Honestly, just how in the world was a pureblooded man raised to be so perfect? Clem enjoyed her husband's attentions immensely and being waited on by him was perfect. Admittedly she'd enjoy being waited on by just about anyone these days, but it was always so wonderful when Lucian put forth that little extra effort in their marriage. She knew they were still in their little honeymoon phase, as her mother called it, and it would no doubt last a little while longer, probably right up until she delivered their little bundle of joy and then it would change. Despite being pregnant she had found her libido was out of control but she couldn't imagine that would be the case after Lucian's little heir had arrived, still she hoped that when the honeymoon phase was eventually gone, that they would still see eye to eye on most things, and most importantly, would he tell her who his private orders were for? She certainly wanted to know but maybe she'd enquire while he was nestled on the sofa with her, rubbing his hand over her belly, get him all relaxed and hopefully more willing to share what sounded like private information!
Giving a list that sounded like she was reciting some kind of higgledy piggledy shopping list, Clem sat back and relaxed on the sofa, resisting the urge to get up and make her way to the kitchen to see if Lucian needed a hand with anything. She knew he wanted to take care of her and so she grabbed herself a book and had a read while he got things ready, although if she were honest she was looking at the door, waiting for him to come through about every second or third line, and if she were even more honest then she might have admitted to herself that perhaps the reason she wanted to help Lucian in the kitchen was more so that she could pick at things while he prepared them, but it didn't matter, she wasn't afraid to eat a platter of food in front of Lucian, although her mother would most certainly advised strongly against such behaviour.
Closing up her book as Lucian came in, Clem took a quiet breath in through her nose to see what she could smell on the platter before Lucian even gave her her plate. "You're incredible!" she told him as she watched him get her a plate ready. She tucked in to all sorts of food, relaxed and happy. "I have to pop out in a little while," She informed him between mouthfuls. "I've left a couple of things in my desk that I need to proof read before Aurelius starts talking about 'the Floop Network' or 'Pridditch' at his less-than-important meeting tomorrow." It wasn't exactly true. It was true that Clem had left such notes for Aurelius and his minor departments meeting tomorrow in her desk draw, but it had been done on purpose for an excuse to get back into her office and close enough to the offices that surrounded Aurelius' to see just what she could find on those that surrounded him. They had all been loyal to Sybil at one point, just how loyal would they be to the temporary Minister?

Breathe?! Rerally!? BREATHE!? Clem started fanning herself with her hands, trying to calm herself down but her rage was a little more overpowering than she had expected. Clem wasn't ready to calm, she wasn't the type to get over her anger quickly because she wanted things her way, right away. This was not her way! There was no fixing it right away! Evie could try all she wanted but Clem knew there was no calming her until her rage fizzled out. Boobs be damned, Clem didn't care what the problem was she just cared that it got fixed. "FIX IIIIIIIT." She whined angrily, stamping her feet and scrunching her face, a true embodiment of a spoilt brat having a tantrum over not getting what it was that she wanted, and a demon bride from hell - also not getting what it was that she wanted.
Clem turned her back to everyone and made her way to her dressing room, trying to go carefully so as not to tear her dress. She did not need that kind of drama. "I can't believe you, Evie. How could you have gotten so careless and fat?" She scolded, her tone harsh and unforgiving. "Everything needs to be perfect well in advance. Do you know what those Burke bitches will be like? Do you!? Because I can practically hear their shrill, loathsome little voices now, sniggering away like the bitches they are - WHY WON'T THIS COME OFF!?" She screamed at the end of her sentence, all in one breath, the back of her dress caught up somehow, preventing her from disrobing completely. Today was a nightmare. She'd hoped for some good, quality bonding with her sister and instead she got this. A nightmare. Worse than a nightmare. If this wedding wasn't perfect, and it was looking as though they couldn't get anything perfect right now, then she may as well kill herself because she would be the laughing stock of the wizarding world, Lucian wouldn't want to marry her, her no-longer future sisters-in-law would be howling away like the bitches they were and her parents would be ashamed of her. Everything needed to be exact and precise well in advance and right now, that wasn't happening.

Life had always been fast paced for Clem. She worked hard and she had her other duties too. Duties to her family to be the perfect daughter, duties to the Dark Lord to be the perfect follower and duties to Lucian as his fiancée and then his wife once they were married, now added on top of all that Clem was pregnant, almost half way pregnant too. She still carried on as she had been before her pregnancy, if anything it was a little easier because she wasn't having to plan for a wedding - that had been stressful. Comparatively preparing for a child was a lot simpler than planning a wedding. This was the first grandchild expected on both sides of the family and both sides were preparing well in advance. While Clem was looking forward to becoming a mother and hopefully giving her husband an heir right away, she was missing a few things from life. She found that with her days so full of work and errands that she wasn't as full of energy as she had once been. Carrying around a life was actually harder than she'd thought it would be.
Coming home late after a busy work day Clem looked forward to a long soak in the tub and spending a bit of time with Lucian. He was actually a rather fantastic husband. He was sweet, thoughtful, and supportive. Clementine had really lucked out with such a considerate human being. In their way of life you really didn't have to be married unless you were in public. Clem was lucky to have grown up with her parents having been in love and she knew Lucian's parents had been in love when they'd got married too. She hoped that someday she might love Lucian and he her but it wasn't a necessity to making a marriage work. Marriage was a choice, it was an agreement and you didn't need to be in love to make a choice work.
Arriving home Clem made her way to the bedroom. Lucian wasn't there. Before her bath she intended to have something to eat. She'd missed dinner having run a couple of errands for Sybil instead. She sorely wanted that witch nocked down a peg or two. But before she could eat she needed to dresses herself in something a little less work-y so she changed out of her work wear, putting it in the basket of her walk in closet where she preferred to change for various reasons, and put on something a little more relaxing.
After getting changed Clem headed out of her closet but as she stepped out she saw her husband leaning against the door jamb looking as handsome as ever and potentially a little frisky. Oh, that could have been her. Well he was definitely handsome and Clem wasn't sure if it was just married life, pregnancy hormones, or a combination of the two, but she found her sex drive was certainly wilder than it had been before they were married. Of course that would have to be on hold, she needed to eat. Skipping snack time made the day difficult to get through, skipping a whole meal was putting her on the edge of collapse! "Lucian!" She shut the wardrobe door behind her, surprised at her husband's presence but more than happy to see him. Husband. That still took a little getting used to. "I didn't realise you were home." She smiled, crossing the distance to the doorway where he stood. "I'm just on my way to the kitchen for something to eat." she tip toed up to give him a kiss, the curve of her bump brushing up against him. That little life growing inside of her was still not something she was entirely used to, even though she had her child with her day and night she wasn't used to being so big.

Only time would tell if things would work out between the two of them. Whatever happened they would be married, man and wife, and they would see to it that they had a child, it was the right thing for them to be doing but would they get on? Would this new but forced friendship develop into more? Clem wasn't sure. She'd never had the time to love before what with her duties keeping her busy. Planning a wedding and working high up in the ministry was time consuming. Add to that being a Death Eater and it was clear to see why Clem rarely had time for anything. She put in all her effort for social gatherings to appear the part of pureblood elite and she had her occasional dates with Lucian to get to know him better. Life was hectic but a part of her thrived on it, though when the stress became too much she was prone to her little outbursts, nothing that Lucian was yet to see, thankfully. There was plenty to keep hidden from him, the fact she was a Death Eater was probably the largest factor. He could wait until they were married before he found out that she was one of the Dark Lord's followers. As far as she was aware he was not a follower blessed with a mark but the he could have been, after all not everyone knew who everyone else was within the masked circle.
They chatted for a while and drank a little. Slowly Clem found herself moving closer and closer to Lucian, enjoying his company and feeling more than at ease with her fiancé. He seemed like a good man, funny at times too, and he was certainly attractive, that was for sure. Leaning into Lucian Clem placed her lips against his tenderly. Since they'd been officially engaged he'd been the only man she'd slept with, kissed even, and in a way it worked out well, she didn't have time to actively look for someone to fall in love with, it was too exhausting so having a guy on hand was kind of convenient, and soon they'd want an heir to the Burke name and fortune so it was going to be a busy couple of years trying for a son, something she was not at all disappointed about.

Clem threw her head back with a hollow but loud "Ha!" Her hands came up and rested on her hips as she moved her head forwards and turned it slightly to look at her younger, and delusional, sister. "Forgive me sister but I think you've been drinking too much Babbling Beverage because you're spouting absolute nonsense." Clem took one more look over herself, a playful grin set on her face as she waved her hand, summoning someone to come and get her out of her wedding dress before one of the incompetent morons ruined it indefinitely. The less they could mangle it, the better. It needed to be tucked away, locked up safe and sound so that she'd know it was safe. Everything had to be perfect. The closer they go to the wedding the more crucial it was that everything was exactly as it should be. There was no room for error. Clem had a highly demanding job in which she rarely had time off. She worked long weeks and she also had her duties as a Death Eater. Fitting a wedding into all this was just chaos, but so long as everything went smoothly, it could be done, and it could be done to absolute perfecti-
Clementine's face dropped as her head whipped around to look at her sister as the assistant tried. Clem stepped forward in her loosened dress, not even bothering to head towards the changing room where she needed to take it off. The lace sleeves slipped over her shoulders and she stepped on the front of the gown. She growled a little in the back of her throat, barely audible as her fat sister failed to get zipped up and asked if they could fix it with but a few simple swishes of a wand. Clem froze, hoping that yes, they could fix it. Her eyes were wide in anticipation even though she already knew the answer. When the answer that Clem most certainly did not wish to hear came, she felt her hands ball into fists and her face scrunched up as she let forth an almighty scream. When her scream was done she turned to the nearest dresses on the walls and tore them from their places, screaming more as she did, letting out her frustrations before turning back around and facing the stupid little witch that wasn't worthy to be in her presence right now. "FIX IT!" She hollered, beyond furious that this was happening. Evie was going on a food strike whether she liked it or not. The fat cow was seriously pushing her luck right now.

The moment came. The dress was on. Clem stood looking at herself in the mirror for a moment, taking herself in as she imagined what she would look like with her hair done up and the veil on. She was radiant and she knew it. There were few occasions in life where you had to look your absolute best, but your very own wedding day had to be the stand out, single, most significant look of your lifetime and Clem felt that this look was absolutely perfect for her. On the day she'd be even more perfect but for a dress fitting this was about as perfect as one could get. She was excited to be sharing the moment with Evie. The veil was fitted and Evie circled the dress, reaching out and touching at the veil with the lightest of fingers, barely disturbing the delicate fabric. Both Lucian's mother and her own mother had wanted to be here. Her other bridesmaids too, but this was a moment she wanted to share only with her maid of honour. Evie was her best friend as well as her sister. They had secrets that they shared only with one another and while her wedding dress wasn't a huge secret, she wanted everyone to be awed by her reveal. The day was creeping closer and closer and it was becoming harder and harder not to divulge details, no matter how little.
"They're damn lucky I look so remarkable and that there's not a thing wrong with the gown." Of course if it didn't fit it would have been her own fault, through gaining or losing weight, it wouldn't have been the shops fault or the seamstress' but Clem wouldn't have cared, she would have lost her mind at somebody and blamed someone else entirely. Another reason why she'd only wanted Evie around. Her sister had seen a meltdown or two before, with her mother in law to be around, and even her own mother, she'd have to be on her very best behaviour, something she didn't much feel like being at such a crucial stage of wedding preparedness. "All right, your turn, get into your dress so I can laugh at how much weight you've gained in order to make me look skinnier by comparison." She said, a small smile tweaking the corners of her lips, her hands rested on her hips as she turned to look at herself in one of the many mirrors. The dress really was spectacular and, if Evie knew one thing above all else, it was that Clem was indeed joking about her gaining weight. If her dress didn't fit then it would most certainly be meltdown central.

Bullying? Every woman in society was bullying every woman in society into watching their weight. Nothing needed to be said because it was just expected that one would know that others were judging her on her weight and that if she gained even half a pound she'd be swooped on by mothers, aunts, grandmas, sisters and mother in laws to be! Clem was not going to let that happen to her, she was careful enough with what she ate, she wasn't going to do anything differently besides lose a couple of pounds in the coming month. If you gained even the slightest you were accused of letting yourself go, if you lost too much you were accused of starving yourself and trying to hard, and that was entirely unacceptable too, but a couple of pounds? Well that was seen as a little effort and acceptable. People would say she 'looked good' all because she'd lost the equivalent weight to a couple of bags of flour. It was ridiculous but a game Clem was expected to play all the same. "Oh Morgana, no." She reached out a hand to Lucian's arm and rubbed him a couple of times gently, hoping to reassure him that he had absolutely nothing to worry about with regards to his mother. It was really rather sweet in a way, most men, Clem thought, would just skip over that entirely, not even think about why their fiancée was eating rabbit food at lunch, they'd probably just assume that was what all women ate. Well not this one and certainly not Evie either! "I wouldn't dream of it. Besides, your mum has been absolutely delightful, I've enjoyed spending time with her this afternoon." She smiled. It was a little white lie. Kind of. "Enjoyed" might have been too strong of a term to have used but it wasn't as if it had been unbearable!
Clem's hand fell back to her side when she offered him food and he waved said offer away. She was relatively sure he was joking about her in the kitchen when they were married and she chuckled playfully, scrunching her face in an amused and silly sort of way. She walked fully into her kitchen and pulled out a couple of dips and some water crackers from the cupboard. She began to plate them up with some grapes and strawberries and hoped it would be enough for Lucian. "Help yourself to a drink." She offered, hopping he'd feel at home enough to actually help himself and get to know his way around her little kitchen. She wasn't going to have it much longer, really. They were going to have their own place soon enough and that would be their marital home. Clem was partially looking forward to it but at the same time she knew she'd mourn the loos of a space that was all hers and no one else's. Still she supposed she could have a little area somewhere, a little office of her own to work from, because if Lucian thought she was going to give up work once they were married then he really didn't know her all that well. That was definitely something they needed to work on together. Getting to know one another was a necessity in Clem's eyes but when they tried they ended up between the sheets, which was fine by her, you could tell a lot about a man by the way he made love to a woman, but it wasn't getting to know the important things ... at least it was fun and she'd never say no to a roll between the sheets with her fiancé, it was all in good fun!

The idea of an evening with Lucian was actually quite charming in many aspects, even tonight his company was well received for Clem knew she only had a short time to get to know her fiancé before he would become her husband, and she'd rather get to know as much about him as possible while she wasn't tied down to him. Who knew, perhaps she'd unEarth some insane notion that he was actually secretly some muggle loving fool and it would be enough to call off the wedding and perhaps give her a second chance to find someone she actually loved to settle down with. It was probably quite unlikely. Lucian seemed pretty normal and anti-muggle and she could have married worse. She'd do her duty and become his wife, she'd give him children - hopefully a couple of heirs right off the wand. Her position at the Ministry would not be in danger, she would work all through her pregnancy and once her child was born it would be raised by just about everyone else. She would of course have a continuous presence in her child's life, her parents had been constant in hers, but she had more to do than just be around from time to time. Clem could remember her parents being actively involved in her upbringing but there was no way Clem would give up her career for her children, perhaps if she loved Lucian she'd find a way, but there was no love. She liked him but love was too far to stretch and was possibly never going to happen.
"Aww," She cooed with a coy little smile, it was sweet that Lucian had been thinking of her but a meal out was entirely not necessary. She and Evie had absolutely gorged themselves when they'd gotten back to the flat and Clem knew she wasn't going to be able a decent meal for the next week or her dress would need expanding and Lucian's oh-so-lovely sisters would never let her live down how horrendously huge she was. Of course Livia wasn't so much the issue, it was the other two that seemed to think they were better than everyone else. Well Clem was comfortable enough with who she was to not let them bother her. She'd carry on being Clem because clearly she was a fantastic match for Lucian, all four parents must have thought so for the arranged marriage to go ahead. "That's so sweet of you, Lucian." He was clearly very thoughtful and not in the slightest bit pushy. She was glad she wasn't marrying the type of man that would demand she get dressed up to go out for the evening when she was clearly ready for a night on the couch with a good book. "After rabbit food for lunch Evie and I kind of had our fill when we got back here, but if you want something to eat I'd be happy to make you something, or we could order something in, what do you fancy?" Because if he was planning on asking her out for dinner then he hadn't yet eaten and she wasn't just going to let him starve. She thought of summoning the family house elf to come make something for Lucian but she was rather capable in the kitchen and thought it rather more personal for her to make him something than to have something else made in her home for him by something else.

The day had arrived and Clementine Nott was not as nervous as she had anticipated. She and Lucian had not known one another all that well before their arranged marriage but over the course of their engagement they’d become closer and Clementine had decided that he was certainly someone that would make a wonderful husband. She also knew that could have just been a show but Lucian seemed far too genuine to be deceitful, Clem believed he was honestly a good person and once they were married he would continue to be. If not then she was fine with killing him if he ever did anything she truly disapproved of. There was a lot she believed she could tolerate in an arrange marriage but violence towards her was something she would not allow. She may have seemed like a charming and sweet wife to be for Lucian but she was a cold blooded killer when she wanted to be. She’d taken more lives than she could remember and she’d done so with ease. But she wouldn't need to take Lucian's, she was certain of it for now. He'd be a good enough husband and in return she'd be a good enough wife. Tit for tat. That was how these marriages worked.
In the back room of the church Clem was being fussed over by her bridesmaids, straightening out her gown as she stood there being taken care of. Her mum fussed around with her hair a little while her sister shooed everyone out the way as she floated the veil on over. Very delicately Clem's mum too the veil and slid the piece into Clem's hair, skilfully arranging it so the slide wasn't visible. Altogether Clem was absolutely flawless, at least that was the gist she got from the mountain of compliments she got from her bridesmaids and mother. Everything was as it should have been. The last couple of days had been full of tantrums with perfection being at the centre of every single one of them but the day was here and everything was falling in to place as it should. Clem had faith that her brother was doing well as an usher, welcoming their guests on behalf of the family while her father waited outside of the chamber door. This was the day he was giving away his eldest daughter. A match potentially made in heaven if Lucian was who he seemed to be, Clem thought and just so long as it outshone her very soon to be sister in laws wedding coming up sometime in the Winter, then Clem would be even more pleased at the end of the year.
Laughing and giggling occurred as talk of the wedding night started, Clem allowed herself to fall in to the conversation rather than worry about what was happening beyond the chamber doors. She saw no sense in worrying right now and was certain that all was going to plan. Everyone involved in the wedding was under rather strict instructions on what to do and when to do it. Behaviour guidelines were set down by Clem and if her future sister in laws were even the slightest bit a pain in the arse then Clem knew Evie would have her back and hex the three little bitches. This was her day, her's and Lucian's and she wouldn't have three little tarts take anything away from her. Clem was just pleased she had the sense not to ask them to be a part of her bridal party, she had plenty of friends to fill the spots and a couple of cute little flower girls. The ring bearer was a sweetheart, six years old, blonde hair and blue eyed. He'd steal the show if it wasn't for her radiant self and of course her handsome bridegroom. A little flutter stirred in Clem's stomach at the thought of Lucian stood waiting for her at the end of the aisle. It was going to be a fantastic day had by all provided no one pissed her off!
A knock came from the door and Clem took a deep breath as her fathers voice sounded out. They were ready. It was time. The ladies all helped Clem out of the room, her mum giving her a teary peck on the cheek before heading off to find her seat at the front of the church. Evie grabbed the wedding bouquet for Clem as well as her own flowers. They all got in to place and the music started, the flower girls heading down the aisle first, scattering a combination of rose and peony petals that matched the ones from Clem's bouquet. The little ring bearer made his way down the aisle, a cooing of 'aww' could be heard over the gentle harp music that played. Evie checked Clem over and handed her the bouquet as the first of the bridesmaids started down the aisle of the church. One by one with their miniature versions of her bouquet they all looked splendid and Evie was the last to go. So far absolutely everything seemed perfect. Evie was next and then took her place near the alter where Clem knew her fiancé was waiting for her. With a deep breath she took her father's arm as he whispered to her and he too gave her a peck on the cheek. It was finally time.
The wedding march began to play and everyone that was seated stood and turned to catch a glimpse of the bride before the official walk down the aisle began. Clem began walking in sync with her father. The front of her veil was pulled down over her face while the rest gently rested against her dress and was pulled along on the floor behind. At the end of each pew little miniature bouquets that matched her main bouquet were all in perfect order. Clem kept her focus forward, eyes fixed on Lucian as her father accompanied her down the aisle to give her away but she took in every little detail she could along the way. She took note of the more remarkable people among the crowd, the ones she could see at least and she made sure to carry herself correctly, she did not want to start her marriage off to Lucian by embarrassing him, or herself for that matter, on their wedding day. Once she reached the alter the music from the harp and the organ died down and her father kissed her cheek once more through the veil. She stepped up to meet Lucian while her father took his seat next to her mother. This was finally it.

Clem felt rather smug and cheery knowing that her sister would do just about anything to those pompous and stuck up Burke sisters if they stepped even a toe out of line. They were such a snide lot and far too privileged. Thankfully Lucian didn't seem anything like them, he was really quite grounded and somewhat of a normal human being from her experiences with him. She supposed time would tell but for now she felt rather fortunate to have landed a real gentleman like Lucian. Sure there were plenty of other Grindylow in the lakes, so to speak, but none seemed as genuine as Lucian, at least from the experiences she'd had with the gentlemen of the pureblood world at least. There were some rather charming gents but on the whole they were superficial at best. Lucian wasn't like that, he didn't seem to be hiding anything, unlike her who happened to be a Death Eater, but she'd reveal that after they were married. She was sure Lucian's views would coincide with that but a wife as a Death Eater? It might be a little emasculating for some so she figured it was best to hold off on telling him such news until after the 'I do's.
There were plenty of women out there for Lucius and someone that wasn't a dumb blonde like that Narcissa cow either would be a fine start in finding dear Lucius a suitable wife. Someone that was actually an intellectual with a decent, well adjusted head on her shoulders. What Lucius saw in some vapid bimbo like Narcissa, Clementine would never know. She was as flat as a flying carpet with the personality to match. The Black's were all rather two dimensional, Clem thought, and it was a waste of handsome purebloods that they'd married. Apart from that middle one. That filthy blood traitor could rot in hell for her muggle loving ways. No, she was worse than the other two but only just. Bellatrix, somehow, had a marriage arranged to the wealthiest wizard in the wizarding world. It was apparent from the outside looking in that there wasn't any love there but the fact that she had him was all rather appalling. Rodolphus certainly deserved someone less ... mental. As a woman she was crazy, as a Death Eater Bellatrix was just downright obsessive and deranged. Evangeline Lestrange seemed to have a nice ring to it, Clem thought. Her sister would make a far better wife for Rodolphus than that ridiculous excuse for a sane human being. It was witches like Bellatrix Lestrange that really gave the Death Eaters a bad reputation, she honestly took things too far. Not that it mattered too much, she was getting married soon and her dress was presented before them as they entered the room. There was no point in thinking about the worthless Blacks when there were far more pressing, and beautiful, matters at hand.
A small smile crept over Clem's lips as she looked in awe at her wedding dress. It was rather stunning and it would look even better on her than it did the mannequin. Slowly the mannequin started to rotate, floating ever so slightly off the ground giving them a full 360 view. The train of the dress was magically suspended so as not to drag on the floor and the veil too was lifted away from the dress. So far was so good. Clem thrust her glass of water towards the help and moved in closer to inspect her wedding dress. She would be stunning, entirely dazzling. Eyes would e fixated upon her and while she'd not really cared too much about the wedding, she did find she was getting more and more excited as she took in the wonder of her dress. "Okay, time to make this dress even more spectacular by putting it on me!" She smiled arrogantly, the seamstress waving her wand and the dress flying off of the mannequin as Clem readied herself to try on her spectacular wedding gown.

Time was closing in and their wedding would be upon them before they knew it. Clementine didn't really mind Lucian's family all too much, they were about the same as anyone else's really, although his two older sisters were rather snobbish but the youngest seemed okay enough. Clem was more than aware that the stance she and her sister took in the wizarding world separated them from amongst their own, they were seen as a little weird by many but with their ministry jobs and being female, they were needed to be kind to just about everyone they met and she just hoped Lucian wouldn't hold it against her. At least after they were married she'd be able to share her little secrets with him and hopefully, she thought, he wouldn't be too intimidated by her. There weren't many female Death Eaters in the ranks, a lot of women just didn't have the stomach to do what needed to be done, but Clem and her sister were not like that, sure they seemed welcoming and cheery on the outside, but if you knew the real Nott sisters, they were really rather ruthless and a little twisted if she was being completely honest!
"Not at all," She smiled, they still had that little awkward 'I don't really know you all that well so I'm going to put on a super lovely act' kind of vibe going on, Clem always had some kind of act on but she found she was gradually lowering it was Lucian, a little at a time, and this evening, as much of a surprise as it was to see Lucian, she was pleased he had visited, even if it was unannounced and she was in her relaxing gear, ready to settle down for the night. "That's so sweet of you, Lucian." She smiled, stepping next to him and reaching her arm up towards him. As he leant down a little for her she slipped her arm over the tops of his shoulders and kissed his cheek. Letting him go she took the chocolates with a smile and took hold of his hand, leading him off towards the kitchen, "Can I get you anything?" She asked, looking back over her shoulder, "Tea, water ... half a bottle of gin." She jested with a cheeky grin before turning the corner with Lucian into her little kitchen space. It wasn't a large or extravagant flat but it was her own little space and it was comfortable for her. She spent a lot of her time working or planning a wedding these days so it wasn't as if she was in need of anything any larger than this for the time being and soon she and Lucian would have their own place.

They seemed like terrible people, they didn't even bother trying to play the game a little. They were elite and they liked for everyone to know it too. Clem and Evie were different, they had somehow found that life worked better when you got along with everyone - or at least most people. Clem never pretended to get along with absolutely everyone, there were of course a few people she disliked and that disliked her and that was fine, however life ran smoother when you weren't an openly judgemental cow like a certain blonde Burke sister. Or a couple of them really. At least one was a little more tolerable than the rest but Clem couldn't ver well ask only one sister to be in her bridal party. It was all or none and with two of the three being too much to handle, Clem opted to keep them all out of the wedding party and Lucian or his mother hadn't said anything on that matter, or at least not yet or not to her face any how. There was no telling what Lucian or his mother were like in private but Clem had high hopes that Lucian wasn't anything like his sisters, he was of course a business man and traded with people from all walks of life, or so she presumed. "Do me a favour and make sure you enlarge their dresses a little when they get up to dance at the reception, or even before their pictures." She smirked, the idea of the cows actually looking like cows was entertaining.
Clem laughed, perhaps it was rather cruel to do so but the issues between the Malfoy's were rather laughable right now. It kind of made Clem glad she hadn't settled down for love, the couple seemed to be having all sorts of troubles with conceiving, let alone actually conceiving and heir to the vast Malfoy fortune! "Perhaps Lucius will be looking for a new wife soon," She smirked, looking at Evie from the corner of her eye, "Perhaps we could suggest a new Mrs Malfoy, someone tolerable to take his interests." She suggested, "Lucius is a hell of a lot better looking than that last grotesque oaf you were promised to, Grenville or whatever his name was, so finding someone wouldn't be a difficult task at all." Clem had no idea what Evie's fiancé had been called because she'd never bothered getting to know him. He was truly disgusting to her and she'd known he wasn't going to be around long enough for Evie to actually go through with marrying him so what was the point? "I'll say. If the dress isn't absolutely perfect or in need of taking in a little because I've lost weight, then the shop might just get burnt to the ground." She muttered to Evie, just as the mousey brown haired assistant came back with their waters, "Thank you." Clem smiled, her tone entirely changed from when she'd been talking in a hushed voice to Evie, "Any chance of trying on my dress?" She asked sweetly, smiling then taking a sip of her water, ready to throw the drink and the entire glass in the girls face if she said or did absolutely anything displeasing.

The bar was hopping, everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves and having the time of their lives. The atmosphere of Charmed always had a way of keeping everyone upbeat and friendly enough, perhaps bordering on a little too friendly at times. Of course the place wasn't perfect by any means, no place was. There were fights that broke out, men on men, women on women and sometimes women on men or women on men but it all seemed to be swept under the rug rather professionally. There were quite a few trendy places in Whimsic Alley but Charmed was by far the best and usually attracted all the right sorts. It was definitely a favourite of Clem's and after a couple of drinks she'd be up on the dance floor, shaking her arse a little and getting in to the rhythm of the music. It didn't matter that she was here alone, she'd blend in as part of the crowd easy enough, just another body amongst the masses with absolutely nothing special about her, just what she was after from her late night out.
People started filling in to the nightclub and Clem got her order in quickly. A couple of drinks and over to a free table before they all filled up, of course once they were all full tables would become empty once more. People would get up to dance, freeing up the tables so others could sit, drink and then leave to dance once more. It was a good cycle, everything in the nightclub flowed well and life here was just simple. There was nothing to worry about apart from having a good time and the nightclub certainly knew how to have one hell of a good time, encouraging its patrons to enjoy the night as much as they could and Clem intended to do just that, just as soon as she was finished with the drinks she was now sat down, drinking, completely oblivious to anyone possibly recognising her right now.

Clementine couldn't help but grin. She was quite looking forward to having all eyes on her when she walked down the aisle. Anyone that was anyone in the wizarding world would be at her wedding and she wanted them all gazing in wonder at her and her dress. Her sister would be beautiful too, there was no way her sister would be anything but stunning but everyone had to be fixated on the bride. Clem wasn't usually the sort to be all 'me, me, me' when it came to attention but it would be fun for a whole day to enjoy the gazes of wonder and amazement. Clem thought of herself as more than attractive, she knew she was good looking, it ran in the family, but she also knew there were women in the world that were that slight bit more attractive than herself and she had to make sure she'd outshine every single one of them on her wedding day. The Burke sisters, she thought, might try and upstage her. Livia seemed the most reasonable of the three but the older tow, Lilith and Lyra were rather unpredictable. Clem was regretting not asking them to be bridesmaids, it was something she should have done in order to control what they were wearing on her big day.
"Ugh, please don't gain any weight. I will have to kill you. We can't go giving those Burke sisters anything to snigger about." She said with a roll of her eyes, "And I'm willing to bet if Narcissa Malfoy is feeling better she'll be one hell of a judgmental cow too." She said, lumping yet another blonde in with the sisters three. Blondes always thought they were better than everyone else and with the money those families had behind them, they could afford to think in such a way. "A water for me too, please." She said with a charming little smile, giving Clem a sweet and innocent look over her features. She was going to start her dress fitting off on the right foot and she was going to be calm about it all for as long as she could be, but there would undoubtedly be some kind of screw up and she was going to have to just trash half the shop in order to get her point across. It wasn't that Clem wanted to trash the shop, it was just that no one ever seemed to listen unless there was an unbelievable amount of yelling done to get her point across, or something was utterly destroyed because of their incompetence and right now she was trying to save her voice. The wedding was creeping closer and closer and she didn't want to risk losing her voice from having screamed at the morons trying to destroy her wedding day.
