PERSONALITY Boggart: Herself as a mad harpie, killing innocent people with no mercy Mirror of Erised: Herself and a future husband at their wedding, surrounded by family and loved ones, reunited with her lost father. Patronus: Cat - Her happiest memory is her only memory of her father. The moon was full, and he had placed a feather in her hand. She can't remember what happened before or after, just this very moment. It comes back whenever she looks at the full moon. Lamia is a true free spirit. She's happy-go-lucky and enjoys the social and emotional connections she can make with others. She is charming, independent, energetic and compassionate, and cares deeply about people, no matter if they are family or strangers. She may seem superficial to some, as her veela looks and abilities can be misleading as well, but this is not the case. She passionately pursues her dream about living with wizards and longs to experience everything she has heard about. She wants to understand herself and be accepted for who she is much more than she wants to fit into the world around her. As she reached adulthood, she has learned to embrace her veela heritage, and is proud of her abilities, both as a dancer and her charm. She wants to be true to herself, and makes decisions based on her feelings. Her rationality doesn’t always kick in, but Lamia can size up her choices and make quick decisions that take her in the direction she wants to go… She is also sentimental, and likes to collect scents and objects to remind her of memorable experiences. HISTORY Mother: Timmain, 38, veela Father: Paeris, 42, veela Siblings: None Partners: None yet Others: Aunt Venka, 45, veela Lamia's parents had a difficult relationship from the start. Paeris met Timmain when she was a teenager, and Paeris was just old enough to take care of himself. The veela race is an unstable kind. Male veela are rare, and known for being most aggressive and moody, which Paeris had difficulties to escape. However, Timmain chose to ignore this, in love with the idea of love. She chose to go with Paeris and live with him. It started with just the two of them, moving from place to place. Paeris was protective of his younger partner, so he kept her and himself hidden from wizards that could steal her away to use her hair for wandmaking. This made Timmain grow afraid of wizards. After a few years, the couple settled down in a cottage in a forest large enough to not be stalked by humans. Timmain gave birth to Lamia, a healthy veela baby. Lamia was a peaceful child. She was never angry, and had a rich inner life, often hidden in a bush or under her bed, daydreaming and playing make-believe. Timmain thought she was like a dream, causing no trouble at all. Paeris, however, was the one acting like a troubled child. His nature made him grow restless after staying at one place for too long, and his rage got more and more difficult to control. Male veela are rare, and their genetics make them wilder and more aggressive than the female veela, to make them go around and procreate more easily. Paeris had to go. Even though Timmain accepted that it would be better and safer this way, this affected her deeply. She loved him and wanted him to be happy so she let go, but her heart was broken. Lamia was still a small child, but it affected her, too. As she grew older, she started to get mood swings. Her rage was difficult for her mother to control, and she had to contact her estranged family to help her with her child. It was her sister Venka who would be their saviour. She was older and stronger than Timmain, and Lamia learned to trust her. She used other methods, let Lamia rage freely, and taught her how to focus her energy on productive things like hunting. The encouragement helped Lamia learn how to use her skills for hunting, and how to stop her mood from taking over her. In short, she helped her tame her puberty. After Lamia had grown more stable, her mother let her come with her aunt on her sporadic trips to Hogsmeade, the closest village in their area. Timmain was still afraid of wizards, but her sister was calm and patient with her. But she would seldom join them, telling Lamia that someone should take care of the house. Venka had worked as a dancer on festivals and other happenings for the wizarding world, and knew them well. When Lamia was old enough, Timmain allowed her to join her aunt on her dancing jobs, and learned to love wizards. Now, Lamia is old enough to travel alone. She dances in a nightclub in London during the weekends, where she spends her night at a nearby inn.
