Aurora was really quite sweet with little Alexander, although it did make Clem rather uneasy such a small person was holding her son. He was such a well behaved baby who slept quite a lot at the moment but she was told that would change. He would have more demands as he got older and she supposed that would be a good thing. As much as they were enjoying being parents it would be nice if the baby did a little more than sleep and eat. Clem wasn't worried about not getting enough sleep because they had the house elf to help of a night time. All she'd have to do was feed Alec and then the house elf could get him back to sleep, however long that took. Right now she didn't mind being up with him at all hours, it was amazing bonding and she rather liked sneaking out of bed to cuddle her baby while Lucian slept. It was a nice feeling to have her husband sleeping soundly, undisturbed by their hungry child while she fed Alec and watched him drift quietly back to sleep. She'd not expected to love it so much but she had to admit, she was about as smitten with Alec as Aurora, the only difference was she could control herself in public, unlike the excited six year old.
As the men talked Meadowes made a noise, Clem had to admit she hadn't been fully paying attention to the conversation, she was more engaged in how Aurora and Alec were getting on with one another, at least through all her excitement, Aurora was gentle with the baby. "Hey now," She said in a kind warning tone, "That's one of my best friends you're talking about." Clem was well aware of what Dora was like, she was a little promiscuous to say the least, and she was pregnant out of wedlock, but it wasn't that big of a deal, Clem didn't think. A little unusual in their society but Dora always stood out in the best way, she wasn't drab or dull, she was someone that sparkled and stood out from the masses and this baby would be just another way she'd stand out and shine. Clem had every faith that Dora would be a wonderful mother to her baby and if she were to have any more children out of wedlock then she'd be a wonderful mother to them too, but one thing Clem felt certain of was that Dora very much deserved to find love.

A cot and a bassinet? Well it wasn't necessary if you couldn't afford it, but Dora would be able to afford it, even if it was gifted to her. Clem would buy her a bassinet if need be, she wanted this little Prince or Princess well looked after because he or she was going to be little Alec's playmate! They would grow up together, be in Slytherin together and have just a wonderful childhood. Perhaps one day, if Dora had a daughter, they'd get married and have a family of their own, although Clem doubted they'd be so fortunate as to have children that fall in love, but it didn't matter, love would just be an extra bonus, what was important was that these children were going to be a chance for Clem to keep Dora in her life. She'd noticed already that her childless friends that had been so excited for her pregnancy and had promised to visit as soon as the baby was born, had barely seen him. Clem had the urge to smash their faces into the nearest wall but in order to do that they'd have to come visit or give her a good time to go visit them.
"Of course! You can have the bassinet anywhere in the house then, set baby down in whatever room you're in and when it's not in use just set it in the corner," Clem moved over to her right, "Just here." She smiled and sighted. It was lovely having a baby - tiring, but lovely. "There's so much potential in here," She said, looking about the room and then over to Dora again. "I can't wait to see it all done up. Pink for a girl and blue for a boy?" She asked wondering if Dora would stick to the more traditional colours or if she'd go with something new and different. Clem was certain that if Dora had a daughter then there would be pink absolutely everywhere and for a boy it was anyone's guess, perhaps she'd go with a nice turquoise or gold and grey of some kind. Either way Dora would have it absolutely stunning once she knew what she was going to go with.

Clem happily followed Dora to another room while her friend told her of all her visions for her new home. Clem admired Dora's optimism, it was uplifting and made Clem happy to know that her friend was doing well. Pregnancy was a hectic time. All those hormones were intense. You never really thought they were affecting you until you did something outrageous, like cry over a run in a pair of tights you weren't even wearing, or feeling sick at the mention of anything with eggs as the main. Clem had had what she'd considered a relatively smooth, easy pregnancy, but looking back she could certainly see more now of how the hormones had affected her then rather than when she was in those moments. "You should run your own little business. I've always thought you'd make an excellent party planner or something of the like. You have a flare for wonder and sparkle that could make even the sourest of wealthy old bitches smile." She grinned, "And dildos in every party bag, I'm sure." She smirked.
Clem very much enjoyed being taken on Dora's little vision of what she hoped her home would be. Clem had no idea if the witch would ever get herself her grandma's plates and what have you, but if she didn't then perhaps in the meantime Clem could gift her something, just so it wasn't empty and so Dora wouldn't feel like a part of her was missing every time she looked upon the empty shelving. Dora put on such a strong front but Clem was aware she was more fragile under the surface than she'd ever willingly admit and that was okay, Clem would allow her friend her pride.
Clem took Alec back into her own arms when he began to fuss and then began to holler. She shh'd and patted him until he settled back to sleep and then moved around the house, the chatter of them women and the movement of the walking helping him drift off into a deeper sleep once the'd left the fresh air of Dora's patio. As they went up the stairs Clem thought Alec was going to wake again but the precious little babe stayed asleep and Dora showed Clem around, stopping at an empty room that was a lovely size. "Such an incredible space though, Dor!" She commented, "So much potential. Decorate it and then colour it when the baby arrives, lots of pink for a Princess and powder blue for a little Prince!" Clem walked around the space, getting just over half way into the room and turning about, looking up and absolutely everywhere the she could. "Cot, comfy rocking chair, bassinet, rug, bookcase." She sighed, happily imagining what could be, "You're going to have this place looking incredible in no time." Clem knew Dora was going to do an absolutely spectacular job of decorating this room, if anything this was going to be the room she outdid herself on because Dora lived to show off, it was just in her razzle dazzle nature, and Clem for one would gladly see Dora gloat at what a superb job she'd do on the nursery room.

"Just here, that's right." She said, helping Aurora to sit in a good position to hold baby Alec. "This arm just up a little, princess." She said with a cheery smile, pushing a cushion in under Aurora's arm for a little support, she was a growing child, having shot up since they'd last seen her at Christmas, but she was still going to need all the cushioning she could get to help hold Alec, and Clem was going to keep a hand on him at all times too, she had no idea what a six year old was going to be like with a newborn baby, but she couldn't imagine they'd be all that experienced! She was a fully grown woman and she wasn't all that experienced with a new born. It was a learning curve but one that was going rather well, she was pleased about. She hadn't known she'd take to being a mother so well but it seemed she was a natural and so it was easy to carry on with her plan of having another relatively soon. It had always been her intention to have children for her husband and then return to work as soon as she could, she was rather keen on giving Alec a sibling, hopefully a brother, so that he might have a friend and then, after their second was a little older, she'd return to her life at the Ministry. Her boy would be happy with a sibling and she'd be happy at work, although if he had a sister then she would perhaps have to revise that plan. She wanted to give Lucian two sons, as was expected of her. She liked her husband and she loved her son dearly so the idea of a second child was easy to make. "Just a water for me, thank you Roddy." She smiled, looking over to Rodolphus before she put her attention back on the stars of the room.
"I'm going to pass him to you now," She said just before she lent over, her arm cradling Alec against Aurora before she slipped her other hand out from under him. The baby stirred, making a grizzly noise. Clem shh'ed the baby, bouncing him ever so gently, hoping that he'd quiet down so that Aurora could have a good little cuddle with him, no doubt she'd be baby obsessed for a while after this, but Clem hoped any screaming Alec might do wouldn't put the little Princess off having a sibling, Rodolphus was in need of a son really, the whole world was waiting for him to have an heir and yet it seemed more likely these days that perhaps Rabastan would be the one to have a complete family first. At least Rodolphus wouldn't run out of time and who knew, perhaps he and Meadowes would tie the knot soon and start a family of their own. It was an odd pairing but she was a death eater now which Clem took to mean she was most definitely on the right side of things, despite what rumours had been circulating for years about her being a bloodtraitor.

Clem thought the home was just perfect for Dora and her little bub, whenever he or she would make their way into the world. Clem was grateful that she had Lucian to help out and that they had supportive family that wanted to help with the baby by spending time holding and rocking him to sleep, buying numerous gifts and simply showering their baby in love. Two uncles and four aunts, both sets of grandparents and a house elf. The baby was loved and adored already and Clem had found adjusting to parenthood rather easy but she knew it was because of the support she had, she had no idea how Dora would manage as a single mother, no siblings to gush over the new addition to the family, a heartless mother, a dead father, no house elf, no funds for a nanny and most significantly - no partner. Clem had no idea how Dora was going to cope doing it alone. She'd offer as much support as she could but there was no telling how well she could help Dora out, how often she could visit, she would still have Alec to care for so visits wouldn't be as often as she liked but she would certainly make an effort and she hoped Dora would still pop around to hers, whether invited or not.
Making their way to Dora's Purple Room, Clem took it all in. The large mirror was perfectly Dora and the urns were totally creepy but completely Dora's business. She spoke of her father like they had a loving relationship but everyone under the sun was aware that Dora's parents could be considered absentee at best, abusive at worst. Clem just thought they were total dicks but as it was, nobody ever said anything, you just went about your business ignoring the business of others until it became your business. "You're going to have this place absolutely perfect in no time!" Clem grinned. "And that purple is just beautiful." Dora had spectacular taste and it was going to show. "You're not expecting too much of yourself, are you?" She asked wanting to make sure that Dora wasn't pushing herself too hard, she was pregnant and had just moved home, there was such a thing as doing too much, Clem knew from experience, only she had Lucian to worry about her and slow her down, the best that Dora had was Fin and he was more than likely oblivious to a pregnant woman's needs and abilities.

Clem bounced around the ground floor of the house, shushing Alexander to keep him asleep. Dora's home was beautiful and so perfect for her. She was going to raise her son or daughter in a wonderful home and Clem would be visiting practically all the time! The whole idea that her son and Dora's child would be at school with one another was exciting! Sure Clem and Dora didn't know who the father was, but Dora claimed he was pureblooded and Clem had no reason to doubt that. She had nothing but an honest, and slightly hilarious, friendship with Dora, and she'd be pleased for Alec to grow up with baby Parkinson as a life long friend, perhaps even more if Dora had a little girl!
Dora's voice came up from behind and Clem turned her head and smiled at Dora. Alec was still sound asleep in her arms. Clem beamed down at Alec, enjoying Dora's little coo over her baby. He was an absolute angel, he really was, and Dora was right, he had gotten big. Every time she looked down at him he seemed to grow. Clem had seen an eight month old baby only a couple of weeks ago and she couldn't imagine Alec being that size in such a short space or time. The baby had been huge to Clem but apparently she was average size. Clem thought there must have been some kind of mistake but according to her mother babies did grow far too fast, which Clem wasn't looking forward to, she rather loved her little boy being her little baby boy.
"Of course you can!" She said quietly, shifting Alec in her arms and passing him over to Dora as smoothly as she could manage. "I can't believe how fast he's growing." She stated, sighing at the end. Her baby would be a grown man someday and Clem hoped to enjoy watching him grow but at the same time she wanted him to stay teeny tiny for just a little while longer. "Your home is magnificent, Dora." She told the witch, although Dora was probably more than aware! "Fancy giving me a tour?" She asked with cheeky grin, looking forward to having a good snoop in Dora's home and seeing what she had set up. Dora had impeccable tastes, that Clem was a little jealous of, and it was sure to show in her very own home.

'Interesting' was certainly a word for what this visit might be. Not necessarily the one Clem would use for this afternoon but then what could she do about it really? So many people wanted to meet little baby Alexander and Clem was more than happy to go around from family to family, introducing their heir in a more intimate manner. They had plenty of people come to visit but occasionally Clem liked to leave the home, get a bit of fresh air and change her surroundings. She wanted to be an active mother in the life of her children, she'd had active parents in her life and she'd turned out wonderful, Lucian too for that matter. They had a precious little darling that was all theirs and Clem couldn't imagine handing him off and barely ever seeing him. The thought was quite preposterous to the witch. She was going to have plenty of help with her child as he grew but she didn't want him to be uncertain of who his mother was, she didn't want to be like the high classes that gave their children away to nannies and house elves all the time.
It didn't take long before footsteps could be heard approaching. Clem looked up to Lucian with a supportive smile and then looked ahead to the doorway. Rodolphus and Meadowes appeared together like a happy little couple. Well he looked happy, rather smug actually, whereas Dorcas kind of looked as though she had a face like a slapped arse. Well this was going to drag, she thought as Roddy greeted Lucian and then herself. She chuckled a little, giving a rather feminine laugh before Aurora bounded in loudly, demanding to hold the baby. Clem chuckled at her pure excitement. So sweet but so loud. Clem shielded the baby's ears a little and apparently Meadowes saw fit to speak up in the place of her mother. Interesting. Clem's gaze shifted from Dorcas to Aurora and she smiled brightly at the darling princess, "Come and sit next to me," She patted the space on the sofa next to her, "Get nice and comfy then let me know when you're ready and you can have a little cuddle." She suggested, figuring that being able to hold the baby would help calm the overly excited child, and if not then they could try something else to keep Aurora happy and Alexander asleep.

Life with a newborn was really quite different. Alec woke, ate, needed changing, needed feeding again, and then slept once more. It was only little things like that that their child did but it took a huge portion of the day to get it all done. Thankfully they had help. There was the nanny that helped soothe Alec and get him to sleep, Clem needed her own space and she was encouraging of Lucian taking his own time too. Clem felt that Lucian was doing a wonderful job as a father as well as the wonderful job he'd already been doing as her husband. Clem was very happy with her life right now. She and Lucian had talked of when they might have another and Clem was eager to try as soon as her body would allow. If they had another son then she would be done baring children for her husband. She could even perhaps become a Death Eater full time for the Dark Lord, be on call at all times for him, but should the next one be a daughter then she would have a third, but that would be all. She was certain that Lucian would be pleased with a son and two daughters, should it come to that. She didn't want to push her body beyond three pregnancies because it was quite simply too time consuming as well as exhausting.
The new parents left home on time and arrived at Lestrange Chateau. Clem had her son cradled in her arms as they rang the bell and the door was opened in an instant by an elf. Clem stepped in first, looking about for their hosts but there was no sign of either of them. Merlin this was wonderfully delicious! She was going to tell Evie absolutely everything about this visit! Dorcas Meadowes had somehow managed to kill Bellatrix Lestrange and then moved into the very manor she'd once lived, raising the child of the woman she'd killed. It was really quite delicious. So very entertaining. Clem didn't care either way for Bellatrix. She was certainly entertaining in her own way, however. Confronting her husband's mistress over his affairs was just hilarious. If Lucian was having affairs then Clem was not aware of them, if he chose to have a mistress then that was certainly none of her business yet Bellatrix, perhaps through jealousy or possibly boredom, decided to confront her husband's Auror mistress and she paid the heavy price for that, heavier than anyone could ever have foreseen really.
Clem followed the house elf to the lounge where she shrugged her coat off, switching Alec from arm to arm, letting the house elf take the garment. Clem took a seat on the sofa, facing the entrance. She shifted around a little, getting comfortable, her sweet little babe asleep in her arms. He was quite a darling infant but then perhaps she was biased. He did look quite a lot like Lucian's side of the family. She'd not expected him to look so much like a Burke but at least there was no denying that he was certainly Lucian's child. Their precious son was truly perfection, even when he screamed, but perhaps Clem was just smitten with the darling.

Everyone had made motherhood sound so impossibly bad. Clem was finding herself well rested and doing well through the post-pregnancy hormone haze. Sure she was still forgetting a few things here and there and she still wasn't as quick thinking as she had been pre-pregnancy, but all that would lift eventually, right? Right. That was what she kept telling herself because honestly, things were going so wonderfully that they had to just keep on going so well. Lucian was a wonder, ever day he did his part in their son's life. Every day he found a little time for her too and she'd been told not to expect anything at all from her husband! It was going exceedingly well for the couple. They worked almost in sync with one another and Clem was able to bathe, get dressed, sort out her hair and makeup, feed the baby, get him changed and dressed to go out all while fielding owls from work and arranging play dates for baby Alexander, not that he was aware of anything beyond his reach at this point. Right now all he ever did was sleep and eat and she wasn't even sure he realised he was born.
Taking the carriage to Dora's was swift and safe. Alexander barely made a peep and before she knew it they were outside of Dora's new place. Clem couldn't help but notice how very similar it was to the place Dora's parents had once owned, before Dora's mother had to sell it once she'd lost her husband and son. How terrifying really. Poor Rebekah, and poor Dora for that matter. Clem was so pleased to still have her parents and her siblings, to have a wonderful husband, a beautiful son and never to have to worry about her financial needs. She had some of her own gold saved away, mainly from working at the ministry. She'd never really needed the gold her job paid, her parents were well off enough to support her and her now husband was even more well off meaning she didn't actually have to work at all really, but she would return to it soon enough, she wanted to play an active role once more in the war that was slowly ticking on, day by day by day.
Turning her head up at the sound of a voice calling day Clem smiled and let herself in to Dora's place. Her yappy little dog came running up, nails clicking against the hardwood floorboards. She was fast and full of energy, barking away. "Shh, Mimi, shhh!" She scolded the dog, waving her hand trying to shoo it. Alexander started to stir a little, grizzling in his sleep at the loud noise the dog was making, "Let the little one sleep, puppy." She told it, not really having any idea how smart Dora's dog was. Stepping to the side of the pram, Clem reached down and pulled out her little bundle. She walked, bounced and shh'ed to keep her baby from waking, exploring the house a little for herself as she kept her baby sleeping, Mimi no longer barking gleefully at their arrival, thank Morgana!

Clem had never been in love. Not in the romantic sense that was. She loved her parents, her sister, her brother, but she'd never been in love with a fellow that she was sweet on. She never really expect to be in love love at any point in her life but she was fairly certain that they way she felt for Lucian was relatively close to the emotion people gushed about. He was magnificent really. She'd dropped one heck of a hex on him with this big, big news, and he'd done well to handle it all the way he had. He had taken a few moments to compose himself when he'd left for a while but honestly, she'd not expected this kind of reaction when she told him. There were so many moments in their new marriage that made Clem believe that their union would be a positive one and this whole evening was just another moment to add to the veer growing collection. A collection of positive interactions that would keep them going strong for many, many years to come. "Okay then," She said softly, a smile resting on her lips, "I'll begin organising everything tomorrow. Goodnight, darling." She said softly. She'd have a word with the Dark Lord, explain her situation and Lucian's loyalties. She was nervous as she moved in closer to her husband, resting herself on him for a little comfort, to face the Dark Lord was one thing, but by bringing Lucian into the fold she was promising he was worthy. She was literally risking her life for her husband and while she was certain he was a good man, a good husband with beliefs that truly aligned with her own, there was still a small niggle of doubt eating away at her, reminding her that a couple of years ago, she'd not even known Lucian. Morgana she hoped she was right about her husband.

With the details Dora was able to give, the story of which she was able to tell, Clem was completely gone. She wanted nothing more than to be able to ounce her husband and her hormones, as wild as they were, seemed very convincing right now that if she didn't screw her husband she might actually explode, and not in the good way. She'd burst into a million pieces, splattered all over the walls, floors and her good friends. Not to mention she'd ruin the afternoon tea set out for them. Merlin that was something else about pregnancy for Dora to enjoy, one way or another, her tastes were going to change. Clem had experienced some bizarre cravings and, to his credit, Lucian had indulged her anyway that he could help. Clem felt exceedingly lucky to have a husband as decent as Lucian, she only wished Dora could find someone for her, or at least someone to help her raise the child she was carrying. It wasn't going to be easy being a single mother in their world, they were practically outcasts and Dora already had it rough enough. Clem wouldn't let it happen. She'd cling to Dora as much as she could and she knew Fin would be the same. Together they could keep Dora in high society for as long as Dora wanted or until she found herself an incredibly wealthy pureblooded husband.
"So true," she sighed, knowing it was shallow to obsess over a name, but honestly, Clem was dying to know. She wanted to round all these men up and compare the child to them. She knew that was ridiculous and would never work even if she could gather everyone. Chances were the baby would come out looking like Dora, after all Dora had come out looking exactly like her mother only with better, less frightful hair and fashion sense. "I'll assume it was Moreau. Wealthy wizarding family, beautiful faces, amazing hair." She giggled, getting all excited again. "I bet they're super pure as well. You'll have the purest baby and you can shove it in the faces of those stuck up cows." She laughed, obviously meaning Lilith but she couldn't speak ill of her sister in law, not when this was also her husband's home. Lucian was very good to her and she was not going to disrespect his family. Not this time around at least.

Clem nodded as though trying to put on a convincing act of being a poor, heavily pregnant and exhausted woman. Admittedly it wasn't that far of a stretch and she did find herself getting quite tired at the drop of a hat sometimes, but right now that was not one of those instances. She left the party with her husband, or more left the main area of the party, they made their way through the stunning home that was clearly purchased as only a way to show off the wealth of the Lestrange family, and they made their way to a beautiful guest room. The moment they were in Clem pulled out her wand and locked the door. She turned around and practically pounced her husband, pulling him down to her height to kiss him, practically devouring him in her lust. She felt starved for his touch even though she most certainly was not.
Walking backwards towards the bed and pulling Lucian with her Clem worked on the buttons to his waistcoat. Why in the name of Merlin was he dressed in so many layers? She felt impatient and needy. She decided against unbuttoning the remaining buttons and she just pulled apart the waistcoat with a force most people wouldn't realise she was capable of. Buttons flung off and she made her way to the shirt, ripping that open too, her hands seeking his warm flesh as she fell back on the bed.

Getting to the hospital was what Clementine could only describe as 'uncomfortable' She couldn't get up and move around and she knew that if she kept pulling the coach over to walk off her contractions then they'd never get to the hospital and she'd have their baby, their first born child, on the side of some dirty road! She was never going to let that happen and so while Lucian tried to help her feel more comfortable it only became awkward.
Eventually they arrived at the hospital and Clem was taken to her room. She paid no attention to it as she walked about. She had no idea of who was coming and going, the only thing she care about was Lucian. He was in her presence and he was a calming influence. He encourage her to breathe and his touch was soothing. The contractions were still coming in intense waves but she was able to manage them as she focused on his voice, his touch and his scent.
The hours went by and Clem grew tired and she'd lost all pretence of modesty, losing her clothes and the hospital robe, irritated by anything touching her skin. She'd crushed Lucian's hands countless times, alternated between resting against the bed, walking around, laying on her side and going on all fours. Eventually the time came and the urge to push was overwhelming. She heard a female voice speaking to her, positioned somewhere behind her as she rested her head on the pillow, still on all fours on the bed. She was told to breathe, nice and deep. She groaned as another contraction came, pulsing across her stomach and round her back, forcing her to push. Contraction after contraction, pushing after pushing she knew her baby was coming closer to the world but she couldn't take the time to enjoy that thought. Another contraction hit, her body trying to expel the baby while the matron urged her to just breath slowly. Soon the head was out. One more contraction and the body followed. The matron passed the baby up through Clem's legs as she turned to sit on the bed. The little darling cried and Clem held the slipper blue thing against her chest, looking down at it in absolute amazement. Their child was here. She'd done it, she pushed her baby into the world and there it was, on her chest, crying with eyes tight shut, getting pinker and pinker by the second as it took more and more oxygen into its lungs. Someone had pulled a blanket up over her bent legs and she looked up at Lucian, smiling beyond belief before she looked back at their child as she rubbed her hand over its back, shhing and pulling the blanket up over them, forgetting to even check to see if they had a son or daughter because right now, it didn't even matter to Clem, she was entirely in love with someone she'd just met for the first time in her life.

With all things considered Clem thought that Lucian handled things rather well. He didn't walk way from her or treat her any differently. He did need a little space after showing her some much needed affection and Clem was fine with that. She smiled as he left and went about her business, getting ready for an evening alone and then eventually climbing into bed alone. She wasn't worried. She was married to Lucian and she had his child in her womb. He had been calm when he'd left and honestly, he would come to terms with the news soon enough, be it tonight, tomorrow or a week from now, Clem had faith in her husband and his ability to ride the rough waves. They'd only been married a matter of months but in that time Clem felt she'd really come to know what Lucian was like as a partner, as a husband, and she was certain that no matter what happened between the two of them, that he would be an amazing father to their child.
Clem lost track of the time laying in bed. She was about ready to drift off having put her book down and turned her light off, but as she laid there in the dark she herd the door handle turn and the door quietly open. She recognised the pattern of the footfall and knew it was Lucian home from his walkabout. She laid there silently as he got himself ready for bed and she wondered if he would say anything.
She feigned sleep as he came back into the room from the ensuite and listened to his movements, able to see him in her minds eye purely from the noises he was making. He climbed into their marital bed and Clem waited, the silence deafening until he spoke. Her body relaxed, she hadn't even realised that she'd been tense, but she rolled over to face him, rolling to he back first and then on to her side now that she could no longer roll in one swift move. "Help?" She said quietly, "Help how?" She wasn't sure how Lucian could help but he hadn't come home reeking of too much booze, he hadn't come home angry and he hand't spent the whole night with another woman. That to her was a win and if he wanted to help her then she was certainly open to suggestions.
