PERSONALITY

Boggart: Her death, Raina is someone who is truly scared of death. She wants to avoid it because death is end of the line and she doesn’t want to die.
Mirror of Erised: She sees herself as finding a way to beat the odds of Death all together, an actual way to defeat nature and make her immortal with no way of undoing it.
Patronus: Lioness – Raina is unable to cast a Patronus like most Death Eaters but if able to her happeiest memory would be killing her family. The death of her family, the blood traitors, by her own hand as she felt she truly took by the name of her family after it being defiled for decades by the blood traitors.

Raina sees herself as better than anyone in the world, better than her disgraceful blood traitor family. She is the best Death Eater ever, and in her eyes, one day should be Queen. This is no lie, Raina (name meaning Queen) sees herself as the best in the world, her blood is purer than anyone, and half-breeds disgust her. She also sees herself as the most skilled Potioneer in the world. Her narcissism personality and huge ego hurt her ability to make real friends and connections to people, but some can get pass that gets to know a somewhat loyal Raina. While mostly loyal to herself, Raina see’s the need to repay those who were loyal to her to keep them loyal and make unnecessary enemies. However; Raina is a truly cruel person who when it comes to her life over others, she will always choose herself and does not see why anyone would be mad at such a logical choice.

A wickedly smart and tremendously brave woman she has a blunt mouth that comes off as sharp as Excalibur itself and willing to stand up to mostly anyone. She has a rather nasty temper and her fuse while can be long in most cases it is a short fuse that erupts into a complete explosion of anger and hostility from Raina in forms of curses, hexes, and anything else can think of. Raina embraces her selection in Gryffindor house saying the sort hat did so because it saw her as braver than the others in the house, even it’s founder. In her words “The Sorting Hat knew I’d bring Godric Gryffindor to his knees”.

Raina Faye Beaumont was born October 25, 1941 to Aaliyah and Sabin Beaumont a pure-blood family that emigrated from France to England generations ago. The Beaumont’s near the start of the family existence had many of it’s members drawn to the dark arts and pure-blood supremacy views. However; in the last few generations more and more, open minded minds have emerged in the newer generations of family members with some siblings and cousins marrying off to Muggles and half-bloods. Most say no is ever born dark and they are made evil, by snuffing out of a light. However, for Raina there was never any light so ever, darkness is what she was born as. By a young age her parents noticed this on how she acted to her younger sister, using magic at a young age to her sister for not listening to her. When she was eight and the family cat scratched her, Raina lashed out both physically and with magic killing the cat. Her parents were horrified and made sure to alert Hogwarts when she turned eleven and received their letter, asking for her teachers to keep an eye on her.

Afraid Raina would be sorted in Slytherin the first Beaumont in fifty years to do so, her parents were pleasantly surprised when she was placed in Gryffindor house. Raina too young to comprehend pure-blood ideology truly never saw herself as hating anyone based on blood status at least at such a young age. During her school years Raina took to Potions at once, along with Herbology and even Care of Magical Creatures. In all her classes she found herself more interested in learning about the forbidden and dark sub-branches of each subject she studied from Transfiguration to Charms. In her fifth year Raina tried out for a place on the Gryffindor Qudditch team as a Beater. However, by her sixth year she was kicked off the team and almost expelled from Hogwarts when she cursed another student mid-flight during a match. Raina’s parents were friends with the Board of Governors for the school and pleaded for Raina not to be expelled and given other punishment, two weeks’ worth of detentions. During her last two years of Hogwarts, Raina started studying Alchemy and lashed out more ruthless to fellow students. However; this time Raina made attempts to frame other students for evil acts she committed and cover her tracks. Most of the time it worked, at least leading the Professors and Headmaster from having any true evidence against her. These acts could be considered the first realizations that Raina was targeting based on blood status, as each student she lashed out was either half-blood or muggle born.

Upon graduating Raina left England to travel the world to learn more about Potions, and other branches of magic soon becoming a traveling Potioneer experimenting with new potions and rare ingredients she came across during her travels. By the age of twenty-three, Raina settled in France staying at the old Beaumont Manor her parents owned as a vacation home. During this time, she discovered the journals of Eliza Faye Beaumont, a distant aunt of hers that was the last Beaumont to be a Slytherin. Eliza Beaumont was also the last Beaumont to embrace the dark arts, and preach pure-blood supremacy, in her journals she preached about all of this and ranted on how members of the distant Beaumont family was marrying off to blood traitors and how she feared the primary members would soon do it tainting the entire blood-line. In one part she stated “I know what needs to be done, a purge of the family, of those tainted and will to taint the bloodline. Either I’ll purge the family or burn it to the ground before they do any more to taint us”. These words among all the others stood out to Raina as she found herself angry with what her family became and had done, knowing her parents tolerated it even if they were purebloods still.

The next few years Raina holed up in the old manor cutting off communication with her entire family focusing on her practice of Potions and other magic, including incredible acts of dark magic. During this time, she planned to purge the family, and start anew, finishing what her Aunt Eliza had attempted. She also discovered another journal in the house's old library this of belonging to Sullivan Beaumont, the son of Eliza Beaumont. In it, Sullivan confesses he and his siblings killed their own mother when they discovered her plans to kill them and purge the family tree. They gained up together and attacked her one night with the initial plan to turn her in. However; Sullivan wrote that his younger sister Masha killed Eliza believing Eliza would not be found guilty of any crime and would eventually be free and kill them. The revelations in Sullivan's journal fed into Raina's fear she would die and be killed before she could finish just like how Eliza had been. This fear has sent Raina in an attempt to achieve the feat of immortality and beat nature at its own game without ever worrying about it backfiring on her.

In 1970 Raina returned to England after receiving news that her sister in the years prior had married a muggle man and adopted his muggle daughter. This, of course, infuriated Raina and provoked her to lash out and start her family purge at once. On August 28th, 1970 she arrived at her sister’s house attacking and killing her husband instantly. Her sister attempted to fight back but Raina experienced in dark magic easily overpowered her sister torturing her for her crimes to the family and their bloodline. Raina eventually killed both her sister Sylva and her niece, Sandra. Within in a few hours, she arrived at her parent’s house where she holed up in the house for a week having it magically sealed where she invoked pain on her parents for allowing their younger daughter to marry a Muggle. After a week’s time, Raina burnt the house down locking her parents inside alive. The following murders have not been placed on Raina as the Auror office believed she was out of the country at the time and no real evidence to prove that Raina killed her family.

Raina left England traveling back to France where she hunted down for the last five years distant cousins and relatives of the Beaumont family that is a blood traitor or not pure-blood killing them, helping fulfill her goal of purging the family. In the last five years, Raina believes she has finally purged the entire family tree, killing off aunts, uncles, and distant cousins. In 1978 Raina returned to England once again this time eager to join the Death Eaters and help the Dark Lord’s cause. She currently works as Potioneer at Elixirium and is still attempting to find a way to reach immortality even if she secretly believes it will never happen. She is also focused on getting married and trying to recreate the family tree that she destroyed and start the Beaumont’s anew, a family of pure-bloods that embraces the dark arts like no others.
