Troubled Soul
The soft sounds of rain tapped at the bedroom window, tempting Ollie to stay in his warm bed and fall back into a comforting sleep. There was not much he needed to do today, so the thought was never tempting. The whole time he deliberated how his morning was going to go, he kept his eyes shut. He could feel himself lulling to sleep once again and was so tempted to drift but he did not want to stay in bed all day. When a groan of protest to himself, he pulled the covers off him. A sudden cool breeze rushed over his half naked body, causing the half vampire to leap out of his bed and scurry to the bathroom where he took a hot shower to start the day off.
Before too long, he reappeared cleaned and freshed, his long hair still dripping droplets of water as he padded his way back into his room to change. It did not take him too long to pull on a pair of jeans and a long sleeve tee, running his fingers through his still damp locks as he gave himself a quick inspection in the mirror. His feet stepped into his boots, leaning down to properly lace them up so that they would not come loose and cause him to fall on his face at any given moment today. He added the finishing touches by slipping on his rings; his favorite was his family signet ring, then he slid on a solid black band and the final touch was his mother’s wedding band that hung on a chain around his neck.
Once he was satisfied with how he looked, he pulled on his jacket and stuffed his beanie inside his coat pocket. His hair still a bit damp. He soon apparated to one of the wizarding hot spots, Diagon Alley. His feet carrying him in the direction of the leaky cauldron. He fingered he could get some lunch and plan out how his day would go. He still needed to find a job but his father wants him to focus on a career, and he had no clue what he wanted.
Soon enough he was pushing open the door of the pub, a few eyes drifting up to meet him, some even waving as Ollie was becoming a patron. He helped himself to a table by the fireplace, getting comfort when the waitress came for his order. “May I have the steak and kidney pie please, and witch brew, feeling just a bit thirsty.” He gave the witch a charming smile before she headed off to prep his food.

A trip to Eeylops was all she’d come for. Her owl was in need of some special treats. Of course that was not the only thing she was actually going to do in Diagon Alley this afternoon, you could never just go to one shop. Lunete found herself enjoying the weather. She loved a good down pouring of rain and she was about one of the only few when it was this cold. She was a little quirky she supposed, she enjoyed pretty much any weather from extreme cold to extreme heat. She loved to play in all of it, chasing her brothers around when she was younger. She could put up with anything as long as they included her in their fun and they often did although they always seemed to go easy on her.
Diagon Alley was busy enough. Everyone seemed to have some form of protection against the rain and Lunete joined them by using her wand to make a small little overhead barrier, much like an umbrella but with her wand. So much easier to put away and no drips! She really loved magic and while her dad wasn't magical, she loved bringing him to this side of life and letting him experience it all. He couldn't use magic himself be he was knowledgeable on it all, he'd learnt quite a lot of what his children had learnt only he'd never wielded a wand. He found it all fascinating! Her mum had too when she'd been alive, she'd only been gone a year and a half but it was strange remembering that she wasn't around. She still had moments where she felt like she was going to walk to a room and just find her mum sat there, curled up in an armchair, reading a book with her cup of tea on a coaster next to her, balanced precariously on the arm of the chair but she never dropped it.
Making her way into the back entrance of the Leaky Cauldron Lunete was feeling peckish. She loved coming here and remembered all the times she'd come with her parents. The magical menu was so different compared to what they had at home that it was always a special treat! Even as an adult she loved to relive those moments, coming here with her brothers and her dad. They were a close family. Lunete ordered some food up at the bar and a couple of drinks. She turned about and had a look at the tables available to her. "That one." She said, pointing to a familiar body sat at a table alone when the barman asked which table she'd be at. He scribbled the table number on the docket and passed her over her lemonade while she put her wizarding money down on the counter for him. When the exchange was done she headed over to Ollie's table, popping her glass on the table and immediately wrapping her arms around his shoulders, squeezing him and she beamed, ecstatic she wasn't here alone. She didn't even give it a thought that he might be with someone but she was sure Ollie wouldn't mind her joining him! She planted a kiss on his cheek and sat down next to him with a grin, "Hey love!" She couldn't believe her luck in finding Ollie at the Leaky. "How's your day going?"

Troubled Soul
It did not take long for Oliver to make himself at home at the familiar pub. The fireplace roaring, sending out comforting heat that allowed him to shrug off his jacket. He pushed up his sleeves to bunch up at his elbows, hanging his jacket on the back of his chair. This place held so many memories, coming here a lot with his friends from school and with his siblings over the years. His dark eyes looking around at the nearby tables, letting out a huff of a laugh when he realized that he has probably sat in all of this chairs at some point. Maybe he should just get a part time job here? He thought it over for a moment, sure that they would welcome him but not sure if they will be accepting of his habit of disappearing on a whim. What the hell was he going to do with himself. As he leaned back into his seat, he started to fidget with his rings while getting lost in deep thought. Did he have to sacrifice a part of himself in order to get a crappy job that he will probably hate. Oliver was fairly frugal so he did not need much to survive, but he did not like living in his brother’s house without paying rent. He was forced to snap out of his thoughts when a glass was placed down on his table, about to reach for it thinking that it was his but noticed it was not what he ordered. The moment a pair of arms trapped him in a hug, he caught the scent of someone he knew well. “Hello there lovely” His hands reaching up and gently patting the arms that held them. He waited until she sat down next to him before leaning over to press his lips against her cheek. “I’m as right as rain love, what about you?” He asked, angling his body so that he was facing his long time friend. “What as you doin out in this mess?” he asked, talking about all the rain that was hitting the town.

Lunete was so happy to see Ollie. It had been too long since she'd made the effort to see him. She'd only be thinking a couple of days ago that she needed to catch up again with Ollie. It wasn't ever guy you dated for half a year that you could still spend time with and have fun with them. Ollie was more than her ex, he was her friend and she saw him often enough. He wasn't employed but he was a free spirit, he was always a free spirit and she admired that. She caught up with him a little whenever she cam over to his place to study with Kit. It wasn't often but his older brother was a life save, and so was Ollie. When she went through her mothers death. Lunete had found it hard, she'd turned her whole life around. Rather than pursuing her love of Quidditch and becoming a professional Quidditch player, she threw herself into magical law enforcement, training hard to become an Auror. She had Kit to help her through and at the beginning of this years training the academy was taken over by Humbert. It was a smooth enough transition and things weren't any worse. Probably a bit better. All up she couldn't complain. The work load was heavier and there was learning on the job aspect to everything now but it was still so tricky. Thank Merlin for Kit helping her out and thank Morgana for Ollie giving her a break from her books.
"Good! I'm alright," She grinned. "I was just picking up some treats for Flitz. I ran out a few days ago and he's been a nightmare ever since." Dear little Flitz did rather like his treats and without any of an evening, he'd been pecking at the backs of Lunete's hand, "See," She said, holding her right hand out showing off the little marks there, bruises and in some areas the skin broken and a little scabbed over, "And he only likes the ones from Eeylops in the pink bag. Hopefully tonight there'll be no more pecking of he can bloody well forget about treats altogether." It was an empty threat, she loved Flitz and would still give the little sod his treats and just hope he'd lay off if she spoke sternly enough. "What are you up to, dining with a friend this fine afternoon?" He was sat here alone so perhaps someone was going to meet him later or perhaps in a bit but she'd made her order, she'd be done with her food before she was much of a nuisance and if he was on a date, or had a meeting with someone about something, then she would of course high-tail it out of there and find a cosy little table to herself some place and let her mind run wild with thoughts of work and training. It was just about all she could think about at the moment. Work was currently her life and there were a few little moments that took her mind away from it and quite a few of those little moments were because of Ollie.

Troubled Soul
It was always a good day whenever he saw the cute face that belonged to Lunete, watching while she helped herself to the seat at his table. She would hear no argument or hesitation from him, he was about to pull the chair out for her anyways.
"Good! I'm alright, I was just picking up some treats for Flitz. I ran out a few days ago and he's been a nightmare ever since. See," He arched a brow when he heard the name Flitz, her fluff ball of an owl. The creature never taking a liking to him. All animals were not fond of him, some how being able to sense the vampire blood in him. Not sure why Kit keeps that cat around, all it seems to do is hiss whenever they are near and try to attack them whenever they aren’t playing attention.
He turned his attention down at the hand she extended toward him, taking it into his own and inspecting it fully. He even brought it in close and even turned her hand so he could see her palm. ”That little bugger” he joked, placing a light kiss on the back of her hand before placing it back onto the table.
"And he only likes the ones from Eeylops in the pink bag. Hopefully tonight there'll be no more pecking of he can bloody well forget about treats altogether."
He could not stop the chuckle that escaped him, ”Did you tell him that?” he teased, shaking his head. That owl was spoiled, picturing in his head the scene now. Lunete putting her foot down and the creature squealing in protest. He would actually like to see that, just so that he could laugh and be able to tell the story.
"What are you up to, dining with a friend this fine afternoon?"
His lips turn upward into a sly smile when she asked if he was meeting with a friend, ”I am now, and you came just in time” He chuckled, looking her over. “You look like you have been training pretty hard, are those muscles I see under that jacket?” He teased, reaching over to give a light pinch on her bicep. “Not going too crazy are you?” he asked, concerned that she might be over doing. He had asked his brother to keep an eye out for her whenever they trained together and help with studies. He wasn’t book smart, or even active to know how to properly exercise, feeling helpless in a way that he could not help her.

Ollie was a sweetheart, he was quite possibly one of the kindest souls she'd ever come across and while they had gone their seperate ways, she still adored him. He would always be a special person in her life and one she'd always keep around, no matter how long it was between catching up with one another. She chuckled a little at his comment about her pesky little owl but she did love the little ball of fluffy feathers. He was energetic but Merlin he could get nippy when he didn't get his own way! He really was a princess and it wasn't because she'd raised him that way, it was most certainly his personality and she loved him for it. "I'll survive." She said, grinning rather happily, shaking her head, "I have! Probably a thousand times. He's far too stubborn and he knows I'll never follow through." She placed her hands in her lap and wiggled from side to side a little, cheekily rolling her eyes at her darling little owl. He could be fickle with just about everyone.
Lunete put her hands back on the table and hand a good sized sip of her lemonade, sipping it up through the straw, drawing the glass in closer to herself with her hands. She was so glad to be some company for Ollie for the afternoon and it was wonderful that she got him to herself! She wouldn't have minded scooting along to another table if he did have company, and if it was someone like Kit or a mutual friend then she wouldn't have minded sharing Ollie for a bit. She'd actually grown rather close with Kit and found him a great mentor and help for when she struggled. Training to become an Auror was hard. It was no easy task and not something that could be learnt overnight. It was physically and mentally exhausting but it was worth it, Lunete felt like it was the right path to take. Playfully, Lunete swatted Ollie's hand lightly, giggling at his comment about her muscles. "No!" She said, trying to straighten her face but she was just too cheery around him. She unzipped her jacket and shrugged it off, "See, no body-builder style muscles. I think it would take me a millennium to even remotely bulk up!" She wasn't the strongest. She was quite petite but she could handle herself well, especially with a wand! "Some day I'll be as fast and skilled as you and Kit." She laughed, she wouldn't be, they had quite an edge over everyone else but it was fun to play with Ollie!

Troubled Soul
He watched in silence as she went on about her pet owl, smirking when she spoke of him with nothing but love. The girl has such a big heart, it was endearing. When they were together, it was special. She showed him how to open up his half dead heart and see the world a little bit brighter. She even kept him from living in his mother’s memories for too long and almost had him to finally forgive, but things happened. He is a better person because of her, but he still carries the weight of his past and his secret.
Just then he caught the scent of sweet and savory, knowing that his food was coming to him from across the tavern. The waitress appearing from the corner of his eyes, placing the food down before him. “thanks,” he gave the witch a smile before she went back to check on Lunete’s food. His brown eyes looking at the beautiful pie before him. His ring clad hand reaching for his mug of Witches brew, taking a sip. “I think mine packs a bit more of a punch” he wagered, looking at her lemonade.
"No! See, no body-builder style muscles. I think it would take me a millennium to even remotely bulk up!"
He chuckled when she took off her jacket to show her guns, his hand reaching again to pinch at the taunt skin of her bicep. ”You have toned those muscles though” he added before his fingers attempted to tickle her skin near her elbow.
"Some day I'll be as fast and skilled as you and Kit."
He gave the best smile he could muster, hating that he hid the fact it would never happen. ”One day.” he took another sip of his drink, licking his lips as the foam gave him a mustache. ”What is new with you love?” he asked, knowing its been a while since they have caught up.
