PERSONALITY

Boggart: Clowns. Jovi despises them and for no reason at all, she's never been to a circus, she's never had interactions with a clown, but the idea of a grown adult, dressing up and behaving in such a way means they must have a lot of issues and are more than likely killers.
Mirror of Erised: Jovi would see herself being worship and praised, several men proposing to her and begging for her to marry them.
Patronus: Ostrich - So Jovi cannot produce a patronus and all of her 'happy' memories are artificial. She has never really truly experienced true happiness apart from when she's being listened to by a group of "friends".

Jovian, or Jovi as she prefers to be called, is a rather snobbish sort of girl. She doesn't like spending time with people of lesser blood however she will tolerate them for a while or if she needs something from them. Usually there's not anyone she needs anything from and so she's rather much a cow to everyone she meets that isn't a pureblood. There are the occasional exceptions but not many. 

Jovi has hidden depths. The most of which is her intelligence. She puts popularity above everything else and so she keeps her straight O's a hidden from her "friends". Being seen as intelligent is not the way to gain popularity, only a way to earn a reputation as a nerd. Jovi is pretty, beautiful in fact and that's how she wants to be seen. 

Mainly her strengths lie in Transfiguration. It's easily her best and most favourite lesson. She gets through the advanced lessons she takes with ease and is even contemplating becoming an animagus once she's graduated. She believes it will be easy enough for her what with her talents.

Transfiguration isn't the only thing she loves, Jovi loves languages and speaks a great range. Every summer she learns a new language and if a language lends itself to another, rather than taking a couple of weeks to learn a new language, she can pick it up in about 4 days.

Now Jovi might sound like the complete package with her looks, her intelligence, and her personality, but she has her flaws. Apart from being a conceited snob she's got a fear of, and rightfully so, of clowns. Not just clowns either, she has many fears including heights, her magic being stolen by muggles, being seriously attacked without her wand, small rodents, bugs, anything slimy and gross. She's a bigot, bully, and will only do something else for someone else if it benefits her in a way she approves of. She's easy to get on with - if you have the right blood.

Jovian was the first born child to a pureblooded family. Yadda yadda yadda. Y'all know how this goes. She was raised to be proud of her blood, to believe her blood and her heritage were better than those of half bloods and muggleborns and especially muggles. Jovi went to all those fancy get togethers and at some point after her graduation from Hogwarts she's going to be married off to someone with one heck of a family name and a mountain load of gold. She's fine with that. Maybe she'll find someone before then, maybe not but whatever happens she'll do her duty as she's been taught and trained for. So yeah, a standard life for this lass from the type of elitist family she's from.

So what about something that makes her stand apart? Well her personality doesn't really, there's a billion girls like that. Bitchy, smart, snob. It's basically a necessity in the pureblood world, but despite that Jovi still wants to be liked and wants to impress people. Mostly she wants them to feel the need to impress her and it works. She has all sorts of people running around after her at school, hoping to fall into her good graces, hoping to be noticed by the popular girl.

Unlike many others Jovi isn't just smart, she's crazy intelligent. She gets it from her dads side of the family. She barely needs to study and she picks up new things so much faster than others. She was spoilt as a child and given all sorts of pets she thought she wanted but she neglected them all, perhaps even killing a few, but shh. She has a dark streak that also flows through from her fathers side of the family. So what did she get from her mothers side? Well good looks and incredible hair. She was raised around all her cousins but mostly at the pureblooded balls and social gatherings although the Lestranges are 10 years older and Dora a little older than Jovi. Jovi however was incredibly close to her cousin, Theon even if he was a couple of years above her. Together the two would rule the Slytherin common room. Theon was sassy, bitchy, and the perfect friend and cousin until he died in his sixth year which was her fourth. She took it rather hard having lost one of the only people she actually considered a friend.

So this history is a little all over the place and why? Because as much as Jovi seems to have her shit together, she really doesn't. She was raised in a house of what can only be described as chaos. There was always something going on, something to get ready for. Jovi's passion is reading and learning new things, improving her mind is her jam! So why wasn't she a Ravenclaw? We'll get into that later. Right now we're talking a little of her childhood. All the social engagements she had to attend, all the shopping days her mother would take her on, all her lessons in reading, writing, and being a proper lady as she grew. There was no real time for real, genuine learning and so she'd sneak in a book whenever she could, she'd fake being ill at mealtimes in order to snuggle up in her reading den and just read the night away.

So Hogwarts, lets talk about that now. Clearly you know she was a Slytherin and yet her mind, and the sorting hat, both wanted to scream for Ravenclaw. So how did she end up in the house of the snake? Because she asked. She didn't want to be a social outcast. Her parents, aunts, uncles, grandparents, and cousins were all Slytherin; every single one of  them. She didn't want to be different, she wanted to fit in and she would do so in anyway she could. The sorting hat weighed up her options as she sat on the three legged stool for the longest time in her entire year, back and forth-ing with the Sorting Hat over Slytherin or Ravenclaw. Eventually Jovi got her way, as she's used to getting.

Jovi's in her seventh year and she has no plans for her future so she took the subjects she liked and she excels in them all. She's the top of her year, head girl, and dates only the most pureblooded and accomplished boys. She has no idea who she'll be married off to but her parents have offered to give her until 22 to find someone by herself and they promise she will be married by he 24th birthday after they arrange a speedy engagement and marriage. Jovi accepts this, she finds it a challenge and besides, if she marries a turd she can always kill him off and inherit his fortune - oops! Was that out loud?! Just ignore it, darlings, just ignore it.
