PERSONALITY Boggart: Lily being killed by Voldemort. As a Muggleborn in love with a pureblood she is a prime target, and he would see her lifeless body, cut down by the killing curse. Mirror of Erised: Just a happy life with Lily and his best friends by his side, living life to the fullest. Together. Probably a few wild haired kids running around in the background like maniacs. No Voldemort. No worries. Bliss. Patronus: Stag - Lily agreeing to marry him. It would have been just her agreeing to go out with him in the first place, but she went and upped that when she said yes. James He's gregarious, outgoing, larger than life, and despite his arrogant tendencies, so is his heart. His capacity to love is tremendous, and the people he does care for are in posession of one of the most fiercely loyal people on the planet. He will fight to the death for his loved ones, and often does so with blind ambition, getting himself into hot water more often than not. He never looks before he leaps, and will pursue any caper he thinks looks like it might be a bit of a laugh. He certainly lives life to the full, and Merlin is he great for a good time. Laughter follows him around wherever he goes, and he's fully aware of how great his sense of humour is, thank you very much. James is smart, not necessarily the kind of person who paid a lot of attention in lessons, but he's intelligent enough that the things he takes an interest in come easily to him. When he applies himself, he's brilliant, when he doesn't, he's frustrating at best. Smart enough to have managed to become an illegal Animagus, mind. Something he would love to brag about, and it kills him to keep it a secret, though he guards it with his life. He's a fierce person all around. Everything he does, he gives 1000% to, and though his arrogance has dropped back into confidence these days, he will always be someone who gives his all in any situation. HISTORY Mother: Euphemia Potter, 69 years old. Father: Fleamont Potter, 69 years old, retired entrepreneur. Siblings: None. Partners: Lily Evans, 19 years old, fiance. Others: Sirius Black, 19 years old, best friend, brother. Remus Lupin, 19 years old, best friend. Peter Pettigrew, 19 years old, best friend. James was born in the spring, when the buds were just appearing on the trees, the bees finding their way out into the world once again, and animals were knocking each other up left, right, and centre. He was a happy baby, loved, cherished, worshiped, even, by parents who had given up hope of ever having a child. The Potter's were quite old when they had him, and he was their little miracle, and spoiled rotten from the moment he let out that first rock star scream between his mother's legs. With a shock of dark hair, and an abundance of energy, he was the most beautiful baby they had ever seen. That is how James "remembers" it, or at least, that is the story he was told over and over whenever he asked. He was treated like a prince all his life, by a family who could afford to do so, and it resulted in him thinking very highly of himself. There was nothing wrong with that, he was a loving boy, and he knew right from wrong. He had friends in the neighbourhood and he mixed well, he was ever popular, his parents would go as far as to say, and quite the fast learner. Full of energy, they found it hard to keep him entertained as a young boy, and bought him every toy going to try and hold his interest, the most successful being a broom, which James would spend hours racing around the garden on. Hogwarts was inevitably calling for him when he turned eleven, and James was ready for it. His parents had given him the confidence and the social tools to be able to go for it without worrying about being away from home, and he threw himself in without looking back, managing to make friends on his first day. He was sorted into Gryffindor, something which hadn't surprised anyone, really - where else would he have gone? - and found himself catching the attention of a group of lads who would be sharing his dorm. Sirius Black proved to be just as bold as James, and the two soon became more like brother's than anything. And despite the quieter, more unassuming natures of Remus Lupin and Peter Pettigrew, James found them to be quite a laugh, and his loyalty to the three boys grew stronger by the day. They were soon seen as the group to be seen with, and everyone either loved them, or hated them for their fun loving ways. James was the ring leader, of course, who else would be the boss? Sirius his mischievous second in command, and the friends made their Hogwarts lives brighter by pulling pranks and breaking as many rules as they could get away with. All in the name of fun, of course, never anything serious, despite the glares that came from people whenever James had a run in with the snot nosed Severus Snape. Those glares mostly came from Snape's best friend, the vibrant Lily Evans, who had caught James' eye from an early age. In their second year, it was discovered that Remus had a little... problem. He was a werewolf, and far from being horrified by it, James' loyalty did not falter, quite the opposite, he came up with the great idea that himself, Sirius, and Peter could all become Animagi so that Remus wouldn't be alone during his transformations. Of course they were far too young to be able to do such magic, but dedication was another of James' strengths, and so he applied himself fully to the lessons that would help them achieve their goal one day, never losing sight of the fact that his friend needed them. It wasn't until their fifth year that they managed it, and James took on the for of a stag, gaining him the nickname Prongs, from his friends, a name only known by their little group. By this stage, his hard work had drilled something new into him, a sense of calm, a sense of achievement at having accomplished something other than pranking people, and James began to mellow somewhat with his mischief. Of course his hatred for Snape still stood, but everyone else got off a little bit lighter, and a new sense of maturity began to creep in. He didn't need to be the jokester all of the time to be in the spotlight, he was now known as smart, someone who did really well in his lessons, and a Quidditch star, and that was enough. It wasn't enough for Lily Evans, who turned him down every time he asked her out, but James was persistent. In his final year of Hogwarts James was made head boy alongside a certain red head as head girl. Well, he took advantage of that, didn't he? He could only assume his hard work in lessons and his Quidditch credentials made him stand out for the role, and Sirius took over as head trouble maker in the gang, but it all worked out for the best, as Lily finally saw something in him that she'd been clearly overlooking for years (girl needs glasses!). She agreed to a date, and then another, and then that cheeky grin of his slowly worked its way into her heart. James found himself head over heels in love for the first time, with someone who wasn't himself. How weird. But he adored it, and her, and everything she brought to his life. He proposed to her after graduation, and to his astonishment - he may have blurted "are you serious!?" - she said yes. The wedding is set for May, a quiet affair for their closest friends and family, and they have been trying to fit in organising the thing between doing work for the Order of the Phoenix, which they both pledged their loyalty to after graduation. Right now neither of them are working, but James' family have enough money for him to support them both, and to help Remus out. They live together in a nice little flat, and hopefully won't have too many kids so they don't need to live in one of those pompous mansion things you could get lost in.
