Order of the phoenix application
Connection to the Order: Dumbledore took a personal interest in Kit because he was part-vampire and an Auror. He and his siblings had always been under closer supervision than the other students at Hogwarts because of their nature, though their goodness and strength was encouraged, and Kit found he trusted the headmaster as someone knowing the Devereaux family secret. After proving themselves unquestionably good at their core, despite any vampire blood in their veins, Dumbledore was surprised and pleased as punch to see Kit pursuing becoming an Auror, and once his training was completed, he contacted Kit with an invite to join the Order of the Phoenix, an invite which Kit took very seriously and accepted after a full week of consideration. He does not regret his decision.
Useful Skills: Well obviously being an Auror is a huge boost in Kit's usefulness. The training he recieved, the information he has access to, and even the place he works are all pretty helpful. Aside from that he's half vampire. Half vampire. As in, stronger, faster, quicker to heal, can walk in the sun and every other perk that comes with the curse. Sure, he's not immortal, and he can be killed, but that doesn't affect how much use he can be to an organization like the Order, and he is willing to give his all to the group, feeling that every piece of scum he can kill or lock away brings him closer to peace over the vampirs that ruined his mother's life.
Useful Affiliations: Access to Minitry files and workers. Though Kit will not be underhand or break rules, he will do things by the book and still be able to find out any needed information for the Order. He was a Ravenclaw, after all.
Why join the Order of the Phoenix? As previously stated, he was invited by Dumbledore himself because of what he could provide to the Order. He lost his mother to vampires when he was a young boy, and though they aren't Death Eaters, they are just as bad, and anybody doing those kinds of evils, anybody taking innocent lives and ripping families apart, should not be allowed to get away with it as far as Kit is concerned. That is why he became an Auror, to fight back against the scum of the earth, and that is why he agreed after careful consideration, to become a member of the Order of the Phoenix. He wants to fight, he enjoys it, he gets a weird sense of pleasure out of seeing bad guys carted away to Azkaban, and he gets even more satisfaction if he was the one to capture them. He wants justice for his mother, and any evil-doer taken out of the game is one step closer to that. He trusts Dumbledore, and he's actually made a few friends out of Order members, who are strangely like a sort of family to him, something he appreciates, being a more reclusive type, and he is one hundred percent dedicated to the cause.
