PERSONALITY Boggart: A dismembered foot hopping towards her. Feet and toes are just disgusting!! Mirror of Erised: Heaps and heaps of gold! She's not money hungry or out to get it by any means, but the idea of being well off in her own right and able to afford whatever she wants in life is comforting and would bring a smile to her face. Patronus: Red Heeler. Becoming Chaser for Gryffindor. She cannot produce a patronus. With bundles of energy Ava is usually bouncing off the walls if she doesn't get enough energy. She needs an outlet at least a couple times a day to feel at ease. If she doesn't go for a morning and evening run then she finds she just can't concentrate. She also had Quidditch to help her burn off a little of that excess energy and she'll even swim in the lake come summer time. She doesn't just have it outside of the classroom, mind, Ava's more than willing to stir up some heated discussions with anyone and everyone and once she's in that mental zone there's just no slowing her down, just while she's in that zone - don't piss her off. She can get a bit of a temper and she's not afraid to let loose on the curse words, also actual littler curses, though it's much more likely you'll get an insult and a middle finger, but don't worry, she doesn't hold a grudge for long if it's a one off thing and she'll be back to normal with you once you've had some time apart. Ava is a confident and bright witch, she's certain in almost all that she does, but that doesn't mean she's not prone to her moments of self-doubt. When her feelings of self-doubt strike, she usually gets quite anxious. Thankfully she's learnt that exercise can help with this, even if she doesn't feel much like doing anything at all, and some days she won't, some days she'll just curl up and do nothing at all, something that occasionally causes concern for those that really know her, but she's back to her regular self by the following day. Also chocolate totally helps fyi. Giving is something that Ava loves probably to the point in can be considered a fault. She's definitely a giver. It doesn't have to be a special occasion and it doesn't have to be a paid gift, she knows that people's joy can be found in many different ways. She's very awkward if people give to her though, birthday's are always so awkward and she's glad she has her birthday in the summer holidays because it would be mortifying if people at school knew when it was and watched her open anything or she had people she barely knew coming up to her and wishing her a ;happy birthday'. Often enough she's happy to just be ignored which is perhaps why she likes to live life flying high and away from people or through the lens of her camera. She's always taking pictures and joined The Hogwarts Herald as their photographer in her fourth year. Though with friends it's a little different, it's always a little different with friends because with friends she's way more at ease and happiest just being her. Love is an area in Ava's life that people probably don't expect her to think much on. She's had a few girlfriends and boyfriends here and there but nothing too serious. Ava is in love with love and while she's not a girly-girl she does want to find someone special that thinks she's also special. The idea of true love being out there for her gives Ava a feeling of happiness, though she has no idea how she's going to go about finding true love, but she does know that if she's not feeling it in a relationship then she'll end things. She won't string a person along and she won't be cruel, although she can be blunt, but she honestly thinks before she speaks so as to soften the blow. She's a sweet individual when you get to know her, and she has a heart of gold. She'll keep secrets about a crush but she won't hold back if there's something that directly impacts another person. Have a secret crush on the hot guy from Slytherin? Okay, cool! Secretly making out with the Quidditch Captain's boyfriend? Not cool. Thankfully the only additions so far have been pets. Ava loves her family and her extended family too, but she doesn't much fancy being a big sister. Growing up in a magical household but with one parent that couldn't perform magic was fun. Technically she wasn't supposed to be doing magic but she could make things happen without consequences from the ministry coming down hard on her. When her brother and sister were adults they would use their magic around the home and Ava grew even closer to her dad, they had their own little club of not being able to perform magic, although she'd break that if they were camped out in front of the TV, watching a western and were in need of the popcorn that was not yet popped. Little bits of magic here and there Ava went off to school and she was sorted in to Gryffindor. She made a lot of friends and mingled well amongst her peers. She was described in the past by her professors as "high energy" and "has trouble focusing". She was told she needed an "outlet for her energy" and so she took up Quidditch, only to find she was rather good at it. She'd spent quite some time playing with her siblings and cousins growing up but they were all better than her because they were considerably older, so to actually be good enough to make Chaser in her third year was a great feeling. She was Chaser for her third and fourth year but switched in her fifth to the position of Beater, a position she finds she much prefers and it helps her release a lot of energy. She's much stronger than she looks. Ava's in her sixth year right now and she has no idea what she wants to do when she graduates.
