PERSONALITY Boggart: The boggart would turn into herself, but not the warm down to earth Aura but a vicious bloodthirsty killer Aura. Aura is scared of what she can become if she went and become a killer and embraced the darkness. Mirror of Erised: She would see herself reunited with her husband and child that were taken away from her. Despite knowing the dead can’t be brought back to life this is what her heart truly desires above anything else. Patronus: Sun Bear – Her happiest memory was when her daughter Antheia was born. Aura suffered from two miscarriages before she was finally able to go full term and give birth to Antheia fulfilling a dream of finally becoming a mother and having a little girl. They say Hufflepuff house accepts those who have a little bit of each house and those who are unable to find a place in the other houses, the ones that weren’t wanted you could say. This would describe Aura to a T. She is as loyal as a Hufflepuff, brave like a Gryffindor, wise like a Ravenclaw, and has the cunning ambitions of a Slytherin. Most people will never meet someone as kind as Aura and if they do they should hold on to her. She is extremely kind, down to earth, open-minded and generous as well. Nature and animals are big parts of Aura’s life, herself feeling always happier when is outside surrounded by magical animals, plants, and the fresh air. While willing to help anyone in need she is not one to try to push-over unlike some of her fellow Hufflepuffs. She is more willing to stand up for herself, and when pushed to the edge she lashes out in a temper that would lead some to believe she is possessed by a Demon. Aura has a temper that runs in her family and unlike the rest of them she has not learned to control it. It is not uncommon for her to black out at these times completely unaware of what she is really doing. A natural born explorer she adores nature and prefers to be outside more of the time instead of indoors. Aura not only has a hard time dealing with her temper but also her other emotions such as grief from her family being killed. While she tries to keep her emotions in check and under control but her having, a nervous breakdown or an emotional breakdown is all too common sometimes. Aura doesn’t have an ability to pace herself when it comes to work and her life. She either puts the pedal to the medal and risks overworking herself or she rivals that of Bruno Mar’s lazy day song. A multi-tasker at heart, she refuses to abandon projects and insists that she finishes anything she starts. Stubborn as a bull would describe her as well when it comes to some of the set-in stone views like how the war is a bad thing for both sides and is hypocritical at best. The Nightingale family line is known to be a pure-blood family line that has a long tradition of establishing peaceful relations with Muggles and half-bloods. Aura and her family moved back to England shortly after she turned eight years old. She was raised by her mother and father to be a loving and kind person, hardworking, and always look out for others. “Protect those who can’t protect themselves” is what her father would say. When Aura was eleven, she received her letter to Hogwarts and was sorted in Hufflepuff house like both of her parents were. The Sorting Hat struggled at first with Aura, surprising her by mentioning that Slytherin could suit her well, to bring out her inner self. However; the hat felt in the end that Hufflepuff was best for her saying “Hufflepuff will serve you well, just as you will serve them well.” Aura was a social butterfly during school always making friends with her fellow Housemates and even in the other houses. She was one of few Hufflepuffs you could seeing even hanging out with a few Slytherins who accepted her half-blood status. She took to her studies with Herbology standing out as her favorite subject just like it was with her mother. In her fifth year Aura was made a Prefect because of her good grades and overall ability as a leader. She was also part of many clubs during her time at Hogwarts keeping her busy from Dueling Club, to the Herbology club, Potions, and even writing for the school newspaper. She was a Chaser for the Hufflepuff house team for her third and fourth years at Hogwarts she quit the team not finding any love for the sport. In her seventh year Aura was made Head Girl. Aura graduated Hogwarts in 1968 and with her mother’s help was able to get a job at St. Mungos as an Apprentice in the Potion and Plant Poisoning Ward. For the next two years, she learned from her mother and others at St. Mungos on how to eventually become a Healer. On her 19th Birthday(1970) she was hired on as a Healer in the Potions and Plants Ward with the Director citing her “out of the box thinking, quick reflexes, and a complex understanding of rare magical plants.” Over the next few years, Aura started to learn from her father on how to be an Animagus something he was himself. It was a difficult branch of magic to learn but with her dad’s help and countless nights of practicing she was eventually able to finally become an Animagus by the time she was twenty-three. Aura took the form of a Sun Bear, surprising her dead who thought she would be a wolf like him. However, like Aura the Sun Bear while small it’s known for its viciousness and temper something just like Aura. Around this time Aura met and fell in love with a Muggle man named Victor Whiteville who was a Geologist. It was something out of a fairy tale book they just were smitten with each other at their first sight. Over the next six months, they were married and started traveling the world together with him wanting to study new rocks and minerals while Aura started to become a Herbologist along with being a Healer. During their travels Aura discovered several new magical plants that she hadn’t ever come across, she was also able to meet and create relationships with several other Herbologists and Healers in other countries that she uses in her job today. Aura kept her family name at her parent’s insistence, which Victor did not mind too much of Aura’s surprise and relief. On January 1st, 1977 after two miscarriages Aura finally gave birth to a baby girl named Antheia Fiona Nightingale. Antheia was the light of Aura’s life she adored being a mother and having a little girl who just adored her mother in return. Aura joined the Order back in 1976 when it became more and more clear sides needed to be taken in the war, and while she was skilled at dueling she never wished to fight. She was a healer, one who advocated peace, not war. Life was perfect Aura had a nice cottage with her husband and their daughter, a glowing garden, and a wonderful job where she was being recognized for her skill in rare magical plants and their poisons. However, tragedy struck her happy little fairy tale life in May of 1978 with an attack from a group of death eaters while on a nightly walk, resulting in her husband and daughter’s death. Aura skilled at protective magic stood her ground and protected her family for a good time but in the end, not even she can block the killing curse. It was this moment the death of her family that sent Aura over the edge, lashing out with everything she had not caring who got hurt or killed in the process. That night not only did Aura’s family die, but she killed two death eaters, mauling one of them when she transformed into her Animagus form. The grief from taking the life of others, despite their affiliation and crimes, along with her family’s death was too much for Aura to handle. She viewed the war as costing not only her family but her innocence and quickly left the Order declaring herself Neutral and over with the war. A week after the attack she quit from St. Mungos packed up the cottage and moved away from England to her mother’s family home country of Greece. Over the rest of 1978 Aura traveled between Greece and other countries working as a traveling Herbologist trying to find a way to handle the grief and what she had done. In January of 1979 Aura received news from her parents that they wished for her to return to England and in hopes of her doing so had arranged for to get her old job back at ST. Mungos. However; reluctant to return to her profession as a Healer since she viewed herself as a killer instead asked her parents to help finance the startup of a new business. Aura had recognized no shop existed purely for the branch of Herbology and given her experience in the subject and her knowledge decided to open a shop dedicated to it. With her parent’s money and several powerful constructions charms, her shop was officially built in Mystic Alley. Aura used her contacts from her travels to help get rare and foreign magical plants to have in the greenhouse of her shop, including obtaining supplies from shippers at a much lower cost allowing her to run the business more freely. Near the end of February 1979 Aura officially opened her shop Regnum Magicis Plantis (Realm of Magical Plants) to the public. Currently she is focused on running her shop, settling back in England and still coping with the death of her soul mate and daughter.
