There were quite a few places that were worthy of mentioning if you fancied a whole new wardrobe. London was full of incredible and expensive shops but Jovi had her heart set on Whimsic Alley where some of the most expensive boutiques were located. The Summer months were upon them and Jovi had insisted that she needed new summer clothes and she asked Dora join her for some shopping and lunch. Jovi had been a little surprised that Dora had brought her baby along but it was no big deal, Jovi supposed she needed to spend more time with little ... uhm ... she recalled it was some kind of generic flower but for the life of her she couldn't remember what the baby was called so she'd just refer to her as 'cutie', 'sweetheart' and 'darling', which would be enough to get her by because honestly, who needed to know the name of a baby? Still she greeted her cousin with a hug and looked at the baby with a genuine little 'Awww'.
"It's been so long, I feel like I've barely seen you lately." She said in a semi-sad tone but clearly obviously happy that she was getting to spend time with her cousin. Jovi had always felt closer with Theon but she'd always got on with Dora. After Theon's death the two had become even closer and so it felt weird to have not been in contact with Dora properly for a while. The last time she'd seen her cousin was when she'd visited after she'd had her sweet little flower, but that wasn't really enough time to talk and gossip like they were so good at, but hopefully they'd fix that today. "How's motherhood suiting you?" She queried, genuinely wondering if it was a hard thing to do. Jovi wasn't yet sure how she felt about babies and children but she'd always figured she'd have them someday, but unlike Dora she'd definitely be married. She didn't have the nerve to dare go through with a pregnancy outside of wedlock, she had a reputation to uphold. She may have pretty much jumped from boyfriend to boyfriend, never staying single for long, but there was no way she'd ever have a baby out of wedlock and especially not as a single mother. Part of Jovi thought Dora was absolutely insane for doing what she was doing, however another part of her thought it was quite brave, too, although Jovi did think Dora didn't really have anything to lose and only company to gain.

She was a little bit ruined a beautiful disaster but she was magic
A new wardrobe was definitely a requirement these days. Dora’s figure hadn’t bounced back as quickly as she had expected it to. She’d tried on a few of her figure hugging dresses this morning but opted for something looser, still not pleased with the excess belly she’d been working hard to lose. There had never been a need to exercise before Pansy. Dora was naturally thin and graced with a high metabolism that allowed her to eat almost anything she wanted within reason. It had also been easier for her to forgo a meal pre-pregnancy, but now the idea of skipping lunch just made her even more tired than she already was. Pansy wasn’t a great sleeper, at least not at night. She was loud and fussed, and thought she needed to eat every thirty minutes or else the world was going to end. In the day, however, Pansy was an angel. Sleeping in her pram during a shopping trip was practically a given, though if Jovi was lucky the tiny brunette would wake long enough to show off her gorgeous eyes.
Whimsic Alley was the perfect place to pick out a few new dresses while simultaneously showing off her new little love and catching up with her cousin. Dora was simply over the moon that Jovi and Fin were dating, and there was so much gossip to discuss over their still new relationship, but she would of course allow the redhead to gush over her baby and herself first. Pansy had truly been a gods-send to the attention-starved single mum. She loved having strangers come up and gush over the cute little outfit she’d picked out for Pans, or the adorable way her stick-straight black hair stuck up like a little hedgehog. A little time away from the baby was not only welcomed but a huge relief, but she’d not gotten much of that just yet. Still, if she couldn’t have time to herself then at least she was the center of attention.
Greeting Jovi with a hug, Dora positioned Pansy’s pram at just the right angle to avoid the direct sun but still be easily visible to her adoring second cousin…cousin once removed? Dora didn’t know but exactly how the relations all worked out, but Jovi was some sort of cousin to Pansy and would need a good view of the baby for the obligatory ‘awws’ and ‘ooohs’. “I know. I would have arranged something sooner but this little one has taken up all of my attention. She’s darling though, so it’s hardly a bother.” In true Dora fashion, she kept hidden as much of her real thoughts and feelings as possible. Only a few very select people were burdened with witnessing Dora’s darker moments, of which the new mum was having plenty these days, but she had spent her entire life pretending everything was lovely that it was almost like second nature now. Even family wasn’t privy to all her ups and downs, though they probably could see a bit more than Dora thought she was letting on. “It’s just been fabulous. Really, it has. She practically sleeps all day long and just makes these adorable little cooing sounds. Its brilliant, I’m sure you’ll hear it soon enough.”

Cooing or not, Jovi didn't really care much what the baby did. She was more interested in shopping with her cousin and talking all about Fin. Well not all about Fin, there were plenty of things that Jovi would keep for herself, and she didn't want the whole day to be about Fin, but he was certainly going to be a decent sized chunk of it, after all she was dating him and he was Dora's best friend, they'd both have plenty to say. "Oh, I'm sure. She's just incredible, Dora." She said, smiling a little as the little being moved, "And she's so much like you!" Then again Jovi had no idea what the father looked like, no one did. If Dora wasn't even sure who the father was then how would anyone? At least it was a pureblood. Probably. She'd supposedly met the father while on holiday with Fin at an exclusive Purebloods only get away, so the chances were it really was a pureblooded baby, but the rumour mill did like to churn. Jovi rather enjoyed it, not because she enjoyed people talking of her cousin behind her back, she absolutely hated that, but it was so amusing when people would cast aspersions with regards to Pansy's paternity, yet they had no ability to back themselves up, something that shut them the hell up when Jovi pointed it out. She wasn't scared of what these people had to say, they were all gossipy little trollops.
"So what are you after?" She asked Dora, wondering what Dora was after first in order to give them some direction, although, if she didn't mind, Jovi wanted to head to the little boutique down the alley that had all sorts of exclusive apparel for ladies with their deep pockets. Well Jovi's deep pockets, she wasn't sure what Dora had available to her but everything would be on Jovi's daddy today. He thought it was good the girls spending time with one another, he very much encouraged it, although Jovi felt he wanted her to spend time with Dora and the little Pansy in the hopes that Jovi would be put off having children for a while. Well, he needn't bother, Jovi had no intentions of getting herself knocked up, that was something she would care about once she was married, although perhaps he hadn't planned on Pansy being such good little baby. Either way, babies were a long while off right now, she wasn't even sure if Fin was marriage material, and if he wasn't then she'd still need to find Mr Right, although cute, funny, rich, and psychopathic all worked in Fin's favour at the moment.

She was a little bit ruined a beautiful disaster but she was magic
Jovi’s remark made Dora grin. Pansy was so much like her. Yes, of course she was. Dora was gorgeous – everyone knew it, and Pansy was gorgeous, too. She was a little chunker but Dora managed to disguise the baby’s pudgy little rolls with frills and sparkly accessories. Dora knew all the fashion tricks Pansy would ever need to know, but she’d been assured by the healer that babies were supposed to by pudgy and that Pansy would likely grow out of it. That was a reassuring statement, as Dora was still reeling over her extra post-partum belly weight. They were both chunky at the moment, but could hide it with a cute outfit until they shed the weight.
“Pans has more clothes than I do,” she said in response to her cousin’s question. “Not that I’m lacking, by any means.” Dora laughed lightly, beginning to push Pansy’s pram down the cobblestone alleyway toward some of the nicer robe shops. “But I would like to get a few more dresses for summer before all this lovely sun goes away. I can’t allow my daughter’s closet to be better stocked than my own.” Shopping was going to be tricky in her current state. Dora’s typical attire was short and skimpy, showing off enough leg that she looked six feet tall despite being a petite five foot, three. Five foot, eight with her shoes on. How was she supposed to wear summer dresses when she was currently a self-proclaimed erumpent? Needless to say, she wouldn’t be telling Jovian that she needed to go up a dress size. “I don’t really have anywhere particular in mind though. What are you thinking?”

The summer had been beautiful and it was even better when you were able to disapparate to wherever the sun was shining. Work prevented more time for enjoyment, but Jovi had holidays planned for the end of July, she and Fin could take a little vacation somewhere exotic. Given what Dora had gone through the last time she'd taken a holiday with Fin, Jovi doubted her cousin would be taken away to a tropical resort. Perhaps a little holiday in Skegness would do Dora and Pans the world of good. "Let's start at Abs Font then," She said nodding her head in the direction of Absolute Fontaine, "We can get formal wear out of the way for the upcoming galas, shindigs and what-have-you." She said, "All daddy's treat. He said we should spoil ourselves." She grinned, bouncing a little on the balls of her feet. Her daddy had a soft spot for Dora, even though they weren't blood relatives themselves, but she was Jovi's blood relative and Jovi totally owed her for all that she had done over the years, getting her into clubs, protecting her from creepy guys at clubs and so on.
"Let me push!" She said, taking the pram from Dora. It was not a desire of Jovi to have children, not yet at least, but she could play favourite aunt to little Pansy, even if she wasn't all that interested in actually looking after the chubby baby. It was probably best to give Dora a sort of little break from parenting for a while too. Had Jovi of thought of it ahead of time, she probably could have asked her mother to babysit little Pansy, though she would have perhaps run the risk of her mother wanting to tag along, and as much as Jovi did love her mother, she was after some time with Dora.
As Jovi approached the shop, the assistant inside pulled open the door, allowing Jovi to push Pansy in to the shop with ease. The shop girl cooed over Pansy, calling her "Absolutely darling." Jovi stopped the pram to the side as a woman with a tray of champagne came over. Jovi left the pram and took a glass, looking at the runway they'd be strutting their gowns on in only a few moments. "I want to see that gold one, the green one over there, and those two black ones." She said, pointing around the room, talking to all the staff who collected what she wanted and took it off to a changing room for her, an assistant standing at the drawn curtain, waiting to assit Jovi in anything she would need.

She was a little bit ruined a beautiful disaster but she was magic
Absolute Fontaine was precisely the sort of shop Dora would have been overjoyed to spend her uncle’s money in a year ago, but the idea of ‘getting formal out of the way’ with her current weight problem wasn’t the dream shopping trip she’d been hoping for. Nevertheless, shopping at any size on another man’s coin purse was infinitely better than no shopping at all. “You’ll have to send my thanks to Uncle Ti for me!” she said excitedly, handing off Pansy’s pram to her cousin as the pair made their way to the shop.
Once inside, Pansy was all but forgotten as the girls began directing the shop staff. It wasn’t as if she could run away, she couldn’t even roll herself onto her stomach yet. Dora was sure she’d be fine in her pram, a spare shopwitch stopping to shake a shiny something or other at her while making baby talk.
In no time her fitting room was stocked with gorgeous dresses of every color and style and Dora was hopping behind her curtain to shuffle herself into a dress that seemed determined to point out Dora’s belly roll. “So… don’t make me wait any longer. I’m dying to know!” Her voice was raised so that Jovi could hear her clearly, completely disregarding the employees or any conversations they might be in the midst of. “Tell me about you and Fin! He’s been suspiciously mum about the whole thing, which means he definitely likes you.” Finally having squeezed, shook, and shimmied herself into the dress and pulled up the zip, Dora smoothed out the wrinkles on the front of the skirt before pulling back the curtain and stepping out of the dressing room.

Jovi was in and out of the dressing room in a flash! The green dress she picked out caught the lights in all the right way. She got herself up in to the runway, feeling like a model only prettier. She ran her hands over her curves and looked at herself in every mirror she could as she walked all the way down, Dora asking about Fin. A little smile crept on to Jovi's face. Fin wasn't like the other guys she'd ever dated. Sure he had money and he spent it on her with little gifts here and there, which was what she looked for in a guy. He gave her his full attention when they were out together and better than that, they shared quite the interesting hobby. "He's such a gentleman, not snogging and telling." She giggled a little, she, however, was no gentleman. "It's going well, I think." She said. She had good vibes from Fin. "He's taking me on holiday next month." Which happened to be around the time of her birthday so she was certain that wouldn't be her only treat for that month. "He's met mummmy and daddy officially as my boyfriend." Which was a big deal. She'd not really invited any of her previous boyfriends to meet her parents but they'd all been morons, "And he introduced me to his parents." It was all a rather big thing. She hadn't met his sister, she'd been off seeing the world, but his parents seemed to like her.
"That's about all really," She said, returning to the dressing room, definitely getting the stunning green number. Jovi thought about her relationship with Fin. They'd been on quite a few dates together. They always had fun but the most fun was when they let their little psychopathic tendencies get away with them. There was something positively enthralling about watching an attractive human being drain the life out of someone! None of her other boyfriends had that going for them. All of her other boyfriends had only had their wallets going for them, occasionally one that was pleasant to look at, though mostly they were certainly beneath her. There were a lot of pureblooded families but so many of them had such ugly sons. Thankfully Fin was gorgeous and not to mention he was far more intelligent than any of her ex's. What she wanted to find out was who were his ex's. Were they worthy of jealousy? Were there any in particular she'd have to get rid of? She doubted Fin would ever tell her and she wasn't exactly going to ask him, but she did have the next best thing. "So what are Fin's ex-girlfriends like?" She asked, trying on a new dress, "Any psychos I need to be looking out for?" She asked with a bit of a laugh, but in all seriousness wanted to know.

She was a little bit ruined a beautiful disaster but she was magic
They were cousins and understandably Dora knew plenty about her cousin that others might not have. But they weren’t as close as Jovi had been with Theon, and no one would confuse their relationship for that of sisters. It was for this reason that Dora didn’t understand the gravity of Jovi’s confession that Fin had been introduced to her mum and dad as her boyfriend. Jovi had plenty of boyfriends, nearly all more serious than Dora had ever had. The brunette’s longest relationship lasted hardly over a month and it was mostly just sex. There had been one boy at school that Dora thought her father might like to meet, that perhaps he’d be proud of her for settling down with someone from a respectable family, but that relationship didn’t make it a fortnight before he lost interest. Dora would never be used to being alone, but she had plenty of practice. Jovi, on the other hand, seemed to jump from boyfriend to boyfriend without much effort or downtime. Dora assumed at least a handful of them had met the Rowles.
Fin bringing home a posh witch like Jovi, however, would have been big for Daddy Avery. “Mery’s alright,” Dora remarked of Fin’s mum, stepping up onto the runway and strutting down the catwalk as if she were made for it. “We get on well enough and she’s always lovely.” Dora reached the end of the catwalk, turned, and strutted back down. “I’m curious how Aurelius took the news. Did he cream himself when Fin introduced you as his girlfriend?” Dora chuckled at her own joke, knowing full well how much pressure had been on her best friend to find an “appropriate” witch to settle down with. She wanted something different, but if Uncle Ti was footing the bill, she’d get this dress, too.
Back in the dressing room she wiggled out of her clothes once more as discussion turned to jealousy. Dora laughed. “Merlin, no. I don’t think you’ve anyone serious to look out for. Fin’s not really the sort to settle down.” Her remark had been off the cuff, and it wasn’t until the words had left her mouth that she realized how they might be interpreted by his new girlfriend. “Until you.” She pulled a purple cocktail dress over her head and twisted the seams into the proper position. This one fit her new figure better. She turned in the mirror, giving her backside a look and smile pleasantly. “There are probably loads of jealous witches out there who’ve not dated him that you ought to be worried about, though. Everyone wants my Finny Bear, and you’re the lucky witch who nabbed him.” She pulled back the curtain once again and headed toward the runway. “I’d watch where I set my glass in public for a while,” she teased, only half serious. Finley Avery was by far one of the most attractive men their age. His family was well off, and he was the owner of a successful nightclub. He was a total panty dropper, and a bit of a Lothario if she were going to be honest about it.

The shop assistant helped Jovi zip up the second dress. The black number was sleek and shiny though Jovi decided she needed to lose a couple of pounds to fit in it more comfortably, and she was willing to do that for the sake of a pretty party dress. She paid close attention to Dora, watching her go up and down the runway like a well practised model while one of the shop assistants checked on a well behaved Pansy. Jovi chuckled as Dora asked if Aurelius had creamed himself when she was introduced, "Possibly, who knows, he did seem rather pleased with Fin." She commented, thinking that Fin's daddy hadn't been as bad as she'd been expecting, but that was quite possibly because she wasn't a complete tramp like some of Fin's other girlfriends or because she came from a very respectable pureblood line. Either way, Aurelius seemed rather welcoming.
The idea that Fin had never really had a girlfriend or was the type to settle down did ring a chord of doubt with Jovi. She'd always felt comfortable flirting with Fin and she thought he was pretty fun but were they perhaps rushing things? They'd been dating since Valentine's day and she figured that seemed like enough time to meet the parents and what have you, but perhaps she was being too naive. "Hm." She said as Dora seemed to back track a little. Well if this was all just a bit of fun with Fin then she'd just make the most of it while it lasted. She was too young to be properly settling down anyway. Maybe they'd give it another month or two before she grew tired of him and found herself someone new to buy her everything she wanted. She wouldn't become one of those girls that was upset when she broke up with a boy, although Dora's comment certainly did sting a little.
Jovi walked the runway while Dora mentioned other jealous witches. Jovi liked the idea of having someone so many others wanted. She checked herself out in the mirrors and headed back to the change room as she thought about Fin. He was quite the catch and Jovi was happy to see where things would go with Fin, even if it meant guarding her drinks when she was out. If she caught anyone trying to poison her over Fin then she had some rather fun ideas of what she could do with them. "Noted." She chuckled as the shop witch unzipped the dress for Jovi. It didn't take long to try on all the dresses they wanted. Pansy was mostly well behaved but the shop assistants kept her happy while Dora enjoyed herself. After the fancy shop they hit a few less formal places, sending the shopping to their respectable homes before they headed to check out some cute little shops for Pansy. By the time they grabbed some lunch Pansy seemed to be done with the day and Jovi couldn't blame her. Shopping to that extreme took stamina that needed to be built up over years of spending daddy's money - or in Pansy's case great uncle Ti's money. So Jovi gave her cousin a kiss on the cheek goodbye, told Pansy that she was extremely proud of her efforts, and then headed off to a different alley to do a little more shopping alone.
