Oh, oh, oh, Morgana! Jovi hummed the tune along in her head as she slipped her slippers on. Okay, so they were less slippers and more fluffy heels but whatever, she liked to look good day or night. It ran in the family on both sides. The Rowle's were rich and powerful. They had style beyond wildest dreams. The Parkinson's had style but weren't powerful or exactly what she would consider rich but Dora had enough to get by on while she was living with Fin. Jovi was relatively certain that Fin was buying her clothes. Why Dora just didn't cut her losses and settle down was beyond Jovi. She was a pureblood, one of the sacred 28, even with what her father had apparently done. There were plenty lesser purebloods that had enough money and could take care of her but she wasn't ready to settle down, Jovi was even certain Dora felt like she didn't deserve it but that was ridiculous. Hello! Sacred 28! Did she think that meant absolutely nothing?! At least she had Fin to fall back on. Her Gay, not gay, best friend or whatever then hell she liked to refer to him as.
Jovi made her way to the mirror, checking her face and hair before fixing her pyjama's before leaving her room. She knew very little about Fin but what she did know she rather liked. He was handsome, rich, sacred 28, single. What more was there to know? He had his own business, a night club, and it was one of the most popular places in the magical world. Or at least in London any how. It was a shame he was so much older, well, a few years, but she could wait. She didn't much like the idea of guys that dated girls still in school, it just screamed pervert and gave Jovi the creeps. A year apart maybe wasn't so bad but anything more than that was something that should probably get looked into by actual professionals, people like her dad made a lot of money out of people with issues and people wouldn't be running out of issues that needed fixing or complaining about any time soon.
Fin's house wasn't as large or as extravagant as she'd thought it would be. It was lovely she supposed and it was absolutely immaculate, but after having seen him at all those fancy soirees she thought he'd be the type to have a large mansion. Something with at least 75 rooms, this had what? Less than 35 probably. She supposed he was still single. Perhaps he'd have something larger whenever he settled down. If he ever settled down. He was the last of his line so it was his duty to produce some heirs but he was young, hot and completely loaded. There was no way a guy like that was going to settle while he didn't have to. Jovi figured if he was still single next year then maybe she'd try for a little fun with him, see if he was the type she might one day settle down with, but she wasn't holding her breath, there were plenty of guys around and every single one of them was the same.
Walking through the manor was rather lovely. Fin had decorated it - or had had it decorated - rather tastefully and the layout was simple enough to not get lost, or perhaps it was just because she was good with directions or because the place wasn't all that large. Either way the kitchen was downstairs and Jovi had neglected to take a glass of water to bed with her. A night out with Dora was all sorts of fun but Jovi wasn't prepared to face the consequences of little to no water overnight after quite a bit of drinking was going to require more than just potions to assist in rehydration and pain relief or really just plain pain avoidance. She'd never had a hangover before and she didn't fancy starting now.
Twirling her wand in her fingers she absentmindedly walked down the hallway quietly. She turned a corner to hear voices coming from the kitchen up ahead and she stopped, not wanting to interrupt. Well not while she was unaware for the conversation topic at hand. So tiptoeing silently along the hall Jovi listened in carefully to the conversation, words becoming clearer the closer she got but what were they saying? Jovi hovered a little near he doorway, waiting and listening, recognising both the voices, a sly little smirk across her lips wondering what her cousin Rodolphus and Fin would have to talk about in Fin's home at this unmagical hour. Perhaps, and she was holding out hope for this, but perhaps it was something dark and exciting. Jovi bit the bottom right side of her plump lip, holding it in place with her brilliantly white teeth, wand no longer being toyed with but resting gently in her hand, held pointed to the ground.

Night Whispers Winding down after a night like that was always hard. Fin loved it when he was paired up with Rodolphus Lestrange for something wicked on the Dark Lord's orders, and tonight had been no disappointment. The older Death Eater was fierce and unstoppable, not to mention a lot of fun. Fin had looked up to him for a while now in the Death Eater ranks, and though he wasn't into kissing the guy's arse, he had a good amount of respect for Rodolphus, and the man brought out the best in Fin when they were on the job, or so Fin liked to call it. It wasn't really a job so much as an order, and if it wasn't followed through efficiently heads would literally roll, but it was less terrifying when it had a casual spin put on it. It was also less terrifying when the job was done and drinks could be had to wind down. It was a big task though, trying to erase the huge amounts of adrenaline which pumped though Fin's veins. He was often greatly affected by the thrill of killing, and it made him go a little bit wild if he didn't have someone with him to keep him in line. Getting rid of that buzz took hours, usually, and it was hard for him to sleep on those nights. He and Roddy had cleaned themselves up after their delightful murdering spree, and headed out to a few bars to be seen by people, a lot of people who would help them to not be called into question for any murders that may or may not have happened that night. Everybody knew pureblood families were all suspect, but as long as you had a solid alibi, you were fine, the Aurors and Hit Wizards didn't have a leg to stand on. Being seen drinking and cavorting around pubs meant they'd have eye witnesses if needed to confirm their whereabouts, though honestly, Fin had never once been questioned or had anyone looking into him for signs of his involvement before. He'd had a few interrogations about deaths at his club, but that came hand in hand with drunks and druggies, and was never his fault in any way, shape or form. As far as the Ministry were concerned, anyway. So drinks had been had, adrenaline fueled, egotistical laughs had been had, and it was well after midnight by the time they'd found themselves at Fin's house. He'd make quick work of getting changed out of his ale swilled clothes and into some comfy pants and a hoodie, leaving himself barefoot as he padded into the kitchen to make food for himself and his friend. Burgers seemed like a good idea, and so he'd managed to make a whole plate full without burning down the kitchen, and had devoured three on large buns with all the trimmings, drinking water and feeling himself sober up as the time ticked on. The lads had laughed together some more, though Fin was aware that Dora was probably upstairs with her cousin, so keeping the noise down was likely a good idea. Fin leaned against the kitchen counter, glass of water in hand, glancing at the clock which told him it had gone three in the morning. It didn't feel that late to him. "Why did the Dark Lord send Hickson out with us tonight?" he piped up, wondering if Rodolphus had any insight into why a new recruit had been told to accompany them. "A test for him, or a test for us?" It was a test for somebody, that was for sure, but Fin wondered if it was more for them, to see how they handled having a weight tied around their ankles in needing to cover the tracks of someone wet behind the ears. They'd passed, he was certain of that, Hickson was safe at home, and not a trace of any of them left behind at the crime scene, but he did wonder what might have gone through Voldemort's head when he gave the orders. He sipped his drink, blue eyes fixed thoughtfully on the older man. _______________________ tag: Rodolphus Adalrich Lestrange and Jovian Isobel Corrine Rowle notes: Outfit. <3 template by izzy[googlefont="Allura"]

If I am an angel paint me with black wings
Come morning the muggle news papers would all be a twitter with the latest story, but only the wizarding papers would have any of the facts right. It would be curious to see how the muggles try explaining it all, or more accurately, how the Ministry goons manipulated the tiny minds of the muggle witnesses and police officers to feed them lies so that they could go on pretending magic was only for fairy tales while the wizarding community continued to hide out underground, shut away in the shadows. The Ministry was having one hell of a time catching up with them, though. Already there had been reports on the muggle news that ‘a fireworks accident’ left a strange symbol in the sky over Maesteg a fortnight ago and some surprisingly quick minded muggle had managed a picture which no one had been able to explain; an outline of a skull hanging in the clouds, a serpent slithering from its mouth. The picture has since been ‘lost’ and reporters seem to have forgotten about the incident, but the image was beamed into the living rooms of millions of muggles for one glorious night and even the Ministry of Magic couldn’t obliviate the entire population of Britain after that.
The trio had been sent to the home of a muggle politician in Leeds. Apparently, Edgar Clearwatter was the son of a witch and a muggle, granted none of the magical gifts his mother wasted by marrying into the muggle world. Harriet Clearwatter, the muggle politician’s long-dead mother, had not kept to the Ministry’s strict laws about wizarding secrecy, and Edgar was using his knowledge of both the muggle and wizarding worlds to conspire with the Ministry of Magic to create stricter laws which would further push wizards into the shadows. By eliminating one of the Ministry’s muggle allies, Lord Voldemort would be in a better position to draw power away from the corrupted politicians, rewriting the laws to the only standard that made sense; wizards first.
Clearwatter’s head had been pinned to his desk with a fire poker Rodolphus had pulled from the man’s fireplace. The sound of the muggle’s skull cracking under Rodolphus’ force was music to his ears. Blood and bits of flesh flew at Roddy’s face as he grinned, teeth clenched in concentration. His generally light eyes were dark as he watched the pointed metal pierce the man’s brain, causing his body to twitch, and then driving it further into the wood of the desk. Covered in blood, under Clearwatter’s now limp body, was the final drafts of a new bill that was going to be introduced to the House of Parliament the following week.
A few other political targets had been on their list for the night, and Rodolphus took pleasure in partaking in the deaths of each and everyone of them, muggle and wizard alike. The Dark Mark hung in the sky for nearly a collective hour before the Ministry’s Hit Wizards could get to them all, and by then Rodolphus, Fin, and Hickson had already cleaned themselves up and had been seen at several pubs drinking and having a riotous good time. It was easy enough to charm someone’s wristwatch back and ask them the time to confirm in their minds that they were meeting with the men earlier in the night than they actually were.
After leaving Hickson for the evening, the more seasoned Death Eaters returned to Finley’s home to discuss the evening and have a few laughs. While Fin changed into something not laden with the stench of booze, Rodolphus made himself at home in the younger man’s manor, helping himself to a drink. Fin was playing host to his girl friend who had fallen on hard times, Rodolphus had heard all of the gossip about the Parkinson’s fall from grace and he’d insinuated several times to Fin that all the girl really needed to get back on her feet was a good toss in the hay. Apparently, they weren’t that sort of friends, a concept lost on the older man, but still he respected the fact that the little witch was apparently sleeping, and he tried to keep the ruckus to a minimum. Violence always got him riled up and had he been on his own he might have popped off to see Dorcas to let out some of this excess energy, but burgers and beers with Fin would do for now.
“A test for everyone, no doubt.” Rodolphus took another swig of beer, having tolerance enough to not need to settle down with a glass of water like young Avery. “I’d say Nigel passed all right, good enough for the Dark Lord not to slaughter him, at least. He seemed a tad uneasy at first but, you know, once you’ve seen someone’s skull crushed in there really isn’t much point in hemming and hawing about on the next one.”

Jovi hovered next to the doorway. Now she was closer she could hear words of the conversation the two voices were engaged in and all manner of thoughts ran through her mind, sending her thoughts in all kinds of directions. Death eaters. There were people currently standing in this house that were death eaters and one of those people, or the voice she was hearing at least, belonged to Fin. She was familiar with his voice and the other was deeper and sounded incredibly like her cousin. She wasn't surprised that either of them would be death eaters, it all made some kind of sense really, but she hadn't expected to come across such a personal conversation in the middle of Fin's kitchen. Was this the sort of thing she could be killed for overhearing? Jovi didn't think so. She'd be brought up knowing the truth, that muggles were a disease that had to be taken care of, it just so happened there was only one man actually willing to form an army and go for it. Ministers of Magic these days were soft, they caved to the muggles and wouldn't fight for what the magical world so desperately needed - freedom. One man would. One man was standing up and holding the ministry accountable and that was the sort of man Jovi could see herself following. Hell, that was the sort of man she could see herself marrying. One with convictions, one with a vision, on of action.
Straightening herself up Jovi shook her hair behind her, a few strands resting over the front of her shoulder still. She held herself upright and just started walking, rounding the doorway and entering the kitchen to see her cousin, Rodolphus, and Fin. She didn't care that her sleepwear was exceedingly sheer nor that it was her cousin she was walking in front of. Neither man in the kitchen was going to do anything to her and she didn't much care that she'd over heard them talking about death eater matters. Perhaps they might attempt to scare her but there was no need for any of that, she'd only caught a snippet of what she assumed was a much longer conversation and she'd barely heard anything mentioned at all. Only Nigel Hickson, skull crushing, multiple deaths. Nothing incriminating at all.
"Evening." She smiled sweetly, carrying about her business. It was far from evening and more very early in the morning but Jovi carried on, flicking her wand as she headed to the sink. A glass flew out of the cupboard and joined her at the sink as she turned the tap on, running the cold and stopping it again. She took the glass that was floating beside her and filled it with cold water, leaning ever so slightly over the sink to give herself a nice curve for Fin to admire, if he wanted, perhaps he'd be a little shy having a free look while in Rodolphus' presence or perhaps he wouldn't care in the slightest and just stare freely. She wouldn't mind in the slightest. She hadn't expected him to be up, she'd figured he'd probably be in his bed by now but she hadn't taken into account that he was out on some kind of killing spree. Turning back around and taking a sip of her water she looked from Roddy and then to Fin deciding that Roddy definitely looked like the killing sort but Fin? Well somehow he just seemed even more attractive right now.

Night Whispers Fin let out a sharp laugh at the mention of Hickson being a bit uneasy at first. The man's face had been a right picture when he'd first entered the fray, and he'd hung back for a minute before joining in the fun. If he'd been a friend, Fin might have given him a rough shove into the middle of things to get him started, but as he was someone Fin didn't know at all before today, he wasn't bothered whether the guy joined in or not. If he'd lost his bottle and backed away, the Dark Lord would have likely killed him for being such a weakling, or at the very least given a severe punishment, and it was no skin off Fin's nose if the man landed himself in a cauldron full of hot shit, so he'd left him to it. As Roddy had said, though, Hickson had come around quickly enough, and the night had gone well. Fin was about to comment on how gormless and pale the guy had looked when he had killed for the first time, but the kitchen door opened softly and Jovi entered the room, Fin's head snapping around at break neck speed at the unexpected interruption. Fin's first thought should have been "shit, did she just hear what we were talking about!?" but all he could think was how completely transparent her outfit was. He watched her arse in the... thing - it really couldn't be called clothing, there wasn't enough of it there - and raised one brow as she leaned over the sink to get herself a glass of water. 'She's a student. She's a student.' Fin repeated over and over as he watched the fiery little beauty stand there completely unabashed at her choice in sleepwear. She was indeed still at school, and only seventeen until the summer. She was also Dora's cousin, and more importantly for the current situation, Roddy's cousin. He really shouldn't have stared like he did, but he didn't actually give a shit in that moment. She looked hot as fuck, and he couldn't deny it. He forced his eyes to snap to Roddy. She hadn't said anything other than "evening". Had she heard them? His eyes flashed at the older guy, clearly in question over the matter, but he said nothing. "Morning, Jovi," he greeted, focusing on her face instead of her boobs. "Couldn't be bothered putting on clothes today?" Fin smirked. It sounded like the complaint of a much older man, though he was definitely not complaining. _______________________ tag: Rodolphus Adalrich Lestrange and Jovian Isobel Corrine Rowle notes: Outfit. <3 template by izzy[googlefont="Allura"]

If I am an angel paint me with black wings
The door gently pressed open and Rodolphus’ eyes lifted from his bottle of beer, the cocky smirk he had worn only a moment before now replaced with a cold, stoic look of sheer annoyance. Who the fuck was Fin playing host to that was wandering about at this time of night? He knew the younger Death Eater disliked house elves and there was no need for a servant to be up yet; Rodolphus’ own servants didn’t start preparing breakfast for another hour or so and that was for an entire family, not just Fin and his petite live-in girlfriend. But it wasn’t the black haired waif that stepped through the door, nor was it a servant.
Fiery red hair, inappropriately dressed, and seemingly not a care in the world; his little cousin Jovian sauntered into the kitchen as if she owned the place. She didn’t let on right away whether she had been purposely spying on the men or whether this was a serious case of unfortunate timing. All she said was ‘evening’ despite it being anything but, and then proceeded to flaunt her tight, teen aged body around Fin’s home in a sheer little number that would have excited Rodolphus had it been worn by someone other than a blood relation. Fin, however, was not related to her and clearly had no qualms about gawking at Rodolphus’ cousin in front of Rodolphus. He was either very brave or very stupid, and Roddy figured it was more the latter.
“Running a half-way house for wayward girls, are we Fin?” Rod asked as his eyes tracked Jovi’s movements across the kitchen. What had she heard? What was she playing at? Rodolphus’ mind instantly flashed to the pair of wizards having to kill her to keep her silent, but this was his cousin he was thinking about and that relation deserved at least a moment’s hesitation, did it not? He knew, being family, that she was raised well enough to have the same beliefs as Rodolphus, at least when it came to magical purity, he couldn’t say for sure on any other political opinions, rarely having a need to chat with her outside of family or social gatherings. They were too far apart in age to be the friendly sort of cousins that hung out on weekends getting high and making mischief. Jovi was still of that age but Rodolphus had grown up. His highs were more sophisticated now and his mischief much more deadly.
So, if Jovi had heard their conversation, the issue would not be with whether or not she agreed with the cause, but with the execution of their beliefs. Would she run off and tell her father what the men were up to, would it make it to Magical Law Enforcement officers? He did not think so, but he couldn’t be certain. Fin’s expression looked similar to what Rodolphus felt, but he kept a cool demeanor as he addressed his cousin. “Whose bed have you been sleeping in, little Rowle? Have I kept your plaything too long or are you having a witches night in with,” he turned to look at Fin with a slight question in his expression, “what’s your girlfriend’s name again? Donna?” Rodolphus knew the important shit; the surname and the blood status. Given names were a dime a dozen and unless Rodolphus had a need to remember them for business or even pleasure, he generally didn’t care. With what was left of the Parkinson family so low on the proverbial totem pole of wizarding’s high society, there really wasn’t much necessity in remembering the daughter’s name.

"I know how you like to stare, Finley." She said with a sweet and gentle tone but smirking, tilting her head a little before looking over to Rodolphus, her expression changing at her cousin. She didn't know him well but she felt she knew him well enough, especially after what she'd heard him talking about with dear little Finny. They'd been out having fun, killing up a storm by the sounds of it, while she and Dora had been drinking. Jovi would have much preferred to have joined the guys. Not necessarily killing someone herself, she'd never taken a human life before, but it would certainly be something worth watching, possibly enjoying. She wasn't sure but taking a life was certainly some kind of thrill that she wanted to be in on one way or another. If she ever needed an in to that sort of lifestyle, these two men were certainly now it.
Roddy enquired as to whose bed she'd been sleeping in. Just for a little fun she glanced to Fin with a cheeky little smirk, never having set foot in his bedroom and never intending to while she was till at school. She wasn't after the type of older guy that would take a school girl to bed, she was after someone more mature than that and on the bright side Fin hadn't attempted to get her in to his bed, it was part of the reason she didn't mind flirting and teasing with him because it was just that. There were no expectations for her to follow him back to his room which was just as well because he would have been sorely disappointed had he any other thoughts. Perhaps if he was only a year out of Hogwarts she would have thought differently but he was the same age and year as Dora so that made him, what? Three years above her? She wasn't sure she'd never paid attention to him or Dora when she'd been at school, she'd been closer to Theon.
Looking back to Roddy she dropped the little smirk slightly as he asked Fin about Dora, not having bothered to learn her name. Clearly Rodolphus and Finley weren't really all that close, Jovi wondered if they were just killers together and nothing more. Fin had mentioned the Dark Lord which Jovi knew was this Voldemort fellow she'd heard so much about and it was so fun knowing that she was currently in the presence of two death eaters, that she was even related to one! She wondered if Rabastan was in it too, or uncle Adolph. Ceres was probably too drunk to actually be involved as a Death Eater so Jovi was fairly confident her dad's sister wasn't a part of the organisation, but did she know about Roddy? Oh this was just all so fun right now and the amusement showed on her face. "So it sounds like you had quite the evening." She took a casual sip of her water and set the glass down on the counter. "When are you gonna teach me to kill someone?" She asked, pouting a little at Roddy, looking a little hurt that he hadn't already offered to take her out killing muggles just for fun.

Night Whispers "It's Fin," he retorted, forcing himself to look at Jovi's face and not her boobs, which were just... there. Was there anywhere else to look? Seriously!? His own drink was finished in half a second and he began busying himself with tidying the kitchen where he'd been cooking. He wouldn't appreciate the mess in the morning and it gave him something to do other than stare at a student. In front of her cousin. What the hell, man? "She's Dora's guest," he answered Rodolphus, sounding a little shorter than he had intended thanks to now being completely on edge after being walked in on by a teenager in the middle of a conversation about killing people. Wiping down the kitchen counter, he focused on scrubbing it while he listened to Roddy quiz his young cousin. He wondered what Roddy thought of Jovi's attire. Probably didn't even notice, really, he seemed more interested in finding out whose bed the red head had been in, and Fin's blue eyes shifted to Jovian, who smirked at him. With a narrowed gaze, he ignored the conversation, heart thumping in his chest as Jovi uttered the words neither man had likely wanted to hear. "When are you gonna teach me to kill someone?" Really? Really, Jovian? Maybe when you're out of school and married with kids and then never. That was what he wanted to say, and probably all in a very tight voice that was filled with panic because he was definitely feeling the pinch of panic right then. He had no idea if Jovi was a blabbermouth or not, but if she didn't keep this to herself, there'd be trouble. For them and for her. Picking up the long knife he'd been using earlier for chopping onions, he crossed to the sink where Jovi stood, setting her drink down on the counter. Fin raised the knife a little, a gentle smile on his face as he locked eyes with her. "It's rude to eavesdrop, Jovian," he told her, knife only a few inches from her face. Holding her gaze for a moment or two, long enough to hopefully give her a little scare, or likely a thrill judging by her reaction to discovering two murderers, he eventually dropped the knife in the sink, casually turning on the tap and picking up a sponge to wash it with. She had asked Roddy when he would teach her to kill, not Fin, it was Rodolphus' problem to deal with if she decided to be a pain in the arse and pester about it. Washing the knife and the rest of the dishes, he tried to ignore how good Jovi smelled standing next to him, and focused on the possibility of having to kill her before the night was over. At least that thought wouldn't cause any embarrassing bumps in his pants. _______________________ tag: Rodolphus Adalrich Lestrange and Jovian Isobel Corrine Rowle notes: Outfit. <3 template by izzy[googlefont="Allura"]

If I am an angel paint me with black wings
For fuck’s sake, Jovian! Rodolphus had been having a spectacular evening or murder and mayhem, and now his little cousin, dressed as a harlot without a care in the world for the fact that her tits were on display in someone else’s kitchen, was ruining the natural high he was on. He was going to have to supplement the feeling if he wanted to keep it. The calm it would bring him would also assist him in not adding Jovi’s name to the list of dead tonight, particularly if she was going to be as brazen as she seemed to be about having overheard a conversation that most certainly was not for her ears. She was much too elated and cavalier about the whole thing, and Rodolphus watched with dark eyes as Fin spoke pointedly to her, a knife close to her skin.
Rodolphus pulled a silver cigarette case from his trouser pocket and flipped it open, watching the exchange between his mate and his cousin. Roddy pulled one of the special cigarettes from the case and snapped it closed loudly with one hand as his other hand placed the cigarette in his mouth. His eyes were fixed on Jovi as he drew his wand and lit the joint, evaluating their options and whether he would indeed need to murder his cousin tonight. He didn’t think so. He prayed he wasn’t wrong.
Smoke curled around his head as he exhaled before speaking, his voice low and his words chosen carefully. If he misspoke, if he misjudged the teenager’s intent, his days as Lord Voldemort’s personal hit wizard were done. His days breathing could, in fact, be through, depending on the outcome of this conversation. It wasn’t something he had expected of the evening, but the cards lay as they had fallen and he now had to clean up this mess the best he could. Having done the Dark Lord’s bidding for years, Rodolphus knew all too well that it was not just his life at stake in this moment, but that of his entire family. “At least be clever about it,” he added to Fin’s warning that she not eavesdrop. “I should think a sodding Hogwarts prefect would be smart enough to not so casually approach the subject of illegal activities, particularly with those whom she’s insinuating having been off murdering people in the dead of night.” He placed the join back in his mouth, allowing it to wobble on his lips as he added, “no pun intended.”

Fin was a little sensitive about his name and Jovi faked a little surprise, her eyebrows rising, her eyes widening and her jaw and lips shifting to create a little 'o' silently at him. Honestly, as he looked at her it was almost as though his neck was going to snap from not jolting his head down to look at her ample breasts. Jovian was more than comfortable flaunting herself around in front of Fin, he'd never taken advantage of her before and she doubted he would while she was still at school. In a few years the age gap wouldn't matter, it would seem tiny but for now, a graduate with his own business would simply be disgusting to be hitting on a school girl. Didn't mean he couldn't stare though. Jovi fully encouraged a little staring so that he knew exactly what he was missing out on and once she was graduated Jovi fully intended on finding her way into Fin's bedroom and having the time of her life between his sheets. For some reason Fin didn't have house elves. Jovi was certain he could afford at least one but it seemed they just weren't his sort of thing which meant when he made a mess in the middle of the night, he could either leave it for his maid or he could clean it himself. Tonight he was cleaning it himself.
Holding up a knife to her Jovi took on the look of a little fake outrage. Gasped a little Jovi placed her right hand flat over the bare part of her chest near to her heart, then she dragged her hand slowly to the lace of her chemise, fingers dragging over it lightly, tugging just a little before she dropped her hand and leant against the kitchen counter, "Honestly, Fin, feeling the need to threaten little me, what harm could I possibly do?" She asked sweetly, looking from Fin to Rodolphus, "And why would that be, cousin?" She asked, tilting her head, "Do you view me as some kind of threat?" She asked, smiling just a little. She was relatively sure Rodolphus wouldn't just throttle her. She shared his views, she was his family and she was Fin's guest. Well Dora's guest but in Fin's home with his permission so it would be beyond rude to just slaughter her in the kitchen, "I can't believe you're both being such a couple of old fuddy-duddies." She looked back to Fin. rodolphus was old, that was a given, but Fin was only a few years older than herself, she wouldn't have thought he'd be such an uptight arse. All she wanted to do was learn to kill a muggle or two, was that so bad?

Night Whispers The water ran warm across the back of Fin's hands as he rinsed the bubbles from his skin, turning the tap off and reaching for a tea towel to dry them. He didn't reply to Jovi's accusation of a threat. He hadn't threatened her, she had been in his way while he was on his way to wash a knife at the sink. That was what anyone would believe if she were to explain the situation, though he liked that she had felt that it was a threat, that meant she was somewhat wary of him, that in the few minutes since she had rudely listened in on their conversation, she had gained a new understanding of him and what he was capable of. That, or his brain was spewing a load of shite and he was still a bit drunk. Either was possible, and he was leaning against the counter for support as he dried his hands, listening to Roddy chastise his cousin. The leaning could also be a sign that he wasn't at his best right then. Jovi was being a little bitch, and Roddy wasn't being harsh enough, that much was clear. If it was Fin's cousin and she was speaking like that, he'd have her pinned up against a wall with his wand to her throat, threatening her with the Killing Curse if she dared utter a word to anyone, and seriously contemplating wiping her memory if he didn't think she'd comply. That was no slight on Roddy, the guy was dangerous and nobody to fuck with, but Fin was feeling edgy about being overheard by a school girl. The possibility of killing Jovi was going to be more and more appealing if she didn't shut her mouth and deal with what she'd heard in a more sensible manner. Fin would do it. He had no ties to her, he wasn't related, Dora would never find out it was him, so she couldn't hate him for it. There was no reason to hesitate other than the man standing across the room from them. If Roddy hadn't been there, this might have gone down a lot differently. "You don't know what you're talking about, Jovi," he said, folding his arms across his chest. "You're clearly overtired and delusional, you should get some sleep." And then he could possibly murder her in her sleep. That could also work. _______________________ tag: Rodolphus Adalrich Lestrange and Jovian Isobel Corrine Rowle notes: Outfit. <3 template by izzy[googlefont="Allura"]

If I am an angel paint me with black wings
Rodolphus was content with being considered a fuddy-duddy by his baby cousin. So he didn’t squeal with delight like a sodding school girl at the mention of anything and everything that ever interested him, and he wasn’t running about in a tiny nighty screaming about murdering muggles to anyone who would listen. He fancied himself a tad more discrete than that. If that made him a fuddy-duddy he’d proudly wear the title. And then, should Jovi ever mentioned it again, he’d probably snap and kill her. He was amped up from an evening of mayhem, drunk, though not as much as he had been an hour ago, and on his way to being stoned. If Jovi kept on, hardly anyone could really blame him for shutting her up in the most effective manner possible. No one, except Fin, would even know it was him, but Rodolphus rather hoped it wouldn’t come to that. She was family and one day, perhaps, she might even be considered useful, but that day was not today and she was pushing her luck by continually running that abnormally large mouth of hers.
“Yes, go play with your little girlfriend in her room and let the adults finish their conversation in peace.” He made a shooing motion with his hand, the joint pressed between his index and middle finger. With his free hand he lifted the beer bottle from the counter and took another swallow, wondering if Fin was also contemplating doing away with Jovi or if he was too distracted by the girl’s breasts to think properly. He couldn’t blame Fin, Jovi was more than putting herself out there. She flirted about as discretely as an acromantula flying on a broomstick.

Fin and Roddy were being exceptionally dull. For so called "men" that had spent the night terrorising and boasting of their evening to one another she'd expected a better reception, hoping they'd give her all the details she wanted on what they'd been up to. Death was quite a fascinating subject to Jovi, or at least how someone died was. She'd not got to witness a human dying in front of her before and never been the cause of it so it was rather upsetting that they wouldn't include her in their little chat, just let her be a fly on the wall, listening to them regale tales of ghastly things that should otherwise upset a young lady of her standing, however Jovi was not normal, not like everyone thought, she found fascination in the macabre. Fin, however, decided to play mind games with her, or at least attempted to. He was rather dim if he thought that sort of strategy would work on anyone, especially her and with the look she gave him she was sure he was now well aware of what a moron she thought he was for attempting such an appalling attempt to be rid of her, it only made her want to stick around more, however Rodolphus was a lot more intimidating than little Finley.
When her cousin told her to leave Jovian sighed heavily, frustrated with their drab attitudes. They were clearly too interested in having some one on one time with one another, reminiscing about their evening from all of ten seconds ago to bother sharing their tales with her. "Ew, gross, Rodolphus," she glared at her oldest cousin, crossing her arms loosely just below her cleavage so as not to spoil Fin's view, because obviously he wouldn't be able to resist staring, she couldn't blame him, he was an unrelated male and she was young and exceedingly attractive, fiery red hair, smooth pale skin, he'd be nuts not to stare, "She's my cousin," Of course Rodolphus went in for all that sort of malarky being married to a Black. Everyone knew they were in to the whole incest thing, keeping lines as pure as they could while purposefully ignoring the serious side effects of 'yeah, your kids are going to be deformed and mentally unstable'. It was a wonder Rodolphus' child had come out completely normal, though she hadn't had many interactions with the young Aurora so the girl might be mentally inapt one way or another. Why any self-respecting family would fornicate and reproduce with the Blacks - whatever, she didn't care, she wasn't going to be breeding with any of them nor anyone else in to that whole cousins marrying cousins dragondung. "But fine, enjoy your evening." She said, dropping her arms, and heading towards the kitchen doors, stopping just a little and turning slightly to look over her shoulder at Fin, "Goodnight, Fin." She smirked a little before turning her head away, allowing her hair to swish a little over her back before she left the kitchen and made her way quietly back up to the room she was staying in.
