Work was nearly done for the evening. Sera had pulled a double shift yesterday and was rostered on again for today but she didn’t mind too much, she enjoyed her job, meeting patrons, getting to know them and their stories, mixing up a special brew when the occasion called for it. Life was busy, especially when combined with her commitment to the Order, but it was good. Mostly. Sure there were bad things happening in the world but Sera still find joy and life in the little things, she still found time for herself and her loved ones. Tonight she had no plans but fancied a little time to relax. She’d been working what felt like non-stop for over a week and now she was looking at two whole days off. She had to enjoy every second of them.
Wiping down the top of the bar and drying it as she went, Sera caught a glimpse of a young couple that had wandered in. Here gaze fixed on them for a moment, the damp rag she’d been meticulously wiping the bar down with came to a stop, she clasped the dry cloth in her hands. She recognised the pair, or at least him. Her heart leapt into her throat at once and she was glad she was nearly done. She saw them leave their coats at the front and she quickly busied herself, grabbing the damp cloth, drying the bar and rushing off, out of sight. Her ex-fiance and his new girlfriend. It was not what she’d wanted to see tonight. True she’d left him but it wasn’t hard to just forget about the feelings you had for someone, and it was even harder when you realised that you’d been in love with a giant piece of dragon dung.
“I’m off, Toby.” She said with a faltering smile. “I’ll give the staff room a quick wipe over before I leave.” She said with a smile, hoping that would take her up to few more minutes she needed before actually clocking off for the night. “Okay, Sera. Have a good one.” He gave a nod of his head and she took a deep breath in, looking over Toby’s shoulder, seeing her ex about to reach the bar. She ducked away quickly and made her way to the staff room, figuring she’d leave via the kitchens tonight so she wouldn’t be seen.
Once in the staff room Sera set the cloths to work while she got her coat on, grabbed her bag and slung it over her shoulder. The cloths finished and rinsed themselves out in the sink before heading to the laundry pale in the hallway out the back of the kitchen. She followed after, cutting down the corridor the patrons weren’t allowed in and made her way to the kitchen, giving greetings and farewell to the folks that did all the hard work before she left out the back door.
Met with the cold winter air Sera didn’t really fancy doing anything all too special after seeing her ex. She just wanted to head home and maybe do a bit of star gazing later on. She fancied reading a bit of tarot but after the last time she wasn’t going to risk it for herself. Getting in touch with her divination roots was certainly on the cards tonight, if only to calm her nerves a little, but as she stepped out onto Whimsic Alley from the little side lane the kitchen led out to, she wondered if prying into the future of this world was really such a good idea right now. Whatever they say your soul's unbreakable Echo had been so tired since she had signed on with the Arrows that she kind of considered it her default mode these days. She spent what felt like all of her time with her new teammates, training and working out, or playing actual games. Then there were media things they had to do like photoshoots of the new line up and interviews which she had found really weird. Everyone told her she'd get used to it, and she could feel herself relaxing into things a bit more, but it was still all so foreign to her, especially the part where she was now in the public eye. That was tiring and a little bit stressful, but honestly she wouldn't trade her job for the world. It was her dream, and it really was a dream. When she was up there in the air, crowds cheering in the stands, it was the most incredible feeling, a high like no other, and she wanted to hang on to it for as long as she possibly could. The good thing about her still being a new player was that she could still go out without being recognised. Most of the time, any way. She had had a few experiences of being stopped for an autograph by a particularly keen Quidditch fan who knew all of the new members of each team. It was fun. Odd, but fun. She did feel like she needed some space from it, though. A little bit of time that had nothing to do with Quidditch, and her teammates were far, far away. She tried her best to fit in time with her family whenever she wasn't working, and then there was the task of seeing her friends, too. It was bloody hard work, and it was a good job she didn't shy away from working her butt off to get things done. She had spent the afternoon shopping in Whimsic Alley for that exact reason. She hardly ever visited the place in the day time. It had fancier shops and you needed a bit of money to buy what was on offer. It just so happened that Echo was earning a bit of money now, and she could actually afford to shop there, so she'd treated herself to a few things. A new coat, some nice jeans, and a pair of boots with a price tag that had made her eyes bulge, but they were so comfortable, she just couldn't say no. Why the hell shouldn't she treat herself? Now she was lugging her new boots and clothes in shopping bags down the alley, thinking of heading to one of the cute little bistro's for some tea. It wasn't until she was nearly on top of her that she recognised the back of the girl walking in front of her. "Oi, sexy!" she heckled, adding a wolf whistle for good measure as she trailed behind Sera Devereaux with a grin. _______________________ tag: Seraphina Alala Devereaux words: 520 notes: <3 outfit: Snuggly. template by izzy [googlefont="Over the Rainbow"][googlefont="Cinzel Decorative"]

Merlin this was a terrible feeling. Sera had no idea how to feel about that stupid bloody prick that was taking some girl out to the restaurant where she bar tended, but it wasn't good. She told herself that she didn't have feelings for him. After he'd lost it at her in that shop she knew that he was a piece of human garbage but they'd had so many good times too. He could be so sweet and so generous, not just with gifts, he was a very talented and giving lover too, but after he started getting her to cut off her friends and family she'd started realising something was wrong. She'd never cut them out of her life so she continued to see them, not letting them know that there was anything wrong with her relationship. She kept her life with him and her life with her family separate. She wouldn't let either side know what was going on. Then he'd found out. He'd lost his temper at every tiny little thing and then in that shop he'd raised his hand. She was in her wedding dress, he had to approve of it before he allowed her to buy it and she couldn't have any friends there. He'd tried to hit her. Tried. She was too fast for him and she'd grabbed him. She was stronger, too, and she'd squeezed his hand to the point that she'd fractured it. He'd deserved it.
Sera was lost in her thoughts. It was a dangerous place to be. A voice cut through her memories like a knofe through cake and Merlin knew she'd appreciate that analogy. Sera turned around with a grin, beaming to see Echo in person. It had been way too long since she'd seen the blonde beater but Sera understood. The woman was busy, she had a life goal that she was perusing and that took time to do properly and not just half-arse it. "Echooo!" She squealed, reaching around the other woman with wide arms and pulling her into a huge hug, squeezing her and kissing her cheek. "Gee you've been busy! Enjoying the paychecks, huh!" She giggled, knowing Echo wasn't exactly one for girly things like trying on clothes and shopping, but it was often good to get something new to freshen up the wardrobe, "It's been way too long, what are you up to right this second?" She asked, knowing that Echo could very well be on her way home but Sera fancied a little fun and Echo was brilliant for that. She was kind, lighthearted and a total wildcat! If there was anyone that could take Sera's mind off of her ex, she knew it would be Echo, and together, even if she didn't get her mind off of him, they could bitch about him to the point that Echo might insist on finding him and hexing his smarmy features off, just to send him a message. Sera didn't like that idea of him knowing she still thought about him but at the same time she liked the idea of hexing him and Echo was far better at hexes like that than Sera could ever hope to be! Whatever they say your soul's unbreakable Sera's grin was just gorgeous as she turned around and ran to Echo, wrapping her in a hug. Echo flung her shopping bags around Sera's back and gave her a squeeze, her own smile making her cheeks hurt. She needed to spend more time with her friends, she missed Sera when they didn't get to hang out as much as they were used to, and Roma, too. And Ollie, but she wouldn't be admitting that out loud to anyone. Her crush on Sera's big brother was strictly top secret, not even her friends knew and she wanted to keep it that way for as long as possible, because the embarrassment would be too much to handle if they ever found out. She was sure neither of them would mind, but just knowing that they knew. Urgh. It would make her feel so awkward whenever she found herself in Devereaux company, and there were a lot of Devereauxs around, you weren't hard pushed to find yourself in the vicinity of one at any given moment. She couldn't even escape them at work. Not that she wanted to. She really didn't, she loved them all to bits. "Oh, I just bought the most amazing boots!" she gushed, letting Sera go and waving her shopping bags at the brunette before stopping and scrunching up her nose. "Whoa, I sounded like an actual girl, then," she realised, not usually one for being very girly at all except for on special occasions. Those boots were worth it, though, and she intended to whip them out and show Sera as soon as she got chance. She was sure the other girl would appreciate them just as much as she did. Sera was way more of a girl than Echo was, she always looked amazing, and her ability to walk in heels was something Echo would never not marvel at, though to be fair, Echo was getting better since she'd graduated. She'd gotten a lot more practice in with all of the events and official things she had to attend with the Arrows. It seemed she would be learning more skills than just ones required on a broom, and she was secretly grateful. Nobody liked to wobble around like a toddler every time they wore shoes that weren't completely flat. Sera asked what she was up to and Echo raised an eyebrow. "I was gonna get food," she said, "as if you couldn't have guessed that." It was probably one of the first things people would guess when wondering what Echo was up to. She was a foodie, she wouldn't deny it, and it was definitely the way to her heart. Or one of the ways. Animals worked, too. And Quidditch. And anything to do with being out in nature. Honestly, she was easily pleased. Right now, though, she really was hungry, and if Sera wanted her to do anything that involved something other than food, she would agree because she loved her friend and wanted to spend time with her, but she would be damned if she wasn't at least getting pizza to go along with whatever they ended up doing. Pizza and fizzy lemonade, and possibly some brownies for after. She began to think about nearby pizza places that they could stop at. She couldn't help herself. All of the different topping options floated through her head like the most delicious dance show that ever existed, and then brownies joined on the end, skipping along like happy little squares of joy. _______________________ tag: Seraphina Alala Devereaux words: 613 notes: <3 outfit: Snuggly. template by izzy [googlefont="Over the Rainbow"][googlefont="Cinzel Decorative"]

Shoe shopping was always a delight and something Sera often used as a pick-me-up when her mood was low. She was great at making drinks that would lift the spirits of those around her, give them that little push they needed to forget about their worries for a while, but she never made anything like that for herself. All she ever did for herself was call herself an idiot and wish she hadn't wasted so much of her time on her ex-fiance. He'd hurt her but not only had it been a bit of a messy break up (even after she'd literally ran off on him), it had made her question herself and her abilities. Perhaps she wasn't as good as reading what people were truly like as she thought, perhaps all she could see about people was the superficial, what they wanted the world to see. She'd fallen for one bad guy and who was to say she wouldn't fall for another? It had been a long while since she'd sworn off guys for a while, and Sera wasn't sure she could ever go back. She had no interest in women so that was a no-go and men just had the possibility of hurting her. Yes, she was very much aware that she was a complete coward on the romance front!
Sera laughed at Echo feeling girly. The girl was far more feminine than she'd ever like anyone admitting but compared to her sisters she was more the tom-boy of the three. "You'll definitely have to show me! I can't resist a cute pair of boots." She had far too many shoes and boots at home but was always willing to gush over a newly bought pair, no matter who they belonged to. Sera felt she could be having her windpipe crushed by Death Eaters in cute shoes and she'd still love the shoes and ask where they got them from. It wasn't likely a Death Eater trying to crush her windpipe was going to overpower her, she was much stronger and far quicker than the vast majority of humans, but if that situation ever to arise, Sera was sure she'd prioritise finding out where the shoes were from while she choked and tried to breathe rather than freeing herself. Perhaps that would be the way she would die someday. What a fabulous way to go, she thought amused by herself.
Food was just perfect. It was perfectly Echo and it was a perfect distraction. She could get her grub on with Echo and distract herself from what she'd seen this evening. If she went home and read tarot then she would recall this evening for weeks, possibly months and just feel all kinds of confusing emotions, with Echo in the picture she'd look back on this night and remember all kinds of positivity and new boots! What wasn't to love about that!? That was if Echo wasn't meeting with anyone, though Sera had half a mind to invite herself along regardless! "Excellent!" She said, looping her arm through Echo's, "Where are we eating, I'm feeling famished." She said, tugging Echo along. She could go for anything from pub grub to something high end and fancy! She imagined that they could most certainly liven up a boring old restaurant full of old codgers with far too much money, sitting around in a musty smelling place with far too many burgundy curtains and low lighting, sipping brandy and smoking cigars. Okay so Sera wasn't exactly sure what kind of restaurant she was imagining but they weren't likely to go anywhere like that! Whatever they say your soul's unbreakable Sera looped her arm through Echo's and they headed on down the street in the direction they'd both originally been going in. Echo didn't know where Sera had been off to. She suspected she might have been working, but she could have had other plans. Well, whatever those plans might have been, they were well and truly dropped now, and Echo steered them arm in arm across the street towards she little bistro on the corner. "Let's go to Louie's," she said. "They have the best pizza." She really did want pizza now. Louie's was quite posh, as far as bistro's went. It was lit with the most stunning candle displays, and the tables were all made of glass. The seats were soft leather benches that were lined with the plushest cushions you had ever seen in your life, and it was far less stuffy than the proper restaurants that were popular in Whimsic Alley. It was the cute version of fancy. Fancy for the common folk, and just comfy and easy. And they really did make the best pizza. Echo used her elbow to push the door open, stepping inside the tiny eatery as a tinkling chime overhead sounded their arrival. A waitress approached the two girls immediately and waved her hand around the room with a smile. "We have a few tables open, ladies. Take your pick and I'll be right over to take your order." Well, if that wasn't much better than assigned seating, Echo didn't know what was. She much preferred being able to choose your own table, and she glanced at Sera as they stepped further into the room. "Whaddya think?" she asked, blue eyes scanning the tables on offer. It wasn't too busy, what with it only being a Thursday evening, so there was a good amount of choice for them. "Window seat?" she glanced at the window table behind Sera, and then over to the back of the room. "Or over by the jukebox?" She quite liked the though that they could control the music for the night, sitting right beside the jukebox. She didn't really mind where they sat, though, and she waited for Sera to offer up her thoughts on the matter, her bags weighing heavier in her arms the longer they stood there. She couldn't wait to put them down and just relax. And eat. Eating was top priority. _______________________ tag: Seraphina Alala Devereaux words: 426 notes: <3 outfit: Snuggly. template by izzy [googlefont="Over the Rainbow"][googlefont="Cinzel Decorative"]

Louie's! Perfecto! Sera was well aware that she was terrible at accents and she was not going to attempt an Italian accent out loud, but she really fancied some pizza now that Italian was on the menu. Pizza with plenty of meat and with all kinds of toppings was definitely what she’d be ordering along with a delicious thick crust. Crispy and crunchy pizza? Yes please! She could really do with the carbs too. They were her secret love. She had a love affair with all things stodgy and heavy. Pasta, potatoes, pizza, bread! Oh Merlin there was no forgetting bread! Sera could live off of bread although she knew she’d bloat to the size of a small house. Unlike Echo she didn’t have the natural metabolism that would just burn off everything she ate, she also didn’t exercise nearly as much as Echo. Sera knew she got enough exercise but she supposed she was a little lax in the training department. She could definitely train a little more but she did enough exercise to keep her figure trim and she also watched what she ate. She realised more on her natural skill of being faster and stronger than most, to get her through anything that might result in a physical fight. She supposed she should be ready for anyone or anything. There were full vampires in the world that were not as kind as her father. Some looked down on the likes of her as a half breed, some wanted for people like her to join them, lead dinner to them, plus a full vampire was that little more stronger and that little bit faster than her. All up full vampires equalled very bad for Sera. But whatever, they were so scarce they were barely worth thinking about. Scarce apart from the one she lived with, but he was her father so she didn’t count him as a vampire really!
The little bistro was perfect for the pair. Sera looked around, not even able to remember the last time she’d been to Louie’s. It was just as she’d remembered, it had a warmth to it that Sera felt a lot of other places on Whimsic Alley lacked. She looked at the choices of tables, juke box or window, for Sera it was an easy choice. She liked to watch people coming and going, she disliked strangers walking up next to her, putting coins into a duke box to pick music she wouldn’t chose herself. “Window!” She said, grabbing Echo’s shopping bag ladened hand and pulling her past the other patrons and snagging a seat at the table she’d had her eye on. She let Echo’s hand go. “Save our table, I’m going to put a small fortune in the jukebox.” She said, “Any requests?” She asked but then she waved her hand, “Who am I kidding, I know what you love.” She said and she scurried off to the jukebox and started feeding it coins like there was no tomorrow. They’d have music aplenty for the night and would only have to put up with the songs that were already paid for. Hopefully they wouldn’t be waiting too long but there was no way Sera was going to sit listening to the most boring or ridiculous songs on the jukebox, picked out by some weird oldies that had no idea what decent music was anymore. Sera hoped she’d always keep up with the music trends, she wanted to listen to the Hook and multiple other bands tonight!

Whatever they say your soul's unbreakable Sera chose the window table, and that was fine by Echo. She shoved her bags under the table out of the way, a little voice inside her head that sounded suspiciously like her sisters telling her to make sure they weren't crushed. She peeked inside the bag with the coat, which was still folded neatly, then inside the bag with the jeans, which also looked not at all bothered at being put under a table. The boots would be fine, they were for feet, they were made to be tough. She shrugged off her jacket and settled in while Sera ran off to load up the jukebox with all of their favourite artists. The Hook would definitely be on the list, and probably 30 Brooms to Jupiter, who were a firm favourite of Echo's since they released their first single last year. They were new, but good, and the lead singer was a real cutie. She also wouldn't mind hearing a bit of Holina Hawthorn, too, since she was having a girly day. She didn't expect any of her muggle favourites to come on, not in a magical bistro, but the wizarding world had some pretty talented artists of its own, she had to admit. Echo picked up a menu from the middle of the table and began to look through it. The waitress who had greeted them kept glancing over to the table to see if they might be ready to order yet, but only smiled and carried on seeing to other people when she saw Sera still missing. Echo was tempted to just order for both of them, but she didn't think there was room for seven pizzas on the table, and she really couldn't be sure what Sera was in the mood for. Echo knew what she wanted after half a minute of browsing the menu, and so she closed it and looked at the drinks on the back instead, thinking something fruity and alcoholic might be a nice treat. She hadn't planned on drinking today, but she also hadn't planned on having dinner with one of her best friends. Flexibility was pretty important in life. So was pudding. She looked at the dessert menu next, stomach letting out a growl as she glanced over the pictures of sundaes and pies, and ice cream, and cake, and... well, there was fruit, but she'd be getting enough of that in the cocktail she was going to order. _______________________ tag: Seraphina Alala Devereaux words: 436 notes: <3 outfit: Snuggly. template by izzy [googlefont="Over the Rainbow"][googlefont="Cinzel Decorative"]

A bit of this, a bit of that, Autumn Vexx came on as soon as the terrible oldy song was finishing and Sera was headed back to her seat. "Finally!" She sighed, sitting in her chair and picking up a menu, "I'm glad we didn't have to wait forever to get to some decent music," She said as it started getting to the good part "Living on magic, giving me them early morning shakes, welcome to the world of loving me, the poison apple's waiting for yoooooooou!" she sung along quietly but clearly getting into the rock side of the love song, acting like she was performing on stage from her chair. Once she was done she opened her eyes having shut them tight and waved her head around a bit while rocking out. "I get carried away," She said in an apologetic tone with a cheesy grin. She was definitely doing miles better than she had been when she'd left work and she was even willing to tell Echo about it, although not right now, right now she was picking up the menu and scanning it, thinking over what she wanted to eat. Once she had a couple of things in mind she flipped to the drinks menu and picked out what she wanted pretty fast. "Know what you're having?" She asked Echo, placing her menu down, ready to get some grub while she inadvertently bopped along to the end of the Autumn Vexx song.

Whatever they say your soul's unbreakable Reappearing and looking more than a little bit pleased with herself, Sera joined Echo at the table, singing along to Autumn Vexx, quite the sexy rock star. Echo hummed along happily, enjoying the show. She gave a little whoop when Sera finished. "You know, I heard Vexx is doing a concert in London this summer, we should try and get tickets, it'd be fun," she said, remembering hearing one of her teammates talking about it in the locker room last week. Autumn Vexx was really popular in the wizarding world, but Echo had never seen her live. It would be great if they could manage to get tickets and have a bit of summer fun planned. "We could ask Roma and Darcy and a few others," she added brightly, liking the idea of a group night out with some of her favourite people. She had to be careful making plans, in her line of work, you never knew when you were going to be playing away, or training, she'd learned, but if she checked her calendar, she could try and avoid any schedule clashes. Maybe Ollie would like to go, too. Echo cleared her throat, glancing again at her menu as she tried to push thoughts of Sera's older brother out of her head. Now was not the time or place to be thinking about her secret crush. Nope. Nope, nope, nope. "Yep," she answered, blue eyes scanning the bistro for the waitress. She waved a little hand at the woman, who grinned and hurried over to their table. "Ready to order, ladies?" she asked, her hip giving a little wiggle to the music as she waited, quill poised over her notepad. Echo liked her instantly for that hip wiggle. "We are," she nodded, putting her menu down. "Can I have a ham and mushroom pizza with extra cheese, please," she said, eyes widening for emphasis on the word cheese. "Like, extra cheese. Extra extra cheese. Please." She flashed another smile at the waitress, expression cheeky but hopeful. The woman chuckled and scribbled on her notepad. "Triple cheese, and a bit more," she said as she wrote. "And a raspberry cosmopolitan, too." She drummed her fingers lightly on the table as she waited for Sera to put in her own order. _______________________ tag: Seraphina Alala Devereaux words: 408 notes: <3 outfit: Snuggly. template by izzy [googlefont="Over the Rainbow"][googlefont="Cinzel Decorative"]

"Yes! We have to do that!" That was an excellent idea! Sera hadn't seen Autumn Vexx in concert either. She was an up and comer, rising in popularity around the wizarding world with her music. She was new and refreshing, not like those old singers her dad liked to listen to. Heck no. Sera liked the newer music, she was always keeping up with the latest bands. She remembered hearing about Autumn Vexx absolutely ages ago when she was just starting out but that was from a friend who wasn't a fan. Sera then heard a song of hers on the wireless but didn't know who she was listening to. She heard the same song again a week later and caught the name of the star and she definitely thought Vexx was worth looking in to. As it turned out Echo was already a fan and so showed her a few things, what was weird was recognising the face, what was weirder was realising it was Regina Malfoy of all people, but still, it was easier to listen to her knowing her as Autumn rather than Regina. Sera wasn't willing to admit to being any kind of fan of Regina. It was probably just as well that she'd come up with a stage name.
The waitress came over to take their orders and naturally Echo went first. She was a machine with food. Sera had no idea where she put it all. It came Sera's turn to Order and she glanced at the menu, "The chicken and brie pizza, please, can I get pineapple added to that?" Because pineapple had to be on pizza. It was the best! The only people that didn't enjoy pineapple on pizza were the ones that had never tasted decent food in their lives. At least that was what Sera told herself, she was very passionately pro-pineapple. "And can we get a bowl of chips to share?" She asked but it wasn't really a question, "A big one." She added, just in case this chick even thought of writing small or medium next to that order, "And to drink I'll have a raspberry mojito." She smiled, closing her menu completely and holding it up for the waitress. Merlin she was glad she'd run into Echo because this was definitely better than heading home all down in the dumps about some stupid tosser. An evening like this reminded her that her ex was a complete and utter horsewanker! Tag: Echo Arista Everwood <3 Words: 412 Notes: <3 Outfit: A Mid-Winter's Evening

Whatever they say your soul's unbreakable Echo began to doubt her own order as she listened to Sera tell the waitress what she wanted. Sera's pizza sounded delicious, too. Maybe too delicious. Or maybe she was just so hungry that anything would sound delicious, and once she got a plate of food placed in front of her, everything would be alright. Her eyes were always bigger than her belly, but she wasn't too bothered by it. She'd still be ordering dessert and trying to get through as much of it as she could. Giving up was for weaklings. Her sisters hated it when she said that. It was one of her favourite lines to save for near the end of a family meal, and Aeon usually kicked off, being the most delicate out of the Everwood sisters. Aeon always left half a plate full of food, and Echo couldn't help but tease. Then steal whatever chips were left on Aeon's plate. It was all in good fun, but she did love being with people who could really dig in and be pigs with her. Sera was no pig, but she could hold her own. Echo waited until the waitress had left to put in their order, and then pulled her bag out from under the table. "My mum always says shoes on a table is bad luck, but-" she pulled her new boots out, in all their knee high, rich brown leather glory -"look at these bad boys!" They were so shiny, with gleaming buckles running along the side, and a heel that wouldn't make her snap her neck. She'd be able to run in them if she wanted to, they were just perfect. And they cost an arm and a leg compared to the clothes she usually bought, which did make her feel a bit guilty, but she ignored the gnawing feeling in her gut and told herself she'd earned those boots. She passed them across the table to Sera so the brunette could admire them properly. "They look better on, but I'm not taking my shoes off in here, I've been walking all day, nobody would thank me for that." She crinkled her small nose with a laugh, imagining green clouds coming from her tired feet. There was no way she could subject an entire bistro to that. _______________________ tag: Seraphina Alala Devereaux words: 411 notes: <3 outfit: Snuggly. template by izzy [googlefont="Over the Rainbow"][googlefont="Cinzel Decorative"]

Sera quite liked shopping, it wasn't her most favourite thing to do in her spare time, but every now and then she got the urge to go into town or take a trip to one of the magical Alleys, and have a good snoop around to see if she could find any worthwhile bargains. It was never that Sera was short on money, she lived a home and her father was a vampire that had had multiple lifetimes to acquire a decent fortune, but there was something so exceptionally pleasing, and British, about getting a good bargain. It lifted the spirits! Though buying at full price was another kind of satisfying. Echo pulled out her new boots and Sera knew she was gawping for a second but she quickly closed her mouth but her eyes were still wide with wonder. "Holy mother!" She exclaimed, "Nice one!" She said, grabbing a boot and stretching it out to get a good and proper look at it. "When your fans get a load of you in these, sales are going to skyrocket." She said, handing the boot back with a cheeky grin. Fame wasn't the reason Echo was a Quidditch player but it was part of the parcel. She was just starting out but her career was already taking off at such a speedy rate.
"So work's going well then I take it?" She commented. She followed Echo's career because she loved the girl and would always be her number one fan, along with Roma. She was a great asset to her team and was kicking some serious arse on the pitch. "Here," Sera said, extending her arm, laying her hand flat, palm up, "Give me your hand, let me read your palm!" She said eagerly. Sera loved divination in all its forms and wanted to see what was coming next in Echo's life. She had such a promising career that success in all forms was fast on its way, and besides, it was just a bit of fun. Sera fully believed in palm reading, she was certain she was actually quite brilliant at it, but only sometimes. It was a little hit and miss whether she could actually see things but regardless, she'd be able to come up with something. It was about time she had an update on Echo's Heart and Head lines. Sera just loved to snoop on her friends lives! Tag: Echo Arista Everwood <3 Words: 401 Notes: <3 Outfit: A Mid-Winter's Evening

Whatever they say your soul's unbreakable "Fans? What fans?" Echo laughed. She didn't think she was at that stage of her career yet. She was the newbie. The rookie. The fresh meat that everybody wanted to pound to death before deciding whether it was tender enough. Okay, that made no sense, but she was not part of the main meal yet. She was the sauce at the side of the dish that everybody gave wary looks at because they weren't sure what it was yet. She was certainly no Sullivan, who was like the most delicious hunk of meat on the menu. Nor was she a Johnson, the fine wine that went down well with everything. And she was definitely no Ollie, who was the double chocolate sundae that everyone had a second helping of because he was just so yummy. Bloody hell, she was hungry. She was a hungry mystery sauce. Though at least she was on the table, that was what mattered when it came down to it. She'd made it onto the table, and she was damn proud of herself for doing it. Sera reached across the table, wanting to read Echo's palm, and the blonde rolled her eyes with a dramatic sigh. "Urgh," she said in her moodiest tone. "You know I don't believe in all that mumbo jumbo." Of course Sera knew, Echo wasn't shy about letting people know what she did or didn't like. She'd avoided Divination at school, and thought the whole thing was just a load of nonsense. Yes, magic existed, but being able to see someone's future in a teacup, or a crystal ball, or lines on their hand? It was a bit far-fetched, wasn't it. Still, she stuck her hand out and obliged Sera, as usual, watching with a sceptical look on her face. "I'm getting trashed by arsehole reporters for being small and female and a Beater. Does it say anything about that?" she asked, glancing at her upturned palm and thinking the only thing she could predict was that it was highly likely to curl up into a fist and knock someone's teeth out before her year as a professional Quidditch player was through. That was the only prediction that she would believe today. Though she wouldn't grumble if Sera told her that her stomach would be full in the next ten minutes. Could you see stuff like that in a person's palm? _______________________ tag: Seraphina Alala Devereaux words: 426 notes: <3 outfit: Snuggly. template by izzy [googlefont="Over the Rainbow"][googlefont="Cinzel Decorative"]

Echo was way too modest. She had plenty of fans that were following her career. She'd not been out of Hogwarts long but she was making an impact in the world of Quidditch. There were stories of her in the sports section of the prophet every other match she played. Okay well mentions of her, and how she wasn't exactly what people had expected. So fresh from school and barely looked to have a muscle on her body, people were sceptics when it came to their sports so few had faith in Echo, but Sera had faith in her friend. She was probably most followed by men, but there were certainly a few women and girls that would love to follow her career, look up to her as an inspiration. Quidditch was one of the few good things left that the Death Eaters hadn't targeted and it felt like a safe place to go. Security was always tight and Sera doubted there would be an attack on one of the most wizarding sports in the world. "The ones that carry your picture with you wherever they go." She smiled, knowing there had to be someone out there somewhere with a picture of Echo that they were carrying around, waiting for her to sign some day. Maybe. Possibly. Or no. But yeah, of course there was! Sera was sure of it, she could practically feel lit in her bones.
"Pffft." Sera said, rolling her eyes at Echo scepticism. "That's because you're not blessed like I am. You have your brutish sports and I have my delicate and sneaky ways of prying into your life." She grinned cheekily, taking hold of Echo's hand. "Come on, I promise it'll be worth it." She said, looking down at Echo's hand, running her left index finger gently down the head line of Echo's hand. "Hmm." She said, tiling her head a little, "What are you hiding?" She muttered, turning Echo's hand towards the light a little more and then tilting her own head to get a better look. She mumbled a little, looking intensely into Echo's hand, twisting it gently this way and that, running her index finger over it, looking at every little crease. "Well that just makes no sense." She said out loud, shaking her head a little, "Something's hidden and it's not revealing itself. I think it's a person but I couldn't tell you who." She said with a sigh. It was unusual to be this blocked, "Though you're going to suffer in a quidditch match, maybe in about," Sera peered down at Echo's hand again, turning it a little, "eight months." She said, looking up at Echo, "Looks like a bludger's gonna take you down for a match." She made a click with her tongue that suggested 'Oh well, can't be avoided' and then looked down at Echo's hand again, tracing her finger along Echo's heart line this time, her eyes positively lighting up, "Ohhh! Ohh!! Okay, yes." She started grinning, nodding her head. "Yes, very nice." She said, looking up at Echo and letting go of her hand. "Got your eye on a bloke, have you?" She smirked. There was no telling who Sera could see but whoever it was made Echo very happy and there was a clock, counting down, butterflies flapping. "You're gonna get a good snog on New Years," She told Echo, even though that was, like, eleven months off and of course Echo was gonna get a good snog, who didn't get a good snog on New Years?! Well, she didn't, but she wasn't exactly normal when it came to guys at the moment. "Someone you'll be dating, a sort of new relationship but he makes you so incredibly happy!" Sera beamed, positive that this was in Echo's future. The idea of her friend being in love and happy was simply beautiful.
