Leo righted the table, running his hands over it as Felix answered him and Kiki apologised. He shook his head at them, finding a tiny chip on one corner, but nothing else wrong with the table. Relieved, he pushed it to one side of the room. "It's fine," he said, straightening up and watching the young guy gyrating on his bar, his hand stretched out towards Dorcas Meadowes. The bar would crack next, Leo could just see it now. "Everybody!" he called, wanting to make sure everyone in the room got the message. "I want you all to have fun, but if you break it, you buy it," he said, snatching up his prized healer award from the mantelpiece and walking out of the room to find somewhere safe to hide it. He opened the cupboard door in the hall but found Ant in there with a cute blonde. "Is this a barbeque or a brothel?" he said, shutting the door on them and heading upstairs to stow his more expensive breakables in his bedroom. He locked the door after him so nobody could get any ideas about dirtying his bed.

Jasper arrived not long after them, Geralina on his arm. Leo gave him a huge grin. They looked so good together, Jasper was insane for not making a move already. An Irishman passed them by, dishing out compliments to the ladies and Leo nodded along in agreement. "I don't intend to," he said, glancing at Dora beside him. Letting her out of his sight was not on his list of things to do tonight. If Jasper had any sense, he'd do the same with Geralina, though Leo noticed she looked uncomfortable with the shy greeting she offered. She didn't even introduce herself to Dora she was so awkward. "That's Geralina," Leo murmured in Dora's ear, not wanting her to feel lost or alienated in any way. Dorcas Meadowes sauntered right past them with an uninterested greeting, and Leo stared after her with a shake of his head. What had gotten her knickers in a twist? He didn't get to ask because the rest of Jasper's friends had arrived, a guy named Everett who seemed pretty cool, and the impossible to ignore Tersha, who looked at him like he was a piece of meat, but happily introduced herself to Dora. "The gang's all here, let's head inside," he said, standing up from the bench and offering Dora his arm. They led the way past Sully, who was disgruntled about the size of the door, and Leo opened the shed door for Dora, letting her go in ahead of him.

First there was a splash, then here was a bang and a squeal, then the word 'twat' echoed through the pool area, and Leo wasn't sure where to look first. Dora had been drowned by the splash of someone jumping into the pool, and though she looked pissed, Leo couldn't help but feel desperate to see what had been broken inside the house. He rounded the pool and paused next to Dora, who now had zero chance of noticing him like he'd wanted her to. "Hey, I'll get you a towel," he said, slipping around her and rushing into the house. "What smashed?" he called to anyone in the area. A girl pointed towards the bar and he hurried through the kitchen and stopped in the doorway. Kiki Sullivan and Felix Flint were tangled on the floor with his very expensive coffee table upended beside them. "What happened?" Leo asked, moving further into the room to inspect the damage.

And there she was. Leo spotted her standing outside in short shorts and a bikini top. She looked hot. And then a young guy started talking to her and Leo felt a horrible sinking feeling. Was she here with someone? And he was young and good looking, too. He'd purposely neglected to add a plus one to Dora's invite, yet there she was, not alone. Competitiveness spiked, he decided there was only one thing for it. He needed to show her that he was better than the young guy she was with. It was pool time. Ant was inside, Lola seemed to be alone at the barbeque, and Leo couldn't impress Dora and cook at the same time, so he'd need help. He headed to the living room, grinning at the sight of all the happy couples enjoying themselves, though he wasn't sure Kiki and Felix were a couple, but they looked happy enough bumping and grinding.

"Hey, party people," Leo called, pointing to Gabe, who was behind the bar with Freya. Leo hesitated, then turned his finger on Dorian instead, who had a beer in his hand and nobody to talk to. He was the better choice, rather than ruining Gabe's fun. "Humbertooo," he sang, hooking his thumb over his shoulder. "Can you take care of the barbeque while I get changed? People are getting in the pool and I have... business to take care of." He gave Dorian a wink. He wouldn't ask questions in front of everyone, Leo was confident about that, but they'd definitely be having a chat about a certain girl later.

Leaving the living room, Leo hopped up the stairs two at a time and headed for the spare bedroom where he'd stashed his swimming shorts earlier. It was closer than walking to the other side of the house to his own room, and he barged right in, stripping his top off over his head and freezing in the doorway at the sight of Doc and a blue haired woman having a very good time on the bed. "Whoa," Leo held up a hand. "Hey, hi. Sorry." He glanced between Doc and the woman. "Is this the girlfriend?" The girlfriend Doc hadn't introduced to any of them yet. Well, what a way to meet her!

Some of the kids started dancing along with Neve, who seemed to be having the time of her life with this storytelling thing. She was twirling her wand, and acting out all of the parts, and Blaise was clapping excitedly. He stood up to join in, and Leo took a few pictures to show Kara later. A larger figure joined in not too far away, and Leo looked up to see Dorian's brother dancing with Ariel. Leo glanced around, spotting Dorian a few feet away with Meadowes. Again, Leo had to wonder what those two saw in each other, it was such a weird pairing. Dorian asked him to take a few snaps of his brother dancing, and Leo chuckled, lifting his camera and clicking away as Julian did a spin. "Should have put him in a fairy dress, too," he said, laughing.

"Alright, you two behave," Leo said, a naughty grin in place as he left Jasper and Geralina and headed inside, passing Ant, who was clearly no longer manning the barbeque, but flirting with young blondes instead. Leo glanced back outside to see Lola alone with the food. Okay. Everything was under control. The food table was almost bursting anyway, he could be done with the barbequing portion of the barbeque soon. Leo poked his head in the kitchen to find Halley and Roux holding hands in front of the open freezer. He'd seen stranger things. He moved on, passing more guests and giving quick welcomes, wondering if it was too early to ditch his host duties and jump in the pool. He also couldn't help but wonder if Dora had arrived yet.

"Jas!" Leo halted in his tracks and spun around at the sight of Jasper and the hot brunette from Dorian's party. Was he dating her now? Why hadn't he said anything? Jasper introduced the hottie as Geralina Drake, and Leo's eyes flicked knowingly to Jasper. She was the cute friend who made Jasper's eyes light up whenever he talked about her. "The far superior healer," Leo corrected, pulling Geralina in for a hug. "I've heard a lot about you, I don't know why Jas hasn't brought you along sooner," he said, letting her go and turning to Jasper for a quick hug. He patted him on the back. "Are you two a thing?" he whispered.
