It was better than hiding out on her own. She grinned and leaned in conspiratorially when he asked if she was here with anyone, looking a little flustered at his choice of words. "No. No loverrrr," she told him, purring playfully at the end of the word. "How about you? Am I keeping you from anyone?" She hoped not. "I feel like I'm in trouble when people call me Livia." Nobody really did any more except her parents. Everyone called her Liv or Livvi, which made her sound cute and fun. And add to that fresh and fruity and she was winning. Liv grinned at Ant. "Oh, thanks!" She brushed a hand over her pants, which were indeed bright and zesty. It was nice to see they had the desired effect. "You, too, I love your shirt. She spun around to find Antoine Yaxley standing there with a plate of food. "Antoine, hey!" Liv's smile was wide as she looked over the plate full of chicken and salad in his hands. "That is so sweet, thank you!" she said, peeking behind him at Lola, who was watching them like they were the most fascinating play. Weird. Liv grinned up at Ant, glad to see a friendly pureblood face. And the world was a song and the song was exciting Everyone headed outside, and Liv followed, glad she had her sunglasses on to fend off the glare from the sun shining high over the lake, which was enormous. She wished she'd brought her camera to get some shots. Maybe she could have a word with this Leo guy and see if he wanted any pictures taken around his home, she'd adore doing that, the place was beautiful. London shoved Lunete towards some burly guy in a chair by the pool, and the others all headed towards the food, but Liv wasn't hungry. She also didn't want to be associated with the muggleborn standing next to her, so she politely stepped away. "Hey, I think I saw someone I know inside, I'm gonna go and say hi," she said, excusing herself and flitting back into the house for a nose around. Maybe this guy had a dog or something. "I'm Liv," she said, trying not to look at the yellow band on Lunete's arm. Instead she looked at Lola and nudged her with one hip. "I know, she makes me feel horribly underdressed." Liv ran a hand over her tight leggings, which, while summery and bright, were no match for Lola's dress. She looked cute, but she wished she'd gone for something nicer. The others arrived shortly after, and Liv was pleased to see Ollie Devereaux. At least he was someone she counted as a friend, two out of five wasn't bad. Okay, it was, but she didn't know Echo, and Johnny, whilst absolutely gorgeous, was also sporting a neon armband of shame, and Liv just couldn't force herself to be open to making friends like that. She hadn't been raised that way. She stuck by Lola's side as they entered the house, and ran her hand over a fancy vase near the front door. No dust. And the world was a song and the song was exciting A barbeque with two muggleborns in her group was not her idea of the perfect day out, but she had promised Lola she would go ages ago, and Liv hated to break promises. She could keep her mouth shut and get through it without any dramas, she was sure she could, but she didn't like it. It would be uncomfortable and awkward, and she had no idea what Lo was thinking inviting her 'other' friends, but she couldn't do much about her friends radical tendencies. All she could do was hope that Dora needed some company when they got to this Leo guys house and spend time with her instead. Putting her best smile in place, Livia checked the address one last time and popped her way right there. She was used to travelling to new places for work, but it was nice to be greeted with a lovely home in the Lake District for a change, and she pulled down her sunglasses to block out the sun as she stared up at the house. "Nice place," she said, skipping over to Lo, who was waiting on the drive. "Am I the first here? Has the apocalypse started?" Liv looked around incredulously. None of the others in their group were in sight. Liv tugged her Golden Retriever around the back of her brother's home, though Megara was rather excited at being taken on an adventure and she was leaping on the end of her lead, making far too much noise for their covert operation. Meg had not been approved for Alec's party, but she had been cooped up all day, and Liv couldn't bear the thought of leaving her home for hours while she went off and had fun with her family. Meg enjoyed being outside, since they lived in an apartment with no gardens for the pup to run around in. Livvi really wanted to get a house at some point, but the thought of leaving her gorgeous apartment made her sad. She knew she only needed to ask Sandy and he'd sort her out with a fabulous house, but she was holding off for now. Instead, Meg would get Lucian's entire back yard to run around in. A few waves of her wand later and Liv had sealed off any dangerous areas, locking Meg in an invisible bubble which still left her with plenty of room to run and frolic. "I'll come and check on you soon. Don't dig any holes," Liv said, kissing Meg a hundred times before running inside the house horribly late. She hung back in the doorway, catching the tail end of Lucian's speech. Everyone was cheering for Clem and Alec, and Liv had no idea why, but she joined in anyway, looking around for a spare glass of champagne that she could snag.  One Last Fling Before The Ring The night was going well, champagne was flowing, everyone in the building had smiles on their faces, and as Lyra finished up her speech, the lights began to swirl, and the dancers took to the floor. Liv could not be happier that she was single as she watched them perform, muscles rippling, sweat dripping. Merlin, it was filthy, and if she didn't end up in a back room with one of them, the night would be declared a disaster. She couldn't help but imagine those strong hands ripping the already high split in her dress, and... She whooped a bit louder, dancing along at the front of the crowd, sparing the occasional glance for Lilith, who seemed to be enjoying the show just as much as Livvi was. She sipped her champagne and turned to the woman beside her, who was fanning herself with a napkin. "You can thank Lyra for this," she said with a grin. Why she didn't get Lyra to set up strippers for her just for fun every weekend was beyond her, she was really slacking when it came to taking advantage of her sisters contacts.  Keeping Life Simple Liv pointed around the pitch, her finger spinning in a chaotic little circle. "Start with a few laps around the pitch," she said. "If you have any fancy flying tricks or stunts, feel free to show off and just pretend I'm not here." There was no Quidditch apparatus other than their brooms and the goal hoops, so simple flying shots would have to do as far as the pitch went. Liv was certain she could get some good pictures of Jazzy in motion if she just trailed her at the right angles. Anyone who might have been watching from below would have likely thought the scene a bit strange, but Liv had done much sillier and unconventional things to get the perfect shot over the years. She had become completely desensitised to what people thought of her methods when she was at work. Then again, she'd never really been one to care what others thought of her, even that time she had to lay on her back with her hair dipped into the edge of a puddle to get the perfect shot of a loved up couple in the waters reflection. That had been an absolutely stunning picture, and she had told herself the mud had done wonders for her hair. Her hair was short at the moment, chopped to just below her chin in cute waves, and the no fuss style helped a lot while she flew around slowly, trying different angles and snapping Jazzy from below as she looped and whirled and flew like a pro. "You're really good at this," Liv called after a while, meaning the flying, but the modelling was top notch as well. "Tell me you're thinking about going pro after school," she grinned, imagining Jazzy having a pretty good shot at getting a spot on one of the Professional teams. Liv did shoots for them all the time, and though the male-centric teams were her favourite - you really couldn't beat a sweaty locker room full of half naked Quidditch players - she could recognise a skilled female player when one flew under her nose. "Can we fly over the lake?" she asked, coming up to fly beside Jazzy so she didn't have to shout. "Will we get in trouble?" The naughty glint in her eyes was a tell tale sign that Livia kind of enjoyed the thought of getting into a spot of trouble at Hogwarts. One Last Fling Before The Ring Lyra joined her for a dance, and Liv fell into swing with her sister, shimmying, swaying, and looking generally sexy as hell with her bombshell sibling. "They're not going anywhere for at least a week," she laughed, looking down at her boobs, which were secured so well that she wondered if they'd ever move again. Her bright smile turned to a look of disdain at Lyra's mention of the stag night her soon to be brother-in-law would be having. "Not a chance!" Livvi scoffed. As if the boys were capable of being even half as organised as this. They'd probably just go to a pub, get drunk as skunks, and forget the entire thing. "As long as Rabastan shows up for the wedding, I don't think we need to worry about them," she muttered, voice lowering considerably as she spotted Lilith entering the building looking a million Galleons. She didn't want the bride-to-be overhearing any crap talk about her future husband tonight, and if she heard any of the guests upsetting her sister once the alcohol was flowing, she'd be telling them what for and kicking them out. Livvi was not afraid to speak her mind, and she was pretty sure Lyra could throw a mean hex. The whole room cheered as Lilith announced her arrival like the Queen she was, and Liv joined in, looping her arm around Lyra's tiny waist and gently tugging her across the room so that they could both envelop Lilith in a group hug. "Mrs Lestrange!" Liv squealed, scrunching her face up with happiness. It was going to be so odd calling her sister by a different name, though Lilith Lestrange really had a ring to it, she couldn't deny that. Glancing over her shoulder, she scooped up three glasses of champagne from the tray of a hovering waitress, handing one each to her sisters, and holding up her own for them to clink. "To one last fling before the ring! Wooo!" She nearly sloshed her drink all over herself with enthusiasm, but managed to save it and glug down enough of the bubbly goodness to make her glass a little bit less dangerous, and her stomach a little bit more fizzy. The rest of the guests were all still cheering, hyped up considerably at the arrival of the bride, and Livvi grinned from ear to ear. One Last Fling Before The Ring The Ambrosia Lounge was decorated beautifully. Bouquets of flowers adorning the tables, elegant streamers hanging from the ceiling, and large banners on the walls, each bearing a picture of Lilith with different slogans on them. One said "Buy her a shot, she's tying the knot", another bore the words "Raising Hell before the Wedding Bells", but Liv's favourite was right near the door and had the most beautiful image of Lilith above the words "Same Penis Forever." There were many more, and it was hard to take everything in, but she knew the restaurant had done a perfect job for them. Liv wasn't really one for attention to detail, there might have been a few missing bits and bobs, or things out of place, but to her photographers eye, it all looked beautiful, and she trusted that more than any checklist. She and Lyra had planned the evening together, and she felt like they had outdone themselves, really, and if Lilith wasn't happy with anything, it was easily changed with a flick of a wand. She nipped to the loo to check on her hair and makeup, being the first to arrive and check that everything was right. It was, but she probably looked a bit dishevelled after rushing there. Her dress was long, boobs practically hanging out but damn they looked good, and the split up the front left lots of room for dancing freely. A few waves of blonde hair were sticking up a bit from apparating, but she soon had them sitting back in their proper place, sounds of the band tuning their instruments floating in from the main room. It was going to be the most fun night the Burke sisters had had in a long time, and Livvi couldn't wait for everyone to arrive. There were already a few people traipsing in, and the bar was filling up quickly. She really should have gone out there to mingle and welcome people, but her lip gloss was more important, and she fussed with it for a bit longer before deciding that she looked smoking hot, and heading out to the bar with a huge smile on her face.
