Life was full of little surprises. It also had quite a few big ones thrown in but all in all it was relatively positive life she was leading. It took a lot to think that way after the death of her mum. For the longest time it felt like the heaviest cloud hanging over her but it just made Lunete all the more determined to make a difference in the world. Lunete never really had any plans to become an Auror. She'd contemplated becoming a Hit Witch and she figured that could be her fall back if she couldn't get through her Auror training but so far was so good. She was doing all that she could to make sure she stayed on top of it all. The course was nothing like school. Sure she was learning and she was getting a lot of hands on experience now she was in her second year but it was hell at times. Some things just went sailing over her head and Kit would spend absolutely hours with her, helping her not just understand it but fully get it. She'd study at his place all night, bringing snacks and drinks to keep them both going. More than once she'd woken on his couch with a blanket placed over her and just a lamp in the corner dimly lit so she wasn't entirely disorientated. She always told her dad where she was going so he wouldn't have to worry. He'd only met Kit a handful of times but he seemed to like Kit. Who didn't? He was absolutely pure gold and one of the best friends she could ever have had helping her through her training. She was so grateful to have known him before she'd started, even if they hadn't seen one another in quite some time.
Putting down her books on law Lunete rubbed her hands over her face. She'd been studying for five hours. Two hours ago her dad had popped up to her study space in the attic and suggested a break and she'd used the classic 'Yeah, okay. I'll be down in a minute.' Her dad was good though, he didn't keep on at her but sometimes she could hear the concern in his voice as though he were speaking the words clearly. He wanted to tell her she was pushing herself too hard, that she needed a break sometimes but she really couldn't afford a break. Training was hard. Harder than hard! She had to put everything into it. All her smarts and all her body or she just wasn't going to make it. So many that she'd started with had already dropped out and somedays she thought it was only a matter of time before they were all gone - herself included. Some of the Aurors that trained them were pretty fantastic. Others not so much. Lunete felt outnumbered a lot of the time because of all the males present but there were a few other women here and there throughout the department, one of which wasn't really all that much to look up to as a person but as an Auror she was actually pretty remarkable. Despite all the males present she seemed to never pay it any attention and Lunete wanted to be like that, however some days it was about all she could think about and it made her nervous as hell. She wasn't as strong as those guys and she never would be but she took comfort knowing she was better with her wand and speedier than most.
Heading to the bathroom in the attic washed off her face and dabbed it dry with a towel. She took the clips out that kept her hair wrapped up in a bun and then remembered the pencil behind her ear. She pulled it out through the strands of her hair and made her way downstairs to her room, slipping a jumper on and leaving the pencil on her desk. She fancied a bit of fresh air. More than that she actually needed it and so she called out to her dad as she headed down another flight of stairs to hear him respond from the utility room. Oh heck! She hoped he wasn't attempting to do any washing because every time he attempted it, without fail, he messed something up. Last time he'd broken the entire machine and they had to get a new one. Nothing could fix it, not even magic! "Dad, I'm going in to town," She said, rounding the corner to see him scrubbing off a pair of muddy wellies, "Do you want me to get you anything?" Her father did not want anything and she tip toed up as he leant down so she could give him a peck on the cheek before she headed for the front door, picking up her bag that she'd left in the sitting room earlier on her way and putting it over her shoulder. Opening the door Lunete realised the weather was a lot colder than she'd thought it was so she grabbed her scarf too, wrapping it around her neck and pulling her hair out over the top. She grabbed her coat down off the peg behind the door and slipped it on but didn't bother doing it up.
After leaving the house and walking down the drive Lunete had no idea where she was headed in town. Her stomach gave a little grumble so she headed in the direction of the bakery with some of the most delicious treats. By the time she got there the rush was over and only a couple of customers stood in line in front of her while she walked along the front of the cases looking at all the sweet stuff on offer. She'd grab something savoury first but by Merlin's Beard they had some scrumptious looking food. Chocolate fudge brownies, freshly baked chocolate chip cookies, all manner of buns and cupcakes, and even a vanilla slice with the icing on top! She was definitely going to get one of those and even though her dad said he didn't want anything, she was going to take him home a treat as well. Something sweet and chocolatey, just as he liked.

Finding You Not all friends were good ones, and though Julian had at first thought it rather strange and insulting to find that not everyone had manners or little things like common courtesy, he had soon adjusted. The friend he was visiting today was one such friend, the man hardly cared for offering guests a drink, or even bothering to ask them to take a seat, or at the very least take their coat off. Jules was used to it, though his visits to this man were few and far between. The man was a friend of the pack, someone who had helped them many times when they had nowhere to go, he had a home in Scotland that he'd allowed Julian and his canine family to stay in free of charge for months at a time, and though he never offered even a glass of water when anybody visited his home, he was a good man. Julian hadn't stayed long, just long enough to have a quick catch up, tell Norman that though he was attempting to set himself up with a more settled existence, Julian's friends would still be in need of accommodation through the rest of the winter, if he would be so kind as to help them out if he could. Norman had agreed, Julian hadn't expected any different from the solid man, and he'd wished Jules the best of luck with his new start, telling him to pop in any time. Lovely as Godric's Hollow was, Julian wouldn't be coming too often. It was a bittersweet place. He had good memories here from when he was younger, an old Auntie on his father's side had lived nearby, and they'd visited and even went carol singing at Christmas time as children, he and River wrapped up like eskimo's in their robes and cloaks, River singing just out of tune, Julian carrying her with his own high voice, trying to drown her out where he could so she wouldn't be thought of in a bad light by the other singers. Yet it was also the place that had destroyed his world, the place where River had been the victim of a senseless attack, her and Bert taken from him in the blink of an eye. He had stopped by the large field where the carnival had taken place, placed two white roses down in the frozen grass, and tried his best not to cry in public. He was a sensitive soul, an emotional man, but he could control some things sometimes, occasionally... Okay, rarely, but he had gained control of the lump in his throat, and headed towards the little area of shops, finding himself inside the warmth of the bakery. Ordering a coffee and a slice of peanut butter pie, he claimed a table near the window, making short work of the pie while his coffee cooled a bit. He saw her coming down the street before she entered the bakery, and Julian's clear blue gaze fixed on her immediately, unashamedly. He watched her as she approached the counter, waiting in the small queue for her turn to order, oblivious to the fact that his weren't the only eyes on her in that moment. She was beautiful. He remembered seeing her at the Ministry a while back when he'd gone to inform Dorian that he was departing for a few days for the full moon. Julian had no idea who she was, or what her name was, she could have been a murderer for all he knew, but she was a beauty, and that was enough to hold his interest for now. He liked a challenge, and if she wasn't going to be eating in today, he would just have to get up from his table and find a different way to talk to her. He leaned back in his seat as he watched, unable to fight the predator in him, which was single-mindedly focused on what it wanted. Stepping to the front of the queue Lunete made her order but continued to check out the display cases. She was all too frequently visiting the bakery in Godric's Hollow because more often than not it was quicker and the food was far more delicious than what she could make herself. She wasn't a terrible cook, not by a long shot, she was actually rather good, but some days she just needed to get back to training or studying and she just couldn't afford to spend time cooking because usually everything would take her an hour plus! at least with the bakery she could apparate near by, grab what she wanted and be home within five minutes, ten if the place was busy, which it could get quite often. It was the best spot in the whole of the village but that was quite possibly just Lunete's opinion because she rather liked food. There were a few little cafés dotted around the place but nothing could beat a good bakery with freshly made everything!
Paying for her order and taking the couple of brown bags Lunete popped her muggle change away in her pocket, letting the coins ring as they hit one another once they landed in the bottom. She rather disliked coins and had a big jar of muggle pennies at home that she was always intending to take to the bank but she just couldn't be bothered until it was completely full and overflowing. Once it reached that stage then she'd leave some coins at home, the ones that couldn't fit in with the lid on, and she'd make her way to the bank with her little jar, have the amount turned into notes and coins of a higher value and then head back home with usually an empty jar and start off the whole routine again with the pennies that couldn't fit in there the first time around.
Turning about Lunete scanned the bakery, intending just to be quick because she had no intentions on staying, however it was hard not to noticed a pair of eyes that were staring directly at her. Something shot through Lunete like a lightning bolt. In the fraction of a second she felt scared, excited, violated and curious all at once. She'd seen the man at the Ministry, he'd been talking to agent Humbert and she'd been staring. Oh for the love of all that was magical she could feel the heat in her cheeks start to rise as a blush overcame her. He'd noticed her staring at the ministry and she'd been mortified then too, just as she was now. She'd tried to busy herself at the Ministry, looking this way and that, forgetting what the heck she was supposed to be doing and ended up walking the wrong way but by Merlin's beard there was no way she was going to turn around and head in the direction she'd actually needed! Not while Mr Sexypants was about. Lunete could not come up with a better nickname and she was just naturally awful at nicknames. Still Mr Sexypants was now in front of her and her eyes were locked with his and she was sure she looked like a rabbit in headlights, suddenly the bakery became incredibly small and Lunete quickly tried to regain her thoughts and not make the same mistake as she had in the Ministry. Walking the wrong direction in here could be absolutely disastrous so she thought, averting her gaze and her eyes landing on a table to which she moved and sat at. Oh frick! She was supposed to be heading home. The moment she sat she knew she'd made the wrong decision, now she was here, her back to Mr Sexypants and with her treat and a brownie for her dad. Oh Morgana she was a mess around a cute guy. She absolutely had to come up with a new nickname because she couldn't look at the guy and just think of him as Mr Sexypants for the rest of her life, it was ridiculous! Though he was ridiculously good looking. She really needed a life coach to get through noticing cute guys. Lesson 1 would have to be not staring, lesson 2 had to revolve in not coming up with exceedingly lame nicknames for them and lesson 3 would absolutely have to do with not losing her mind.

Finding You She turned, and sparks practically bounced off of the walls when she locked eyes with him across the room. Julian stared. Satisfaction coursed through him to have it confirmed that the ministry hadn't just been some fluke, that no matter how many times she saw him, she would stare and she would feel a pull to him, just as he did to her. His lips pursed as she held his gaze for what felt like an age before forcing herself to tear her eyes from him and take a seat at an empty table not too far away. A smirk soon appeared on his handsome face at the fact that she'd sat with her back to him, likely hoping it would shatter any connection she might have felt, but she couldn't have been more wrong. He was tempted to pull out his wand and magically turn her chair around so that she was facing him, but he knew this town was not just a magical community, muggles lived here, too, and he wouldn't be doing himself any favours by exposing magic in front of them just to get the attention of a girl, much as he would have absolutely loved to see her face if he spun her chair. Oh, well, there were other ways to catch a fish. He stood, taking his coffee with him and bidding a silent farewell to his wonderful window table as he crossed to Cutie Pie's table. Without any invitation, he sat in the chair beside hers, not facing, but right next to her so that he could smell the gentle scent of her shampoo and see the soft blush across her cheeks, possibly a side effect of making eye contact with him moments earlier. Julian set his cup down on the table and leaned in a little bit closer to her as he spoke. "Here was me thinking we had a connection, and you go and sit with your back to me," he chided, clearly joking, the dimples in his cheeks on full show as he tried and failed to hide his smirk. She was even lovelier up close, with beautiful grey-green eyes and lips just begging to be kissed. Once again he made no efforts to hide his admiration of her, and he rested his hands on the table either side of his mug, enjoying the heat that emanated from the hot drink inside. "I'm Julian," he told her, hoping to get a name in return but not ruling out the possibility of sass and a rejection. _______________________ tag: Lunete Penelope Dearborn notes: <3 template by izzy[googlefont="Dancing Script"]

In the very name of Godric Gryffindor himself why, oh blimmin' heck why was this happening to her? She was no good around guys she liked, it had never really been much of an issue as there hadn't really been all that many guys she'd had a crush on but this guy was something else, the second she'd seen him it had been instant, like there was something just drawing her in and she absolutely could not understand why. She'd tried not giving him much of a thought. It had taken a few days but she'd eventually stopped thinking about every little detail that she could recall, however now it was near impossible to forget about him. He was here in the bakery at the same time as her. She'd not noticed him when she'd walked in because she'd been so fixed on the treats that were in the cases. She should have looked around, perhaps if she'd spied him when she'd walked in she would have been able to formulate some kind of plan to get her treats and get out while she was waiting like a normal person but then perhaps she would have managed to mess that up some how.
Regardless, she was sat at a table now, her back turned to him so he couldn't see how mortified she was again about staring at her and she tried to breath calmly, not even attempting to have a peek at her own little treat right now, she was trying to think of a way she could get out of the bakery without it looking like she was running away but there was no way she could do that. Before she could think any more on what she was going to do other than sit inside the bakery eating her french vanilla slice, she noticed the chair next to her being pulled out and her head whipped around to see him sitting next to her. She took a calming breath, looking to the bag her french vanilla slice was in and really didn't feel like making a mess of herself in front of this handsome stranger. A handsome stranger that was entirely charming it seemed and had the corners of her lips pulling up into a little smile as she lowered her head, letting her hair fall forward a little to cover herself slightly. She so was not prepared for this today - or ever! "Lunete." She said softly, smiling and pulling her vanilla slice closer to her, unrolling the top of the bag, having no idea how to talk with a guy like him that just seemed so wonderfully smooth.

Finding You There was a softness in the way she spoke her name, though Julian couldn't help but imagine she had a fire in her somewhere. He didn't often connect with gentle souls. Geralina, for example, the beautiful woman he had been sat next to for Christmas Day dinner, was incredibly beautiful, and any man would be lucky to have somebody like her on his arm, but she just lacked that fire that drew Julian in. He had flirted with her, of course he had, she was gorgeous and he was human, but it was harmless. He'd more enjoyed making her feel uncomfortable and delighting in her awkwardness, and rather thought she'd be a nice safe match for his brother if he wasn't already seeing that tiny pain in the arse, Dorcas. Now she was someone who would hold Julian's interest for more than a quick flirt over dinner. She was no challenge, though. He knew he could have her if he really pushed, and she'd be just as wild as he imagined, but it would be too easy. He liked a challenge, he liked the effort it would take to peel back the layers of someone like Lunete and see if he couldn't charm her into following her instincts, which were undoubtedly screaming at her to sit on his knee and have her way with him right there in front of the whole bakery. "Lunete," he repeated, liking the way her name sounded on his tongue. It was one he hadn't heard before, but it wasn't too unusual considering the ridiculous monikers people in the magical world liked to give their offspring. He brought his cup to his lips, sipping the coffee which was just the right temperature by now. "You work at the Ministry," he said over the top of his cup, eyes still on her face as she toyed with the vanilla slice she had in a little paper bag. He wondered if she would eat while he sat with her, or if she'd be the type of girly girl who would be too self-conscious. She was young, it was likely, though she couldn't have been that much younger than Jules. He often felt much older than his twenty four years, thanks to the trials he went through on a monthly basis, they tended to age one's mind prematurely. She was young to be working at the Ministry, though, unless she was an intern, though maybe she had been merely visiting the same as Julian had been, and she had just struck lucky in getting to be dazed by him on the day. _______________________ tag: Lunete Penelope Dearborn notes: <3 template by izzy[googlefont="Dancing Script"]

This was absolutely horrifying. Lunete never really found herself in a situation like this before. She'd had a few crushes here and there but she'd never really interacted with someone that wanted to flirt with her like this, if this was flirting. Now she was most certainly getting ahead of herself. This was barely flirting. They'd noticed each other twice, he'd sat beside her and introduced himself. Though he had said he'd thought they had a "connection" that was certainly some kind of flirting but it could have just been playful, nothing serious. He was probably just a nice guy that had noticed her strange behaviour before and once again now. Chances were he just wanted to make sure she was alright, that there was nothing wrong with her and her sudden sort of movements after staring at him. He was probably used to women staring at him, he was one of the most handsome men she'd ever seen and she'd even actually stared at him. So obviously that he'd noticed. The first time she should have looked away long before she'd been caught looking and this time she should have just glanced at him and looked away when she noticed he'd been watching her.
"I do," She smiled, building up a little courage, "I noticed you were talking to agent Humbert." She said, turning her head to look at him, her fingers playing with the brown paper bag her sweet was in, "Do you work at the ministry too? I've never noticed you around before." This was good. She was talking like a normal human being and not getting completely lost in those sky blue eyes that just shone in the light filtering in through the window. She was only a little lost but she was able to hold a conversation so that was certainly excellent for now however there was no way she was going to be able to eat. The pastry, custard and icing was not something she could eat in front of an incredibly attractive man so she still played with her brown paper bag, just the top of it, not realising what she was doing nor why, she just needed something else to focus on or she really could get lost in his eyes and end up making a much bigger fool of herself than she already had. This Julian fellow was going to leave the bakery today probably thinking she was some kind of fruit bun when actually Lunete thought she was rather quite confident in herself so why couldn't she be like that around such a handsome bloke?

Finding You Julian was quite sure that if she continued to toy with the paper bag on the table in front of her, it would end up with a hole in it, but he enjoyed her nervousness, so he made no comment on it. It was cute. Everything about her was cute, especially that smile, it lit up her entire face and Jules couldn't help but stare. She might have been uncomfortable but at least she was talking to him, that was a huge plus since she could have told him to get lost. He was half charmed by how simple and naive her question was, and half disappointed that he couldn't give her a more impressive answer. No, he didn't work at the ministry, he was a lowly shop assistant in a stinky apothecary because the owner had owed him a favour, and also supplied him with wolfsbane to help with his unfortunate lifelong condition that meant he was a murderous beast once a month. Yep. That was definitely what he should have said, but instead, he went for a simple dodge. "No, I was only visiting. Agent Humbert is my brother," he said, going for a happy family vibe, rather than the reality of that weird situation. Dorian was his brother, but it was hardly a happy scenario. Jules hadn't told a soul of his real hopes regarding the man - that he'd fall off a cliff and leave their infant niece in Julian's care - and he felt strange talking about him, but it wasn't as though rudely telling her to mind her own business was an option. He didn't want to scare her off for touching a nerve right off the bat. "What do you do there? If you don't mind me asking," he set his cup back down on the table, sorely tempted to place his hand over hers to stop the fidgeting. He refrained. "I'd like to know which department to go to so we can have more of these staring sessions. I'm quite fond of them." His smile was one of pure mischief as he watched her face for another glimpse of that beautiful grin. She knew his brother, so she was likely a recruit of the Auror Academy. That, or a complete busy body who just knew everyone in the building out of sheer nosiness. He liked to think it wasn't the latter, he had too many secrets to get involved with a curious kitten. _______________________ tag: Lunete Penelope Dearborn notes: <3 template by izzy[googlefont="Dancing Script"]

Brother. Julian was Agent Humbert's brother? Well that was certainly a revelation Lunete hadn't really been expecting and for some reason she felt a little foolish. She supposed she had never really taken any time to think about Agent Humbert's personal life, and why would she? The idea that the handsome and intriguing man next to her was some how related to the old auror that trained her and her peers had never even crossed her mind. Like Humbert was obviously good-looking, about a seven, but Julian just seemed to be a twelve on the scale of one to ten and how was that even possible!? There were so many questions popping up in Lunete's mind but she kept them to herself, she didn't much feel like making an arse out of herself but clearly their parents had a love of 'ian' ending names, Agent Humbert was a Dorian and many years after him they'd named another son Julian, it was really quite strange, not that she was judging! Not even the slightest, she just found it a little whimsical and a little whimsy every now and then, the kind that didn't cause harm to anyone, was always a lovely thing.
Lunete took a breath in, intending to talk but Julian mentioned their little staring sessions and she found herself giggling a little and feeling so very foolish as the sound left her and she had no control over it. "I'm training, to be an Auror. Agent Humbert is one of my instructors." She told him, unable to help the smile that just naturally took place across her face, he would of course know what his brother did. He was more than just an instructor - he ran the whole training programme. "I'm sorry about the staring, honestly. I don't know what I was thinking." She said, feeling as though she needed to put it out there and apologise for being such a dork but she did know what she was thinking. It was a bad lie. The truth was she did know what she was thinking, she just didn't know how to politely say 'I was staring at you because I think you're bloody gorgeous and I want to know if you're as good a snog in real life as you are in my dreams'. Lunete figured that sort of comment might not go down too well overall and what was her excuse for the first time he'd seen her staring? Heck beyond 'Holy Morgana he's one hot Hufflebuff' she really hadn't had many thoughts the first time she'd seen him.

Finding You Oh, that could get messy. Chasing after one of Dorian's students might not be the smartest idea in the world, and he could imagine the disapproving looks he would get if he caused any awkwardness around the Auror Academy for the two, but Merlin she was pretty. How could he resist? He really couldn't. And he shouldn't. Not for the sake of the brother he had never known, he didn't owe Dorian anything, and missing out on having some fun with a beautiful girl for the sake of saving Dorian some discomfort just wasn't really worth it. "Training to be an Auror," he said, clearly impressed. "So you're cute and tough." Knowing she was capable of kicking his arse if she wanted to was actually more attractive than he had expected it to be, especially since she was quite petite. The stray thought of how she'd handle him in wolf form flitted through his mind, but he pushed it away immediately, not welcoming the thought of mauling her to death when he'd only just learned her name. "I hope my brother is a fair instructor," he mused aloud. Julian laughed at her apology, shaking his head. "Please don't apologise for it," he told her, hating the thought of her possibly regretting the chemistry between them in any way. "I'm certainly not sorry." He wasn't. He'd stare every single time he saw her as a rule, until she agreed to a date. That was if she denied him a date in the first place, but he'd get to that at a more appropriate time. Like in about five minutes. There was nothing like a surprise to get a real reaction, and she likely wouldn't be expecting him to ask her out five minutes into their first proper meeting, so if he just popped it in there, he'd get a completely natural response that wasn't thought out at all. That was what he was hoping for. In fact, what was the point in waiting? Five minutes in was as good a time as any. Carpe diem. "In fact, I think you should let me take you out some time," he said smoothly, eyes watching her for a flicker of reluctance or a sniff of fear. Fear didn't necessarily mean a person didn't want to do something, but it would be a telling sign. A smile would be nice, he supposed, if he were to admit what he'd really like her reaction to be. One of those stunning grins and a confident "of course" would be just perfect, though he could work with many other responses if he had to. _______________________ tag: Lunete Penelope Dearborn notes: <3 template by izzy[googlefont="Dancing Script"]

'Cute and tough' Oh Merlin she could die! Instead she chuckled, nodded her head and tried to think of something witty to say but nothing was coming to her. She was usually quite proud of herself for being able to come back at guys with comments like that, but when they were as cute as Julian it was all an uphill battle. Even thinking was harder around him. She was at a bit of a loss. There weren't many guys that threw her but when they did, she was lost. It was only the good looking ones though. Lunete wasn't much of a crusher, she didn't just fancy random guys she saw walking down the street or standing around talking to her superiors and then again in quaint little bakeries, she usually liked to know a guy before any feelings could develop but sometimes some guys were just too cute and Julian fell in to that 'too cute' category, leaving her to act like a brainless dweeb while he was smooth and damn near perfect. "He is fair," She commented, not really wanting to talk about Humbert really but she'd not been able to respond to his flirty little comment from before and she couldn't just leave everything hanging! "Very fair." Oh hell that was awful. She really had to start thinking of him as just another guy, someone she was getting to know, not someone that was incredibly hot.
Lunete smiled, glad that he didn't seem to find her insanely creepy for having stared at him so much. She could have done with being a little more composed but it didn't seem to have put him off, not even in the slightest because he was still sat next to her and wasn't sorry for staring at her in return. She'd even kind of liked him staring. She wasn't really the sort to notice when a guy was staring at her, her friends were the ones to point it out when it had happened in the past, but this was different, they'd both been staring at one another. That meant there was some kind of mutual connection, right? Lunete thought so and she was a little thrown when he asked her on a date. She'd been asked on plenty of dates in the past but not anything she ever really was interested in. This time she was most certainly interested and she had had to try and act cool and calm but she was already smiling, her face lit up as she gave a couple of nods. "I'd like that." She said, keeping it simple. She wasn't going to continue acting like a right pillock. "What did you have in mind?" She definitely felt more comfortable knowing that she hadn't completely scared Julian off and that in fact, he was interested in more than just staring at one another in public sometimes and it gave her a little more confidence, however she recalled he was Agent Humbert's brother and for a second she figured that could get weird but she wasn't going to mention anything about that. Ever.

Finding You Merlin, she was struggling. The only alternative explanation for her lack of words was that she just wasn't much of a conversationalist, and Jules didn't like that option, so he went with the version where she was just so dazzled by him that she couldn't form sentences properly. That option made him much happier. He didn't care whether Dorian was a fair instructor or not, he didn't care about the man's work at all, if he were being honest, but Lunete seemed satisfied with her teacher so he nodded along, trying not to give away his real feelings by rolling his eyes, or scowling at his cup of coffee. Scowling around this beauty wasn't something he felt like he could do anyway, she made him want to smile, and that was something to hold on to in such dark times. Besides, Julian knew he had the cutest smile in probably the entire world, and he knew that it made him seem far more lovable and innocent than he really was. It hid all of his troubles, all of his crimes, and his manipulative ways fit perfectly out of sight behind the dimples in his cheeks. To his relief - had he been anxious? - Lunete told him that she would like to go on a date with him, and he found that smile surfacing again as he sipped his drink. "Perfect." Now to figure out what she would enjoy doing. "What do you like to do for fun?" he asked. "Are you a dinner and a show kind of girl, or do you prefer a bit of adventure?" Jules could really take either option, he was fond of a bit of mischief and getting his hands dirty, though he couldn't deny the simplicity of making suggestive eyes at someone over dinner and then finding that person accidentally crawling into your bed later on. He didn't find himself thinking such devious thoughts about Lunete, though, she seemed sweet, more innocent than the types of girls he usual found himself attracted to, but he couldn't deny the attraction. Strange. Maybe it was all an act and she was hiding a devilish streak, he supposed he would find out on this date he was now required to plan, and ideas of fun things to do in the middle of winter flickered across his mind one by one, Julian reluctantly placing the idea of them just keeping each other warm right at the back of the list. _______________________ tag: Lunete Penelope Dearborn notes: <3 template by izzy[googlefont="Dancing Script"]

She could come back from this, she could act like herself and not liked some dazed and confused rabbit. Lunete knew she could act like a normal and proper human being on some level which meant she could get to acting like herself, especially now there was an actual dat eon the line! In the name of Morgana she'd never done anything like this before! She'd never been asked out by someone she didn't know and actually gone on a date with them, of course there was still a chance that Julian wouldn't have any interest in her at all right now but she was willing to try and put herself out there a little because she knew she'd be absolutely daft to let this one go! He was charming as well as handsome and anytime he looked at her she could feel her stomach doing cartwheels. She felt like a kid again and there was no telling what she would do next, she just hoed she wouldn't blow this chance. It wasn't often she came across guys that left her acting like a fool, there weren't usually just instant crushes on random guys but somehow this was working out in her favour, just so long as she could be herself she knew she'd be fine.
Lunete wanted to smile but she was already smiling. Julian was just pure charm and she felt as though she could have just melted looking at him. Everything from his gentle curls to that killer smile made her want to spend time with him and get to know him better. She wasn't one to whore herself out by any means but her mind had certainly dashed to the idea of her hands running over his torso. Absolutely absurd considering she didn't even know the guy! "Definitely something adventurous." Dinner and a show sounded nice, but riding a broom through a forest and having a picnic after before racing back seemed like a hell of a lot more fun than sitting on your arse and then sitting on your arse some more. Lunete loved a good rush of adrenaline and flying was one of her most favourite things to do in her spare time, "How are you with flying?" She asked, figuring she could get to know Julian now, there was no need to wait for a date and it wasn't as if it was just his job to come up with something on his own, not knowing one another it would be hard to set up a date with next to no information and if flying was involved then Lunete was certain that no matter how ridiculously gorgeous her date was, that she'd be able to focus on flying which would help her to just be herself which would be far better for getting to know Julian.

Finding You Pursing his lips, Jules fought a laugh, though it crept out anyway and it was his turn to be awkward. Flying wasn't something he was good at. He wasn't bad at it, he was just... nothing about it. He had taken it during his first year at Hogwarts, but that had been over a decade ago, and he had to admit if he tried it these days he would be practically learning from scratch. "I haven't flown since Flying lessons at school," he admitted, a hint of embarrassment in his cheeks, though he would recover from it quickly enough. Julian didn't like having weaknesses, things that he wasn't good at, but such things existed, and he found himself liking Lunete enough to want to be real with her. At least over little things like what he could or couldn't do. There was no chance of him ever telling her or any other girl he dated that he was a werewolf, since he considered it to be a deal breaker. He had had enough heartbreak in his life recently, it was time to be more guarded than ever when it came to his secrets. Nobody would be allowed to turn against him if he had a say in it. "I bet you were Quidditch Captain, weren't you," he grinned, enjoying the image he had in his head of her riding a broom, the wind in her hair, determination in those beautiful eyes. It suited her quite nicely. Jules would quite enjoy having the opportunity to see that, though he got the feeling it would come with a price. The price of himself looking foolish and incompetent. He regarded her for a long moment as he considered whether she was worth it or not. His life was so full of new things, new home, new job, new family. That all seemed to be going fine for him so far, maybe it was a sign, maybe this stage of his life was about learning to embrace new things and to see change as a positive rather than something that brought pain. "I'd be happy to give it another try," he told her quietly, deciding that he had more to gain from pursuing Lunete, and he shouldn't stop himself from having potentially wonderful things in his world any more. She would never know he was a werewolf, so she would never fear and loathe him for that, and he might just have fun along the way. _______________________ tag: Lunete Penelope Dearborn notes: <3 template by izzy[googlefont="Dancing Script"]

Julian didn't look comfortable about flying. He didn't exactly look uncomfortable but he didn't seem to be much of a flier - which was fine! Lunete was more than flexible about what a first date could be like. A first date? Oh Merlin, in her mind that seemed to imply there would be more than one. Would she like that? She wasn't sure, she'd have to see how their date went first, but based on what very little she knew of him right now, she'd rather like a thousand dates with Julian. She was rather jumping the gun a little. Wand. Both. Having been raised by muggle parents she often found her mind split between the two worlds. "Quidditch captain?" She smiled, flattered just a little that he might think that, "No," She said, shaking her head, she'd never been quidditch captain but she had dreamed for the longest time of being a professional quidditch player, not that such a dream had really panned out. After receiving the truly devastating news of her mother she needed a change in her life, she had to up-end absolutely everything and start a new, and right now she was glad to have made that decision because without it she wouldn't have seen Julian at the Ministry talking to agent Humbert and she might not have seen him here either. "Chaser yes, captain, no." She'd focused herself on her school work instead of any sort of position with authority and it was just as well considering the career change she'd made.
The idea of Julian having not been on a broom in quite some time yet willing to try it again for her made her kind of giddy. She supposed it really shouldn't have because it seemed like such a silly thing to be excited about but it wasn't as if it was every day someone was willing to step outside of their comfort zone for her. "I'm free on weekends." She told him, grinning just a little, she was well aware of how young she must have seemed and how excited but she actually didn't mind. This Julian guy, that admittedly she'd only just met, seemed like someone she might just be able to be herself around which was a thought that calmed her and stopped her from being that nervous girl from before that she barely recognised, and if she was too much for him right now then perhaps it would be best to just act natural so at least things would be over before they even began, yet at the same time she did wish she could dial it back just a little but she couldn't help herself, it seemed to be an all or nothing situation right now.
