chest, proudly, “I stood her, with the spatula, and voila.” He said waving his tonged hand over the remaining skewers on his side of the barbecue. Where was he supposed to put these now they were done?

Gone home? Well shit. It hadn’t been because of the D-Man, thing, had it? No, that would have been ridiculous. Sure all that nonsense was embarrassing, but there was no way that it would cause Kit’s date to head home. Ant knew he could occasionally put his foot in his mouth, but he felt fairly certain that he was not the reason that Dora had headed home. Shoving another bite into his mouth, Ant nodded his head as Freya going them, “Fawley,” He said, mouth half full. He swallowed his food and took a sip of his beer as Kit said he was contemplating leaving. “He struck out with his date.” Ant said, jerking his head in Kit’s direction.

“L-Man!” Ant laughed, fully accepting that he was a totally twit but hey, they had a crazy thing now, and crazy things always brought them closer together, although he was sure D-man would disagree, but he could be a stick in the mud at times. “Haven’t seen them.” He said, not to sure who was about, but he had only just got there and Leo’s house was pretty damn huge. “Sure, yeah, no worries, no worries, I got this, all cool here, L-man, all cool here.” He said, giving L-Man a salute as her parted, “Hey there.” He smiled at the girl that said ‘hey’ to him, “I’m Ant, barbecue legend.” He said, waving the spatular a little, as if that was somehow proof of his tstus, even though it had just been given to him by Leo.

Good lord he was never going to live that interaction down. On his gravestone a hundred years from now Ant could just envision the words 'Here lies A-man' chiselled across the steel grey granite. Ant grabbed a fresh drink from a floating tray nearby and headed for the food table, popping a few pieces of cheese in his mouth before adding a couple of grapes. His cheeks were full but he grabbed a weird spoon looking thing with lamb on it and turned to face the room. He spotted Doc headed for Moody and his Mrs, and then the Dora chick heading for Kit. Ant just finished his mouthful of fancy cheese and grapes and shoved the lamb in, letting out a moan at the flavours. The spoon disappeared as soon as he was done with it and he chewed the meat that practically melted in his mouth. Ant once again spotted Kit, but this time he was headed for Ant. Ant quickly took a sip of the beer he'd nabbed from the tray and smiled at Kit, "Hey, Devereaux, how's your date doing?" Perhaps she'd just gone to the loo to powder her nose, either way, it seemed a bit odd that she was at a party like this, she definitely seemed more like the type he'd see at clubs or total ragers, not a little birthday party for Humbert.
