PERSONALITY Boggart: Lose his position of Patriarch in the family, and seeing his little brother take it from him. Mirror of Erised: Having the Bellerose family expand their crimminal orginzation around the entire world and become feared by all crime familys. Patronus: Panther – Nicolas is unable to cast a Patronus but if he was able to the memory he would use would be the day he killed his Uncle and became the Patriarch of the family, taking charge of the family and it’s criminal operations. Nicolas has two sides to him depending on what he needs to show. One side is the polite, public charming side of his while the other side is the criminal mastermind who leads his family’s smuggling operations with an iron fist and has a violent temper. His temper while not an extremely short fuse, is still short, and becomes rather violent. Usually, one to not act without thinking he is at times prone to act without thinking usually during one of his violent anger outbursts. He is an extremely charming and manipulative person able to talk himself out of most things or able to talk an older woman out of her life savings. Power-hungry doesn’t even begin to describe what Nicolas is, he was raised by a family that prided itself on power one that dueled themselves to even the death for power. He is willing to do anything to obtain power, for example killing his Uncle to become the family’s Patriarch. He is willing to lie, cheat, blackmail, kill, kidnap, or even commit mass killings just to gain more power or keep what power he has. Loyalty is something that barely exists for Nicolas, he has loyalty to his family name mainly because he wants a legacy for himself and the family. He holds loyalty to friends who he considers close friends or those who are close to the family. He does not trust easily at all and is always suspicious of people motivates especially with those he doesn’t know. A huge flirt and confident man with the ladies, he has been unable to commit to any one woman. He is also known to have a big ego and be a snob considering how he feels about his family’s wealth and influence in France. He is a true Slytherin Scorpio with him being drawn to the Dark Arts and anything that is forbidden and always wanting to learn more about them and how far he could push them and himself. Dion Ignace Bellerose, 3, Half-Blood, Nephew, Killed by Nicolas Bellerose Nicolas Roi Bellerose was born on November 11, 1947 into the wealthy, and influential pure-blood Bellerose family in Paris, France. The family is known for its influential ties within the French magical community and the international magical community with them holding great political sway. They also run numerous criminal activities mainly a smuggling operation of rare magical items and illegal items in and out of France. Nicolas was the eldest of Rey and Moya Bellerose and was always the favorite of Rey’s, the natural heir to the Bellerose throne. In 1950 his father lost a duel for Kingship, to be the Patriarch of the family to Ignace Bellerose, Nicolas’s uncle. Around this time his mother gave birth to his younger sister Estella Bellerose who he was close with while growing up. His parents eventually gave him a younger brother when he was seven years old, Alvar Bellerose. While he felt a competitive streak at once since he was no longer the only son, he also felt a profound of loyalty and love for his little brother. His father was strict on how he was raised with him being taught that pure-bloods were the best and that half-bloods were ok to associate with but not to marry or have children with. Muggles and Mud-Bloods were a disgrace to the world and should be purged, don’t associate unless you must. Never help them unless it leads you to your greater goal. These were all lessons his father drilled into him along with the Dark Arts which he was forced to learn from the age of six. He was taught the art of dueling by age eight despite him not having his own wand. Etiquette, politics, and history were lessons his mother insisted upon stating that a future Patriarch of the family would need such knowledge. Nicolas despite living in France was sent to live with his Uncle in London to go to Hogwarts who was a member of the Board of Governors for the school. Nicolas was sorted into Slytherin house at once with the Sorting Hat recognizing the unnatural desire for power, and the lengths he was willing to go for. Nicolas embraced the house that his Uncle was an Alumni of and become known for his pure-blood views and his hatred of Muggles and Muggle-Borns. He was also known to be a rather good student one who excelled in his studies, mainly DADA, Potions, COMC and his upmost favorite History of Magic. Most would find it a dull subject he had learned from his mother that one could learn from the lessons of history’s failures on the road to power, to aid himself. Plus, he found the knowledge interesting. He was horrible at Divination, and Astronomy was a waste of time. Herbology he got by but found it his most distasteful subject hating plants and flowers. He became a member of the Dueling Club in his second year and joined the house Quidditch team in his third year as a Chaser being known for an aggressive chaser and not afraid to take someone out. In his sixth year he made Capitan of the Quidditch team and remained so for his last two years at Hogwarts. He was never appointed Prefect or Head Boy despite his good grades, and activities in Dueling, Student Government, and Quidditch. This was because he got into to many fights both duels and physical ones with mud-bloods and other blood traitors who tried to stand up to him. He was known for not standing down to a fight and willing to fight anyone even a friend if they were acting out of place. In his fifth year his brother Alvar started Hogwarts and he became extremely protective of his little brother making sure that only he could mess with his brother no one else. In 1965 he graduated from Hogwarts with top marks and began at once his required travel of the world for the next three years as dictated by his Uncle. During these three years Nicolas learned more about the Dark Arts from fellow Bellerose contacts and various people he met in his travels from country to country. Along the way he had numerous relations with different women including one muggle-born by accident not knowing her true blood status. She became pregnant and eventually gave birth to a son nine months later, while living in Italy. When hearing the news and that she was truly a Mud-Blood, Nicolas hunted her down in April 1967 and killed both her and his son due to their blood status and that he would be disowned by the family for embracing such a son or lady as a wife. In this 3-year pilgrimage he was required to focus on one area he wished to master, Nicolas chose to study DADA with wanting to know more about the Dark Arts than anyone else ever did. He extended his travels by another three years eventually settling in Brazil for a while from July 1969 to October 1970 before traveling once again from place to place studying more areas of Dark Magic. He eventually became fluent in Italian and Portuguese along with speaking French and English fluently. He made money during this time by making various potions and selling them on his travels along with finding odd jobs. Nicolas is an accomplished Duelist something he took time to hone during his travels learning different spells and counter curses to help him in a duel. He won the Dunstable Dueling Championship two years in a row from 1969 to 1971, a dueling tournament held in Ireland. He won the French Dueling Competition in 1972 and the next year barely winning against a formidable opponent from a rival France family. He participated in the All-British Dueling Tournament in 1976 but lost but was able to win the championship next year in a re-match. He was appointed to the Board of the British Wizard Dueling Alliance in 1978 and still holds the position. He was hired by the French Ministry of Magic in April of 1972 working as an Lawyer for the International Magical Law Office. He was promoted in 1974 of November to Chief of Staff for the Ambassador to Britain and stayed here in this position making several contacts in the British Ministry of Magic. In 1975 he was engaged to a Pure-blood woman named Celeste Tulia from Italy but before they were married she was killed in a home invasion. Nicolas was out of the country for work during the time and the loss of his soon to be wife defeated him and made him more ruthless. He joined the Death Eaters in early 1972 despite being in France most of the time, he helped serve the Dark Lord by carrying out tasks in France. He found out in late 1973 that his brother had married a mud-blood and was having a child with her, an eerier thing he had done, but Alvar did this willingly and accepted banishment and exile from the family to be with her. Nicolas was hurt and betrayed as he was close to his brother and felt he should have killed them like he did his own abominations he created and knocked around with. He was also furious that his Uncle broke family tradition and allowed Alvar to go free and not kill him for being a traitor to the family. In October of 1977 he challenged his Uncle to a Royaute, a Duel to be Patriarch of the family. It was a legendary duel within the family considering Ignace was an accomplished Duelist as well and a master of Charms. In the end Nicolas was able to get the upper hand and killed his Uncle not showing him mercy and in doing so became Patriarch of the family. The entire family fell in line and after doing so Nicolas ordered that Alvar and his mud-blood wife, and bastard child to be killed for their crimes against the family. Nicolas has focused his time on the family expanding its influence within France and branching out including to the UK like his Uncle had been doing for years before Nicolas killed him. On December 18th, 1978 he traveled to London to attack and murder his sister in law and nephew leaving his sister Estella to kill Alvar. He was back in France when he received news that Alvar had in fact defeated and killed their sister Estella, something that Nicolas has avowed to avenge. On April 5th, 1979 Nicolas was appointed by the French Minister of Magic to serve as Ambassador to the British Ministry of Magic due to his connections he made as Chief of Staff for his predecessor who also recommended him for the job. He has recently moved to the UK now to start his job as an Ambassador and build a partnership between the two Ministries during the troubling times they face. In truth he is using the position and its influence and power to help him expand the family’s criminal activities into the UK in ways his Uncle never achieved. He is also planning on extracting revenge on his younger brother and plans to make him suffer before eventually killing him. He is also on the hunt for a wife and someone to bear him a son since he has not had another child since.
