"We"? Ava was practically melting. He wanted to hang out with her? He'd just got there and his mate was falling asleep so rather than rouse him he wanted to talk to her?! Well, wanted to tire her out, and wanted her to tire him out! The double entendre was there and she was well aware of how he had wanted it to sound while getting what he actually meant, the bloody swoon-worthy, gorgeous, delectable, sexy Adonis. Ava was both panicking but excited but she knew she had to keep her cool or she'd become a babbling mess, or dribble, or possibly both. There was no way she wanted to fucking dribble and babble in front of Ash Sawyer, quite probably the hottest guy in the school and he was talking to her. To her! "Probably for the best," She said, nodding as though she was some old mage. What was she doing!? She took his extended hand, thanking whatever higher power existed that her hand was indeed dry, "I'm warning you though; I've got stamina and I can go for hours." She said, standing from her spot.

It was as though Ava had a sixth sense about what was going to happen. She was well aware that no matter what she said or did, she was going to be matched with Ash. When her name was called and neither she nor Ash had been paired, Ava just knew that the sorting hat was going to pair them. Did she want to be paired with Ash? Hell yes! There was no one she'd rather be paired with. Did she want Ash to think she totally had the hots for him? Well yeah, but in a cool way, not in a way where the Sorting Hat put you together to snog and get all freaky with one another. Was she still going to go through with tonight? You bet ya.
Walking up to the throne, Ava sat down. She placed her hands in her lap and the hat was slipped onto her head. "Oh yes, well this is easy." came the hats voice but Ava instantly got to thinking, 'No, no, no!'. The Sorting Hat seemed confused, she felt it twitch on her head at her objection, "No? Why, I haven't even told you who your match is. Surely you want to know.", Ava did, she most certainly did, but at the same time she just knew it was Ash, there was no way it wasn't, was there? It didn't matter, 'Ash. Ash Sawyer, but please,' she begged, 'Don't say his name so soon. Merlin I don't want to look desperate or anything.' and she didn't, the idea of being under the hat for all of two seconds before it announced her match was Ash was mortifying, but now was she dragging this out too long? 'Oh shit, should his name have been announced by now?' she wondered, "Who said it's a he?" the hat asked. Ava was speechless for a moment. Had she not been paired with Ash? "Well I think enough time has passed, Miss Kowalski." Ava was already blushing, wondering who she'd get. She'd been so sure her match was Ash but maybe she wasn't his ideal match so perhaps she'd been paired with someone else. "ASH SAWYER." Oh shit. Ava felt the hat lift off her head. She looked about as she stood up. Had he been her match all along and the hat was just messing with her, or had she been so pathetically desperate that she'd somehow accidentally convinced the hat to give her a shot with Ash? Could she have the hat back for a few more seconds, just to ask!?!

Oh for holy magics bing fuck! Ava's mind was a mess as she looked up to see Ash with that glorious face, that shimmering hair, that outrageously gorgeous everything. Ava couldn’t think straight. She'd been keeping an eye out for this god-damned sex god since she'd got there but the second she looked away, he was throwing his cushion down on Cole's sleeping bag, catching the end of hers, too. She just stared at him, and she knew that she was staring, as he sat, but she didn't care because there was nothing she could do about it, her brain was just telling her to stare. Ash was the one guy in the whole school that could turn her brain to mush, and here he was, smiling. At her. Oh sweet baby Merlin, what was this sorcery!? “Heh.” She blurted out, smiling. The idea of Cole making friends was funny but apparently, while her brain melted, she was unable to actually create some kind of normal laugh. Cole excused himself because clearly he was done with this whole people and sleepover thing, and leaned his head back, closing his eyes. He’d seemed as though he was being a bit of a joker about it, but Ava got the feeling he really didn’t want to be dealing with people, which made it really odd for him to be here tonight. “Don’t mind him,” She said, nodding her head towards Cole, “He’s done socialising for the year, I think I wore him out.” She commented innocently, not really thinking how that might sound.

Ava couldn't help but smile as Cole groaned. It was just a little grown but it was enough to let her know that she was really getting on his nerves. She was certain that if she got on his nerves enough he would tell her to sod off, but this seemed to be the perfect amount of annoyance. "It did not." She sighed happily, "However, if it would make you feel better, Mr Snuggles and I will happily move along." Ava picked up Mr Snuggles and looked him in the eye, "Won't we, Mr Snuggles." She said, baby talking her teddy bear. "Won't we. Yes we will." She carried on baby talking the teddy bear. After she was done she turned her head to look at Cole, putting Mr snuggles on her lap, turning him around so that he could look out at the rest of the hall. "You wanna be alone?" She asked Cole.

Ava smirked a little at Cole's admission of always being cute and alone. He was swooned after by a lot of the girls that Ava knew and so she was kind of surprised that he wasn't already being pawed at by desperate cows. Although cows didn't have paws. Bitches? That seemed too harsh, even though she was only thinking to herself and meant a female dog, obviously. Pandas? No, they were way too cute. She was just going to have to settle with bitches, screw feeling mean, it was all in her head anyway. "Ohp!" She said, pursing her lips and preventing a grin, "There you go again, all cute and broody." She said, letting a grin loose, "Keep this up and there'll be rumours about the two of us." She said, nodding her head over to a group of girls that kept looking their way. Ava could practically feel their scowls and she relished in it. "So what was your plan?" She asked, "Sit alone, hope no one would spot you?" She was prying, she was definitely prying, but she didn't mind, he'd laid his hands on her Mr Snuggles without permission and even if he'd not been a twat with Mr Snuggles, he still had to pay in conversation.

Ava wasn't exactly sure what to expect from Cole. They were from different houses but they were the same year. They'd shared multiple lessons over the years but somehow he still seemed to be somewhat of an anomaly. He didn't seem like the type to get close to people, although Ava was sure he had friends, but beyond that she really didn't know much about him. The fact he gave back Mr Snuggles was interesting to her. Half the dickheads in the hall would have lobbed him about, pissing her off until she hexed them in the balls. There was still time to hex Cole in the balls if he pissed her off too much, but she was actually kind of content sitting in silence next to him, nosing in on other people's business, unaware that they were being watched. She stuffed a few chocolates in her mouth, slowly chewing as she concentrated hard, trying to make out the conversation a little out of range. It was no use. They started whispering and Ava just relaxed against the wall as Cole started talking again, "I dunno." She said with a shrug, grabbing a drink, "You're cute and alone, what girl doesn't love a brooding hotty?" She said with a small smirk, just messing with him. She wasn't there because she thought he was hot - although he was - she was just with him because he looked like he could do with the company, even if they didn't talk, and besides, it was a good spot in the hall to see people walking in to the great hall.

Well it wasn't a warm welcome but it wasn't exactly a 'sod off' either so Ava was keeping her cushioned arse parked where it was next to Cole. He was a cutie and all broody so she was glad to be staying, perhaps she could perk him up, although her previous experiences of dealing with broody people lead her to believe that it was rather an impossible task but she didn't care, she kind of had a thing for broody guys, although she didn't have a crush on Cole, not exactly, anyway. He was broody and definitely a cutie, but he wasn't exactly her type. Her type couldn't be seen in the great hall by her or two eyes right now and she very much doubted he'd show, this didn't seem like the type of place that Ash would want to be seen in, though Ava was still going to keep a weathered eye out for him. Mr Snuggles was getting some cut-guy interactions and Ava smiled, "Ah, that is Mr Snuggles. He's my nightly companion." She said, wiggling her brow a little. "He would have been heartbroken if he'd missed out on tonight." She informed Cole.

Ava was most definitely going home for the holidays. She'd spent the summer holidays travelling with Sash. They'd had a brilliant time but, apart from the time they'd spent with one another, it wasn't exactly very family-orientated. This time the holidays were going to be jam packed with family stuff. Ava was willing to admit she was missing her mum quite a bit, and her dad too. She supposed she wouldn't mind seeing her brother a bit either. She was also looking forward to spending the holidays with her cousins. She got to see Heath a fair bit but she didn't hang out with him all too much, they ran in different crowds and they were a year apart.
Tonight was set to be a good night, so long as the spoilt members of Slytherin house didn't create too many unfavourable waves, that was. Ava was dressed in her rainbow star jammies and she even had a little golden teddy-bear along for the night, taking a few pictures here and there to document the evening for herself and for the Hogwarts Herald. Mr Snuggles would have been devastated if he'd missed such a fun night, and looking around the great hall she was thinking she probably should have brought Mr Pox, her stuffed toy fox, too. He'd definitely have liked this shindig! Spotting a loner over against a wall, in a corner and surrounded by plenty of cushions, Ava lowered her camera, getting a few shots, especially of Eli in his get up, and made a not so subtle beeline for Cole. "Hey Mr Broodster," She smiled cheerfully, not caring that the oh-so-cute Hufflepuff beater and captain was more of a loner than most others there tonight, he was at a sleepover, how much of a loner could he be? "Where're ya jammies?" She asked, using her foot to budge a couple of cushions a bit closer to Cole. She sat herself down right next to him like they where best buds, and wriggled her little arse on the giant cushion used a smaller one to support her back against the wall, setting Mr Snuggles in her lap.

So Helley’s pretty cool in lessons, she really loves Astronomy, but when it comes to homework she could clearly not give a shit. It’s mostly ‘read chapter whatever and write an essay on it’ or ‘write an essay about expanding on what we did today’ and then she’ll never really read it but more interact with the students during day lessons like questions and answers. She’ll glance at homework but she’ll mostly base their grades on how annoying they’ve been/how good their class work and knowledge is because she doesn’t believe in essays really. She likes to claim it’s because she’s progressive and cool and because “grades are more than what you can think to put on paper or copy from a book” but really it’s because reading 60 essays that are essentially all the same sucks dragons balls xD Anyway I’m pointlessly rambling but if Morgan put effort in during lessons Helley will probably like her. If she shows some pretty good understanding of the work then Helley will give her decent grades! If all she does is go on about unrelated topics or gossip then Helley will 1. Demand all the gossip and 2. Sit her in a corner to doodle or whatever and 3. Share gossip with Hazel xD

Favourite daughter-in-law and she’s pregnant almost right away! Yay! Perhaps a little resentment that it was so easy for her to fall pregnant after Ceres tried so hard for so long and it took Roddy a while to have a child too (I don’t know how much she knows about Bella not wanting to have children etc.) but also yay! grandbaby! Also it’ll be her first grandson so double yay!! I think Ceres will like Lilith but think she’s a bit too proper (which is pretty much the standard opinion really) but it’s good for the Lestrange family image.

Andre’s parents pushed and pushed for him to be a proper little pureblood boy and marry a pureblooded girl from a reputable family. He figured if he could find someone he liked then it wouldn’t be so bad to marry them, he definitely didn’t want his parents to just pick someone for him. He knew Ceres from the pureblood thingies they used to go to and she used to flirt with him, one night they hooked up and then slowly started dating. He enjoyed her company and they were getting to the point where he was going to propose. He had a ring picked out and everything, then he ran into Em who he’d had a crush on a few years ago and he spent an evening with her at a bar, just chatting and hanging out, all innocent, but he decided he wanted to pursue something with her so he broke up with Ceres and it was awful xD

Odie would have been polite and chatty with Ceres when she moved to England. She wouldn’t have known anyone but being distantly related and sharing a surname at the time, Odette would feel most comfortable with Ceres and Adolph.

He was raised with a lot of respect for his elders so he grew up knowing Ceres’s family. He’s three years older than Titus but after they were both all growded up, they became closer. He likes Ceres, gets on with her but it’s that artificial kind of kindness, the sort that’s used just to be polite. He has no feelings one way or another about her really, but she thinks she’s done a marvellous job raising her sons xD
Titus Kalmin Rowle and Ceres Minerva Vesta Lestrange
There’s a big age gap between the siblings. I think they were both closer to Oly and once he dies, they became closer with one another. Ti’s always been a bit of a goof but he’s always been a good sort of guy - if you ignore the murders and tortures and what not - so if he ever saw Ceres looking less than her usual self, he’d attempt his best to help her feel better. I think they’ve grown closer over the years to the point that they’re now pretty close and visit one another etc.
As for Ceres Minerva Vesta Lestrange and all my other purebloods that are younger, they respect her, think of her as Roddy and Rabby’s mum or Mrs Lestrange. Kill two birds with one stone, my younger purebloods also think of Eve Arwen Rowle the same way, Jovi’s mum/Mrs Rowle.

Mummy! Eve was an active and positive presence in Jovi’s life. Jovi loves her mum and hopes to be at least a little like her when she grows up! Jovi’s dated a few guys over the years but they’ve all been trolls mostly. A couple of cute ones here and there but mostly Jovi just wants attention and to be spoilt. She’s been dating Finley Charles Avery now since February and that’s been going well so far. He’s bar far the hottest guy she’s date so I’ll talk with Izzy and we’ll see when they’re going to be a public thing! Then maybe it’ll be Auri, Titus, Eve and Fin’s mummy all getting together. Friends! D's a passionate individual although she's not as vocal about it as Darcy. These two could have met through the Order when Darcy was asking people to sign a petition before they left and D signed and asked if there were any protests planned etc. and then totally tagged along with banners etc. and helped with the chanting!

Okay, some major exaggeration going on there. But here we go! They met when he was a lawyer for the ministry and she was a Hit Witch, about June 1970. They were working on her testimony for an arrest she’d made. It got late and they went back to his with take out, got all smoochy and hooked up. Such romance! xD The trial went well and they got drinks to celebrate because it could totally have been a big case and got all smoochy and went back to her place. They went out for drinks a couple more times and hooked up each time. She joined the Order (aug. 1970) and he was a DE but neither knew anything about that, they just knew one another were totally hot and fun in the sack. She then left the ministry and joined the Appleby Arrows as their seeker. They hooked up once more after that (sept. 1970) but King couldn’t be seen with her again. At least when she was at the Ministry they could just class it as work, outside of that he couldn’t be seen with a half-blood, though he never said that to her face, they just stopped seeing one another because he stopped responding to her owls or whatever it was he would have done to end a colleagues with benefits relationship that she saw as a friends with benefits kinda thing xD She was definitely upset when it came to an end but she got over it fast enough and then less than 12 months later he was engaged and marrying Odette.

Clover Robin Wynne and Hazel Winifred Vector
Clover is Helley's cousin, when Clover was about 4 Helley was babysitting little Clover and introduced Clover to 5 year old Sophie for play dates while Helley hung with Hazel. In lessons Clover's not the smartest but she does try. I think Hazel would really try and help her breakdown what she's having issues with and set her up with someone to tutor her. She's averaging an A but will occasionally hit an E!

PERSONALITY Boggart: A dismembered foot hopping towards her. Feet and toes are just disgusting!!
Mirror of Erised: Heaps and heaps of gold! She's not money hungry or out to get it by any means, but the idea of being well off in her own right and able to afford whatever she wants in life is comforting and would bring a smile to her face.
Patronus: Red Heeler. Becoming Chaser for Gryffindor. She cannot produce a patronus.
With bundles of energy Ava is usually bouncing off the walls if she doesn't get enough energy. She needs an outlet at least a couple times a day to feel at ease. If she doesn't go for a morning and evening run then she finds she just can't concentrate. She also had Quidditch to help her burn off a little of that excess energy and she'll even swim in the lake come summer time. She doesn't just have it outside of the classroom, mind, Ava's more than willing to stir up some heated discussions with anyone and everyone and once she's in that mental zone there's just no slowing her down, just while she's in that zone - don't piss her off. She can get a bit of a temper and she's not afraid to let loose on the curse words, also actual littler curses, though it's much more likely you'll get an insult and a middle finger, but don't worry, she doesn't hold a grudge for long if it's a one off thing and she'll be back to normal with you once you've had some time apart.
Ava is a confident and bright witch, she's certain in almost all that she does, but that doesn't mean she's not prone to her moments of self-doubt. When her feelings of self-doubt strike, she usually gets quite anxious. Thankfully she's learnt that exercise can help with this, even if she doesn't feel much like doing anything at all, and some days she won't, some days she'll just curl up and do nothing at all, something that occasionally causes concern for those that really know her, but she's back to her regular self by the following day. Also chocolate totally helps fyi.
Giving is something that Ava loves probably to the point in can be considered a fault. She's definitely a giver. It doesn't have to be a special occasion and it doesn't have to be a paid gift, she knows that people's joy can be found in many different ways. She's very awkward if people give to her though, birthday's are always so awkward and she's glad she has her birthday in the summer holidays because it would be mortifying if people at school knew when it was and watched her open anything or she had people she barely knew coming up to her and wishing her a ;happy birthday'. Often enough she's happy to just be ignored which is perhaps why she likes to live life flying high and away from people or through the lens of her camera. She's always taking pictures and joined The Hogwarts Herald as their photographer in her fourth year. Though with friends it's a little different, it's always a little different with friends because with friends she's way more at ease and happiest just being her.
Love is an area in Ava's life that people probably don't expect her to think much on. She's had a few girlfriends and boyfriends here and there but nothing too serious. Ava is in love with love and while she's not a girly-girl she does want to find someone special that thinks she's also special. The idea of true love being out there for her gives Ava a feeling of happiness, though she has no idea how she's going to go about finding true love, but she does know that if she's not feeling it in a relationship then she'll end things. She won't string a person along and she won't be cruel, although she can be blunt, but she honestly thinks before she speaks so as to soften the blow. She's a sweet individual when you get to know her, and she has a heart of gold. She'll keep secrets about a crush but she won't hold back if there's something that directly impacts another person. Have a secret crush on the hot guy from Slytherin? Okay, cool! Secretly making out with the Quidditch Captain's boyfriend? Not cool. Her moral code is firmly set, quite probably due to never being able to lie to her mother, so she really values honesty.

Born to a loving couple, Ava was the third and so far last child for Queenie and Jacob Kowalski, although Ava believes her parents are rather unpredictable so who knows if they might not have another child after her, sure she's nearly a grown adult, but she doesn't think that'll stop her parents if they decided to add to the family. Thankfully the only additions so far have been pets. Ava loves her family and her extended family too, but she doesn't much fancy being a big sister. Growing up in a magical household but with one parent that couldn't perform magic was fun. Technically she wasn't supposed to be doing magic but she could make things happen without consequences from the ministry coming down hard on her. When her brother and sister were adults they would use their magic around the home and Ava grew even closer to her dad, they had their own little club of not being able to perform magic, although she'd break that if they were camped out in front of the TV, watching a western and were in need of the popcorn that was not yet popped. Little bits of magic here and there Ava went off to school and she was sorted in to Gryffindor. She made a lot of friends and mingled well amongst her peers. She was described in the past by her professors as "high energy" and "has trouble focusing". She was told she needed an "outlet for her energy" and so she took up Quidditch, only to find she was rather good at it. She'd spent quite some time playing with her siblings and cousins growing up but they were all better than her because they were considerably older, so to actually be good enough to make Chaser in her third year was a great feeling. She was Chaser for her third and fourth year but switched in her fifth to the position of Beater, a position she finds she much prefers and it helps her release a lot of energy. She's much stronger than she looks. Ava's in her sixth year right now and she has no idea what she wants to do when she graduates.
