Fair share. Dorcas was willing to bet someone like Jasper had more than his faire share. Tall, blue eyes and that mess of dirty blonde hair. Dorcas was willing his hair wasn’t the only thing dirty about him but she had a problem, she figured because she had her little kinks, so did everyone else, but her kinks weren’t exactly little. They were more other people’s nightmares but everyone had to have something, even if they’d never admit it to anyone, not even themselves. Jasper admitting he didn't know as much as he'd like about pussies was a bit of a surprise, she'd expected arrogance, claiming he was an expert but what she got was far from that - actually she had no sodding clue what she got from that but she wasn't going to let it show. Dorcas just smirked a little and tilted her head slightly, looking up at Jasper. He wasn't her usual type but he had a few things she liked: he was tall, he had a sense for danger and occasionally he had an arrogant streak she enjoyed.
"Well, Casanova, I need some help." It was often perceived among her peers that Dorcas did not ask for help. In fact that was straight up not true, what she did not like were other people butting their noses into her work and telling her how shit should be handled. Would they do that with a male colleague? Hell no they wouldn't. After a few instances in her earlier years as a fully qualified auror some of the more sexist arseholes in the department were treating her like a kid, acting as though she was incompetent. Well that had been a big mistake for them. She hadn't taken all too kindly to arseholes treating her like that. She wasn't used to it and she wasn't going to get used to it. The Auror department may have been a bit of a boys club but she put them in their place when it needed to be done. She'd heard the term 'bitch' tossed around a time or two and one would think that Dorcas would have been pissed and taught those jack-arses a lesson but no, she just laughed it off, finding it amusing that these blokes were too scared to say anything of the sort to her face. She was not a pushover in any sense of the word and she only spent her time with her fellow auror's that weren't complete nob heads. Dorian in particular had no option, he'd dated her cousin and she'd just taken that as an open invite to his life and it was just as well with the crap he'd endured this year. Jasper was another one she didn't mind all too much. He'd never been a giant pain in her arse and he'd never shown any interest in screwing her brains out on his desk or anything of the like so she'd figured he was just one of those guys to mess around with in a non-sexual, non-make outy kind of way. "I've got two kittens and I've no idea how to keep them alive." One would think it was basic but Dorcas had no sodding clue. What did they eat? Was she expected to find mice for them or something? They only looked small, not long parted from their mother and so far all they'd had was a bit of milk on a saucer and a bit of raw chicken.

Dorian got up and started messing around with the radio while Dorcas was probably a pain in the arse from his point of view. He didn't deny that he'd like her calling him 'boss' so she was more than ready to use that against him at some point in the future. She figured he'd just do what he was doing tonight and ignore it until it pissed him off so much he politely asked her to stop and when she didn't, he'd just do that face he always did and carry on. "Want me to scream at Peterson until he gives you another promotion? It's not like you don't deserve it." And she would, it was a genuine offer and one he'd refuse, probably telling her there was no such need for that. She disagreed. If you wanted something within the ministry then you needed to be prepared to cause a bitch of a fuss to get it because if you didn't then what? They'd pass it on to whoever did bitch the most. Sure Dorian had gotten a promotion to leading the Auror academy but Head of the Department was far better and that even came with the possibility of future Minister for Magic. While that didn't seem like something Dorian would strive for, Dorcas had no doubts he'd actually be bloody fantastic in the role.
Going back to the pictures Dorcas carried on through the album, laughing whenever she found something amusing. However sometimes in life you really had to just question 'What the actual fuck?' "What the actual fuck?" She said, looking over to Dorian, finding it hard to believe that the well dressed man she was used to seeing day in and day out looked ... She wasn't really sure how to phrase it. Gross? He still had that handsome face but a moustache? Kind of greasy looking, long-ish hair? Stubble? A suit that was shiny and too big? Oh it was torture! What had she ever done to deserve something like this! It was awful! He hadn't looked liked that since she'd known him, had he? Was this some kind of undercover thing where he had to look like a giant troll-arse? She truly hoped this wasn't for a date or something like that because Dorcas would have to actually take pity on whoever the poor girl was, unless she'd been worse than Dorian, in which case the two would have deserved one another at that time. Dorcas had never been so glad that Dorian wore the suits that he wore. Sure he'd look better naked and pinning her against a wall but a suit was definitely better than this catastrophe.

"Johnson be on your way and stop wasting Agent Scamander's time. Shouldn't you be doing something productive with your time rather than standing around like some kind of nit-wit?" She said in a close to exasperated tone. Of course neither man had really been at fault, both men had accidentally walked in to one another ... okay so Jasper was kind of at fault for bashing in to a completely stationary person but she was after his help so she was hardly going to take any sort of stance against him, even if it was only in her own mind and Dorcas had witnessed it. Kind of. Okay not a whole lot. She'd been busy. One would perhaps think that she'd been busy with work matters and she supposed she was in a way because she'd been staring at Jasper's arse as he walked out of his cubical and turned the opposite direction to the one she'd been walking in to get to his cubical. She hadn't called out to him, despite him being able to take far longer strides than herself because she figured he'd have to stop eventually, she hadn't realised he'd just walk into some other bloke that was half his size and standing completely stationary. Still Johnson nodded, apologised and went on his way leaving Dorcas with Jasper although if he'd been sitting at his desk as she'd hoped this conversation would have been a lot easier on her neck. A lot easier on her arse too if he'd let her sit on his lap, which was entirely inappropriate work behaviour but completely something she'd do give then question she had to ask him.
"Thank Merlin that twit's gone," She said, looking after Johnson as he tried to figure out just what the bloody hell to do with himself, "Anyway, I had a question for you." She said, there was no gentle ease into conversation with Dorcas, she wasn't exactly one to beat around the bush, especially not when she had actual work to be getting on with and not just staring at Jasper's arse as he walked, although holy Morgana! That was definitely something she'd enjoy playing with. "What do you know about pussies?" She asked, a slight little pull up on the corner of her lips. She was well aware of how the question had sounded however she was not going to explain herself, she first wanted to see Jasper's reaction and see if there'd be any catching on to what she was talking about at this stage, which was of course pussy cats, but she made the question seem far more crude than it needed to be. She only needed help with a little something, a couple of little somethings actually and knowing Jasper came from a family of animal lovers she figured if there was anyone in the office to ask about animals it was Jasper, there was no attempt to even ask Dorian as she was sure a pet would be far too chaotic for him to handle and she couldn't ask her parents because they would practically coo over the two little kittens she had at home, no doubt hoping that because Dorcas had rethought her policy on pets then perhaps some day in the future she'd rethink her stance on children. She would not, however they would hold out more hope than ever and not only that they'd be giant pains in the arse about it too, in particular her mother who wanted nothing more than to be a grandmother and practically got her wish last year when she'd become a quasi-grandma to little Ariel.

The garden paths were nearly all done and Dorcas was just finishing up the stones along the front of the house with her mam. As the pair turned the corner, quietly chatting. Dorian was at the front door and lifting his hand, ringing the bell. "Hey," She called out, "No need to be so loud, we'll be there in a second." She said sarcastically but the tone didn't convey the sarcasm that was intended, Dorcas just assumed people got her sarcasm and if they didn't then it was all the more fun. Unless it was her mum who purposefully ignored her sarcasm and took Dorcas' word as truth. Dorcas knew her mum got it, she was just being a purposeful pain in the arse in order to irritate Dorcas. Her mother was definitely where she got her irritating genes from.
They were with Dorian and Ariel within seconds. The spell worked fast as they walked their normal pace from one end of the house to the front door. As soon as she got to Dorian and Ariel Dorcas reached out for Ariel and took her from Dorian without so much as asking. "Alright." She said as a greeting to Dorian, "You know you can just let yourself in, right?" She smirked knowing he'd never attempt such a thing if there was ever even the remote chance that she might be around and especially if there was even the remote possibility that Rodolphus could be about. "Come on," She said, turning her attention to Ariel who was all snug and warm in something ridiculously warm looking but she was only little, she wanted to be hood free but in this snow she needed the warmth, even if it wasn't snowing right now, "Lets get you out of this, what is that, fur? You'll over heat with that on in a place like this. And you can help me pick out what to wear. Our selection is very limited, I'm warning you now." She said as she opened the front door and walked in. "And if daddy-Dor's dressed you in too many frills, you're getting an outfit change my girl." She said, pulling the hood down on the infant, supporting her with both hands and stealing her away up stairs. As much as Dorcas loved being comfy in her pyjamas she wanted to get changed into something a little less casual and perhaps, seeing as she had the baby, she might even contemplate changing a nappy if needs be, however if it was poop then Ariel was just going straight to Dorcas' mum, no questions asked. Luckily right now there wasn't a stench coming from the baby so Dorcas figured she was probably safe, and knowing Dorian he probably would have changed her right before they'd left home, whether she was wet or not. So it was off up the stairs the pair went after Dorcas knocked her heals against the bottom of the door frame and stomped on the door mat her feet to get off any traces of snow of dirt.

The sight of Rodolphus being pulled away was hilarious in of itself. The fact he'd done it after someone he disapproved of had dared to touch her bare arse at a party that was beginning to border on some kind of strange orgy was just extreme perfection for the night. He was furious, beyond furious. His face was so reddened from his fighting and his yelling it almost looked as though he was going to blow his top. They idea of Rodolphus this angry, this frustrated only meant that their night was going to get all the more better. Dorcas knew he wasn't going to hold back his rage around her, she knew he was going to try and break her more than he had any other time and she welcomed his attempts, of course they first had to deal with the fact Rodolphus was being dragged away by security. For a moment Dorcas contemplated spending the rest of the night at the party without him, finding someone else for a bit of night time fun. Rodolphus wouldn't be getting back in to the party without magic and part of her wondered if he'd risk exposing magic to apparate in and back out again with her. The amount of rage he was going through at the moment she figured it was entirely possible. Possible but not probable.
Following on behind the bouncers dragging Rodolphus out Dorcas knew she was smirking and she didn't care who saw. There was a flash of light as some muggle tried to get a photograph of Rodolphus being dragged off. Just as the flash went off one of the bouncers already had his hand up and shoved the camera into the face of the nob. This was quite possibly the most perfect birthday she'd ever had with him and the night wasn't even over for them yet. Seeing him literally tossed to the curb, yelling at a couple of muggles was exceedingly brilliant though. She had to admit she knew Rodolphus could get jealous but she hadn't expected quite this much. She would have been flattered if it wasn't for all the shit in his system that was most likely heightening anything he was feeling, which in this case was probably the urge to slaughter a lot of American Muggles.
Dorcas stood with her wand at her side. She'd drawn it after she'd checked the corridor was bare excluding the bouncers, herself, and Rodolphus. Well, Rodolphus was out on the curb but that was neither here nor there. As the bouncers turned back around Dorcas gave her wand a couple of swishes and obliviated the recent memories of the bouncers that had dragged and thrown Rodolphus. As much as she'd enjoyed the sight she really would have preferred watching Rodolphus whipping out his wand in a crowded room of stoned muggles. After the non-verbal obliviation of the bouncers Dorcas slipped her wand back away in her tight jeans, making it seem as though the wand would have just disappeared. "You've both just been out for a break. You're secretly having a love affair with one another but now it's time to head back to the function room before anyone notices you're gone." She said then stepped aside as the new information sunk in to the bouncers. It took a moment but it sunk in and one, then the other, came back to life. The bigger bouncers looked to the smaller bouncer as Dorcas walked on by, acting as though she was just in her way out. Together the bouncers took one another's hands and began walking down the corridor. "Mindy's going to be heartbroken when she finds out." She said, finding the forced together now gay couple rather adorable but fuck it, they'd thrown Rodolphus out and they could now deal with the consequences. If the big burley one with the wedding ring on his ring finger and a heart tattoo halfway up his forearm that read 'Mindy' was to find his marriage ruined well then Dorcas honestly didn't give a single shit

Dorcas sighed sat in her living room chair, bored out of her mind she'd been reading a case file when a flash of light went off in front of her. A blast of fire appeared in front of her and she knew there was no way anyone was getting into her home uninvited so clearly it was another call from Dumbledore. Sure enough the brief image of a phoenix could kind of be made out in the flames but it was gone before her eyes could focus, in its place a letter, sealed with magical purple wax that would only open at her touch. She slid her finger in under the envelope and broke the seal, pulling to the same old letter she'd received plenty of times before. Hair already thrown up in a scruffy bun Dorcas wasn't going to bother putting in any more effort, she wasn't even going to bother putting on a cloak or jumper, she just used her wand to make all her work files disappear incase Rodolphus paid her a visit and got snoopy upon not finding her home. As it was he'd paid her a visit a couple of nights ago and been insatiable. He'd exhausted the both of them.
Holding the letter up to the door of the building it turned to ash in her hand, flakes falling through her hand. As the ashes settled on the ground the door to the place opened and Dorcas walked inside. She was used to this whole show, she'd been in the Order too long and she'd lost count of how many times she'd done this. She knew what the meeting tonight would be about. She'd spoken to Dumbledore yesterday in their little room out the back of the one where the meetings were held. Cute, cosy, warm. Their little gossip nook was a safe and secure place, even more so than the room the meetings were held in. Dumbledore had a way with protective spells, even protective spells within protective spells. Everything they spoke of in their little room remained between the two of them. Back along when she was freshly graduated from Hogwarts and an Auror trainee Dumbledore himself had taught her occlumency. It was of utmost importance that she had her mind protected and it was all for a good reason. Several good reasons in fact.
Dorcas walked the narrow hallway until she reached the first door on the left. With a twist of the handle she let herself in to the meeting room where Dumbledore was the perfect hostess with drinks a sweet treats all around the room. Chairs were dotted about and Dorcas bade the Headmaster a greeting, "Evening, Albus." She gave a small nod of her head, knowing what the evening was going to entail didn't make it any easier to get through but Dorcas had a knack for pushing aside emotions, ignoring anything that might be disturbing in order to focus on what needed to be done. Rather than thinking about the evening ahead Dorcas made her way to the wine, grabbed a glass of red, raised it to Dumbledore and walked off towards the edge of the room, leaving space for any newcomers to grab some drinks while she enjoyed a lovely glass of merlot and patiently waited for the meeting to get going.

Dorcas didn't give a crap who was touching her arse, or anywhere on her body for that matter. The atmosphere of the whole night had her swept away and the potions she'd had were doing their job in keeping her up. Roddy must have been somewhere else entirely with the amount in his system. From potions, alcohol, and drugs his head must have been some place she just couldn't possibly comprehend and she was freaking loving it. She didn't go out with Dolphus like this all that often, she didn't want to be seen with him and he couldn't risk being seen ruining his reputation. If word got out that he was seeing a blood traitor on a regular basis then what? Not a whole lot, probably. There'd be talk of such a scandal but would anything actually change? No. He wasn't the only one of that lot having an affair and he wouldn't be the first or the last to be caught but a man like Rodolphus was powerful, his business would stand tall and strong because, as far as Dorcas could tell, he pretty much owned a bit of absolutely fucking everything. It was ridiculous. He was one of the few people in the world that could do no wrong and she was one of the few people that could tell him no, when she felt like it.
Suddenly there were no hands on her exposed backside and dorcas turned her head to spy her date of the evening getting exceedingly jealous as his fists collided with the bloke who Dorcas guessed had also been taking advantage of her bare arse. With a smirk, unable to hide her amusement at the situation, she stood, pulling her jeans and knickers up at the same time and buttoning herself up. The zip was inaudible over the sounds of Dolphy's rage, screaming at the bloke and calling him muggle filth. The muggle filth component of the yelling she was easily overlooked as she bit her bottom lip, watching the man she screwed and had once hated wrap a mans face around his fists, just for touching her. She liked it. A lot. She missed the screams from the people watching what was happening. She was still focused on his fists. Covered in blood she watched, eager to see how this would play out, as he reached for his wand. If he performed magic here and now in front of so many muggles he was going to land himself in more trouble than he'd ever been in before. The idea he'd instinctually risk everything for her was beyond amusing and while she knew it was a bad idea for him to draw his wand, it was entirely up to him, she wasn't going to stop him. If anything she was keen to see how much he'd have to pay to get himself out of such a situation. The prospect of Rodolphus landing himself in major trouble was almost as exciting as the blood on his knuckles. It was a shame it was all over rather swiftly. Two large and brutal looking hired security guards each wrapped hands the size of dustbin lids around Rod's arms, tugging on him to pull him off of the muggle. Dorcas hadn't realised that while everyone was either excited about a fight or horrified she was there, laughing.

Lunete Penelope Dearborn and Tristan Jude Dearborn Close now and they get on wonderfully! <3
Dorcas Amilie Meadowes and Tristan Jude Dearborn Aww! Well Roddy can't have been Dorcas' first time because if he was she would have been mentally scarred for life. Cue Tristan! Cute, can actually withstand her out there personality and when she realised he was looking at her differently to before she would have made that leap and kissed him! Then kissy kissy turned to more and he was her first. Awkward for her being so inexperienced but he would have just been the perfect first! Adorable! They just get on well, if he wasn't annoyed with her in general then she would have always felt super comfy with him and messaged him a few times when he was abroad. She's totally up for drunken sock puppets!
Dorcas Amilie Meadowes and Geralina Amara Drake Putting her seperate xD She'd be totally overwhelmed and at a loss and failing to see what the big deal is but she'd attempt some effort. Nothing phoney or condescending, just nice Dorcas! Or as nice as she can be. She may put her foot in her mouth but Geralina would know what and how she means things xD
paris cordelia james and Tristan Jude Dearborn She would have sent millions of messages when he moved! There's no way she'd have lost touch with Tristan! She thought he was wild and great fun! She would have loved the influence he had on Geralina and asked every now and then when he planned to come back for a holiday! There were totally pictures of him at the funeral, hugging and laughing with Paris and Geralina so there's an opening for Dorian to recognise him!
@lenore and Tristan Jude Dearborn Yes! Awwww that'd be awesome! All of it! Yessss!!
Jovian Isobel Corrine Rowle and Tristan Jude Dearborn She'd be well behaved, polite, smile but she doesn't like him, not in the slightest. She thinks it'd be best if the new Astronomy Professor wound up dead at some point but not until the school year's over. She doesn't want anything potentially ruining her grade xD
Emily Jane Meadowes and André Daniel Meadowes and Tristan Jude Dearborn Aww! They'd treat him like family! André would kind of run him through the ins and outs of the Order, let him know about what different people do. Also told him Dorcas has no idea they're involved and they'd like to keep it that way for now, that kind of thing.
Lilith A. C. Lestrange and Tristan Jude Dearborn Yeah, I got nothing! So lets keep going! xD
Tersha Alara Knight and Vienna Phoebe Rosier Mutual dislike? Obviously Tersha would know about most of the crap Paris went through with her family and since Vienna's managed to claw her way up the social ladder without even really trying she'd no doubt have caught Tersha's eye so she has to be super careful not to give Tersha any good scoops by mistake and she and her husband act the prefect couple in public but perhaps maybe too perfect? xD
Finley Charles Avery and Vienna Phoebe Rosier She worked with his daddy! His daddy helped bring her in to the death eaters! She encouraged Fin to kill Paris but how? We should work this out, probably via PM or chat!
Geralina Amara Drake and Vienna Phoebe Rosier Major hate then? xD
Julian Astraeus Blackthorne and Vienna Phoebe Rosier She likes him. A lot. He didn't know Paris, he wasn't enamoured by her at any stage and he's honest. He's manipulative. He's fun. They have babies six months apart and there are playdates and parenting talk in their future xD
Livia Eleanor Grace Burke and Vienna Phoebe Rosier Second cousin to Camron making Liv and Vie second cousins in law xD I think that if Liv was friendly and lovely to Vie then she would be completely lovely back. Of course if she's not then that'll probably make Vie nervous xD
Tristan Jude Dearborn and Vienna Phoebe Rosier Probably wouldn't have realised she existed had they not been in the same year and house! Still they were and she didn't really interact with him much. If he was nice to her at school then she would have been flattered at the attention and not quite sure what to have done with it. Obviously a lot has happened since then and he probably dislikes her quite a bit now and she would openly dislike him.

Christmas!! It didn't matter how old she got Dorcas just loved Christmas! Every year she spent it with her parents, staying over at their place on Christmas eve, bringing the presents for everyone over and sticking them in under the tree. Within thirty seconds of placing the last present and folding up the bag she'd brought the presents over in, her mum would re-organise everything under the tree and send Dorcas off to spend some time with her father, which Dorcas didn't mind in the slightest. She helped him out in his veggie garden this year and avoided anything to do with cooking. After last years catastrophe of forgetting she was boiling water for some kind of pasta dish her dad wanted to make she almost set the house on fire as the water evaporated away and left the pan on the heat bone dry and slowly burning. After dinner they played little board games and had a few drinkies as her mum liked to call them. As a kid Dorcas' drinkies had usually been juice of some kind. As an adult her drinkies were still juice of some kind with the added component of alcohol. It was just a little tradition they'd always had, then after the drinkies and the games they all just sat in the lounge, reading books, silent in one another's company until the first turned in for the night. Last night Dorcas had been the first to turn in and she'd been the last to rise in the morning.
Preparations were well under way for lunch and after she was more awake the three of them sat around the tree and exchanged gifts. As always Dorcas was a terrible gift giver but she'd gotten help from her parents for one another so not everything was entirely awful. Her parents were of course wonderful about everything they received from her and they got her far too much. She was going to have to do some reorganising when she got home because her place already had everything she needed. Admittedly her parents had gotten her some pretty nifty weaponry and training gear but unlike the majority of her fellow Auror's, she didn't have a training room. She'd opted for a larger guest bedroom instead of a third room which would have been a training room and frankly the cottage she had was already big enough, she didn't want to move for an extra room. She had plenty of training opportunities at work and if anyone happened by then she was more than happy for a sparing session, especially if the other was a complete hotty.
After presents and breakfast Dorcas curled up in a blanket in front of the fireplace and read her book, becoming completely absorbed in the mythical world set out by the author. Her mum set up for lunch, expanding the dining table to fit everyone it would need to and her dad was well on to the lunch. Dorcas wasn't even paying attention to anything going on around her until her mum called her to come clear the paths with her. Dorcas rolled her eyes and slipped her new book mark into the Hobbit and placed her book down on the coffee table. There was no way she was going outside without a bit of added warmth so she ran upstairs to her room and grabbed out an ugly Christmas sweater she'd been given from her parents - as was tradition. After slipping it on and feeling all the extra warmth the magical jumper provided she headed back down stairs, slipping her warm fluffy boots on by the front door. She didn't exactly mind the cold but she was still in her jammies so it wasn't really all that great a time to be going out in the freezing bloody cold with snow all around. Still she had her wand and she went out with her mum and started clearing the path to the house, having a good chat as they went and made their way around the back of the house incase anyone was mental enough to want to take a walk around. Her mum always wanted to be prepared but if it had been up to Dorcas, she would have let people clear their own sodding path if they wanted to go out in the snow. The footpath to the house was really the most effort she wanted to put in but she liked spending the time with her mum.

There was no doubt in Dorcas' mind that whoever this Frenchie bloke was, Tersha was going to have one hell of a time with him. She would definitely be exploring every single inch she could get her hands and more on and then Dorcas would have the joy of hearing all about it. Well not all, but a good portion she expected. Tersha was certainly excited about the prospect of Mr Pretty and Dorcas couldn't blame her. Good looking, good at whatever it was he did (Dorcas presumed), and more than likely riche, rich, rich. Probably not rich enough for Tersha but probably nothing to turn her nose up at! Tersha Laroux certainly had a beautiful ring to it and within six months Tersha would probably have a beautiful ring on her finger if she wanted to pursue the guy. If she wanted to he'd have no chance to resist. Then again if she could find someone a little older and a lot richer, Mr Laroux wouldn't have a hope of landing a catch like Tersh.
Dorcas grinned widely at Tersha and sipped her drink, Dorcas was not above having someone look into Tersha's boss if the dark haired beauty were to report something suspicious. She would have gone herself but that would have looked incredibly suspicious. Looking into your best friend's boss without any solid leads? Not good enough, not unless there was actual dirt on the bastard. Unfortunately being a sleazy wanker was not enough to arrest him on though she'd bloody well have loved to, and a fair few other people she could think of. "Send any real ones into Humbert, he'll dig up literally anything that's there, he's brilliant. Any fake tips can go to Anderson, he's a tit and to see him demoted would just be an excellent start to the new year." She laughed, not giving one ounce of a shit about Anderson. He seemed to be on his last leg anyway and Dorcas was certain he was more of a hindrance to the department than a help. Plus he was a complete perv. Dorcas wouldn't object to anyone with a ild bit of decency ogling at her but the way he did it was just disgusting. Or maybe it was because he had the worlds worst combover.
Christmas was lovely all up. She'd been a pain in the arse as much as she wanted to be and she'd met Dorian's brother which had been interesting. Her mum and dad had a habit of collecting strays it seemed. Tersha with her emotionally distant family. Dorian with his dead family and girl friend, Julian also with his dead family. It was a shame Tersha hadn't been there, no doubt she would have dragged Julian away to one of the spare rooms and stripped him naked for a bit of fun. He didn't seem rich enough to be more than a one time thing for Tersha but he was cute enough for a little fun. Dorcas only wished she'd met him before finding out he was related to Dorian. He was smooth, charming and totally, absolutely, 1000% hiding something. She liked that. "Fertility goddess!?" Dorcas roared with laughter. She and Tersha had very similar views on the children front, neither of them wanted any and quite frankly Dorcas thought the pair of them would be awful being mothers. Not to the same children, all though that sounded like some complicated episode of a TV show her mum enjoyed watching. "And where's the goddess now, in the bin or hidden under a cloth in the basement somewhere?" She grinned, amused at such a gift.

Dorcas grinned and dove straight into the book. She hadn't even poured herself a new glass of wine or even taken a moment to appreciate how little effort Dorian was putting in to looking professional. Instead she wanted to see what was in his photo album. Would there be horrifically embarrassing pictures of him? She bloody well hoped so! Would there be any of Paris? She hoped so. She wasn't sure how much was in her, on the first page was a picture of little Dorian, no older than five and he didn't look all that different from now. A little more care free. She read the description next to it, 'Dorian Humbert, aged 4. First Picture.' Well damn if that wasn't a bit of a downer. Dorcas had known from his parents abduction that he hadn't been their biological son but she had no idea when he'd been adopted. She'd always just assumed he was some kind of rigid baby in a suit and tie, practicing that effortless look of disappointment that he did so well. She had no idea he'd been an older kid and it was kind of surprising he had been adopted. Couples usually wanted to the cute little babies, it wasn't often an older kid got adopted. Dorian was lucky.
"There's something wrong with this picture." She said, looking up at Dorian, a couple of small frown lines across her forehead as her brow dipped, "You're not wearing a suit." She looked back to the picture, smiling and turning the page. Dorcas wasn't big on babies or kids but she knew the basics like how to keep them alive, but she also knew the key points that parents enjoyed. First smile, first steps, first every things really. The Humberts got none of that with Dorian, or at least a very limited amount. She felt as though at some point in this album she was going to come across his first suit and it would be all smooth and perfect like he usually wore during his work and every day life. She wondered how many firsts the Humberts had with their only son and wondered if his biological mother regretted giving him up. Sure he may have been in an orphanage for four years but he had a happy life with the Humberts - with his parents.
The early pages of Dorian were adorable and amusing, Dorcas became aware that her facial features were changing with each glance of a picture and reading the descriptions next to them. Beautifully flourished handwriting that Dorcas was a little jealous of, she'd never be able to pull of something so elegant. She had to space her letters because if she started stringing letters together then there was no way in hell anyone was going to be able to read her scribble, herself included. All up though the Humberts, including Dorian, looked normal and happy. She wondered if this was what it was like for people looking through the albums her mum forced at people. Rodolphus had probably seen more than Dorcas would have approved of, then again she would have approved of absolutely nothing. There were already too many family pictures around the home, her at various ages, her cousins, aunts and uncles, at least not the shit ones. She wondered if Dorian had been forced to endure the torture of her baby albums.
"Agh!!" She closed her eyes tight and reopened them, as she grinned from ear to ear, "It's still there, make it go away!" But instead of turning the page or looking at another picture, she looked closer at the one she was on, "What are you? Peter bloody Pan?!" She laughed, "Well if there was any guy I'd wanna see in tights it's you." She turned the page, throughly amused to find a picture of him in new school robes and a shiny head boy badge on his uniform. "Ugh! Of course you were head boy." She sighed. She'd have never gotten anything like that during her time at Hogwarts. After mouthing off to the Divination Professor and insulting his choice in career she was surprised she wasn't suspended or expelled. It was a shame he was clearly such a dumb arse to follow such an inaccurate and unreliable profession because he was hot as hell. Dark curls, dark, somewhat psychopathic eyes. Hmmmmm, yummy. "How are you not head of the Auror department already?" She asked looking up at him again, "Bet you'd love me calling you 'boss'." She smirked, knowing she'd love it all too much.

The door to his bedroom opened up and Dorcas looked up at Dorian as he walked into the room. She popped her wand away and picked up her wine glass, walking back towards the lounge room where she probably had one glass of red left in the bottle she'd brought over but she wouldn't be shy in raiding Dorian's stash. In exchange he could keep the white she'd brought over. Maybe. Probably. She wasn't sure yet, she might just take it home with her for tomorrow night. She wasn't much of a big drinker but she didn't mind a little every now and then and it had been quite a while since she'd had a quiet night in with the telly and some wine. Maybe she'd find some kind of movie to put on, preferably something goreish. She rather liked the grosser side of the entertainment industry but whenever she had Rodolphus over and forced him to watch something on the couch she chose something far more cheery and sing-songy, just to torture him. She was pretty sure he secretly loved about half the movies she'd made him sit through. He'd probably have still preferred playing with her rather than playing some movie but she quite liked movies. Muggles were really pretty interesting.
"Spider. I flung her across the room on a wine glass about five minutes ago. Figured I should apologise to her and pop her outside." Totally normal. "You look good in that shirt." She said sincerely, no hint of sarcasm present nor any sort of innuendo. It was perhaps a less than natural flow to anyone else's conversation but to Dorcas it made sense. She'd noticed his more casual attire when he walked out, it wasn't exactly something you could miss around Dorian who spent probably 99% of his life in a suit, and the darker shirt wasn't something she'd really seen with any of his suits so that had caught her eye immediately too. He usually favoured lighter shirts and darker suits. Either way it was different and it suited him. Blue was definitely one of his many colours, but when you were that attractive just about anything could suit you well enough.
Dorcas had hold of her wine glass and picked up Dorian's too, she headed towards the lounge and put both the glasses down on the coffee table in the middle, the one that had splashes of wine all over it not all that long ago. She noticed a slight splash on the side closest to her. She had no sodding clue how it had gotten on this side when she'd flung the glass towards Dorian and it had started spilling about half way but low and behold, the smear was there. Dorcas took out her wand again, giving a small swish and the wine was soon gone. She pulled out the draw to make sure the top was clean and it was. Instead of just closing the draw Dorcas noticed a thick book. Her head tilted a little as she put her wand away once more and she leant over, pulling the book out of the draw. "Ooo, photo album." She grinned, sitting down on the sofa behind her with the book in her arms, "May I?" She asked looking to Dorian, a cross between a smile and grin on her lips, if he refused then she'd just have to get him drunker and then have a look when he was less likely to care, only she wouldn't ask permission the next time.

"WHAT?!" Dorcas cried out. She heard Dorian's voice asking a question, something probably condescending as fuck, but she was too far away to hear him. She was out in his little garden, hanging with a little spider she'd named Mrs Fritzle. She had no idea what Dorian was up to but she'd assumed he would have been finished by now. His lounge room was clean once more, his wine untouched, her glass over in the kitchen sink that she'd rinse and use again in a bit and she was even outside in the bloody freezing winter night air with a bloody spider that, while Dorcas figured belonged outside, would probably have preferred the warmth of Dorian's home, but she wasn't going to be letting it back in again, she may have been talking to a spider out on the balcony but she wasn't mental enough to give it a cosy place to rest. She wasn't going to build it some kind of warm nest either. The spider would be fine on it's own.
"I'M TALKING TO MRS FRITZLE!" She shouted once more, certain Dorian would probably think her completely nuts but she didn't really care all too much for his opinion on such matters. She only really cared about his opinion of her as an Auror. In that regard she actually had a great amount of respect for him. She didn't take her job lightly. Sure some people may have thought she wasn't as committed to it as others but she felt she went above and beyond what a lot of others did. She wasn't the sort to sit around, waiting for a lead, she went out and she bloody well found them, even if it involved digging deep, having to learn a bloody new language to get by in a foreign country because she didn't trust and interpreter enough to do a satisfactory job and she wasn't even a natural learner. She bloody well struggled to hold on to information but once in was in her mind and she could call back to it then she was fine, it was there for good. She wasn't great at learning new languages and if she could avoid such things she did but she knew enough to just about get by and she still had the help of an interpreter she was just able to follow the conversation a little better.
Dorcas headed back inside, shutting and locking the door behind her and walking towards the kitchen. She ran her glass under the tap, running a mix of cool and warm water over the glass. After she was done she set it on the counter and pulled out her wand again, drying the glass off with magic. She wasn't done drinking for the night, even if she probably should have been. She wasn't drunk but she wasn't exactly far off it. She liked the little buzz she had going and she was going to see if she could keep it going for a little while longer. If Dorian didn't just tell her he'd had enough for one evening and was retiring to his bedroom. Any other bloke she might have followed in after but he had absolutely no interest in her like that and it sucked. She was awesome! In general and especially in bed, though she really preferred fooling around without the use of a bed.

Did he realise that he was hot when he did that look? He had to, she'd told him a fair few times and yet he still did it. Dorcas was certain that when Dorian clenched his jaw he wanted to look like the sexiest bastard in the room and right now she was pulling it off. Of course she'd rather him pull everything off but that wasn't going to happen. Never the less his silent rage was apparent through his words but he wasn't screaming the place down, he wasn't letting on a whole lot of anything other than disappointment. He was remarkably like her parents when he pulled shit like this. Rage would have been much preferred. She could handle rage, she even took a little joy in it, even with suspects when they got angry, yelled, screamed and did whatever the hell they felt they were entitled to in the small questioning room, she'd enjoy it, she liked getting under peoples skin, she liked irritating them to the point of being unreasonable. She always saw to it that she got what she needed from suspects, during their rage they weren't exactly the most careful on what they were saying, passion did that to people, they forgot what they were supposed to be doing. With people she did actually like and was not interrogating, she loved calming them down again. It was fun having control and manipulating people's behaviours. Disappointment however was not something she'd learnt to work with so she'd learnt to ignore it and not feel even the slightest bit touched by it.
Dorian made his way towards his bedroom but then was back pretty soon, not even having made his way to his private little room that she'd intruded upon plenty of times, not while he was sleeping. At least she was fairly certain she'd never intruded while he was sleeping, she didn't think that she was some kind of sleep walker but who knew what she got up to. Actually Rodolphus would probably know and she figured she'd could ask him the next time he was over, whenever the hell that would be. Her thoughts of Rodolphus were put aside when Dorian spoke. Dorcas smiled and laughed a little then set her wand to work , cleaning up the chaos of wine she'd caused all over Dorian's immaculate home. The chair, the carpet, the coffee table. Some even managed to splash its way up the walls but by the end of it all she was fairly certain she'd cleaned it all and she'd even found what she believed to be the dark shadow on her wine glass. "Well look at you," She said, crouching down and scooping up the little spider that was trying to escape the giant human that was following its movements. "Come on, you belong outside." She slipped her wand away and rotated her left hand as the spider crawled over it. This way and that it explored the back and the palm of her hand, never moving up to the fingers and never going beyond her wrist. She pulled open the door to Dorian's little garden and stepped outside into the cold night air. Bollocks, this was probably going to sober her up a fair bit and she was just getting a rather lovely buzz going on, despite the wine incident. Quietly Dorcas placed the palm of her hand down on the top of the edge and waited for the spider to scamper off of her hand.
