Order of the phoenix application
Connection to the Order: The Zeller twins were invited to join the Order by Dumbledore himself thanks to their reputation at school. They weren't afraid of a fight, they wouldn't be treated as less than because of their blood status, and they didn't take crap from anyone. He admired that and thought it would be of great use in the Order, to have muggleborns who weren't afraid to shine and stick a finger up to the snobs. Dumbledore didn't hesitate to send the invitation to the twins, and so after zero thought (can't speak for Zelda), Zach agreed to join, and that was that.
Useful Skills: Great with a gun. No, seriously, he uses his muggle heritage to the full and actually kind of maybe prefers it to magic, but he's very much a stubborn bum and set in his ways, so don't hold that against him. He's great with a wand and excelled at Defence Against the Dark Arts at school. Just anything to do with using his fists, wand, or a weapon, basically. He probably should have been an Auror or Hit Wizard, but he's far too into crazy monster creatures to pass up that opportunity. Rest assured, he can kick arse, and everyone knows it. As for a second skill, err... he can set dangerous creatures on bad guys? Does that count? He totally would do it.
Useful Affiliations: Again, I repeat; dangerous magical creatures at his fingertips. Ready and willing to use in battle. Take advantage, Mr. Dumbledore, Sir.
Why join the Order of the Phoenix? To kick the arse of the snobs who tried to bully Zach and his sister at school? How can I put that into 200 words, it's that simple! I suppose he's always liked to stick a middle finger up at anyone who thought themselves better than others. He never backs down from a fight, and he refuses to be seen as unworthy of something that was gifted to him by higher powers. He's no less worthy of his magic than purebloods are, and if he has to blast a few in the face withhis gun his wand, then that's just a perk of the journey as far as Zach's concerned. He is a muggleborn fighting for his freedom and his right to a world that the likes of Voldemort does not control. The sooner he can put this bunch of idiots in their place, the better, and he'll have as much fun as he can while he's doing it. There is the added element that his sister is in the Order and there's no way he's letting anyone harm a single hair on her head. He'd join just for that reason alone, but getting to fight by her side is a bonus, really, and he doesn't plan to let anything bad happen to her, not while he's alive and around to stop it.
