Dorian had Ariel all snuggled up and looked over in no time. He was probably checking her up close for absolutely any little scrape, bump, or bruise that he could find but Dorcas wasn't totally careless, she knew how to look after a baby. Sort of. She was capable of looking after Ariel at least and of course the little angel hadn't been the slightest of trouble. The girl didn't even know the meaning of the word, something Dorcas was certainly going to have to change. She was far too sweet and innocent. River would probably be exceedingly proud but the baby needed a little sassy something. Was it too early to teach these sorts of things? Could you even teach those kinds of things? Dorcas had a feeling that you were either born with it or you weren't and right now Ariel didn't seem to be but she was still young. She had time to grow into it. If she was anything like her mother she'd be fantastic at throwing around a little cheeky attitude.
"As if you don't already know the answer to that one." She smirked a little, her eyes fixed on Ariel as she extended her hand to the little cherubs chubby cheeks and giving her right one a little jiggle. "Fed, played, and all shopped out." Dorcas said, Ariel grabbing at Dorcas' finger, causing the Auror to smile, "Nappy all fresh, butt all powdered, nose all booped." She grinned, pretending to pull her finger away from Ariel who had a pretty firm grip on it and was trying to shove it into her mouth. Yeah right. Dorcas had fallen for that cute little act before and been bitten. Those little gnashers were sharp! "I'll see you guys tomorrow!" She said, talking in a voice she most certainly did not use around many people, making herself more playful for Ariel, "Yes I will!" She kissed Ariel's chubby little cheek and reluctantly pulled her finger from the little one's grasp. "Bye Dor, by Fish-face." She turned about and grabbed her bag, sliding the strap over her shoulder and making her way out, leaving Dorian with the pram, nappy bag and shopping to sort through because she knew if she did any of it, he'd only consider it done wrong and re-arrange it all himself. Dorcas just felt it was easier to let him get on with it himself and besides, if she stayed any longer that was a decent chance she'd have gone down for a nap with Ariel. Being girly was exhausting.

Dorcas waited patiently at the bottom of the stairs. The creaking of the springs in her lush mattress had stopped and yet there was no sound of Aurora heading down the landing and descending the stairs. Actually things were rather quite and Dorcas hesitated. She didn't want to be roped in to a game of hide-and-seek with the Lestrange girl. She wanted to just relax, spend her time stuffing herself with wine and chocolate. She was intending on a quiet weekend, nice and relaxed - hell, she was even going to lay off on annoying Dorian this weekend! "Aurora! Come down now, it's time to go home." There was still no response and Dorcas sighed. She was going to have to drag the brat out of her home at this rate and once Aurora was out she wanted to set Rodolphus' arse on fire. He wanted to complain about a couple of boils? Well they could be the least of his sodding worries. "Aurora! Now!" She called as stepped onto the first stair. "Rodolphus, come get your kid." She called towards the kitchen before heading up the stairs. Perhaps if she and Rodolphus was up there, Aurora would stop all this larking around.
At the top of the stairs Dorcas' training kicked in. She listened out for the small child and headed for her bedroom. She'd not heard Aurora leave the main bedroom so presumed she was still in there, somewhere. As she reached the door she saw it was ajar and so pushed it gently. "Aurora?" She said softly. "Where are you, kiddo?" The sheets on the bed were crumpled up, the pillows askew and the duvet was half on the floor. Aurora had certainly been having fun while she'd been up here but it was time for her to head home and never, ever return.

Just as she was starting to cheer up the stupid sod had to keep trying to piss her off with his shitty little attitude. Was she the one that was unable to control his kid? Was she the one that brought said kid to her place? No! So why the hell was he the one that was pissed off? He had no fucking rights to be mad at her and she stood up tall, or at least as tall as she could stand, "So put a fucking bag over your face and summon an elf to get her. Stop being a whiny little fuck and get the hell out already." She turned her back on him and walked away from the kitchen, heading through her little work space and to the entrance where she stood at the bottom of the stairs. "Aurora!" She called up. "It's time to leave, kiddo." Dorcas did not expect getting the six year old to leave would be easy business but she hoped she'd think of something before the kids came down. She was typically better at thinking when she needed to rather than planning ahead but who knew what she'd come up with for Aurora. Her mind was pretty blank right now and so she figured she'd either think of something or she was totally screwed. Awesome.

It was amusing to watch Rodolphus struggle. He was such a pampered little prince and it showed in the way he acted and the way he treated people. Dorcas liked to tell him 'no' and actually mean it from time to time. He usually went through the five stages of grief. He'd deny her rejection and try again until he got the message. Then he'd get frustrated at her for putting his foot down. She rather enjoyed when he tried bargaining with her, trying to trade off a bit of fun and pleasure and let her get back to whatever she was doing after. He even promised to be quick which quite frankly he never was. Dorcas was fairly certain that Rodolphus had zero understanding of the word 'quick'. Occasionally she'd give in at the bargaining stage, it could be worth her while from time to time but more often than not she'd let him get mopey about not having his play thing for the night and he'd accept that and either hang around, irritating her, or he'd go off to find some other play mate for the evening. Either way it was fun to be one of the only people in his life that could tell him 'no', she really had no idea why so many were terrified of him. He was a tit.
"Eh," She said shrugging her shoulders, "Not really. Pretty much just handed himself over once he saw me. Guy was practically in awe of me. I'm incredible, don't you know?" Well the truth was the guy was dumb. Seriously dumb. He didn't have his wand on him and he pretty much just handed himself over. He was older now and not as spry as he had once been. He couldn't take her on in a fight, not when she had her wand pointed at him and he had nothing, including no way of escape. "Now if you've stopped overreacting like a little bitch it's time take your daughter absolutely anywhere but here." They could talk about what he'd said before at another time. He knew she was home so no doubt he'd be around pestering her for some fun or at least giving her news on this supposed recommendation.

Dorcas continued to ignore the small child that wanted to play. It wasn't that she didn't want to acknowledge Aurora - oh wait, it was. She didn't want to acknowledge her existence in this cottage or in her life because that was opening a can of shit and pouring it all over her life. Life was shit enough already. Rodolphus was to keep Aurora away from Dorcas. It was an unspoken agreement that needed even more enforcing since Bellatrix had been killed by Dorcas. Aurora's mother had been killed by Dorcas. How did Rodolphus not get that that was a huge deal? Not just for Aurora but Dorcas too. If anything happened to Rodolphus, which she believed was completely possible, then this kid would be left a bitter, psychopathic orphan. That was a shit thing to release on the world. At least with Rodolphus around she had a chance of being relatively stable mentally speaking.
Pleased that Rodolphus hadn't fully managed to dodge her hex Dorcas kept her sense of delight to herself. It was just a fleeting moment of happiness as she recalled why she'd hexed him in the first place. Truth be told she felt he deserved a lot more than he'd got. A simple boil hex was going to be the least of his worried until he lifted her mood a little more. It took her a second to realise he wasn't talking about the arsehole she'd been chasing but what she'd been after for months instead. Dorcas had been waiting for what felt like a lifetime to know that she was making progress with Rodolphus with regards to the Death Eaters. It was starting to get to the point where she was certain her involvement in Bellatrix's death had hindered her attempts at becoming a Death Eater. Apparently not.
Before he rushed off like the little sissy that he was, Rodolphus spoke words that surprised her. He was admitting defeat. Defeat to a six year old. Dorcas turned to look at the angry Aurora. "Why don't you try and find Cat and Dog. They're my cats. They're probably upstairs. Go jump on a bed or something fun." She suggested, hoping the little witch would jump at the opportunity to explore the cottage that was about the size of one of her dolls houses or some crap. She didn't wait for the six year old to reply but instead made her way to the kitchen, passing the entrance, her little nook that she still didn't have a solid name for yet, and into the kitchen where she smirked a little at Rodolphus' suffering. He was cute when he was in pain, it looked good on him.

The argument taking place around the small child seemed to have no effect on Aurora at all. she was oblivious to the fact that her father was pissed off and that Dorcas was furious. Or perhaps she was fully aware but she wasn't letting on, she was content in her own little world, still expecting a game of hide and seek, which was not going to happen. She could hide all she liked, Dorcas was not giving into playing some stupid game with her when she should never have been here. What in the hell was Rodolphus even thinking? He'd literally brought his daughter to the place where her mother had died and he seemed to not be batting an eye about that. He was more bothered by the fact that Dorcas was in her own home! What a twat!
"Me cock shit up?!" What in the hell did that even mean? That wasn't a real sentence. No one ever said that. Dorcas was enraged as she raised her wand against him, sending a hex towards his face to cover him in boils. "I can't help it that I'm good at my job. I'm allowed to fuck shit heads up early. I don't have to conform to your fucking schedule." Which really was beside the point right now, "And why in the fuck would you bring her here?! Have you completely lost your mind?" He had to have lost the plot. There was no way in the world that this had been a sensible idea and yet still here they were and Dorcas had no bloody clue what to do with either of them other than hexing Rodolphus until the cows came home.

What the hell? She thought as she was hugged by the small child. What the Hell? She thought at the child suggested hide and seek then ran off. What the HELL!?! She thought as Rodolphus spoke like the true arsehole that he was. What was she doing here?! She fucking LIVED here! What in the fuck did he think she was doing here?! Was she missing something?! Had she moved since she'd been away? No! No she'd bloody not, so why in the fuck was he talking to her in such an accusatory tone!? Had she done something wrong? No! He was in the sodding wrong! He was bringing his daughter to her home while he thought she was away! How often did he do that? Was it a regular thing? What in the fuck!? "Me!?" She shouted across the distance of the dining room. "Are you thick? I live here you fucking, wank. What in the hell are you doing here ... and with her!?" Dorcas waved her wand. The wine and chocolate starting to clear itself from h er floor, "Get her the hell out of here." She said, her tone suggesting that this was a warning, which it kind of was. If he didn't get his precious little Princess out of her home then she was going to hex him the fuck in the face. Dorcas knew that was going to be easier said than done, she had seen how relentless Aurora was when she wanted something, but that was Rodolphus' problem. There was no way he should have brought her here in the first place.

Chocolate. Wine. Chocolate. Chocolate. Wine. Wine. Wine. It was a great bloody combo. Dorcas was well and truly chilled out and chuffed with being back early. She'd let her mum know that she was back safe and that she'd be at Sunday lunch tomorrow. She'd picked her mum and dad up a bottle of wine and some chocolate. She'd grabbed Dorian a bottle too. There wasn't exactly much she could grab Ariel being that the little fishface was now one years old but she'd got her something anyway. A little book in French that she'd read to Ariel with a little note at the front, promising to take her to Belgium one day, just the two of them. Dorcas wasn't too sure if Dorian would ever let that happen but she'd keep her promise. She'd take Ariel to Belgium and enjoy all the fine, weight-gaining foods the country was famous for and she supposed she'd be able to put up with a grumpy Dorian trying to play over protective daddy. She could practically hear him right now as if he were standing not too far behind her, allowing his complaints to ruin her mood. 'Dorcas, she needs to reapply her sunscreen ... Dorcas, Ariel has a spot of dirt on her dress, she's absolutely filthy and needs cleaning at once ... Dorcas, please return Ariel to England to stay with your parents at once and cure me of these blue balls I've been carrying around for what feels like a lifetime.' Well okay. That last one wasn't going to happen but it was hilarious to think of Dorian's blue balls and just how insane he might go if he didn't have a little human contact on them every now and then ... or perhaps he did and she was just a terrible Auror not picking up on it.
Dorcas was happily content in her own little make believe world that the sound of the front door opening startled her more than it should have. She jumped up off her sofa, red wine and chocolate squares tumbling to the floor as she whipped out her wand. From the middle of the house she saw a child emerge. Into the dining room she ran from the entrance and Dorcas was absolutely dumbfounded. With her wand raised she wasn't quite sure what to say. She'd only seen the child once before and had no desire to ever see her again. So what in the bloody fucking hell was she doing here now!? "Aurora?" She said somewhat firmly and in disbelief. "What the f-lying billywig are you doing here?" She managed to blurt out, avoiding swearing at the kid in sheer surprise. What she really wanted to ask was where in the fuck was Rodolphus and could she chop his bollocks off like he completely deserved right now. She heard Rodolphus' voice from the entrance and by bloody Merlin she was going to blast his face off if he stepped into the sodding dining room.

There was nothing like getting home after a mission away. It had only been a couple of days in Belgium after having tracked Sergio to a remote little village in the beautiful country. Dorcas had expected to have been gone a week or so but it appeared that mass murderer Sergio Moretti was not as bright as once thought. The Durmstrang alum had been residing in Wales for the last fifteen years. He'd been brought in for small crime after small crime until it had escalated. For three years she'd been trying to track him. She got word that he'd been seen travelling through France, heading towards Belgium. She was given the tip by a reliable source and so she'd played the game of bureaucracy to get permission to get into Belgium. Thank Merlin he'd gone there instead of staying in France, the French were bloody annoying to deal with and their process was a hell of a lot more difficult. Belgium were a hell of a lot easier to deal with and while she was there she may have taken a little time for herself to get some Belgium Chocolate to bring back.
Dorcas poured herself a glass of wine she'd brought back. The thought that she'd only gotten this because a man had killed seventeen people, both muggles and magicals alike didn't even remotely bother Dorcas. She had made a mental note to got to Belgium for an actual weekend. Roddy hadn't kidnapped her and taken her there yet so maybe the next time she took time from work she'd get Tersha on board and they could just head to Belgium for the week. Wine, beer, chips, waffles, chocolate. Okay, so Ger-bear probably needed to come too. She needed to let loose more often. Could she tell Dumbledore she was sick and take a week off? School had only just gone back, she probably would have to wait a couple of months before she could play the sick card. Well she needed to do more than just pine after hot guys. She needed to actually make a move on someone. Just so long as it wasn't Julian. That stupid sod could bugger off. She'd willingly recommend that he crawl back under the rock he'd escaped from but she had a little more respect for Dorian than to suggest that. Also Ariel should probably have her other uncle around and River wouldn't have been too happy about her brother being spoken to like that. Still, no sexy times for Geralina and Julian. She could do a hell of a lot better. They were definitely in need of a night out soon, before their little get away that she'd definitely make them take with her. They could head to that club on Whimsic Alley and find Geralina someone hot for the night. Not Hot Bar Guy though, Dorcas had her sights set on him. One day. If she didn't get distracted.
Grabbing her chocolate and wine Dorcas made her way to the far end of the house to her living room. She sat herself down on the cream sofa and leant back into her corner, chewing on the chocolate she'd shoved into her mouth on her way through the house. he wasn't supposed to be back until Wednesday but dear ol' Sergio had stayed in one place for far too long, getting comfortable and making it easy to track him down. Rumour was he was making his way through to Italy but his sister lived in Belgium with her husband and small family and Sergio had made the mistake of staying there and for far longer than he should have. Honestly, he'd escaped her for over three years and this was how he was caught? It seemed ridiculous. Even that dum-dum Rabastan would have been able to have caught Sergio in Belgium and he was crap at his job. Dumbarse couldn't even do his job and protect that stupid minister .... as if he wasn't in on her death, she thought, chuckling a little to herself.

Dorcas heard Aurora calling from a distance but as the shouting wasn't getting any louder Dorcas went ahead and presumed that Rodolphus had his child under control. At last. It was about bloody time he stepped up and did what a father was supposed to. Dorcas didn't know a whole lot about raising kids but she was fairly certain that Rodolphus was just as clueless. It seemed that if his kid had any kind of problem then he just gave her what she wanted. That wasn't parenting, that was ... something else. She had no idea what that was. Overcompensating for not knowing how to raise a kid maybe? Did any of those rich jerks know how to actually raise children? Dorcas was sure they were all off living the high life and letting their kids be raised by house elves. They had no interest in their kids, although Rodolphus did at least play a couple of rounds of quidditch at his daughter's command so she supposed despite not knowing what he was doing, he was doing somewhat okay.
Soon Dorcas was putting the broom away. She needed to get herself home and fast before Aurora escaped Rodolphus and made a run for it to find her. Dorcas wasn't sure Rodolphus could keep his daughter preoccupied for long. She seemed somewhat determined, which was kind of commendable, Dorcas thought as she made her way through to the house and up the stairs, listening out for any sign of Rodolphus or Aurora. She made her way through the immaculate home not hearing a single peep. She figured Rodolphus had taken his little Princess swimming although he was probably having to deflect a fair few questions because Aurora really seemed relentless. Dorcas found it amusing. At least she didn't have to deal with the girl again.
Once up in Rodolphus' room, Dorcas got herself dressed. She just used another of Rodolphus' expensive looking shirts to make herself a dress of sorts. She found her wand and just left. She couldn't remember if she'd brought anything else over but her outfit was probably completely ruined and if she'd left anything then Rodolphus' house elf would probably just return it to her home. Once ready she was out of the bedroom door and navigating her way through his home for hopefully the last time. She wasn't planning on ever returning, not after the morning she'd had. Once she was through the home she disapparated from the doorstep, reappearing at her own home. She sighed a deep breath, glad to be home at last.

It was awkward having a miniature Rodolphus around that looked very much like a combination of him and his deceased wife. The deceased wife she'd killed in self-defence. Yeah, take that 'awkward' and shove it up a dragon's backside because this was well beyond awkward, this was painfully uncomfortable and there seemed to be no getting out of it. Dorcas wondered why she didn't just walk off on the little brat that had a million and one demands. Possibly because she didn't want to upset the spoilt little Princess because really, who goes around upsetting kids? Or maybe it was because she enjoyed Rodolphus being stuck in such an awkward predicament. That was probably it. She could always walk away once she was done watching Rodolphus squirm, clasping at opportunities to get rid of her or his daughter. Just so long as one of them could get away he'd be happy.
"I'm an Auror. I catch arseholes and make sure they can't cause any more trouble." She said without a thought about swearing in front of the kid. "You can't come to work with me. Too dangerous." She could very well believe that the little girl was taken to work with daddy and that he let her do whatever she wanted at his company. No doubt people bent arse over backwards to accommodate her every little whim and Dorcas was completely certain that they were all ridiculous and unnecessary.
With the broom she'd used in hand, Dorcas made her way in the direction she'd come from with Rodolphus when they'd grabbed the bits for quidditch. She wasn't keen on the idea of fielding any more questions from Aurora and she fancied getting back home. She had crap to do and she wanted to be in a better mood. Sure Rodolphus being in an awkward situation and unable to just control his own kid was funny but it wasn't a situation that was entirely stress free. Being thrown into meeting Aurora was something Dorcas had never expected to happen. This was a side of Rodolphus' life that she never wanted to see but perhaps now he'd get just why her place was a far better location for crazy sex than his.

A foot came in the doorway faster than Dorcas had expect and she knew that her gut feeling had been right. This was going to be a shite evening. She looked into the killer eyes of a psychopath and grabbed out her wand, not caring if the witch was here to fight, talk, or bake some fucking cookies because no matter what Bellatrix's reasoning for being at her home, Dorcas knew there would always be something more sinister to her presence. Plus the witch deserved a good slash across that handsome face of hers. Dorcas didn't want to fail on delivering what was so rightly deserved and she had good reason too, the witch was technically trespassing. Oh, and the assault. There was that too.
Oh shiiiiiiiiii-
A blast came and Dorcas was thrown back against the back wall of her entry. It wasn't a massive space and so the impact was hard. Dorcas' hand was flung away from her wand which fell out onto the floor while her head hit the clock that had displayed the wrong time for over a week. She was planning on getting around to fixing it at some point. Or more likely her mum, Geralina, or Ader would get around to fixing it for her, whoever noticed first. Dorcas wasn't bothered. The thing was more decorative and right now there was the possibility that she might not live so it was fine that she'd never wasted her time on some stupid clock that was only giving her a literal headache right now. "Oh come on..." She groaned, pushing herself up off the floor she'd landed on. Feathers from the cushions slowly floated through the air and there were different sized splinters of wood from her bench just scattered across the floor.
Dorcas rolled across the small space to her right, grabbing up her wand that she'd lost from the blast. She'd always figured something like this might happen some day. Admittedly she didn't think it was a strong possibility but it was one she'd thought over a few times and there was usually one conclusion - there wasn't much Dorcas could do. Ultimately this was going to look bad if it had to become anything official, if she could just handle it and get rid of the psychopathic moron then no one would have to know. Not unless Bellatrix felt the need to blab for whatever reason. "Sure. Sugar's in the kitchen." Dorcas didn't take her eyes of the witch in her entry and she had her wand at the ready. Dorcas was very fond of her home, she'd actually put some effort into this one and she wanted to keep it for the next few years at least, but with Bellatrix here and knowing about it, Dorcas figured she'd be lucky if the place was left standing by the end of their encounter.

Quidditch was meh. Dorcas wasn't thrilled to be there but she played and when she noticed Rodolphus on edge a little, wanting to wrap it all up, she agreed to another game, just to piss him off a little more. She had to admit, although only to herself, that the second game wasn't half bad. She quite enjoyed it. She even smiled as Rodolphus messed around and wiggled his brows at her. Had there not been a small child present she might have knocked him off his broom and then pounced on top of him. They were yet to do anything naughty on the grounds and he'd lost the chance of ever doing anything at his place ever again after this morning's giant screw up. All things between them now were definitely only taking place at her home in Wales, miles and miles away from his daughter. It was one thing for Dorcas to be spotted by Aurora and spending a little time playing games with her at the child's request, but what if Aurora found out that Dorcas was the one that had killed her mother? Dorcas knew that just couldn't go down well. She had no idea what kind of relationship Aurora had with the crazy bitch she probably called 'mummy' but surely she missed her and Dorcas was the reason for that.
Quidditch was over and Dorcas was ready to head up to Rodolphus' bedroom to grab her wand so she could get home and put the morning behind her. Sure there were aspects of it that had been fun but on the whole it was something that should have been avoided. Talk of swimming came up and Dorcas was a fan of the pool but she wasn't interested in going swimming with Aurora, this was going too far. "I'm so poor but I do have one. It's at home but I can't swim today anyway. I have to do boring adult things like work." She said, trying to avoid being asked into the pool. She had work later she she wasn't lying. Starting later and not taking the day off was a good idea it seemed, but she needed to get home and get ready for work. Had things gone smoothly this morning then she'd have stayed with Rodolphus a while longer and only left when she absolutely had to but things hadn't gone smoothly, things had gone ear shaped and then that pear had been crushed by a stampede of hippogriffs.

The kid let go and Dorcas was relieved although it was coming at a cost. She had agreed to stick around and play quidditch with Rodolphus' daughter. There was something incredibly fucked up about that. She never wanted anything to do with the kid and here she was, mentally preparing herself to play quidditch with the girl. Whatever the kids version of quidditch was. Dorcas assumed it was gently tossing a kid sized quaffle back and forth while flying barely 30cm off the ground. It seemed kind of dumb but she was willing to y around, tossing a quaffle about if it meant not having to draw, colour in, or make the mermaidy art dance and swim around.
Rodolphus walked her through the home, Dorcas eating her breakfast as she went having ditched the colouring book on some fancy looking buffet table. Once they were in the garage Dorcas finished her cereal and eft the bowl on a small work space. She just assumed a house elf would notice her mess and would clean it up later. She didn't really care about leaving a trail behind her in Rodolphus' home. The place was so big and adorned with all kinds of fancy crap that her tiny amount of mess wouldn't get noticed. Who'd be exploring the upstairs or garage anyway?
Dorcas took a broom, smirking at what a state this whole morning had got Rodolphus into. Sure she was pissed off at him not having made sure his daughter was away for the morning but it was just fun to see him angry about it. He was such a sensitive twerp. "Honestly?" She said as Aurora shouted from somewhere outside, "I don't give a flying pixie crap. You were supposed to make sure this never happened and yet here we are about to play sodding quidditch." He was just lucky she wasn't smacking him across the face with the broom he'd handed her and that she was at least a little amused by the predicament he was in. Dorcas was in no mood to be blamed for the shit storm Rodolphus had got her caught up in but there was only one way out of it and that was through it. Now all she had to do was have ROdolphus lead the way, play Quidditch with a baby and figure out a plausible lie to get the hell off of this stupid estate.
