"I WILL SURVIVE!" Dorcas belted out at the top of her lungs. "Ohhhh as long as I know how to love I know I'll stay alive!" The following words were mumbles of not real words. Dorcas only knew one part to the song that was currently playing on the radio and that was it. A muggle number one hit from some point this year and she knew it. How she knew it she had no sodding clue, it wasn't the type of thing she was usually in to when it came to muggle music but it had gotten stuck in her head a while back and she'd hummed and learnt a few words, enough to soothe her mind that had wanted it on repeat all the time. That had been an awful period of time but now she had the benefits of being able to belt out the only part of the Gloria Gaynor song that she knew.
There was no reason for Dorcas’ good mood - and she had to be in a good mood to be singing. She wasn’t only singing though, she was also baking muffins. She wasn’t exactly sure how it had happened but she’d thought she’d actually give it a go. Was it the summer sun? Was it the wine she’d had at lunch? Who the heck even knew but she knew she felt good, great in fact! She was practically walking on sunshine! The knock at her front door came as a little surprise but she didn't mind. Company was good! Whoever it was, she could sit them down and force them to endure her more than like terrible baking skills.
With an almost skip in her step as she made her way from the kitchen towards the middle of the cottage, Dorcas hummed the tune that was stuck in her head. This was far too cheery a mood to be in but something just felt right with the world today. Perhaps she was in the middle of a massive stroke or mental lapse. Perhaps someone had her under a spell. Holy shit, what if she was being controlled with the imperius curse? A chill ran down her spine at the thought of such a thing. It was one of her biggest fears. She'd felt the spell before as part of her training as an Auror and that wasn't the same as this, however just the thought alone was enough to put a damper on her mood. At least it had stopped the humming she'd been doing and so she was able to approach the door silently.
As she looked out the distorted glass she saw a dark figure stood at her stoop. Something felt off. From head to waist at least they were in dark clothing and a cloak. It had to be a cloak. The weather had been too warm and sunny to warrant any kind of coat with a hood and the shape was that of someone hooded. It wasn't yet nightfall although it was certainly the evening which had Dorcas' mind racing. Who would be cloaked and visiting her at this time of day? She lived in a fairly secluded area but it wasn't completely free of passers by, whoever this was could be spotted but they clearly wanted their features to be unseen. Order. Death Eater. Work. Any of those three were most plausible of all the possibilities, but none actually seemed likely in her mind. Rodolphus just let himself in. Ministry folks weren't usually hooded. Death eaters ... well they weren't exactly known for knocking on your door and asking for an invite to torture and slaughter you so she supposed most likely was someone from the Order. She supposed there was only one way to actually find out.
With her left hand on the door Dorcas felt over her back pocket where her wand sat, ready for use. Part of her was telling herself that she was overreacting, she wouldn't need her wand, but the rest of her mind was telling her that she was just being optimistic, that she always had to be prepared. Pulling the handle of the door with her left hand, Dorcas gave it enough pull to swing open. Before she even got a chance to see who was on the other side of her door she pulled her left arm back, her left foot sliding underneath her to take a strong stance against whatever was awaiting her on the other side of the door. Whatever was going to happen she just hoped her damn muffins weren't going to burn in the over.

Dorcas shifted in Rodolphus' arm as his chest moved closer towards her. He reached around his back as she moved herself away to avoid having her face smushed into his chest. She didn't mind his affectionate nature much these days. She still had an urge to just get up and walk away but that was because she wasn't usually the snuggly kind. Usually. There were times when she'd rather liked being held by Rodolphus. Usually when she was unwell or around mid-February when the world was just entirely shite for some reason, but mostly she preferred to not be held, she much liked her own space but he seemed to want to hold her, she had no idea why, he was just that bit more sentimental than she was, she supposed. Whenever they spent the entire night together he always had his arm around her or over her. If she could go back to when they first started screwing around and tell herself that this was the sort of relationship they'd have well then forget about not believing it, Dorcas would have straight up hung herself from the whomping willow. She'd have killed herself rather than risked this kind of thing being for real. She'd been a tad dramatic in her school days. Honestly, it would have been one of the worst things ever to have expected back then but now, it wasn't so bad. She could put up with him. Who was she trying to kid? Beyond the sex she actually enjoyed him. Sure he had his flaws; like killing innocent people and hating muggles for no reason at all, buying in to that whole superiority thing that was clearly dragonshit, okay, so there were a lot of flaws, but she still didn't mind that she was having to cosy on up to him to be useful to the Order, it was really just an excuse to keep doing this.
Rodolphus pulled something out from under his arse and tossed it aside having made some comment about being so fuckable or something. She wasn't really paying attention, instead she had small little thoughts on where and how she wanted this conversation to go. She didn't like the idea of asking something of Rodolphus, even in a round about way, but it had to be done. She was of course risking the possibility that Rodolphus would catch on to what she was up to, but over the course of the months that she'd been tasked with finding a way in to the Death Eaters, and using Rodolphus for just that, she hoped to have laid some decent groundwork that wanting to be in the Death Eaters wasn't that far fetched. They'd never spoken about their political views before she'd started complaining about the odd muggleborn at work, eventually working over the course of a couple of weeks to using the loathsome term 'Mudblood'. It was not a term that Dorcas was fond of but there was a certain crowd that used it and to fit in with them, Dorcas would require the use of such a word although thankfully she was certain it wouldn't be required often. "Everything from my teeth to my garden wants to be a pain in your arse." She informed him with a playful little smile as she ran her hand absentmindedly up and down his left forearm, an action that had become second nature ever since she'd discovered his dark mark and knowing that Albus wanted her in with the Death Eaters. It was surprisingly easy to fall into the act of supremacist arsehole and it was about time she took the leap to try and become one officially. Oh Merlin that mark was going to look hideous against her beautiful skin but she supposed they all had to make sacrifices in this time of war. "Enquiring minds would like to know," she said, looking up at Rodolphus, butt naked in the garden seemed just a good a place as any for this conversation, "How would one go about sporting a mark like that?" She asked, looking to his dark mark, her hand stroking over it before she looked back up to Rodolphus, "Asking for a friend." She added playfully, smirking a little and convincing herself this was the perfect time to do this.

The idea of some random stranger, claiming to be Ariel's long lost uncle, being at their Christmas wasn't something Dorcas was all that comfortable with, and having met Julian there just seemed to be something ... slimy about him. Dorcas knew that could completely be in her imagination because she was against this Julian fella turning up in Ariel's life when he couldn't even be bother being a stable presence in his sister's life, but he expected to be around for Ariel? Dorcas doubted it. She didn't know a whole lot about Julian but what she did know was enough to make her unsure of him to the point that if he stepped one toe out of line, she'd take great pleasure in hexing his arse into next week. Dorian probably wouldn't approve but then Dorcas often thought he was too soft for his own good. He'd failed in protecting Paris and if Julian had any notions of harming Ariel or stealing her away from then Dorcas wouldn't fail to act whereas she believed Dorian would give Julian many benefits of the doubt, something Dorcas was not willing to do. Julian would have to earn trust, a few cute stories from River were not enough for Dorcas to like him on any level.
The doorbell rang and Dorcas went straight for it, leaving her parents to finish getting Christmas lunch ready. Dorian and Julian were in the lounge where she'd just left them and with a quick glance in she spied that Julian was still Ariel-less. Perfect because at the door would be none other than baby-hungry Geralina who absolutely adored little Ariel. The dark haired beauty didn't have any children of her own but Dorcas could tell she wanted a brood of her own. She would make a great mother some day, she just had to find a nice guy to settle down with because she wasn't really the sort to go out and get knocked up by some random bloke, though getting knocked up by some rando-bloke would be a damn sight better than putting up with her dub-arse ex another day longer. Why she and Tristan weren't up for making it work again made no sense, those two were adorable and needed to date again and have a cute little family. Hell Dorcas would be up for babysitting every now and then for the two of them.
Reaching the door, Dorcas pulled it open knowing who would be on the other side. She took a step back to give the new arrival the space she would need to enter, plus it would ensure Dorcas wouldn't get knocked over when she told Geralina that Ariel was only a few steps away. Dorcas smiled at the wintery delight that was Geralina Drake. She was a vision as always. The snow around made her skin appear to be glowing, shining bright which only went ahead and made her eyes look all the more brilliantly blue. If they hadn't been friends for so long Dorcas would definitely had some kind of a crush on the Hogwarts librarian, as it was Dorcas had no such feelings, she just thought Geralina was crazy good looking. "Merry Christmas," Dorcas didn't bother stopping for long winded pleasantries, she knew exactly where Geralina's mind would be, "Ariel's just in the lounge." She smiled, gladly offering up that information, wondering if Geralina was going to bother taking off her coat first or if she'd forget all about it and head straight in to see little Ariel on her first Christmas. Ariel certainly was not short on people who loved her.

With the scraping of the chair legs against the floor of the kitchen, Dorcas knew there were a few possibilities of what Rodolphus was up to, all of which involved his dick in one way or another. She didn't mind in the slightest. She grabbed a glass from the draining rack, held it under the tap and turned on the cold water. Once she was done filling her glass she turned the tap off and took a mouthful, clearing her mouth of any of the milk and cereal she'd just consumed. Once she was done with the water, after another mouthful, Dorcas set the glass down next to the sink and turned about casually, acting as though the sight of Rodolphus leant back in one of her dining chairs with himself exposed to her was completely normal - which in a way it kind of was. Of all his options she hadn't really expected this. If it had been any other guy then Dorcas would have kicked their arse out of the house. But because it was Rodolphus and because he had that look about him, Dorcas knew this would be anything but boring, though if he wanted her on her knees in front of him ... well she wasn't the sort to give in easily to what he wanted. Not without a little play at least.
Walking towards Rodolphus, Dorcas didn't glance down, she didn't need to. She was busy watching his face, trying to figure out just what kind of evening she was in for. He was't looking to burn off extra energy, he wasn't on a high from having killed some poor, unfortunate soul or he would have had her by now. This evening was what Dorcas could consider calm for the two of them, however that did not mean boring, not even in the slightest. So many people we boring and unadventurous when it came to all things sexual, but that had never been an issue with Rodolphus, it was the only reason she didn't actual mind him seeking her out time and time and time again. And it was always him seeking her though she had come to expect him and even somewhat demand his presence. Usually with food. "Couldn't wait until we got upstairs?" It was a rhetorical question as she stopped just in front of him, within his reach. The bedroom wasn't really used all that often yet it was the room that got destroyed the most when they did use it. Half the time on their way to a bedroom, they'd end up just screwing within the vicinity of the stairs, either on them, at the bottom or at the top somewhere. They weren’t really all that traditional a pair and she was glad of that. She couldn’t imagine being sexually frigid all the time with the same person over and over. Sure she liked something a little different or slow paced every now and then, but the idea of that being every sexual encounter was insane.

After fiddling about in the perfectly organised nappy bag for a bit, Dorcas looked up to see Dorian and Ariel entering the room. "Not a problem." She smiled, closing the nappy bag up, full intending on replacing all the spare clothes in there next time she was over, getting the baby girl something a bit more pleasing. Of course what was in the nappy bag was absolutely nothing compared to the horrors that Dorian had Ariel dressed in today. Dorcas was going to have to take pictures of that outfit. Purple checker was one thing, the whole fancy little collar was another and Dorcas couldn't help but want to destroy that little outfit somehow. Perhaps she'd accidentally 'lose' it while they were out and needing to change Ariel's clothes. Not that Ariel would make it that far. She wasn't leaving the building dressed in that. Dorcas had spied a pink and white little number in the bag, she'd change her into that before leaving. "Oh, you know," She said with a shrug, turning around and shutting the door to the cloak closet, "Just figured Ariel could do with a little girl time. Go shopping, have a play at the park, little lunch." It all sounded quite sweet and relatively straight forward. And it was. Dorcas had no intentions of complicating things.
"If you don't mind of course." She added on, walking back to the table and straightening out the small crease she'd left in the top of the nappy bag. She couldn't see Dorian minding. She pretty much demanded quite a lot of him and she was yet to be faced with a firm 'no' with regards to anything. She'd dragged him out to the Ministers spring gala thing a couple of weeks ago and he hadn't complained. Looking at the social side of their relationship Dorcas knew that as long as it was within some kind of reason, she could get pretty much whatever she wanted out of Dorian. Apart from sex. There seemed to be no way of breaking down that barrier and easing the bluest of balls known to man. Even at work she didn't really have to deal with him but any sort of 'no' from him there was more an 'err on the side of caution' than a straight up refusal. After all it wasn't like he was her boss or anything but she did value his opinion immensely. He was one of the best after all and well in need of a promotion to a position that actually mattered. Heading the Auror Trainee department or whatever he did, seemed like glorified baby sitting to Dorcas and although Dorian was passing on his knowledge, he was much better off sharing it with the whole department as head. Plus it would see him behind a desk a little more often which was a safer place for him now he was a dad and all.

Mid-stream and things got crazy. The door burst open and the first thing Dorcas thought was how she wasn't ready for an attack on the loo. Of all the places to get attacked by someone the toilet was not a place she'd have thought of and as such her wand was not in hand, Merlin only knew what she might have done to the flash of blonde and red that was suddenly taking up her entire vision. "Ocupado mi amigo!" She called out loudly, although the blonde was right in front of her, there was no need for yelling and by the time she was done with her sentence she was finished and reaching for the loo roll. "Gotta admit, this isn't my first time going to the loo with an audience." Not that there'd ever been any weird stuff. When Dorcas was drinking - which usually really wasn't all that often - she didn't really have what one might call "boundaries". Plus who even cared? Everyone had seen someone pee before so what was the big deal!?
Grabbing some toilet roll and cleaning herself up Dorcas stood and flushed the toilet, squeezing past the blonde and waddling out of the cubical with her knickers around her ankles and her dress hiked up. She bent down, moving enough out the way of the door incase the blonde wanted to shut the door, and pulled her knickers up. That was the easy part, after that, and a few stares that Dorcas was certain were aimed at her tits because they looked absolutely smashing in the dress, she stood upright and started trying to push, wiggle and shimmy her dress back down, getting it caught on her backside. Without even realising her plump arse was on display in her knickers she moved to the sink and washed her hands, soaping them up and looking around for blokey. Eh. She could do without him tonight. She kind of wondered what Rodolphus was up to, he'd be more fun anyway. She definitely needed to send him an owl. Or a howler. Was it too late to send a howler? If so then good, she would definitely send one of those. Oh, but she was out drinking with Tersha so they'd probably just end up back at Tersha's place or her own. She supposed she could always get Rodolphus to come pick her up from Tersha's and apparate her home. Stupid Dolphus getting in her head on a girls night out. She'd have to torture him for that somehow. Though she had no idea how and undoubtedly she would forget by the next time she saw him anyway.

There was absolutely no reason at all not to trust Julian. He was River's brother, she'd spoken of him ever so fondly and yet Dorcas didn't like or trust the smarmy looking git. He'd not done anything as of yet and he seemed to get on well enough with Dorian, although Dorcas could feel how awkward and stale their conversation was running. She arched a brow as Julian sat himself down, just as Dorian mentioned it would be good to see Geralina again. Next Dorcas heard her mum calling out to her with that bloody awful nickname that Dorcas just loathed. She smothered Ariel's little cheek with some kisses and rather than handing her over to Julian, she decided she'd let Dorian make that call on whether or not to trust his estranged half-brother. For a moment Dorcas wondered if Julian was who he said he was, but she supposed Dorian would have looked into absolutely every possible angle of this man and decided that yes, he was who he said he was. Shame. With that smug face it would have been fun to rough it up a little ... or a lot. "Nanna Em needs me, Fish Face." She said, gently squeezing Ariels cherub cheeks together before she passed Ariel on over to Dorian then left the room.
Once through the little hall and into the dining room she spotted her mum setting up the table and her dad performing magic there was no way in hell she'd ever be able to pull off. Flying knives, plating meat and all that was just too much for Dorcas. She'd probably accidentally kill someone mixing magic with knives. She was far better with knives hand on, although she was good at slashing rather than slicing thin meat. She had no reason to need to slice meat. If she was using her knives then she wasn't carving a roast, she was defending and hacking! Her mum asked her to get the drinks ready and her dad directed her to the fridge. Much like a lot of the house the fridge was magically enlarged to hold more than you'd think. She pulled out some pitchers and wine, setting them on a clear space on the kitchen counter. As he had with food, her dad had gone to all kinds of extremes with the drinks, juices, water, sparkling water, various wines that Dorcas really only knew as 'white' despite their names being printed on the labels.

Whether Rupert was still alive or not Dorcas wasn't sure. He was taken by Death Eaters and once they had the information they required from him then he'd probably be slaughtered and left in some ditch somewhere, no one really caring where he was left, just so long as he was disposed of. If they wanted to send him as a message then something extravagant or obvious would be done with his corpse, it would all depend on what kind of inspiration struck the particular Death Eater in charge of getting rid of the trash. Not that Dorcas personally viewed Rupert as trash, but he was a supporter of muggle rights and to Death Eaters that instantly made him trash. Just like being a Death Eater made you trash in Dorcas' eyes. Rodolphus included. But despite him being absolute garbage, he was a fun time and she'd only recently learnt that he actually was a Death Eater, before that it had been purely speculation. Technically. Okay so she'd known, she'd just never had definitive proof until a little while ago when he'd woken her by leaving in the middle of the night. She usually noticed him moving about, could hear him trying to get dressed as silently as he could and then leave, thinking she was asleep the whole time, but she needed to see his dark mark, she had to know for absolute certain that he was a Death Eater. And then she had to utilise that information.
With a small little smirk, Dorcas said nothing as Rodolphus looked at her, instead she raised her spoonful of cereal and put it in her mouth, not breaking eye contact with Rodolphus until she was a few chews in, then she looked to her bowl and stuck her spoon back in amongst the cereal as she carried on eating, readying her next and final little mouthful. Finishing her mouthful, or just about, she shrugged her shoulders. "Well whatever his fate he's only gone and brought it on himself." She said as though it was a matter of fact, her eyebrows raised although she portrayed no surprise. She put her final mouthful in her mouth and then dropped the spoon into the bowl as she stood, pushing the chair out with the back of her legs. She chewed as she took the bowl to the sink and put it down in the bowl. She'd deal with the mess of her cooking later because if she kept Rodolphus waiting too long she'd just end up having to change her bedsheets, after throwing them in his face of course.

Holding herself together and refusing to laugh at poor Dorian's predicament, Dorcas watched as Tersha sat down beside him. Miss Muffet and her Spider. Of course in this delightful situation Dorian was Miss Muffet and Tersha the spider. She wondered, or rather she hoped, that Dorian would scream and run the hell away, much like the fabled Miss Muffet, but of course he didn't, he was far too composed and gentlemanly to do something like that. Shame, it would have made for quite the entertaining evening, and as if Tersha leaning across him and whispering to Dorcas about some hottie wasn't enough, he then had the awkward small talk of place card font that made Dorcas smirk and then the arrival of his brother and little baby intern opposite him. Oh Merlin, it was almost as if Tersha had planned the seating arrangements herself, purely to get under Dorian's skin! A quick glance at the odd couple and over to the golden toilet brush she'd seen when she and Dorian had first arrived and the hottie she hadn't even noticed earlier. Perhaps he'd ditched the girl, or maybe she'd sought him out. Whatever the situation he was most certainly a hottie, one she'd spotted a couple of times before. She didn't allow her glance to linger on him though, she carried on looking about the table, noticing Evie who also happened to be from the ministry and then looked to Tersha.
Without much thought or consideration for Dorian, Dorcas leant over Dorian's lap as he spoked to his brother and little baby intern once they were seated. "Tersh!" She hissed in a whisper as she slipped her right hand around Dorian's back leaning in towards him while her left hand slid over the top of his left thigh, all the better for leaning. In fairness she attempted to keep her head a little low so as not to completely interrupt Dorian's undoubtedly thrilling conversation with his brother. "Tersh! That's the nightclub hottie!" She said, keeping it so only she a Tersha could actually stand a chance of hearing what was said ... and Dorian of course, but Dorcas was sure he wouldn't mind a little gossip being passed between friends literally right on his lap! Well perhaps he would mind but Dorcas was certain he wouldn't create some kind of scene, it wasn't really his thing. Then again his thing seemed to be losing loved ones so she hoped whatever his thing was didn't happen tonight. She was rather attached to all his loved ones and would rather nothing happen to any of them. "Why the hell is he sat with a golden toilet brush? Or is she some kind of lamp shade? Did I miss some kind of fashion memo?" She was certainly something alright, a right 'look at me' kind of thing. She didn't fit in with the Spring theme but rather stood out like some kind of ugly toe thumb. Perhaps the dress would have been nicer in a different setting, perhaps the dress was nice and Dorcas just lacked the appreciation for it. It would probably have worked better in black and without the sparkles, or the whole thing really.

Oh by all that was magical it was the most hilarious sight Dorcas had ever seen! Admittedly she was quite a few drinks in and that last one had been bloody strong so perhaps not the most hilarious thing she'd ever seen but most definitely far up there. Dorcas ignored Tersha's command to stop laughing but she did reign herself in a little, after all, Tersha was her best friend, she couldn't spend the whole entire night laughing her arse off at her friends misfortune or very reasonable mistake .... reasonable mistake if you were pissed enough, which Tersha just about was, Dorcas thought, the floaty drink starting to really hit her head and get her a little more than tipsy now! Dorcas was pulled on a little and her balance wavered for a moment as Tersha corrected herself a little and then finally stood up on her own two feet, the bloke having released the spell. Naturally Tersha attempted to shoo Dorcas away and trotted off after the kindly stranger. Dorcas looked the bloke over, taking in exactly what he looked like from head to toe. She'd already gotten a glimpse of his wand so if it came down to having to ID the guy, she was fairly confident she could, especially in this place, and a bloke like him being seen with a woman like Tersh, well it was noticeable.
Taking her leave from the bar, Dorcas made her way to the ladies loos, forgetting which one her bloke of the evening would be in, not that it mattered too much, she needed a whizz. She let herself in to the toilet stall, shutting the door behind her but forgetting to lock it as she wrestled with pulling her dress up over her thighs and then her knickers down around her ankles. That little lacy black pair were all she had, as in she only owned little lacy black pairs, she didn't own just the one set of underwear, but the way Rodolphus had gone about stealing them it had been a wonder she'd ever had any when she was in he final years of school. They were comfy and cute, she knew Tersha was more the sexy type, thongs and whatever but Dorcas, preferably, needed something that didn't ride up her arse and distract her too much and over the years she'd just never bothered to change. It was a good thing, why try anything else? It was only underwear. Really nice underwear. Sat on the toilet, not really paying attention to anything going on, Dorcas was feeling the edge of her knickers, deciding she still very much liked them and maybe tonight, if blokey was around for a fun time, she'd slip this particular pair into his back pocket for his girl to find, just for shits and giggles.

Naturally Rodolphus sat his are down on her lap and Dorcas braced herself as his weight came down upon her lap. Leaning back in her seat a little she swatted the side of his thigh playfully as he complained about her chairs whilst wiggling his arse on her, making it feel bonier than it actually was, but she didn't mind his terrifying weight on her all that much, she was pretty used to it, though not exactly from this angle. If he had stayed too long she would have bitten in to him, as it was he was smart enough to move on to another seat before she took a chunk out of his ribs or arm leaving her to get stuck in to her cereal without further hesitation. Though he did smell good. Damned good. Almost good enough to make her forget about her cereal. Almost. There wasn't much that would make her forget about food when she was hungry but if anyone stood a chance it probably would have been Rodolphus.
Three million galleons didn't even sound real yet Rodolphus seemed to be shrugging it off as though it was no big deal. Dorcas knew he was rich, just how rich he was she had no idea, but if that amount of money was nothing to him then she kind of didn't want to hazard a guess at just how much exactly he had. With three million she could set herself and her loved ones up with a very comfortable lifestyle but it was just easier not to think about it. She was more than happy with what she had and no amount of money would change that. Though she would have been able to afford more shoes and boots. That was something Dorcas actually didn't mind shopping for. Clothes on the other hand or just about anything else made her skin crawl.
Dorcas carried on with her cereal, not bothering to comment on how much Rodolphus had supposedly made today and not wanting to think much more on it, instead she found herself thinking about her garden and how it was probably about time she let Rodolphus' house elf take care of it or something. Her dad mentioned something about it needing pruning before spring really got going so she guessed she'd take his advice. She wasn't much of a gardener but she was stopped by Rodolphus mentioning Rupert Ainsley. Dorcas hadn't had much to do with him ever, but she had known of him and heard of what happened with him, or more what had happened to his family. He himself was missing. "Dead already, is he? Or is that just a bit of wishful thinking?" She smirked, looking from the cupboard she'd been staring at without realising to Rodolphus. Dorcas wasn't bothered one way or another. Had she not been tasked by Dumbledore with finding a way in to the Death Eater ranks then of course she could have been pissed at the news, but as it was she found it easier to just not feel anything about it. It was the easiest and safest way for her to play her part. Plus deceiving Rodolphus like this was kind of fun although it was interesting to see him opening up more and more to her as she let slip a little comment here and there about annoying muggle-lovers or enjoying him subtly showing off his dark mark to get a reaction out of her. It was surprisingly easy to fall into the role she was needed for, perhaps she really was the best for the job and not just because she had a convenient 'in' that she could exploit.

His huffing and puffing was like music to her ears. She smirked a little as she got herself ready, feeling him come up behind her as she reached for a bowl was nice and he got himself a glass, one she wouldn't typically use. She tended not to drink his fancy drinks nor use his specific glasses for specific drinks, if she fancied a drink she'd grab herself whatever glass was closest and clean, pour a drink then drink it. She didn't do this whole savouring thing that he did, she drank it down regardless of how it was meant to be enjoyed. She preferred doing things her own way and once she was done getting her cereal ready she made her way to the kitchen table and sat down in the chair he pulled out for himself, because why would she go to the effort of pulling herself out a chair while he'd pulled one out? "Such a gentleman." She said in a faux sweet voice. There was absolutely nothing sweet about her and she just enjoyed being a pain in his arse, even as he looked over the newspaper, probably hoping to see some of his own handy work mentioned. She wonder for a moment if she could get him to open up, share just a little about what it was he did. She'd already tracked some of his behaviours but she was sure he had at least a few more victims than what she knew of and certainly more than had ever been reported to the likes of the Daily Prophet.
Twisting her hips she slipped her legs in under the table and pulled up a spoonful of cereal, putting it in her mouth and scooting the pulled out chair she'd plonked her arse on, in under the table with a couple of scooches. "Anyfink intuuretin'?" She asked, quirking up her right brow, eyes scanning the little of the newspaper that she could see. She wondered just what exactly he might point out. There were new deaths or disappearances every day. News of corruption was hardly new either. The daily Prophet, once somewhat reliable, seemed less reliable than ever which was probably down to some of Rodolphus' pals, paid off or threatened. Killed and replaced was another option. A very likely option. At least there was no need to worry about Tersha, not unless she mouthed off to the wrong person, but she was pureblooded and socialised in those circles Rodolphus was always a part of, something Dorcas did not envy in the slightest.

Next month?! Well of course he would be. She was damned perfection and anyone would be bloody psychopathic to pass up an opportunity with her. She could either go now or she could enjoy her night with Tersha. Tersha would stick around or she'd find her own hotty for the night, but Dorcas didn't much fancy risking Tersha picking a bloke out of this crowd, not in her state. Not that she was too far gone but she could possibly make a regretful decision based on the talent here tonight. None of them were rich enough for Tersha's tastes either. Dorcas wasn't great at telling exactly who was rich and who wasn't, but she'd picked up a few tell tale signs over the years with Tersha whispering in her ear, pointing out shoes, jackets, pants and whatever else. Of course there were a few posers but Tersha was able to pick them out and dismiss them, unless they were hot enough for a roll in the hay regardless of wealth, after all she had her own wealth but Tersha could always do with more!
The shoe detangling the was interesting to say the least. Dorcas was grinning right up until concern shot across her face. Tersha fell but there was no bag, she didn't land on the ground, Tersha, in fact, was floating. Although not because of the drink as it transpired. A man caught Dorcas' attention, his wand pointed at her best friend and then she exploded. With a large roar of laugher and a couple of hard thigh slaps Dorcas was doubled over at the sight of her floating best friend. "Oh Morgana's tits," She laughed, "Tersh. Tersh!" She called, laughing still at the events of the evening. She reached her hand out and grabbing Tersha by the wrist of her right arm. "Get your backside up before I see any more of the lack of knickers you're wearing." Not that Dorcas had really got a glimpse of what Tersha was wearing over her arse but if she stayed as she was any longer then some creep was probably going to try and take a peek, if they hadn't already, and Dorcas wasn't sure she had the balancing capabilities to stay upright while she kicked some sicko's arse across the bar but she'd damn well try, even if it meant falling over and landing herself with a concussion because that's what best friends were for - risking their own mental capabilities if some creep perved on their best mate.

Okay, so her skills were about as good as Rodolphus' and she smirked at his little dig. The smart arse thought he was funny and Dorcas knew he had a point but she'd be damned before she ever admitted that to him. She wasn't a great cook, she wasn't all that great at cleaning. It was lucky she never wanted to get married and become a house wife because she would well and truly suck at such a thing. She wasn't cut out for that kind of lifestyle and she wasn't cut out for the type of lifestyle Rodolphus had in mind either. Giving her a house elf or trying to get her a cook was so not something she could ever live with. The idea of cooking lessons was actually pretty good but because it was a gift from him at a time other than her birthday or Christmas, she'd refused to even consider the notion. Still it was a good idea and she really needed to learn to cook more than cereal. Not that she tried actually cooking it, she wasn't that far detached from the culinary world, she still had some senses when it came to preparing food, although anything that involved heat was a bit hit and miss.
The idea of her neighbours hearing her screams was exciting. Of course it would require some kind of spell to make her loud enough in reality because her neighbours weren't exactly close. That was what she'd loved about her little cottage. Not that she thought of it as little, but Rodolphus liked to point out how puny it was, even going so far as to compare it to Aurora's play house, stating it was barely bigger than that. Well at least it was bigger than that and it was bigger than her parents place, although Dorcas had never minded growing up in a smaller home. She'd visited her grandparents on her dads side a few times over the many years as they hoped to pull him back towards their ways but to no luck, but Dorcas had hated how unhomely it had felt. They had money and not a lot else. They'd tried disowning both their children only to end up with no one. Once they became grandparents they seemed to soften up but Dorcas' dad had always said it was an act and Dorcas completely trusted her father's judgements when it came to his own parents.
Dorcas started heading towards the fridge, pulling her pants up as she went. She didn't want Rodolphus to enjoy the view too much or she knew what would happen. He'd see himself to her bed and leave a wet patch on her sheets. Possibly even her pillow if he felt like being a big enough dickhead, which was entirely possible while she was choosing food over him and his best friend. "You want some?" She didn't care if he wanted some or not, he wouldn't eat her crap unless he had to and he'd probably already had himself something fancy and extravagant this evening. She wasn't even sure why she offered him something, she didn't usually but she went about the kitchen gathering what she needed and making herself a bowl of cereal, thinking next time she'd skip the attempt at cooking and just jump straight to the cereal so they'd be fooling around a heck of a lot quicker.

It was pointless. Trying to get Rodolphus to do anything other than screw her senseless when he was horny just wasn't going to work out. He had her arse exposed in her kitchen and although she'd never admit it, she really quite liked it. Not that she needed to admit it, he knew she enjoyed it as much as she did. After so long together it was kind of hard not to admit that they knew one another relatively well, or at least as well as they could with the minimum amount of conversation about real world issues that they held, and thank Merlin they didn't hold little discussions around their political views or she'd never be able to start complaining about muggle borns here and there to him without raising suspicions. She knew he'd always thought of her as a bloodtraitor but she could easily claim that it was only because of her parents status in the wizarding world, that she actually held rather different views if he'd ever bothered to ask. She didn't have many friends but the ones she did have were pureblooded. It was sheer coincidence but it played in her favour, that was for sure. The only one she could think of that she'd spent any time with that wasn't pureblooded was Tristan.
The idea of being treated like a queen in any way wasn't something that was all that appealing to Dorcas, as Rodolphus knew all too well. She wasn't used to being spoilt and she didn't like it. It could be considered somewhat nice on occasions but on the whole it wasn't for her. Letting a house elf prepare a meal for her wasn't appealing, she'd rather just stick with a bowl of cereal hat some grubby looking creature preparing her something she wouldn't be able to pronounce. "But it's so fun to watch you struggle at the most basic of tasks." Rodolphus didn't like failing he wasn't used to it and he wasn't used to not getting his own way. He could pay off or intimidate just about anyone around him. She knew he could overpower her if she was without her wand - heck! The stupid arse had killed her just because he'd been so randy! But that wouldn't ever stop her from telling him 'no' when she wanted, even if, like right now, she did fancy fooling around with him a little. He'd get what he wanted eventually. She'd get what she wanted too, but for now she needed something to eat and his dick could come second.
